Membership Monday ~ November 2021 KOM Kinda Sorta Love Ya ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm sharing a pretty CAS card today for Membership Monday! I used the beautiful November 2021 Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Co. called Kinda Sorta Love Ya! And I'm definitely loving this KOM!! I've been wanting to play with this beautiful snowflake stamp ever since I saw the reveal of the kit!

Sometimes a CAS card just feels right... and this time it definitely felt right! I did just a bit of ink smooshing with Kitsch Flamingo and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks.

And then I stamped the sentiment directly under the ink smooshing. I die cut the ink smooshed card stock with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs. I stamped the snowflake on a scrap of white card stock with Gina K Black Amalgam ink.

I used the following Copic markers to color the snowflake ~ C00, C2, C3, B000, and B00. I fussy cut the snowflake and adhered it to the card.

I added some glittery goodness to the snowflake with a Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer pen.

You can see some of the pretty glitter in those photos. It's very sparkly in person.

I kinda wish I had just used blue Copics on the snowflake. I love pink, purple, and blue for Christmas cards but I didn't want to redo the snowflake either. I still think it turned out cute.

I'm going to be take a little break from Membership Monday posts for the month of December, but I hope to resume this series in the new year! I will, however, be sharing very short blog posts each day for the month of December along with my Countdown to Christmas Series on YouTube where I'll be revealing each new stamp in the Unity 2021 Advent Calendar and then making something with the stamp! Be sure to subscribe to my channel so you don't miss out on the countdown! I sure hope that you'll come check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 16 ~ Sweet Treat Christmas ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing my last card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 16 in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. I used the super cute Sweet Treat Christmas stamp kit from Unity that recently released for their Brown Thursday sales {psst... there's just a couple more days to snatch up items for this awesome sale!!}!! I just adore the cute cookie stamps in this set!

I've really been enjoying playing with my Kraft card stock lately and couldn't help but color up the cute reindeer cookie with my Copics on Kraft!

The kraft and the coloring kinda felt vintage to me so I decided to go with some of my favorite vintage Christmas papers from The Paper Studio called Old World Winter.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the reindeer cookie:

Cookie Base ~ E30, E31
Reindeer Face / Neck ~ E30, E31, E35, RV13, R20
Antlers ~ E31, E35, E37
Nose ~ R14, R20, R27

I altered the sketch a bit in two ways for this card... first, I flipped the sketch and also I wanted to use a larger sentiment so I opted for the beautiful new Heart of Christmas Sentiment kit and coordinating dies. I distressed the edges just a bit with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink.

Well, I'm pretty happy with this one and my daughter said it's the cutest card ever so... that's that! LOL!

Here's a look at Sketch 16... there's just a few more days to play along with this challenge! Stop by the {BYSHC} blog to see even more sweet inspiration for this sketch.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

I just can't get enough of this adorable mouse gnome... a new fantastic release by the super talented Jeanie Hays! Love her gnomes!

The Colossal Snowflake is stamped with Wow Clear Embossing ink on a blue card stock and then heat embossed with Alabaster White Embossing powder. I then die cut it with the coordinating Colossal Snowflake die.

The sweet Peppermint Kisses Mouse Gnome stamp was stamped with Gina K Amalgam black ink and then colored up with the following Copic markers:

Nose / Paws ~ E000, E00, E11
Ears ~ R20, R21, E000
Beard / Tail ~ N0, N2, N3
Hat ~ RV0000, RV13, R20, C00, C2
Candy Cane ~ RV0000, RV13, R20, C00, C2, B0000, B01, B52

Pink is one of my favorite colors for Christmas cards and I think it pairs up really nice with blue and white! So bright and sweet!

Membership Monday Part 3 ~ November 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back for Part 3 of my Membership Monday posts this week... I sure hope that you've enjoyed the cards I've shared so far using the gorgeous November 2021 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co called Thankful & Blessed Pumpkins. Today I used one of my most favorite techniques...
Copic coloring on Kraft!

I love using kraft card stock during the Fall and Winter seasons... it's just so perfect! And I love how the Copic colors look on Kraft! I stamped the pretty pumpkins floral image with Gina K. Black Amalgam ink and then stamped just the center flower on a scrap of kraft card stock.

While I was coloring up this beautiful stamp for my card yesterday, I got to thinking how those same Copic colors would work on Kraft so I pretty much used all the same colors. Here's the list of Copic markers that I used to color up this beautiful stamp:

Pumpkins ~ YR15, YR21, YR27, YR68, E21, E23, E25, E29
Leaves ~ Y26, YG91, YG93, E23, E25
Center Flower ~ R00, R14, R20, R37, R59, Y15, Y21, Y38, YR27
Lighter Flowers ~ YR000, YR65
Berries ~ R20, R37, R59, E25
Magnolia Twigs ~ YG93, Y15, Y21

I used the coordinating die from the kit to die cut the colored image and set it aside. I colored up the center flower again on my scrap of kraft card stock, fussy cut it along the line and cleaned up the edges with my Memento Tuxedo black marker.

I added a bit of foam tape to the three petals and popped them up on the die cut. Such pretty dimension it gives to the card!

The background was created with the Mix & Mat Plaid dies from Papertrey Ink. I die cut a piece of kraft with all 3 pieces in the die set and then die cut a piece of dark brown card stock with just the outer twig die. I trimmed the dark brown outer twig die cut and adhered it to the kraft die cut piece. I adhered the inner portion of the twig die behind the plaid die cut. I also blended a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink over the kraft die cut and around the edges of my Kraft A2 top fold card base.

I stamped just a portion of the 'thankful & blessed' sentiment with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink on Kraft card stock and distressed the edges just a tiny bit with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. I trimmed the sentiment and then popped it up on the card with foam tape.

I hope that you've enjoyed the cards I've shared using the fabulous November 2021 Whit Kit from Unity! If you've been inspired to ink up your kit, I hope you'll share your creations in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group. I'd love to see what you've created! There's a few days left to join this amazing membership at Unity!

Tomorrow I'll be sharing my last card for the Non-Traditional Christmas Color Challenge... I hope you'll stop by to check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
See ya next time.

Membership Monday Part 2 ~ November 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with Membership Monday Part 2 and today I'm featuring the beautiful pumpkin floral stamp from the November 2021 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co called Thankful & Blessed Pumpkins. Have you signed up for this amazing kit yet?! Oh my gosh... I had so much fun coloring up this stamp!

It's been awhile since I've made a regular slimline card and since the sentiments in this kit are long, I thought this was the perfect time to make one! I started with a 8-1/4 x 3-1/4" piece of the Honey Gold Mirror card stock.

A fun trick for using 6 x 6" papers for a regular slimline sized card is to cover up where the two papers connect and the pumpkin floral stamp is just the right size for this trick!

I stamped the pumpkin floral image with Gina K. Black Amalgam ink, colored it up with Copics and then die cut it with the coordinated die included in the kit. Here's the list of Copic markers that I used to color up this beautiful stamp:

Pumpkins ~ YR15, YR21, YR27, YR68, E21, E23, E25, E29
Leaves ~ Y26, YG91, YG93, E23
Center Flower ~ R00, R14, R20, R37, R59, Y15, Y21, Y38, YR27
Lighter Flowers ~ YR000, YR65, R00
Berries ~ R20, R37, R59, E25
Magnolia Twigs ~ YG93, Y15, Y21

I stamped the sentiment, trimmed it down and then mat it with a dark brown card stock. I just love this font for sentiments!! So pretty!

Here's a look at the amazing November 2021 Whit Kit!! I have one more card to share with you using this gorgeous kit! I hope you'll drop by to check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Membership Monday Part 1 ~ November 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with another Membership Monday post but today is just Part 1! I had so much fun playing with the amazing November 2021 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co called Thankful & Blessed Pumpkins that I made a total of three cards!! I decided to share my cards over the next three days rather than overload the blog post today. I hope you'll stop by and check out my cards each day!

My first card really was inspired by the beautiful papers in the Thankful and Blessed Pumpkins {paper pack}... the colors are gorgeous and I literally could have made several cards using this basic design.

I used the Honey Gold Mirror card stock for my card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I trimmed the dark brown splattered paper to 4 x 3" and the floral paper to 4 x 2-1/4".

I adhered those to the Honey Gold Mirror card front and adhered a 1/8" piece of the Honey Gold Mirror card stock to cover where the two papers touched.

I stamped the 'happy thanksgiving' sentiment from the stamp kit with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and fussy cut around the sentiment. I adhered it to the card and decided I was done. I love the simplicity of the card... letting the pretty papers shine!

Here's a look at the amazing November 2021 Whit Kit!! My card for tomorrow features the gorgeous pumpkin stamp included in this kit! I hope you'll drop by to check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Wishing You a Cozy Day ~ Cozy Kind of Day ~ Polka Dot Orchard

 Hello there crafty friend!
I mentioned the other day that Polka Dot Orchard had just released a bunch of caffeinated goodness and I just couldn't help but play with this sweet new digi set by Jeanie Hays called Cozy Kind of Day! I am mad about plaid and the thermos in this cute digi stamp set are just so fun to play with!

Now since this is a digital stamp set, I blended my background with my inks before I printed them. I blended Candied Apple, Fired Brick and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks on one half of my white card stock.

I then combined and resized the digital stamps in a Word Document, organizing them so that the thermos background would print first onto my ink blended background.

The line of thermos and sentiment printed on the bottom half of my card stock. I cut my card stock in half and got to coloring up the thermos very simply with my Copic markers.

Here's the list of Copic markers I used:

Thermos 1 ~ N0, N1, N3, R14, R20, R27
Thermos 2 ~ R14, R20, R27, N0, N1, N3, N6
Thermos 3 ~ N0, N1, N3
Thermos 4 ~ N0, N1, N3, N6
Grounding ~ N0, N1, N2

I die cut the background and the copic colored thermos with dies from the Big & Little Chain Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs. I mat my layers on Real Red and True Black card stock and then adhered them all onto a white A2 top fold card base.

Here's a look at the cute Cozy Kind of Day digi stamp set!! Love it! Stop by Polka Dot Orchard to see all the new fun digi stamps that were released! All so fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Joy Poinsettia Card ~ Paper Poinsettias ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Have you checked out the amazing new releases and sale going on at Unity Stamp Co?! Seriously, this is THE biggest sale of the year going on right now... you have to check it out!! I just had to play with the gorgeous new Paper Poinsettias stamp kit!! I adore poinsettias... they are my absolute favorite flower for the holidays and coloring them is even more fun!

I wanted to do a CAS card but I also wanted to add some texture and dimension with some dies. So I die cut a piece of white card stock with the Falling Snow Background die and another piece of white card stock with the Pleated Lace Rectangles die both from Gina Marie Designs. I adhered the die cut layers and then adhered them to the white A2 top fold card base.

Then it was time to color! I thought I'd add a bit of texture this time with dots. This was a lot of fun to color up! Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Petals ~ R0000, R14, R20, R37, R59
Center ~Y06, Y15, Y28, Y35

I fussy cut the poinsettia and adhered it to the card. I stamped the joy sentiment from the October 2020 Sentiment kit called Heart of Christmas and die cut it with the newly release coordinating die called Heart of Christmas. I adhered it to the card and I'm so happy with how this one turned out! I hope you'll go check out the amazing sale over at Unity... there's still a few days to shop!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 16 ~ Peppermint Kisses with Latte ~ Not 2 Shabby

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am back with one last card for the Fall | Winter 2021 Coffee Lovers Hop and, of course, I used Sketch 16 from the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! This was such a super quick card using fabulous papers and ephemera from hop Sponsor Not 2 Shabby!!

All kinds of yummy peppermint goodness in this card! I just can't get enough of these pretty papers and the mix of ephemera is amazing!

I mat the pretty papers with my hoarded Cool Caribbean card stock {retired Stampin' Up! from way back}... THE perfect blue card stock for these papers. I just love the mix of colors in these papers!

I die cut my top layer of Cool Caribbean card stock with the Pleated Lace Rectangles dies from Gina Marie Designs and adhered the ephemera to it.

The sentiment is from the Peppermint Mocha Season stamp set from Not 2 Shabby... perfect for this sweet card!! Pun intended! ;)

I pretty much kept to the sketch for this one... except for the slightly larger die cut rectangle and I did move the sentiment up.

Here's another look at the fun Sketch for the month of November! I'd love to invite you to play along with the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 16... head on over and join us in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group!

You have until midnight tonight to play along with the Coffee Lovers Hop! Even if you can't play along, be sure to stop by and check out all the amazing inspiration being shared!
