Santa's Workshop Memory Dex Card ~ Little Elves ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!

I'm back with my third guest designing post for The Greeting Farm! This month has flown by! Today, I'm super excited to share a really cute Memory Dex card that I created!! Do you ever have a fun and wild idea and then you make it?! Well, I had a fun idea for a Memory Dex card that opens like an actual card and I'm excited to share it with you all today.

I used the adorable Little Elves stamp set {sadly, I don't see this one in the shop} along with the tree stamp from the Fa La La stamp set. I die cut the Memory Dex card with a retired die in my stash. My snow for the card is a combination of scallops that I punch from white card stock and a stitched cloud die.

See all that fun glittery goodness?! It's so pretty in person. I used a ruler and a couple of Copic markers to create a "log cabin" design for the building. The cute little chimney is a piece of pattern paper. I stamped the Santa's Workshop sign with clear embossing ink and melted some white embossing powder. I then trimmed the signs and adhered them to the front of the building. Here's a list of the Copic markers I used for the front of this card:

Skin / Mouth ~ E00, E11, R14
Hair ~ Y06, YR31
Clothes ~ YG11, G14, C00, C2, N2, N5
Building ~ E27, E33
Windows ~ Y02, Y35
Tree ~ YG11, G24, G46, E21, E27

And then you open the card and get a sneak peek of Santa's Workshop! This was so much fun to create!
I combined images from the Little Elves stamp set and the Christmas Day digi set.

Santa's elves are making the toys and wrapping them in pretty packages.
Here's a list of the Copic markers I used for these images:

Skin ~ E00, E11
Hair ~ Y02, E43
Clothes ~ YG11, G14, G46, C00, C2, N2, N5
Teddy Bear ~ E21, E27
Santa's Workshop ~ R000, R14, R46, E21, E27, E33
Christmas Tree ~ YG11, YG23, G14, E21, E27, R000, R14, R46, Y06, Y35, B000, B00
Presents ~ R000, R14, B00, B00, RV10, RV21
Wreath ~ YG11, G24, G46, R000, R14, R46, Y06, Y35, RV0000, RV10, RV21, E21, E27
Dino ~ YG11, G14
Doll ~ E00, Y06, RV10, RV21, E33
Train ~ B000, B00, B02

The elves are helping Santa check his list by the cozy fire.
Here's a list of the Copic markers I used for these images:

Skin ~ E00, E11
Hair ~ YR31, YR68, E21, E25
Clothes ~ R000, R14, R46, C00, C2, N2, N5
Santa's List ~ C00, C2
Presents ~ YG11, G14, Y06, Y35, B000, B00
Fireplace ~ N0, N1, N2, N3, N4, E21, E25, E27
Stockings ~C00, C2, R000, R14, R46

I'll admit this card is very thick! It's kind of stuck on my Memory Dex holder, but I really love how it turned out! I think it would make a great card for a fellow Memory Dex cardmaker!

A close up of the glittery goodness!
I hope that I've inspired you to give those fun and wild ideas a try... you just may make something you really love!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 14 ~ Love Peppermint ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!

I'm back with my weekly Christmas card and this time I used a super adorable stamp from The Greeting Farm called Love Peppermint!! I got this adorable stamp during the Farmer's Market one day sale back in April, I think. I've been anxious to ink her up and use her for one of the {BYSHC} sketches and she worked perfectly for this month's sketch!

I went with a whole peppermint theme for my card and used the beautiful Candy Stripe paper collection from Brutus Monroe. I used the reds and greens from the papers as my color palette for my coloring. I am so happy with how this one turned out!

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E04, E11, R00, R20
Hair ~ E43, E44, E47, E49
Peppermint Hat ~ C00, C2, C3, R000, R14, R46, R59
Blouse ~ C00, C2, C3
Dress ~ R000, R14, R46, R59, YG11, G14
Shoes ~ R14, R46, R59

The Love Peppermint stamp doesn't come with a sentiment and I couldn't find one in my stash that would work so I just typed one up on my computer and printed it off. Keeping with the peppermint theme, of course! I thought peppermint wishes was fun!

Here's a close up of the sweet Love Peppermint girl! Love this adorable stamp!

Here's a look at the fun {BYSHC} Sketch 14 for the month of September!
There's just a few more days to play along with the sketch! If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration, check out the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! I'll be back next Friday with another Christmas card using the new {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 15!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 14 ~ Sugar Cookie Christmas ~ Prima Marketing Inc.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing a super quick card that I created for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 14 using some pretty papers and ephemera. I love when the papers make a card come together so quickly! Just like my cards from last week, the sentiment and focal piece is a cut apart from the Sugar Cookie Christmas paper pad by Prima Marketing Inc.

I trimmed the cut apart and mat it on white card stock. I trimmed the other layers of pattern paper from the same Sugar Cookie Christmas paper pad and also mat them on white card stock.

I adhered all the layers to a white A2 top fold card base adding scraps of card stock underneath the top layers so that each of the layers would lay flat.

I popped up the little ephemera cup with foam squares and added some fun sparkle with Sprinkled Sugar Stickles. Another Christmas card for my stash!

Here's a look at the fun {BYSHC} Sketch 14 for the month of September!
I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch! If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration, check out the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! I'll be back next Friday with one last Christmas card using Sketch 14!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 14 ~ Christmas Town ~ Doodlebug Design

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I am sharing four cute Christmas cards I made using the adorable Christmas Town papers from Doodlebug Design along with the {BYSHC} Sketch 14 from the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! I love when the paper pads have those cute cut aparts... it really makes for quick cards! I used four of the cut aparts for the cards I'm sharing today.

My first card is a fun mix of papers that are a bit busy so I used a nice white mat on each layer to break that up a bit. I just love this cut apart though... I still believe in Santa!! So cute! The cute Santa paper is adhered to a Real Red card front and then the whole panel is adhered to a white A2 top fold card base.

I adore this holly paper and it works perfectly with the cut apart I chose for this card! The Cucumber Crush green mats on all of these layers really bring the green images to your eye. I chose a few red enamel dots to compliment the red berries on the cut apart.

I love the cute houses in these papers and just had to use the paper with the house cut apart! I chose Baked Brown Sugar card stock for my mats for this one... in person it really compliments the browns in the papers. And I finished this one off with a few red enamel dots.

And my last card, which is probably my favorite... features the adorable snowman cut apart and the fun snowman papers. I chose white mats for all these layers to make all the snowmen pop! I wanted to use pink enamel dots for this one, but I didn't have any that were quite the right shade. I think the green enamel dots work well though with the green dots in the snowman's scarf.

Here's a look at the fun {BYSHC} Sketch 14 for the month of September!
I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch! If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration, check out the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! I'll be back next Friday with another cute Christmas card!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

CAS Stenciled Background ~ Brew It Anya Card ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!

I am super excited and honored to be guest designing for The Greeting Farm for the month of September!! I have a few fun projects to share with you all this month... starting with an adorable CAS card I created using the beautiful Brew It Anya stamp! She just may be my first ever stamp set from The Greeting Farm. I love this stamp so much... it's definitely a fave!

I decided to go with a brighter color palette and I asked my daughter to help pick the colors. I had light blue and yellow copics picked out and my daughter picked out the cute green for the scarf and boots. So cute! I ink blended Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks over a knit stencil on a piece of white card stock measuring 4 x 5-1/4". I stamped the sentiment directly over the stenciled background with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I then adhered the panel to a blue A2 side fold card base.

I stamped the sweet Brew It Anya with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored her up with the following Copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, R00, R20
Hair ~ YR31, E43, E44
Scarf ~ YG0000, YG23, B02
Dress ~ B0000, B00, B02
Boots ~ YG0000, YG09, YG23
Bag ~ Y06, Y15
Hair Clip ~ YG0000, YG23
Cup ~ C00, C2, E21, E25, YG09

I fussy cut Anya and cleaned up the edges of the image with a Memento Tuxedo black marker. I popped Anya up on the card with foam squares and then added a bit of glossy accents to her bear barrette. I added flowers to her scarf with the B02 copic marker and a white gel pen. I also added a flower to the cup with the white gel pen and a YG09 copic marker for the little leaf.

I hope I've inspired you to get inky!
See you next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal

~ Friends of Unity September 2021 Blog Hop ~

 Hello there crafty friend!

It's time for our September 2021 Friends of Unity blog hop!!
This month we have a fun Color Challenge and we're inviting all of you to join in the fun!! We'll have an album in the Unity Show & Tell group on Facebook where you can enter a card or other paper craft  project using our color palette below. So fun!

I love the color palette we decided on... Sage, White & Kraft! I have two cards to share today...

I decided on a CAS card for my first card using my very neglected Prismacolor pencils on kraft card stock. I stamped the beautiful flower from the August 2020 Uniquely Unity kit called It's Your Choice with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink. I mat the panel with a piece of white card stock to help the white of the flower pop.

The sentiment is stamped with Wow Clear Embossing powder and then I melted some Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I trimmed the sentiment and popped it up on the card with foam tape. Easy peasy!

My second card was also pretty easy... I stamped the beautiful star flourish from the Emerge {LOL 2/16} kit with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks onto Kraft card stock. And then I added some white acrylic paint splatter to the panel. I die cut the panel with a large stitched rectangle die and then die cut it again with a smaller stitched rectangle die. I adhered the larger piece directly to a white A2 top fold card base and then mat the second die cut with white card stock adhering it on the card.

I stamped the beautiful flower on white card stock with the Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink and then colored it up with a few Prismacolor pencils. I added a couple foam squares just to the center of the flower and rounded the petals to give them a bit of dimension on the card. It's hard to see in the photos. I stamped the sentiment with Wow Clear embossing ink and melted Alabaster White embossing powder. I trimmed it and mat it with white card stock and adhered it to the card.

We'd love to invite you to join in the fun!! Create a pretty card or other paper project using the Sage, White & Kraft color palette and enter it in the album in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group. We're offering up a few fun prizes that will be randomly chosen for those that enter the challenge! Since I'm in the middle of moving, I'm offering a $25 gift card to Unity for one lucky winner. I sure hope you'll join in the fun! We can't wait to see what you create!

Please hop along and enjoy some more inspiration from the Friends of Unity. I'm sure that some of my friends are having a giveaway so be sure to comment as you hop along.

Let's get to the hopping...

Thanks so much for supporting our little hop!

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 14 ~ Full of Merry ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

It's the first of September and that means there's a new sketch challenge over at the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Today I'm sharing my first card using the fun {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #14... this one is fabulous for using up those Christmas papers for all the fun layers!

I used the fun and festive Full of Merry stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. I just love the Elf movie and this sentiment was a must for this card! I also love pink and blue for Christmas cards... so bright and cheerful! I thought it would be fun to ink up the sentiment with those colors too.

I masked the top and bottom portion of the sentiment and then inked up the stamp with Lovely Lady ink from Papertrey Ink. I stamped it a couple of times to get a nice crisp image... removing the mask each time so as not to mess up the card stock. And then I masked the top half and just inked up the bottom portion with Hawaiian Shores ink from Papertrey Ink. I stamped that a couple of times. I then masked the bottom portion, inked up the top portion of the stamp and stamped that a couple of time.

I just love the Christmas Town papers from Doodlebug Design... those cute little kids look like they are singing away. Love it! Since I used three kinda busy papers I decided to mat them all to break up the patterns. I love how it turned out!

Here's a look at the fun {BYSHC} Sketch 14 for the month of September!
I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch! If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration, check out the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! Since this new challenge is starting on a Wednesday, I won't be back on Friday with another card. I'll be back on September 10th with not one but FOUR cute cards using this month's sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal
