Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Grinch ~ Gina Marie Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my last card for the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! It's also my last card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 32. My card for today features a mix of products from a few of our wonderful Linky Party Sponsors.

I just LOVE the Grinch Stamp Set from Gina Marie Designs! I thought he'd be super fun as an ornament focal piece for this month's sketch. I used the Christmas Ornament & Bulb Tag Die Set from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps to die cut the ornament layers. I also die cut another circle using the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. to adhere over the ornament base. I colored the circle die cut with a few green copic markers... I used YG11, YG03, and G24.

I used the Holiday Collection paper pack from Avery Elle. I love all the different greens in the layers. My card front is Lemon Lime Twist card stock from Stampin' Up and my red mat is Real Red card stock also from SU.

Here's a look at this month's sketch 32. I turned the sketch for my card... I think the ornament fit better on a vertical card front. There's still a bit of time to play along with the sketch!! Entries must be submitted prior to April 30th at 11:59pm PST.

The ornament is adhered to the polka dot paper and then I popped up both pieces using a bunch of foam tape. I stamped the sentiment using Wow Clear Embossing ink on Lemon Lime Twist card stock and added some Real Red Glitter embossing powder from SU that I melted with a heat tool. I finished off the card with a little bow using Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon from SU that I adhered to the top of the ornament using a glue dot.

I have had SO much fun playing along with the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! I hope that you've been inspired to make a few Christmas cards to relieve some of the holiday stress. I know that I am feeling great about the 9 cards I made. Thank you ALL so much for stopping by my blog and commenting on my cards. I've truly enjoyed each of the comments. And I hope that you'll stop by the Linky Party and check out the cards that have been linked up. So many wonderful cards!! And if you have a bit of time today you could still enter into the Linky Party... it ends at 11:59pm PST tonight.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Snowflake Cover Plate ~ Gina K Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
I can't believe that it's Day 7 of the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! It's gone by so fast! I'm sharing card number 7 today and I'm featuring a few of our Sponsors again.

I used the beautiful Snowflake Cover Plate die from return Sponsor Gina K Designs. I die cut a piece of white card stock using the die and poked out all the little pieces. I did end up using a shim with the die. I had a couple stubborn pieces that didn't want to cut but I added a thin card stock layer to my "sandwich" and ran it through my Big Shot again and they all popped out easy peasy. I blended Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac over the die cut piece using TE Blender Brushes from Sponsor Taylored Expressions.

I splattered a bit of water on the die cut background for the oxides to react. I dabbed it with a paper towel to pick up the rest of the water. Once the background was dry, I adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11"; scored at 5-1/2".

I stamped the sentiment from the Bethlehem's Light stamp set from Sponsor Colorado Craft Company using Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Sponsor Taylored Expressions. Love the mix of fonts on this sentiment and I thought it would look fab with the snowflake background. I added some white embossing powder and melted it with my heat tool. I trimmed it up and then adhered it to the card. I finished off the card by adding three black enamel dots from the 9 Color Rainbow Mirror Foil Enamel Dots from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs.

Be sure to stop by Gina K Designs and Colorado Craft Company to check out their fabulous products! I did see a few holiday products on clearance over at Gina K Designs. And Colorado Craft Company has an awesome BOGO sale happening on their digital stamps... use code BOGODIGIS. I may have snagged a couple awesome holiday digital stamps myself! Have you stopped by the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party yet?! I sure hope you will... so many wonderful cards being shared!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal

Membership Wednesday ~ April 2023 WK ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hey there crafty friend!
Sharing a few super quick cards for Membership Wednesday using a couple products from the fabulous April 2023 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co. Sometimes you just need a thank you card and I had a fun idea for a quick card. I really love how these turned out and they took me maybe 30 minutes {including designing time} - so not bad, at all!

I chose a few of the pretty alcohol papers from the Rainbow Alcohol Ink Paper Pack that included in the kit. I trimmed them to 3-3/4 x 4-1/4" and adhered them to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" card front of black card stock.

And then I adhered each card front to a white A2 top fold card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11"; scored at 5-1/2". I prefer a white card base but you could easily do a black card base and add a white insert inside the card for writing on.

I set the card bases aside and die cut three Thanks dies from black card stock using the solid Thanks die. I then die cut the other Thanks die from the three different alcohol ink pattern papers.

I adhered the Thanks die cuts all together and then adhered them to the card bases being sure that the black mats touched the black bottom card stock. This gives it the appearance of the Thanks sentiment popping up from the black card stock. Love how these turned out!

Here's a look at the wonderful Whit Kit for April!! Love it! This wonderful card kit is available for only $42.99. That includes shipping! You also get a $6.95 discount on every order from Unity over $45. Members are also able to purchase past Whit Kit stamp sets for just $14 and past Whit Kit paper packs for $2 off!! So awesome!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Peaceful Poinsettia ~ Taylored Expressions

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back for Day 6 of the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! My card today features another mix of products from a few of our linky party Sponsors. Can't help myself!

I used the gorgeous Peaceful Poinsettia Embossing Folder from return Sponsor Taylored Expressions. Unfortunately, I think this EF may be retired. I didn't see it on the website. I love all the pretty detail in this folder though!! Gorgeous! I considered leaving the whole thing white but thought a little bit of pinky red on the main poinsettia would be fun. Not sure if I like it, but it is what it is! I very lightly added a bit of Festive Berries Distress Oxide to the poinsettia using a TE Blender Brush from Taylored Expressions.

After running a white piece of card stock through my Big Shot with the Peaceful Poinsettia EF, I die cut it with a circle die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from return Sponsor Unity. I also die cut the entire panel with the largest die from the Postage Stamp {nesting dies}. I adhered the postage stamp panel to a white A2 top fold card base.

I stamped the sentiment from the Let's Be Jolly {grab bag} stamp kit from Unity with the Festive Berries Distress Oxide ink. I trimmed it up and then adhered it to the circle die cut. I popped up the circle die cut and sentiment using 3D Foam Squares from Sponsor Therm O Web. I trimmed a 3/4" strip of white card stock and adhered it on either side of the circle poinsettia. Love the dimension in this card!! I finished off the card by adding three yellow rhinestones to the center of the poinsettia. The rhinestones are from the Rainbow Bling rhinestones from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs.

Be sure to stop by Taylored Expressions and Unity Stamp Co. to check out their fabulous products! And remember to use the BYHSpromo code for 50% OFF the Christmas & Winter category at Unity! Have you stopped by the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party yet?! Check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared friends... you won't regret it!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Holiday Home ~ Newton's Nook Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my fifth card for the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! My card today features a mix of products from a few of our linky party Sponsors. I just can't help but combine products from our Sponsors... I just love them so much! The stamps I used to create this scene card are from the Holiday Home Stamp Set from return Sponsor Newton's Nook Designs

I paired the stamps up with the Meowy Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad from Newton's Nook Design - that's the red with white polka dots. And I also used the black and white papers from the Hot Cocoa Warm Hearts 6x6 paper pad from Sponsor Not 2 Shabby.

I die cut a piece of black card stock with the smallest scalloped die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. I trimmed my white panel to fit inside the stitches and stamped the house near the top of the panel using my mini Misti and the fabulous Pressure Pal from return Sponsor Twiddler's Nook. I always use my Pressure Pal when I stamp with clear stamps. It gives me the perfect stamped image every time. I also stamped the kids on a scrap of white card stock and used my Pressure Pal again. And then I die cut it using the coordinating Holiday Home Die Set from Newton's Nook Designs.

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used:

House ~ R20, R14, R27, N0, N2, N4, N6, C00, C1
Snow ~ C00, C1, C3
Tree / Sled ~ YG11, G24, G46, E51, E55, E57
Kid 1 ~ C00, C3, B0000, B00, B02, B91, B95, RV10, RV13
Kid 2 ~ R20, R14, C00, C1, C3, B91, B95, B97, N0, N2, N4, N6

Some of you may have recognized my card design from one of our past sketches... Sketch 10. This one is favorite!! If you'd like to see more inspiration using this sketch you can check it out here in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group.

I popped up the kids and their sled using 3D Foam Squares from Sponsor Therm O Web. Love the dimension that it gives the card. I finished off the card by adding a couple black rhinestones to the centers of the snowflakes. The rhinestones are from the Rainbow Bling rhinestones from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs.

Be sure to stop by Newton's Nook Designs and stop by the Retiring Sale... there's some really cute Christmas goodies available for up to 60% OFF. Woohoo!! And if you haven't already, stop by the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! I am blown away by all the amazing cards!

Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Freaking Cold ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back for day 4 of the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party. I'm so excited to share my card today because I got to play with a super cool stencil from our Brand New Sponsor A Colorful Life Designs AND I paired it up with one of my new Winter faves from return Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. called Freaking Cold!!

I actually started this card with the beautiful Angie Girl illustrated by the super talented Angie Blom {another one of our sweet sponsors!}. I stamped her with Black Amalgam ink from Sponsor Gina K. Designs. I love this ink and use it all the time with my Unity stamps. It's wonderful with Copics and with watercolors so I don't have to worry about grabbing the wrong ink. Which reminds me I should watercolor... I'm trying to watercolor at least once a month.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up this beauty:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, E04, R000, RV10
Hair ~ E21, E23, E27, E29
Nails ~ R20, R14
Hat ~ YG11, G24, G46, C00, C3
Sweater ~ R000, RV10, R20, R14, YG11, G24, G46
Mug ~ BG000, BG32, BG18, E21, E23
Jewelry ~ C00, C3, BG32, BG72

Now for my wonderful background. I ink blended Evergreen Bough and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks using the awesome TE Blender Brushes from Sponsor Taylored Expressions over the awesome Snowflake Net stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. You have GOTTA stop by their website and check out ALL the amazing stencils. It was so hard for me to narrow down my picks but I definitely filled up my wishlist for another order!! Anywho, back to my card... I splattered the background with water, white acrylic paint and some Liquid Pixie Dust from Inkon3. I think the glitter is the most noticeable but I love all the textures from the splatters.

I trimmed down the background panel to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8". I didn't want to cut off too much but I did want a white border around the edges. I die cut a couple stitched hills using the Stitched Hillside Borders dies from Sponsor Lawn Fawn. I adhered the layers sandwiching the bottom of the girl between the layers and then adhered them to my stenciled background. I trimmed off the excess hills from all three sides of the background and adhered the background to a white A2 top fold card base. To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment using the two distress oxide inks.

I can't believe that we're halfway through the linky party already! Stop by Unity and check out all their wonderful Christmas and Winter stamps... they are 50% OFF right now with code BYHSpromo. I hope that you'll also stop by the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Paws Challenge #196 ~ Birthday Theme Challenge Reminder

  Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #196 - a fun Birthday Theme challenge! You have until this coming Friday, April 28th to get your entries in for the Birthday Theme challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Changing things up today with a coffee birthday card!

I don't know about  you but I just about live off of coffee... LOL! I love my coffee and I have several friends who enjoy coffee too. So, I was thinking it was time to ink up the adorable Newton Loves Coffee Stamp Set and add a coffee themed birthday card to my stash. Now I don't have the coordinating Newton Loves Coffee Die Set in my stash so I had to fussy cut the kitty. But the dies are on my wishlist!! Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the sweet kitty:

Kitty ~ W00, W1, W3, W5, RV10, RV13
Cup ~ C00, C1, Y11, Y06, Y18, BG000, BG11, BG32, BG72, YG11, YG03
Ground ~ YG11, YG03

To create my background I ink blended Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide inks over the awesome Mugs Stencil. Love this combo together! I trimmed the panel to 4 x 5-1/4" and used the second largest circle die from the Circle Frames Die Set to make my peek a boo opening for the kitty.

I die cut a white banner using the smallest banner die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. I stamped the sentiment on the banner. And then I die cut a piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock using the stitched banner die from the same set. I adhered the layers together and trimmed the left edge leaving room to add the little coffee beans that I stamped with the oxides, fussy cut and adhered by the sentiment.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project with a Birthday theme. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Christmas Mice ~ Rachelle Anne Miller Stamps

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's day 3 of the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party!! I'm excited to bring you another sweet card that I've made to add to my Christmas stash! This time I played with the super cute Christmas Mice Digital Stamp from our Brand New Sponsor Rachelle Anne Miller Stamps!! I just adore Rachelle Anne Miller's cute digital stamps!! And she has wonderful bundles on her website too... including a few Christmas bundles! Eeep! You've got to check it out.

Aren't the Christmas Mice just so adorable?! They were so fun to color too. I actually paired them up with a sentiment from our return Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Designs. The sentiment that came with the sweet mice wasn't quite what I wanted for my mini slimline card so I cropped the image in a Word document and inserted a cute sentiment from the Let's Be Merry Digital Stamp set.

I die cut the sentiment using the largest die from the Wonky Mini Slimline dies from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs being sure that the sentiment was close to the left side of the die and there was enough room for the cute mice that I cut out with the second largest circle die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up this cute digi stamp:

Mice ~ N0, N2, N4, R00, R20
Jacket ~ BG11, BG32, BG72, R20, R14, R27
Skirt / Bow ~ R20, R14, R27
Tree ~ G000, YG11, G24, G46
Star Topper ~ Y11, Y06, Y15, Y35
Candle ~ Y11, Y06, Y15, Y35
Stand ~ BG000, BG72, C00, C1, C3
Ground ~ C00, C1, C3

I paired up this cute image with the beautiful Knit Picky Winter 6x6 petite paper pack from Return Sponsor Lawn Fawn! I love that I could use products from five of our wonderful Sponsors on one card! Makes my heart happy! To finish off the card I used three enamel dots from the Peacock Clear with Color enamel dots from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. They aren't Christmassy but they were the perfect green enamel dots with the tree and the papers in the background.

Before you leave, be sure to stop by Rachelle Anne Miller Stamps... as I mentioned above she has the sweetest stamps and she has amazing bundles so you can purchase more than one set for a great price! Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Elves ~ Angie Blom Digital Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with another card for the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! It was so much fun checking out the inspiration shared yesterday for the start of the Linky Party. So many beautiful cards! Today I'm sharing a card using a sweet digi stamp from return Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Designs called Elves

This adorable digi is so fun to color! I went with a traditional color combo of green and red with a bit of yellow. And I was able to pair it up with a pretty plaid pattern paper from the Meowy Christmas 6x6 paper pad from return Sponsor Newton's Nook Designs.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up this cute digi stamp:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, E04, R000, R20
Hair ~ E43, E47, E97, E39
Reds ~ R000, R20, R14, R27
Greens ~ YG11, G24, G46
Yellows ~ Y11, Y06, Y15, Y35
Whites ~ C00, C1, C3

I fussy cut the colored Elves leaving a skinny white border around the edges. I die cut a panel of white card stock with the second largest rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. I adhered all my layers together using iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from our wonderful Sponsor Therm O Web. And I finished off my card using some glitter green enamel dots from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs.

My card design was inspired by {BYSHC} Sketch 23. I turned my top banner for the sentiment. And I had to omit the bottom banners, but this was the sketch that inspired my card.

Before you leave, be sure to stop by Angie Blom Digital Designs... Angie has a wonderful 50% OFF Sale going on right now!! Woohoo!! And if you haven't already, stop by the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!!

Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Gingerbread Hugs ~ Not 2 Shabby

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm so excited to share my first card for the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party hosted by the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group!! This is our third annual Spring Linky Party. Though it has Spring in the name the linky party is focused on Christmas and wintry holiday cards. It's a great way to get ahead on those holiday cards to relieve some of the stress later on in the year during the holidays. I am super excited to get a jump on my Christmas card stash and I sure hope that you'll join in the fun.

For my first card I'm featuring the super adorable Gingerbread Hugs stamp set from our wonderful return Sponsor Not 2 Shabby. I just adore this sweet mug filled with Christmas goodies and baubles. I paired this sweet stamp up with the wonderful Plaids for Christmas 6x6 paper pad also from Not 2 Shabby. There's just something about plaid with Christmas! I love it! I adhered all my layers to a white A2 top fold card base using the iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from our wonderful Sponsor Therm O Web.

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used:

Gingerbreads ~ E21, E23, E25, E27, R20, R14, R27
Candies / Mug ~ R20, R14, R27, C00, C1, C3, YG11, G24, G46
Stars ~ Y11, Y15
Red Bauble ~ R20, R14, R27

I die cut the colored image with the coordinating dies from the Gingerbread Hugs Shabby Snips dies from Not 2 Shabby. I stamped the sentiment with Sugar Cube Pigment ink from returning Sponsor Taylored Expressions and then heat embossed some white embossing powder giving the sentiment a raised and shiny look on the dark brown card stock. I popped up both the sentiment and the gingerbread focal piece with lots of thin foam tape.

Though I didn't record my whole process in making this card, I did record and share a video on my YouTube channel of how I cut the pattern paper and adhered it to the mats. You can check it out here... Cutting & Assembling Papers for {BYSHC} Sketch 29.

As mentioned in the video, my card was inspired by one of our past sketches... Sketch 29! This sketch has definitely become a favorite! Have you visited the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group? We host a fun sketch challenge each month to inspire our holiday cardmaking all year long. I love revisiting the sketches and will likely be sharing a few during the Linky Party.

Yay!! I'm also a Sponsor for the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party!! I have a wonderful prize set aside for one lucky winner. I usually share a picture of the prize but this time I thought I'd make it a surprise... and I'm waiting on one or two more goodies that I plan on adding to the prize so I didn't want to share just some of the goodies. LOL! For a chance to win my fun prize make a Christmas card and link it up to the linky party blog post on the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers blog.

Before you leave, be sure to stop by Sponsor Not 2 Shabby... they are having a new quarterly release tomorrow, but you can always stop by and check out all the amazing products on the site now. And if you haven't already, stop by the Spring into Christmas 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration from our Sponsors and the {BYSHC} Design Team!! I'm so excited to continue building my stash of holiday cards for 2023... I hope you'll join in the fun and play along! Let's build our stash of holiday cards this week!!

See ya next time.
