{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 15 ~ Sweet Seasonal Apples with Meowy Christmas Papers

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am back with another card for the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop using this month's sketch for {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 15. I don't know about you but I am still loving mini slimline cards and they are especially great with 6 x 6" papers like the ones I used for my card today from hop Sponsor Newton's Nook Designs!!

I think they paired up so well with the adorable snowman candy apple from the Sweet Seasonal Apples stamp set from hop Sponsor Brutus Monroe and Simon Says Stamp... an exclusive STAMPtember stamp set that sadly isn't available anymore.

The Brutus Monroe stamp set for STAMPtember is always one that I plan to order even before seeing it and this year's stamp set did not disappoint!! I couldn't resist the sweet mix of candy apples in this delicious stamp set!

Doesn't he just look too cute with that pretty plaid paper from the Meowy Christmas paper pad from hop Sponsor Newton's Nook Designs. I used similar Copic colors to color up this yummy apple.

Candy Apple ~ C00, C2, C3, C5
Nose ~ YR15, YR21, YR68
Hat ~ N1, N2, N3, N4, N6, R000, R14, R27
Stick ~ E43, E44, E47
Leaf ~ YG11, YG23, G17
Bow ~ R000, R14, R27

Get Your Spooky On ~ All Things Halloween Challenge ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Crystal here from Tawny Owl Paperie with one last Halloween card for the All Things Halloween Challenge in the Unity Show & Tell group! Today I thought it would be fun to share a Fun Fold card using a few Halloween stamp kits and cute Halloween papers.

For the front of the card I used papers from the Trick or Treat {paper pack}... I distressed the edges a bit with some Black Soot Distress Oxide ink. My card base measures 8-7/8 x 5-1/2" and I scored it at 2-1/2 and 6-3/4" on the longer side. It's slightly larger than an A2 card base so that the left front flap overlaps the right front flap.

I have had the Spooky Girl stamp on my desk all month just waiting to get inky and it was finally her time! I stamped her with Gina K. Black Amalgam ink and then colored her up with the following Copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ YG11, YG23
Hat ~ N0, N2, N4, N6,BV00, BV11, YR15, YR21, YR68
Clothes ~ N0, N1, N2, N3, N4, N6, BV00, BV11

I fussy cut Spooky Girl and cleaned up the edges with a Memento Tuxedo black marker. And then popped her up with some foam tape to add dimension!

Don't forget to add a touch of fun to the inside of your cards!! I adhered a strip of pattern paper and did a little third generation stamping for a couple of the spooky images for the inside using the adorable Little Boos stamp kit. A fun way to tie in the whole theme of the card and leave space to write to your recipient. I stamped the sentiment from the Creepy Spooky & Scary Itty Bitty stamp to finish off my card.

Third Generation Stamping is when you ink up your stamp, stamp the image twice on a scrap of paper, and then stamp it one last time for a lighter shade.

There's just a few days left to join in the fun over at the Unity Show & Tell group! I know Halloween is just a couple of days away but that doesn't mean we can't start working on our cards for next year!

Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop ~ Winter Wonderland ~ Angie Blom Digital Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!

I can't believe the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop is almost over!! Time has flown by so fast! Today I'm sharing a Christmas card using the beautiful digi stamp set from hop Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Designs called Winter Wonderland!! I absolutely LOVE this digi stamp set!

I love old truck stamps and collect as many as I can so this beautiful set was a no-brainer... I had to add it to my collection! And since it's a digi stamp I can resize it and combine with other images for all kinds of card designs!

For this card, in particular, I actually printed off the trees as a card front and the truck as a separate card front because I wanted to pop up the truck layer in front of the tree layer.

I think you can see some of the dimension of the two layers in this photo. I really had a lot of fun coloring this one too. I love the pop of red with the truck and I complimented that with a Real Red card front on my white A2 top fold card base.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Sky ~ BG000, BG01, BG10
Trees ~ G000, G24, G46, E23, E27
Truck ~ R000, R14, R27, N0, N1, N2, N4, N6, B000, B00
Snow ~ C00, C2

Before you leave, be sure to stop by Angie Blom Digital Designs... her Christmas sale is over, but there's a fabulous sale going on for her beautiful Angie Girl & Guy Collection!! And if you haven't already, stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! I've been so inspired by all the pretty cards!

Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop ~ Poinsettia Greetings ~ Polka Dot Orchard

 Hello there crafty friend!

I'm back with another beautiful Christmas card for the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!! Today I have a sweet card using a fun digi stamp from hop Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard called Poinsettia Greetings. Poinsettias are my absolute favorite flower around the Holidays so whenever I get a chance to play with Poinsettia stamps I am a happy stamper!

This particular digi stamp is extra special to me since I illustrated it for Polka Dot Orchard. I was able to use the one digi stamp to create a beautiful border of poinsettias for my card. I also print an extra poinsettia to fussy cut and add a bit of dimension to the card.

I ink smooshed some Kitsch Flamingo and Festive Berries Distress Oxide inks leaving some bits of white. I die cut the Merry Christmas sentiment with the Labels 5 Nested dies from hop Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. And then I mat it with a piece of black card stock that I also die cut with a slightly larger die from the same die set.

Before you leave, be sure to stop Polka Dot Orchard... there's a fabulous sale going on!! Including the Poinsettia Greetings digi stamp set!! And if you haven't already, stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! I've been so inspired by all the pretty cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop ~ Have a Cup of Cheer ~ Not 2 Shabby

 Hello there crafty friend!

I can't believe that we are more than halfway through the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BSYHC} Hop already!! Today I'm sharing a fun card using the sweet freebie digi from hop Sponsor Not 2 Shabby!! I couldn't wait to print this beautiful digi stamp and do some coloring! I also thought it would be fun to do a bit of paper piecing!

First of all, if you haven't already... be sure to check out the Not 2 Shabby freebie digi stamp!! You can find it here ---> Have a Cup of Cheer digi!! It's amazing! So fun to color and it looks so yummy! I printed it off on white card stock and colored it up! And then I printed it again on copy paper so I'd have an idea of where to tape my pattern paper. I used some washi tape to secure a piece of Pine St. Square paper from The Paper Studio over the coffee cup sleeve. I used a slightly larger piece of pattern paper in case the printer shifted when it print... and of course it did!

I fussy cut the coffee cup sleeve and set it aside. I colored up the cup with the following Copic markers:

Cup ~ R00, R14
Cocoa ~ E23, E27
Whipped Cream ~ C00, C2, R00, R14
Sleeve ~ W00, W2, W4

I wanted to add a bit of texture to the digi layer but since I'd already trimmed the image I decided to die cut a piece of white card stock and then adhere the digi layer to that die cut card stock. I adhered a piece of the pattern paper to a white card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I then die cut the layers with the Slash Stitched Rectangle die from hop Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. Can you see a bit of the die cut stitches on both the bottom white layer and the pattern paper?

I adhered the bottom layer to a white A2 top fold card base and then I adhered the focal piece. I love how this card turned out!! It was pretty quick and oh, so fun to make!

I hope you'll go check out the Falling for the Holidays linky party hop if you haven't already. I'm enjoying all the fabulous inspiration being shared. Even if you're not able to play along, I hope that you've been inspired to build your stash of Holiday cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop ~ Season's Greetings Snowman

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's Day 4 of the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop and I'm sharing another card using the fun {BYSHC} Sketch 12. Today I used a sweet Snowman die from Spellbinders and a sentiment from the Christmas Magic stamp kit from hop Sponsor Unity Stamp Co.

I just adore this Snowman die!! He was very quick to die cut and so easy to adhere the pieces! Some of the pieces are embossed a bit too so it adds a touch of texture to this cute snowman! For my papers, I used one of my all-time favorites... I Love Winter from Echo Park Paper Co. I was surprised I still had almost a full sheet of the blue snowflake paper. I decided to use that for my background.

I used a corner rounder punch on the corners and adhered it to a black card front. The middle strip of paper was a scrap from the paper pad. I kinda wish one of the snowmen was more visible to tie it in with the whole card design, but it was the only piece of this paper left in the paper pad and it worked so well with the die cut Snowman... I just decided to go with it. I popped up the snowman with foam tape and then stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Magic stamp kit {one of my most favorite stamp kits from Unity, by the way!!}. I trimmed the sentiment and adhered it to the card.

Here's the sketch I used... I moved the sentiment down a bit so it didn't cover any of the snowman.
If you'd like to see more inspiration using this sketch, check out the Sketch 12 Album in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. I love going back through our past sketches for inspiration!

One more look at the cute card! I know exactly who I'm sending this one too!

Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop ~ Cuddly Winter Penguins with Forest Builder Scene

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back for Day 3 of the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!! Today, I'm sharing a card that I actually started for the Christmas in July hop but I didn't quite get it done in time. I used an adorable digi stamp from KaDoodle Bug Designs called Cuddly Winter Penguins and paired it up with some cute dies from hop Sponsor Newton's Nook Designs called Forest Scene Builder dies.

I started by layering my papers from the Winter Market paper pad by Carta Bella Paper Co. It's not the easiest to see but the bottom layer has four different papers from the paper pad. The trees on top and a solid green on bottom. There's also a striped paper in the middle and all three of those papers are on a dark blue paper. The focal piece was built with the same dark blue paper for the base. The snowflake paper makes for a soft background for the penguins. I die cut a stitched hill from white card stock for my snow. I die cut trees from Garden Green and Wild Wasabi card stock. And then the critters were also die cut from Real Red, True Black and Chocolate Chip card stock. I adhered all the die cuts to create my scene and then popped up the penguins on top of the scene.

I colored up the cute penguins with the following Copic markers:

Penguins ~ N1, N3, N5, N7, C00, C2, YR15, YR21, YR68, R000, R20
Hats ~ R000, R14, R27, C00, C2
Scarves ~ C00, C2, B00, B02, G000, G07, G14
Ground ~ N1, N3

I popped up the focal piece and sentiment with foam tape and added a couple enamel dots to finish it off. I just love this sweet scene card!

Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop ~ My Favorite Christmas ~ Echo Park Paper

 Hello there crafty friend!

It's day two of the Falling for the Holidays linky party hop and I am back with a quick card that I made using one of the {BYSHC} older sketches ~ Sketch #12! I remembered how fun and quick it was to use this sketch with cut aparts like I did back in this post... so I decided to make another card!

Isn't that Santa cut apart just THE cutest! I love it! I grabbed a few of the papers from the My Favorite Christmas paper pad by Echo Park Papers that coordinated nicely and layered up my A2 black card front. I used a corner rounder on that bottom layer.

I mat the cut apart on a piece of black card stock and then I popped it up on the card. I finished up the card with a few enamel dots from hop Sponsor Gina Marie Designs! A super easy and quick card... and I really love how this one turned out!

Here's a look at the sketch I used. If you'd like to see more cards using this fun sketch, you can check them out here... {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 12.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Welcome to the first day of the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} HopA full week of inspiration, fun, and prizes!! I hope you'll join us and play along!! We've been working all year to build our stash of Holiday cards and now we're nearing the end! Woohoo! I hope you all are close to reaching your goal... My first card for the hop is a sweet card using {BYSHC} Sketch 15 along with an adorable stamp from the A Little Mousy stamp kit and beautiful papers from the Farmhouse Christmas {paper pack}... both from returning Sponsor Unity Stamp Co.!!

I stamped the sweet mouse on a scrap of white card stock and die cut it with the X Stitched Circle die from returning Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. {Looks like the circle die isn't available anymore but I did see a square, hexagon, and oval die in Gina's shop!}

I colored the mouse with the following Copic markers:

Mouse ~ N0, N2, N3, RV0000, RV10
Tree ~ G24, G46, E23, E27, E50, R27, Y35
Ground ~ N0, N2

I decided to pair up this sweet stamp with a sweet sentiment from the Comfort to Go stamp kit, also from Unity Stamp Co. I think Mr. Mouse just oozes Joy, Love and Peace. I popped up the stitched circle with foam tape to finish this card off.

Not a Card ~ All Things Halloween Challenge ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing not one... but TWO fun Halloween creations for the All Things Halloween Challenge going on this month in the Unity Show & Tell group! I decided to make a Halloween tag for a treat bag and I just couldn't help making a fun Halloween Memory Dex card too!

I started by blending Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks on a piece of white card stock. I die cut the piece with a stitched tag die from my stash and stamped only the one side of the fun haunted house from the Haunted House Halloween stamp. I stamped the Spooky sentiment from the Kooky Spooky & Batty stamp in the background with Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink. I wanted it to blend into the background and not be the main sentiment.

Now I mentioned above that I blended with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink and unfortunately, when I tried stamping the Happy Halloween stamp on the bottom part of the tag the embossing powder got messed up. So... I grabbed a scrap of black card stock and redid the sentiment... stamping it with Wow Clear Embossing ink and I melted the Golden Gourd embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I die cut it with the same stitched tag die so it'll fit in the bottom of the tag and I tore the top to give some texture to the tag. To finish it up and tie the whole project together I stamped the sweet little pumpkin from the Little Boos stamp kit and colored it up with the following Copic markers:

Pumpkin ~ YR15, YR21, YR68
Stem / Leaf ~ E23, E27, G24, G46

I fussy cut the pumpkin and cleaned up the edges by running my Memento Tuxedo black marker along the edges and then just adhered the pumpkin to the tag. I used some {Black} May Arts Burlap String to tie the tag to the treat bag.

I had so much fun making the tag that I decided to make a Memory Dex card with the same colors and basically the same technique. I stamped the haunted house with Gina K. Black Amalgam ink... I love how some of the oxide inks bleeds through adding texture to the house. I stamped the same Spooky sentiment with Caved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink. And then I stamped the cute bat from the same Kooky Spooky & Bat Itty Bitty stamps. I fussy cut it and then clean up the edges with my Memento Tuxedo marker. I popped it up on the Memory Dex card with tiny pieces of foam tape.

To finish up my Memory Dex card, I stamped the happy Halloween sentiment from the Little Boos stamp kit and trimmed it into a flag. I then added a bit of Black Soot Distress Oxide inks around the edges with a Tim Holtz Distress Blending Brush and stapled it to the memory dex card.

Thanks SO much for stopping by today! I sure hope you've been inspired by my Halloween makes... if you'd like to see a few more pictures of my tag and Memory Dex card head over to the Unity blog! I'd love to see what amazing and fun Halloween creations you've been making with your Unity stamps. Join in the fun over at the Unity Show & Tell group! I'll see you all back here next Thursday with one more Halloween card for the All Things Halloween Challenge!

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 15 ~ Festive Wreath ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my weekly Christmas card and this time I used the beautiful new release called Festive Wreath by Graciellie Design available in red rubber at Unity Stamp Co. I am a huge fan of poinsettia stamps and wreath stamps so this one was a MUST to play with!

I haven't quite unpacked all of my pattern papers but I did find some of my 12 x 12 Christmas papers and I thought I'd make a regular size slimline using the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 15. I love to mix things up and adjust sketches when I can and this large wreath stamp definitely needed a larger card base. I decided to go with the pretty Wonderland papers by Kaisercraft.

I love the pop of red on the dark papers but it needed something when I was putting my layers together. I decided to add a strip of red card stock to the Christmas print papers. I think it ties in the red of the pretty poinsettias.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Wood sign ~ E23, E27, E50
Poinsettias ~ R00, R14, R27, Y15, Y35, YR27
Magnolias ~ C00, C2, Y15, Y35, YR27
Pinecones ~ E23, E27, E50

Here's a little video showing the glittery goodness of the wreath after I added some Glitter Gloss Nuvo Aqua Shimmer to the poinsettias.

I am loving this slimline version of the mini slimline sketch for this month. I'm so glad that I got to ink up this gorgeous wreath. Be sure to check out the fun new release and sale going on over at Unity... so many fabulous stamps!!

Here's a look at the fun {BYSHC} Sketch 15 for the month of October!
I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch! If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration, check out the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! I'll be back next Friday with my first Christmas card for the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop! Woohoo! I hope you'll join in the fun and play along with us!

See ya next time.
