Inky Paws Challenge #210 ~ Sketch Challenge

 Hello there crafty friend!
Who's up for a new challenge?! It's time to get our paws inky with a fun sketch challenge! I am loving the paper layers for this sketch. You have until Friday, November 10th to get your entries in for the #210 Sketch Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

I've been creating cards for the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Linky Party so it's no surprise that Christmas is on my mind. So I just had to make another Christmas card!

I had a blast with my paper layers for this one. I used the lovely Christmas Time 6x6 Paper Pad. I die cut the tree papers using the postage stamp die from the Framework Die Set. The cute scalloped frame was also made using a die from that set.

I stamped the cute car from the Destination Christmas Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it up with my Copic markers. I die cut it using the coordinating Destination Christmas Die Set. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Trees {die cut & stamped}: YG11, G24, G46, E23, E25, E27
Car: R20, R14, R46
Bumper / Door Handle / Wheel: C00, C1, C3
Tire: N0, N1, N3, N5
Window: B0000, B000

I created a bit of scene for the card using the hill die from the Land Borders Die Set to create some snowy layers. I also die cut a tree using a tree die from the Forest Scene Builder Die Set that I colored up with my Copic markers {listed above}. The sentiment is heat embossed using a white pigment ink, white embossing powder and a heat tool to melt the powder. I trimmed it up and cut a fishtail and popped it up on the card with foam tape.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Holiday Birds ~ RAM Stamps

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with a cute holiday card for the last day of the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! My card for today features a mix of products from a few of our wonderful Linky Party Sponsors, but it features the adorable Holiday Birds from Sponsor RAM Stamps. These birdies are just too cute!

I resized this adorable digital stamp in a Word Document so that it would fit nice for a slimline card. It measures approximately 6 x 1.75". I also added the sentiment from the Christmas Joy Girl digital stamp from Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Designs. I am loving the font used for the sentiments in this set. I printed these off the other when I print off the wreath for the card I shared yesterday.

I paired up these cute birdies with the Christmas Time 6x6 Paper Pad from Sponsor Newton's Nook Designs. My favorite trick for using 6x6 papers on a slimline card is to split a 6 x 3-1/2" piece of the pattern paper in half to 3 x 3-1/2". In this case, it's the holly and berry pattern paper. I used a scrap of the striped paper for the center of the panel. And then I adhered the holly and berry paper over top on the right and left side of a white slimline card base measuring 8-1/2 x 7"; scored at 3-1/2" using the Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue from our Sponsor Bearly Art.

I die cut the adorable birdies using the second largest die from the Wonky Stitched Slimline die from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. I popped it up on the card using a bunch of foam strips from the Bearly Art Cubies: The Polar Collection from Sponsor Bearly Art. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up these adorable birds.

Birds: B0000, B000, B02, Y06, Y15, Y38
Holly & Berries / Hat / Scarf: YG11, G24, G46, R20, R14, R46
Lights: R20, R14, Y06, Y15, YG11, G24, B000, B02, V000, V12, V17, E21, E23, E25, N3
Outline: BG000

I have had SO much fun playing along with the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! I hope that you've been inspired to make a few Christmas cards to relieve some of the holiday stress. I know that I am feeling great about the 8 cards that I made. Thank you ALL so much for stopping by my blog and commenting on my cards. I've truly enjoyed each of the comments. Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Christmas Joy Girl ~ Angie Blom Digital Designs

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm so excited to share another holiday card for day 7 of the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party!! Today I'm featuring the wonderful Christmas Joy Girl digital stamps from Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Designs. I snatched up this beautiful set of digital stamps during Angie's fabulous 40% OFF sale! I saw a couple lovely samples using the gorgeous wreath and I cased the design.

I resized the digital stamp in a Word Document and then I printed it off {along with some other fun digis that I may be sharing soon!}. I trimmed my paper and die cut the wreath using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Unity. And then I colored it up with the following Copic markers:

Ribbon: Y06, Y15, Y38
Holly Leaves: YG11, G24, G46
Berries: R20, R14, R46

I also added a touch of white to each berry using a white Sakura gelli roll pen.

I trimmed a card front of Real Red card stock from Stampin' Up and adhered my layers using the Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue from our Sponsor Bearly Art. I am really loving the fine tip that came with THE MINI glue. I had no idea that it would arrive with two different tips and a top to close it. Such a smart product! I feel like I've been under a rock missing out on this one. LOL

I adhered the card front to a white A2 top fold card base. To finish off the card, I trimmed the sentiment that I had printed off with the wreath. I cut a fishtail on the one end and popped up the sentiment on the card using Bearly Art Cubies: The Polar Collection foam squares from our Sponsor Bearly Art.

Just a couple more days to play along with the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party. Be sure to head over to Angie Blom Digital Designs to check out the 40% OFF sale! And then stop by Bearly Art... I can't be the only one who wasn't familiar with this brand... I am loving it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Stellar Snowflake Stencil ~ Gina K. Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my sixth card for the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! My card today features a mix of products from a few of our wonderful Sponsors of the Linky Party. I went a bit out of my comfort zone and made a pink-red snowflake card featuring the awesome Stellar Snowflake Stencil from our return Sponsor Gina K. Designs. I also used a die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Sponsor Unity Stamp Co.

Normally I would use a blue or a purple for a snowflake. Last year I used green with this beautiful stencil. I really loved how that card turned out. This time I was thinking a mix of pink and red would be fun. What do you think? I blended Kitsch Flamingo and Candied Apple Distress Oxide inks over the Stellar Snowflake Stencil. It would be so easy to make multiples of this card!

I die cut the panel using the larger stitched rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Unity. I stamped the sentiment from the Joy of the Season STAMPtember stamp set from Gina K. Designs and Simon Says Stamp. Unfortunately, that's an exclusive set that was sold in 2018. I mat the snowflake panel with a piece of True Black card stock measuring 3-3/4 x 5" and then I adhered it to a card front of Real Red card stock measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" using the Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue from our Sponsor Bearly Art. I recently bought THE MINI... and I have to say I'm enjoying this glue!! If you follow my blog or cardmaking... you know that I LOVE my liquid glue!!

I added some sparkle to the card with some Holiday Glitter enamel dots from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. They are the perfect size for these dots in the snowflake! I adhered the card front panel to a white A2 top fold card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11"; scored at 5-1/2".

Have you stopped by the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared?! I am blown away by all the amazing cards! I sure hope you'll stop by and check them out.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Bear Hugs ~ Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my fifth card for the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! My card today features products from a few of our Sponsors. I used the absolutely adorable Bear Hugs Stamp Set from Sponsor Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I just love the cute bear in this stamp set!

I was organizing my stamps a bit this weekend while also looking for more white card stock. To be honest, I was in a bit of a panic because I only had a handful of my go-to white card stock and I couldn't find another pack. So I tore up my studio and made a huge mess of it really but I did find a few packs of Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink! Phew! What a relief! Anywho, while I was cleaning up after the craft-nado {haha} I saw this sweet stamp set.

I also found the Knitting Background Stamp from Darkroom Door that I used to create my background. I ink smooshed some Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide inks over a piece of Kraft card stock. I dried my background completely with a heat tool and then I applied TE Anti Static Powder Tool all over the background. Stamped it with Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Sponsor Taylored Expressions and then I added some white embossing powder and melted it with my heat tool. It adds a fun texture to the background!

I die cut the background using the largest stitched die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. I tore the end of the panel and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base and then set it aside. I stamped the adorable bear with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it up with the following Copic markers:

Bear: E30, E33, R00, R20, RV52, N1, N3
Mug: R00, R20, RV52
Snowflake: C00, C1, C3
Candy: C00, C1, R20, R14, R46

I die cut the bear using the stitched circle from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from Unity. I found a vellum circle tucked in with my dies so I just used that for my card. It was die cut from Vellum card stock using the slightly larger scalloped circle. Adhered the circles together and then I added a bunch of foam squares to the back of the bear circles using the Bearly Art Cubies: The Polar Collection from our Brand New Sponsor Bearly Art. To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Village: Post Office stamp set from Sponsor Jaded Blossom. Love this sentiment and the font is so pretty!

Be sure to stop by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps to check out all the awesome holiday releases for this month including a fun Knit Background stamp that I probably would have used for my card if I had it. And if you haven't already, stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! Have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Caitlin Girl ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm so excited to share another card for day 4 of the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party!! Today I'm featuring the wonderful Caitlin Girl stamps from Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. I have had this beauty in my collection for quite some time, but I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've inked her up.

I paired this sweet stamp up with the lovely Rustic Winter Wishes {paper pack} also from Unity. I love the contrast of the dark background with the pop of white for the focal panel. I also found a piece of kraft pattern paper in my paper pack that was perfect size for this sketch. I adhered my pattern paper layers to a white A2 top fold card base using the iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from Sponsor Therm O Web.

Caitlin Girl was stamped with Black Amalgam ink from Sponsor Gina K. Designs. I colored her up with Copic markers and also did a bit of paper piecing for her hat and jacket using a pretty paper from the Getting Cozy {paper pack} that is also from Unity.
Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ YR31, E43, E44
Scarf  / Gloves / Boots / Accents ~ R20, R14, R46
Pants ~ E51, E31, E33
Belt ~ E51, E31, E33, E35
Small Snowman ~ C00, B0000, YG11, G24, G46, R20, R14, R46, YR15, YR68
Snowman ~ C00, B0000, YG11, G24, G46, YR15, YR68
Outline ~ C00, C1

I die cut the colored image with a die from the Scalloped Stitched Mini Slimline dies from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. The space on the right side of Caitlin Girl was limited but I thought the fun 'Merry Christmas' sentiment from the Cute Santa stamps from Unity would fit and it did!! I stamped it with Candied Apple Distress Oxide inks. And then I covered the back of the panel with a bunch of iCraft 3D Foam Squares from Sponsor Therm O Web. I love the dimension the foam gives to the card!

My card was inspired by the {BYSHC} Sketch 10. Another favorite! It works really well with larger stamps!  Have you visited the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group? We host a fun sketch challenge each month to inspire our holiday cardmaking all year long. It's been such a big help to me. No more stressing in November/December if I'll have enough Christmas cards ready.

Just a reminder that I'm also a Sponsor for the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party and this is the fabulous prize package that I am offering for one lucky winner. It's filled with goodies from a few of our Sponsors... and I actually have a pack of Happy Feet Embellishment Mix  from Sponsor Twiddler's Nook that I just found and I'm adding to this prize! For a chance to win this fun prize make a Christmas card and link it up to the linky party blog post on the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers blog.

Inky Paws Challenge #209 ~ Color Challenge Reminder

 Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #209 - Color Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, October 27th to get your entries in for the #209 Color Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Here's another look at the fun colors... Rusty Orange, Honey Yellow, Cornflower Blue, and Caramel Brown.

I couldn't help but use the Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad again since the colors worked so well for this color challenge. I cut the yellow pattern paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" and the leaf paper was a scrap leftover from last weeks card. I die cut the leaf paper with the hill die from the Land Borders Die Set. I had a fun idea to make a peek-a-boo card so I die cut a circle in the front of my white A2 card base and in the yellow pattern paper using a circle die from the Circle Frames Die Set.

I also die cut two pieces of kraft card stock using the next largest die in the Circle Frames Die Set. And then I die cut the scalloped circles using the slightly smaller stitched circle die to get that opening. I framed the opening with the kraft circle on the front of the card and on the inside so the hole looked nice on the inside {didn't capture that in the photos though}. Next, I stamped the cut hot cocoa from the Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the hot cocoa:

Mug ~ B000, B41, B23, B66, Y11, Y15, Y38
Whipped Cream ~ C00, C1, C3
Cinnamon Sticks ~ E51, E34, E35
Chocolate ~ E51, E34, E35, E37
Heart ~ YR15, YR24, YR27

I die cut the hot cocoa cup using the stitched circle die from the Circle Frames Die Set. I was then able to place it inside the opening and adhere it in place. The sentiment and heart were also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I trimmed the sentiment and adhered it to the card. I fussy cut the heart and cleaned up the edges real nice by coloring them with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. And then I adhered the heart to the card, too.

A look inside the card... I think I will probably add a sentiment inside. In the moment I just couldn't pick one.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project with the color combo of Rusty Orange, Honey Yellow, Cornflower Blue, and Caramel Brown. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Holiday Owls ~ Not 2 Shabby

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back for Day 3 of the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! Today's card is super CAS and super quick... but I think it turned out pretty cute!

I used the adorable owl from the Holiday Owls stamp set from Sponsor Not 2 Shabby. I don't see this cute set on the website which is super sad. I think it was from one of Not 2 Shabby's box of the month subscriptions last year. If you love a fun surprise delivered to your door each month, check out the awesome subscriptions over at Not 2 Shabby! I inked up this sweet owl with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it up with the following Copic Markers:

Santa hat: R20, R14, R46, C00, C1, C3
Holly & Berries: R14, R46, YG11, G24
Owl: YR21, YR15, YR24, W00, W1, W3, W5, E55, E57

I paired up this sweet owl with the awesome Dotted Wreath Stencil from Sponsor A Colorful Life Design. When I need a quick card I love to reach for a fun stencil and I've been wanting to play with this one for awhile. I blended Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks over the Dotted Wreath Stencil directly onto the front of my white A2 card base.

I stamped the sentiment directly on the card front using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I fussy cut the owl on the line and made it look all nice and neat by coloring the edge black with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. I added some foam squares to the back of the owl using the Bearly Art Cubies: The Polar Collection from our Brand New Sponsor Bearly Art. Love the dimension it adds to the card!

Before you leave be sure to stop by Not 2 Shabby and check out the fun new release that's available today... Jamie shared some super cute sneak peeks of some of the new goodies on the Not 2 Shabby blog at the start of the Linky Party. You don't want to miss out on this one! Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Chillin' Gnomies ~ Colorado Craft Company

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my second card for the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! I just checked the link ups and there's already 59 entries!! Woohoo!!That's so awesome! It was so much fun checking out the inspiration shared yesterday for the start of the Linky Party. Today I'm sharing a card using a sweet stamp set from return Sponsor Colorado Craft Company.

I used the super fun and adorable Chillin' Gnomies Stamp Set for this card. All these fun images were so fun to color up! And then I had a blast building a fun scene! I stamped all the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used to color up all these images:

Santa Gnome: E000, E00, E11, R20, R14, R46, C00, C1, C3, Y11, Y15, Y28, N0, N1, N3, N5
Bunny: W00, W1, W3, W5, R00, R20
Penguins: C00, C1, N0, N1, N3, N5, YR21, YR15, YR24
Polar Bear: C00, C1, C3, R00, R20, Y11, Y15, Y28, R20, R14,
Sled: R20, R14, R46, E51, E53, E55, E57
Gift: YG11, G24, G46, Y11, Y15, Y28

I paired up these cuties with a vintage paper in my stash called Pine St. Square from The Paper Studio that I got a long time ago at Hobby Lobby. I thought the vintage vibe of the sled worked well with these papers. I die cut the holly paper using the Cloudy Frames Dies from our return Sponsor Pink & Main. The die that I used isn't available anymore but here's one that is similar... Diagonal Cover Dies

I also die cut a piece of black card stock using the Cloudy Frames Dies and then I splattered it with white acrylic paint for a snowy night sky. I adhered all my layers together using iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from our wonderful Sponsor Therm O Web. I cleaned up the edges of the fussy cut images by coloring them with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment on white card stock, trimmed it up and adhered it to the card.

Before you leave be sure to stop by Colorado Craft Company and check out all their wonderful holiday stamps! If you're in the mood for instant gratification... they also carry digital stamps! And then hop on over to Pink & Main and check out their awesome new releases... including an adorable October Pup that you can get for free with a $50 purchase {get the October Pup stamps and coordinating dies with a $75 order}!!  And if you haven't already, stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!!

Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ 3 Times as Merry ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm so excited to share my first card for the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party!! For my first card I'm featuring the awesome new 3 Times as Merry stamps from Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. How stinkin' cute is this Santa gnome! Love him!

I challenged myself a bit and just reached randomly into my Christmas papers and I grabbed the Let it Snow 6x6 Paper Pad from Doodlebug Design Inc. Luckily there were papers that worked well with my colored gnome. I used three different pattern papers from the pad for my background. I adhered my pattern paper layers to a white A2 top fold card base using the iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from Sponsor Therm O Web.

The 3 Times as Merry Santa gnome was stamped with Black Amalgam ink from Sponsor Gina K. Designs. I colored him up with the following Copic Markers:

Nose ~ E000, E00, E11
Beard / White Accents ~ C00, C1, C3
Hat / Glove / Coat ~ R20, R14, R46
Shoes ~ N0, N1, N3, N5, N7
Tree ~ YG11, G24, G46, E53, E55, E57, E59
Red Ornaments ~ R20, R14, R46
Star / Yellow Ornaments ~ Y06, Y15, Y38
Blue Ornaments ~ B000, B02
Green Ornaments ~ YG11, YG03
House Ornament ~ R20, R14, R46, C00, C1

I die cut a piece of white card stock using the largest die from the Stitched Arch STAX dies from My Favorite Things. Blended a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks in the center of the die cut. Fussy cut Santa gnome leaving a white border and popped him up on the card using a bunch of iCraft 3D Foam Squares from Therm O Web. I love the dimension the foam gives to the card! The sentiment was also stamped with Black Amalgam ink. Trimmed it and mat it with a piece of pattern paper from the paper pad.

My card was inspired by a past sketch - {BYSHC} Sketch 16! I turned the sketch, omitted the mats for the paper layers, and shifted the sentiment. But I think you can still see the how the sketch influenced the design of my card. Have you visited the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group? We host a fun sketch challenge each month to inspire our holiday cardmaking ALL YEAR LONG. No more stressing out during the holiday season to get those cards done! And I love revisiting the sketches and will likely be sharing a few during the Linky Party.

Yay!! I'm also a Sponsor for the Falling for the Holidays 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party and this is the fabulous prize package that I am offering for one lucky winner with a $45 retail value. Woot woot!! For a chance to win this fun prize make a Christmas card and link it up to the linky party blog post on the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers blog.
