{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #9 ~ Spring into Christmas {BYSHC} Hop ~ Polka Dot Orchard

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am back with my last card for the Spring into Christmas 2021 {BYSHC} Hop card... I'm a little bummed that the hop is already coming to an end, but I'm so happy that so many have shared an amazing bunch of wonderful holiday cards!! We have seriously built our stash of holiday cards this week and I am ecstatic!! I hope you are too! Today is also the last day for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 9 and I'm sharing a sweet gnome card using the adorable From Our Gnome to Yours digi stamp set from Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard along with the sketch!!

I went a little nuts with the white acrylic paint splatter for the snow but in my defense we are actually having a couple mid-90 degree days and I'm melting in my studio so snow sounds lovely!! Ha! The papers I chose are the Holiday Intrigue {paper pack} designed by the lovely Angie Blom from Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Designs and available at Sponsor Unity Stamp Co! Have I mentioned that I love our hop Sponsors! They are amazing humans!

I combined and resized the fun Christmas tree image and the gnome image in a Microsoft Document and print it off. I love the ease of the gnome digi because the sentiments are all ready on the sign and there's no need to get them just so! I then die cut it at an angle with a small stitched rectangle die. I die cut a piece of vellum card stock with the same die and set it aside. The sentiment is from the Magic of Christmas digi set also from Polka Dot Orchard.

I colored up the image with the following Copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E11
Mustache / Beard ~ C00, C2
Hat ~ R000, R14, R27, YG11, G14, G17, C00, C2
Shirt / Pants ~ R11, R14, R27, B91, B95, B97, B99
Shoes ~ N0, N2, N4, N6
Sign ~ E51, E55, E57
Tree ~ E47, E49, E55, Y06, Y38, B00, B02, R14, R27
Snow ~ C00, C2
Sky ~ B39, B69

Here's a look at Sketch 9... today is the last day to enter this challenge!

I'm also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes.

Spring into Christmas {BYSHC} Hop ~ Holiday Helpers ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I can't believe that we are nearing the end of the Spring into Christmas 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!! Time has seriously flown by... and I've really enjoyed all of the creations being shared! I hope that if you haven't been able to play along that you drop by the hop and check out all the wonderful cards being shared and maybe even give some love on the creations. I know I enjoy it thoroughly when I get a sweet comment on my cards. Anywho, today I am featuring an adorable stamp from Unity Stamp Co. that's called Holiday Helpers. I chose the little boy elf stamp for my card today.

Isn't he just the cutest?! I pulled my palette of colors from the papers that I used... the Twas the Night Before Christmas Vol. 2 paper pad by Echo Park Paper. Both layers of pattern paper are from that paper pad. The toy paper layer is die cut with a stitched rectangle die and then I adhered it to the polka dot paper. I then adhered the layers to a white A2 top fold card base.

I used the following Copic markers to color this cutie:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, R00, R20
Hair ~ E55, E57, E59
Shirt ~ W00, W2, R14, R27, R59, R89
Hat ~ R27, R59, R89, Y15, Y28
Jumper ~ G24, G29, G85, G94
Tights ~ R14, R27, R59, G85, G94
Shoes ~ R14, R27, R59, R89
Hammer / Nails ~ N1, N3, N5, E55, E57, E59
Truck ~ N1, N3, N5, Y15, G29, G85, G94
Ground ~ E51, E55

I die cut the cute elf and the sentiment with standard circle dies and then with a pencil ticked off little marks to trim off the one side of the circles. If you're a member of the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group, you may recognize this card design... it was for our 8th sketch challenge.

The challenge is over but it sure has been fun using some of the sketches that we've been playing with.

Tomorrow is the last day to play along with the Spring into Christmas 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!! I hope you can find some time today to create and join us in building our stash of holiday cards!! Spring into Christmas {BYSHC} Hop ~ Poinsettia Tea Cup ~ Graciellie Design

Hello there crafty friend!
It's day 6 of the Spring into Christmas 2021 {BYSHC} Hop and I have a lovely card featuring one of my favorite digi stamps from Sponsor Graciellie Design called Christmas Cheer!! I was itching to make another mini slimline card... it's been a while! lol I just love making this size of card!

I print off the sentiment and the image separately because I knew I was going to fussy cut the cup and saucer and set it on the fun Cozy Cup Coaster die from The Greetery. I just HAD to have this die when it released and this is the first time that I've used it! Do you do that too? I do it more often than I'd like to admit. Anywho... I colored up the cup and saucer with the following Copic markers:

Poinsettia ~ R11, R14, R29, G000, G12, YG67
Cup / Saucer ~ E30, E31, E35, E50
Hot Chocolate ~ E23, E25, E27, E51

I trimmed down the sentiment layer to 5-3/4 x 3" and mat it with a pretty piece of patterned paper from the Deck the Halls paper pad by Echo Park Paper. I adhered that to a white mini slimline card base measuring 6-1/2 x 6" scored at 3-1/4". I die cut the coaster from another piece of patterned paper in the same paper pad and then adhered it to the card. I fussy cut the Christmas Cheer cup and saucer leaving a skinny border around the image. I added a bit of gold metallic thread to the coaster before adhering the cup and saucer to the card. To finish it off, I added a little white gel pen to the berries. Love it!

There's just a few more days to play along with the Spring into Christmas 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!! I hope you'll join us in building our stash of holiday cards!! Be sure to stop by the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog to check out all the amazing inspiration being shared! So much fun!

Spring into Christmas {BYSHC} Hop ~ Magic of Christmas ~ Polka Dot Orchard

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I am sharing another Christmas card using the Magic of Christmas digi stamp from Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard for the Spring into Christmas 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!! This digi stamp has a special place in my heart as it's the first ever digi stamp that I illustrated for Polka Dot Orchard. I just love it!

I wanted the digis to be the focal piece of this whole card so I made them pretty big. The hat was actually print separately from the boots. I colored the images and fussy cut the hat and then trimmed off a bit of the bottom so it would look like the hat was sitting right on the boots. I think it turned out pretty good. Here's a list of the Copic markers I used to color these up:

Hat ~ R000, R14, R27, C00, C2
Boots ~ N0, N2, N4, N6, C00, C2, Y15, Y28
Ground / Background ~ N2, N4, E0000, E00, E30

I die cut the boots with the Big & Little Chain Rectangle dies from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. I mat the die cut panel on a 3-3/4 x 5" piece of Kraft card stock. I trimmed the sentiment and mat it to fit just inside of the die piercing... it's measures 3-3/16 x 5/8" with a 3-5/16 x 3/4" Kraft mat.

The papers in the background are from the My Favorite Christmas paper pad by Echo Park Paper. I think they work just perfectly with this sweet image. To finish off this card I added a little holly die cut that I had in my stash from a previous project. The dies I used are from the Wreath die set by Gina Marie Designs but it looks like that die has been replaced with a new Wreath die set.

That's it for me today! Go check out the fabulous sale over at Polka Dot Orchard... so many wonderful digital stamps!! Polka Dot Orchard also has fantastic stencils in different sizes AND some really cool laser engraved wood ornaments!!

Spring into Christmas {BYSHC} Hop ~ Christmas Shop ~ Angie Blom Digital Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I am featuring a beautiful digi stamp from Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Design called Christmas Shop for the Spring into Christmas 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!! I just adore this stamp so much! It reminds me of a sweet vacation we had once in Pennsylvania... there was this darling Christmas shop in the little town that we stayed in. I probably spent an hour or more just admiring all the lovely Christmas ornaments... loved that little shop!

I went with a simple design for this card using the pretty Deck the Halls paper pad from Echo Park Paper for the main layer on a white A2 top fold card base.

I used one of my favorite dies from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs called Pleated Lace Rectangles dies to die cut the Christmas Shop image that I colored with the following Copic markers:

Building / Lights ~ E30, E31, Y02, Y15
Roof ~ N0, N2, N4, N6, E29, E30, E31, E37
Wreath ~ G12, G46, R000, R14, R27
Windows ~ G000, G12, G19, G29, G46, Y02, Y15, R14, R27, R32, B00
Trees / Planters ~ G000, G19, G29, E29, E30, E31, E37
Background ~ BG0000, BG000

I added a bit of Glossy Accents to the windows and it really gives a great touch to the card.

I trimmed up the sentiment to set across the bottom of the image and added an enamel dot to each side to finish up this card. I just love it!

Go check out the Christmas Collection over at Angie Blom Digital Designs... they're 40% off... just add to cart!! I just love a great sale! Angie also just had a fun new release... so many beautiful new digi stamps. I hope you'll stop by her shop!

Spring into Christmas {BYSHC} Hop ~ Book Lover & Coffee Lovers ~ Graciellie Design

Hello there crafty friend!
Any coffee or book lovers out there?! Well, I absolutely love both so I just had to combine the book image from the Book Lovers Digital Stamp with the cup image from the Coffee Lovers Digital Stamp... both from Graciellie Design a Sponsor of the Spring into Christmas 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!!

My card today has more of a wintry feel... warm and cozy for those chilly winter days! Also a rustic woodsy feel with the color palette I pulled from the A Cozy Christmas paper pad by Echo Park Paper that I used for my paper layers on this card. The sentiment is from the Wonderful Winter Digital Stamp set... I actually cropped the sentiment so that it would fit better with my card design. One of the benefits of working with digital stamps, but also very similar to masking a stamp. And speaking of my card design, I used Sketch #2 from our second sketch challenge in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. This was one of my favorite sketches... there's lots of room for the focal image to shine.

I used the following Copic markers to color up these gorgeous images:

Mug ~ YG11, YG17, YG67, G19, G29
Whipped Cream ~ C00, C2
Books ~ R21, R56, R89, E53, E55, E57, E59, G19, G29, W00, W2, W3
Ground / Outline ~ E53, E57, W00, W2

Spring into Christmas {BYSHC} Hop ~ Wonky Grinch Christmas ~ Gina Marie Design

Hello there crafty friend!

I'm back with another fun card for the Spring into Christmas 2021 {BYSHC} Hop using the fabulous Grinch Themed stamp set and the Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies... both from Sponsor Gina Marie Design!! I have been itching to use this fabulous stamp set!!

I'm so glad I did too! How cute it that?! It was really hard to pick which stamp to use, but I had a fun idea to use a couple of the sketches that we have used for our challenges in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group and Sketch #1 was perfect with this stamp! I colored this cute image with the following Copic markers:

Hand ~ YG11, YG17, YG23, G14
Sleeve ~ C00, C2, R000, R14, R27, R37, R46
Ornament ~ R000, R14, R27, R37, R46, gold gel pen

The papers I used are the Holiday Intrigue {paper pack} designed by the fabulous Angie Blom of Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Design for Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. I am such a huge fan of each of our Sponsors... if you couldn't tell! LOL I stamped the sentiment with Wow Clear embossing ink and melted Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. The cute little tree brad has been in my stash forever... I'm really not sure where I got it. I think it was the perfect touch to finish off this card though!!

CAS Stenciled Cards ~ Virtual Hugs ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Have you seen the fabulous new mini release over at Unity Stamp Co. yet? Oh my goodness! I couldn't wait to ink up this sweet Virtual Hugs stamp set!! I had a fun idea for a quick set of all occasion cards using a few stencils along with some simple copic coloring!

How cute are these?! And SO easy and quick! I started by stamping the cute laptop four times with Gina K. Design black Amalgam ink. I then stamped the different sentiments on the laptop screens.

I added a bit of C00 and C2 Copic marker to the edges of each of the laptop screens and then added a bit of N0 and N1 to the keyboard of each of the laptops. I fussy cut each of them leaving a bit of a white border around the image.

For my first card I used the Chained Hexagon Stencil from Gina Marie Designs along with Squeezed Lemonade and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide inks.

A quick birthday card using the Star Confetti stencil from Unity Stamp Co. along with Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks.

I can just imagine this quick birthday card in so many fun color combos!!

This one with the Slanted Bricks stencil from Gina Marie Designs along with Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide inks just might be my favorite color combo!

Such a cute thank you card!

And the last card using the Heart Confetti stencil from Unity along with Spun Sugar and Festive Berries Distress Oxide inks is a close fave too!

I love the sentiment and the hearts together... so perfect!

I have a quick video sharing how I made the last card... and I also share the other finished cards. You can check that out here... CAS Stenciled Cards.

*Please note that the Thanks stamp that is shown in the video above is not available in the set.
Sorry for any confusion.

I am definitely going to make more of these and send them to some friends as gifts! So quick and I love ink blending... it's so fun! Stop by Unity Stamp Co. to see the fun mini release and there's a fab Inventory Reduction Sale happening too!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #9 ~ Spring into Christmas 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!!

Hello there crafty friend!
Welcome to the first day of the Spring into Christmas 2021 {BYSHC} Hop! It's a full week of inspiration, fun, and prizes!! I hope you'll join us and play along... let's work on building our stash of Holiday cards all year long!! Check out the {BYSH} Cardmakers Blog for details and to link up!

Today I'm sharing a fun shaker card using products from four different Sponsors of our fabulous hop!! Woohoo!! The sweet Merry Girl stamp illustrated by Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Design is from Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. I did a mix of copic coloring and paper piecing and then fussy cut her out. I used the following Copic markers to color:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ E21, E23, E27
Hat / Coat / Scarf ~ C00, C2, RV10, RV11, R11
Shirt / Mittens ~ YG03, G94, Colorless Blender
Boots ~ W00, W3, W5
Pants ~ E21, E23
Cup ~ C00, C2, R22, W00, W5
Candy Cane ~ C00, C2, RV10, RV11
Gifts ~ R14, R22, RV11
Gift Bags ~ R11, R14, R22, YG03, G94

I still had the Sugar Cookie Christmas papers from Prima Marketing out and I thought they would work really nicely with the fun Frosty Flakes Embellishment Mix from Sponsor Twiddler's Nook. So, of course, I just HAD to make a shaker card with those cute flakes!

I made the shaker element with a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4" piece of the Sugar Cookie Christmas paper. I die cut a frame from white card stock with the Scalloped Stitched Rectangles Frame from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs and adhered a 3 x 4" piece of Clear card stock to the back of the frame. I then used some foam adhesive strips to raise the shaker frame... I added some of the Frosty Flakes embellishment mix to the pretty paper and then adhered the shaker frame over top.

Here's a look at the current April sketch... Sketch #9. I decided to flip the sketch for my shaker card so Merry Girl wouldn't cover up Santa and his sleigh in the pretty Christmas papers. Join us in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group and play along! You could even play along with the sketch and the hop!! How fun!?

Well, that's my first card for the hop! I sure hope that you like it!
Come back tomorrow to see another fun Christmas card featuring more fabulous products from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs! You won't want to miss this one... it just may turn you green!!

Be sure to check out the Spring into Christmas 2021 {BYSHC} Hop over on the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog... let's really build our stash of holiday cards this week!!

Kraft with a Pop Mother's Day Card ~ Timeless Moments ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing a beautiful Mother's Day card using a new release from Unity Stamp Co. called Timeless Moments. Such a gorgeous stamp! It's been awhile since I've done some copic coloring on Kraft card stock and I thought this beautiful stamp would just look amazing on kraft... and I think I was totally right!!

I stamped the flowers and sentiment with Gina K. Design Amalgam black ink on Kraft card stock and then I stamped the flowers again on white card stock. I die cut the panel with the flowers and sentiment with a stitched rectangle die from the Blueprints 20 dies from My Favorite Things. I also die cut another piece of Kraft card stock with the Loopy Frame die from Gina Marie Design.

I colored up the pretty flowers with the following Copic markers ~ Y15, Y17, Y38, YR15, YR20, YR68, R000, R14, R27, E33, E37 and then outlined the flowers with W1.

I colored just the outer edges of the two center flowers on the kraft card stock with R14. I colored those two centers flowers on the white card stock that I had set aside with R000, R14, and R27... leaving some white in these flowers with the red really makes them pop on the card. My color inspiration came from the fantastic color palette over at the Color Throwdown challenge going on this week! I love a great challenge!

I adhered the two die cut kraft layers together and then adhered them to a black card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I adhered the entire panel to a white A2 top fold card base. I then popped up those two center flowers with foam squares. To finish off the card I added tiny dots of Nuvo Gloss Simply White drops.

I have a quick video sharing the assembly of this pretty card.
You can check it out here... Kraft with a Pop Mother's Day Card.

I am really loving this gorgeous stamp set for Mother's Day cards!! Go check out the mini release happening over at Unity right now! So many fabulous new stamps!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #9 ~ Stay Warm ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing a sweet mini slimline card using the adorable Stay Warm stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. You may remember this sentiment from the sweet penguin card I shared the beginning of April. I remembered the sweet snowman from that set and just had to use him in my card this week!!

Isn't he just the sweetest?! Too cute! I chose the I Love Winter papers from Echo Park to pair up with this sweet stamp. I love the blues and blue-greens in these papers!! So much fun!

I used the following Copic markers to color up this cute image:

Snowman ~ C00, C2, YR15, YR68, R14
Hat / Scarf ~ BG11, BG15, C00, C2
Bird / Nest ~ N2, B0000, B06, B26, B39, R14, R27, E25, E49
Snow / Sky ~ C00, C2, BG0000, BG000

I had to adjust the sketch a bit for this one since I wanted to make it into a mini slimline card. The snowman paper measures 3-1/2 x 6" and is adhered to a white mini slimline card base measuring 7 x 6", scored at 3-1/2". The wood panel paper measures 3-1/8 x 4-1/2". The snowman and sentiment is stamped on a 3 x 3-3/4" piece of white card stock... which was a tad bit too big and I ended up trimming off the two corners. I finished off the card with a couple strips of patterned paper from the same paper pack. I think it turned out pretty cute... I do wish that I had colored the bird a different color. It's really too dark... but it is what it is!

Here's another look at {BYSHC} Sketch 9... I sure hope that you're inspired to pull out your holiday stamps and papers and get a jump on your holiday cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
