Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 45 ~ Hooting Owl ~ Angie Blom Digital Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing more inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 45 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I am so ready for everything Fall... especially the cooler weather! It has been way too hot!

I printed off the adorable Hooting Owl Digital Stamp from Angie Blom Digital Designs. Looks like this one is retired but there's another sweet owl called Love Owl. If you love owls like I do, it's another must have digi stamp! I die cut the sweet owl using a die from Waffle Flower called Nesting Circles Dies. I colored the owl with Copic markers.

Copic markers used:
Owl: C0, C1, C2, C3, C5
Beak / Legs / Feet: YR21, YR15, YR14
Eyes: YG11, YG63, C0, C2
Scarf: W0, W3, Y11, Y15, E21, E23, E25, YR21, YR15, R05, YR68
Branch: E21, E25, E57
Leaves: Y11, Y15, YR21, YR15, E21, E23, E25, YG11, YG63

I paired up the fun owl with the Fall Breeze 6x6 Paper Pad from Photoplay. I've had these papers in my stash for quite some time. It was fun to look through them again. I used the measurements from the sketch for my background layers. The scallop mat was die cut using a die from Spellbinders called Fancy Scallop Edge Circles. No idea if this one is still available anywhere. It's been in my stash for a long time and I think this is the first time I've used it.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 45. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I really like the large circle for the focal image. It keeps the design kind of simple.

I love all the fun layers on this card. I adhered the sentiment to the focal circle and then popped them up with foam tape. I sure hope you can find time to play along with the sketch challenge. Have an INKriffic day!

Membership Wednesday ~ July 2026 BOM Daisy Defined ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a little inspiration for the fun Color Challenge that the Friends of Unity are hosting in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group. Red, White & Blue is the color combo and I wondered how it would look with the fab Background of the Month stamp from Unity!

I started with my background for this one. I debated back and forth and back and forth and just finally went with red only for my background. I felt like if I did blue and red on the background maybe it would be too 4th of July-like. I used Candied Apple and Barn Door Distress Inks for my ink smooshing.

My card design was inspired by TOP Inky Inspiration Sketch 45 that just started yesterday in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I'm having fun with this sketch already!

I adhered the ink smooshed background to a light blue card base. And then I stamped the Daisy Defined background stamp on white card stock with Black Amalgam ink. I looked at it for a really long time trying to decide what to do. Haha... like really long. I walked away and folded the towels in the dryer. I needed a minute to focus on something else. When I came back I had the idea to color the daisies with a touch a blue but keep them mostly white. I really like how they turned out. There's also the tiniest hint of yellow in the center and green on the stems. Copic Markers used: C0, C2, B000, B00, B02, Y000, G000.

I stamped the daisies again on another piece of white card stock and ink smooshed them with the same two red distress inks. I die cut them with the largest die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. I fussy cut the colored daisies on the line and colored the edges with a black marker. And then I paper pieced them onto the ink smooshed circle. The ink smooshed layers needed something in between to break them up so I die cut a circle of the light blue card stock using a slightly larger circle die from my stash. I cut a banner from the light blue card stock and then fussy cut the sentiment and adhered them onto the circle and then I popped up the whole thing on the card with foam tape.

Here's a look at the Background of the Month membership stamps. This fabulous stamp is also available as a one-time purchase if you're not interested in the monthly membership

That's it for me today! I hope you've been INKspired to play with your membership stamps!
Have a fabulous day!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 45 ~ A Cozy Day In ~ Newton's Nook Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing my first card for the new Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 45 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I took advantage of the fab 13 Year Celebration sale over at Newton's Nook Designs and finally added this wonderful stamp to my collection!

The A Cozy Day In stamp was purr-fect for my card today so I inked it up with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it up with the following Copic markers.

Skin: E000, E00, E21
Hair: E21, E33, E35
Top: V000, V12
Jeans: B93, B95
Socks: C0, C2, V12, V15, BG72, BG49
Blanket: V12, V15
Book: E33, E25, BG72, BG49
Kitties: R00, R20, YR20, YR15, YR27
Chair: BG10, BG72, BG49, E33, E59

I paired up this cute stamp with the Coffee House Stories 6x6 Paper Pad. I die cut the hearts and polka dots papers using a die from the Circle Frames Die Set. I also used the same die and a circle die from my stash for the white frame.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 45. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I'm really loving the big circle for this sketch... a great excuse to use big stamps or create a scene with smaller stamps.

I adhered all of my layers to a white A2 top fold card base. I adhered the sentiment to the chair and then popped them both up on the card. I sure hope you can find time to play along with the sketch challenge. Have an INKriffic week!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 44 ~ Membership Wednesday ~ July 2026 KOM Ahead of the Holiday Herd Card 2 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 44 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I just adore The Creepy Peekies stamps from this month's KOM called Ahead of the Holiday Herd.

I stamped the cute mummy from the July 2026 KOM called Ahead of the Holiday Herd on white card stock using Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs. I die cut the mummy using a die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies}. And then I did some coloring with my Copic markers.

Copic markers used:
Mummy: YG00, YG11
Eyes / Cloth: C0, C2
Wall: E04, E39
Grass: YG11, YG03
Ground: YG91, YG67

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 44. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I flipped the sketch to work with the stamp and I added a second sentiment for the circle accent this time.

I paired up the fun mummy with papers from the Spooky Days {paper pack}. I used the measurements from the sketch for my background layers. Oops! I omitted the 1/8" strip. I cut it but I guess I forgot to adhere it to the card. Haha. The happy Halloween sentiment is from the Little Boos stamps.

All of the layers are adhered directly to a white A2 top fold card base. I adhered the mummy layer to a black scalloped mat that I die cut using a die from the same die set. I adhered the sentiments to the square focal image and popped them all up with foam tape finishing off the card.

Here's a look at the Kit of the Month membership stamps. A full 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of fabulous red rubber stamps!!

Don't want the whole kit... these cute stamps are also available separately in The Creepy Peekies stamps.

That's it for me today! I hope you've been INKspired to play with your membership stamps! And if you're inspired to play along with the TOPII Sketch 44, I sure hope you'll enter your card into the challenge album. Have a fantastic day!

Hello there crafty friend!

I stamped the cute kitty from the July 2026 KOM called Ahead of the Holiday Herd on white card stock using Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs. I die cut the cat using a die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies}. And then I did some coloring with my Copic markers.

Copic markers used:
Cat: C0, C2

Nose: R00, R20
Towel: Y11, Y15, Y38
Robe: Y11, Y15, Y38, RV10, RV02

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 44. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. My focal image is much bigger this time but I think the sketch is still apparent in my design.

I paired up the cute kitty, also available separately in the Self Care Satire stamps, with the Fabulous Enough {paper pack}. I used the measurements from the sketch for my background layers. And trimmed a 1/8" strip of black card stock to cover the line where the papers meet. The cute heart is die cut from one of the pattern papers in the pack using a die from the Dashes and Frills Hearts {die set}.

All of the layers are adhered directly to a white A2 top fold card base except for the sentiment and the heart. I popped those up with foam tape.

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 44 ~ Daisy Boo-Ho ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing my first card for the new Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 44 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. Apparently, summer-ween is a thing... I had no idea, but if it includes Halloween, I'm in!!

I inked up the adorable ghost from Daisy Boo-Ho. So cute and I especially love the ladybug and daisies. Daisies are my favorite flower! I die cut the ghost using a die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies}. I colored it up with the following Copic markers.

Ghost: C0, C2
Daisies: RV10, RV02, Y11, Y21
Leaves / Grass: YG00, YG11
Ladybug: RV10, R22
Sky: B0000

I paired up the cute ghost with the Pink-A-Boo {paper pack}. Pink for Halloween? YES!! I love these papers and I think this is the first time I've actually used them. For shame! I cut my ghost papers a little wider than the sketch called for... I think it's 1" wide. And then the pretty heart accent was die cut using a die from the Dashes and Frills Hearts {die set}. I considered die cutting a mat but instead I just colored the edges of the heart with a black marker. It helps give definition to the edge with out making it any bigger.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 44. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I love all of the elements to this sketch... lots of options for the background. And then a cluster for the focal with a sentiment and circle {or any shape} accent. I can't wait to see what everyone does with this sketch! Yay!

I adhered the sentiment and heart to the square focal image and then popped up the whole cluster with foam tape to finish it off. I sure hope you can find time to play along with the sketch challenge. Have an INKriffic week!

Made with Love ~ Just Fur You ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a sweet love card with a new cute stamp from Unity called Just Fur You.

These two critters are just THE cutest! These cuties are currently only available free with a $125 purchase. I colored them up with some Copic markers and die cut them using a die from the Dashes and Frills Hearts Die Set. I also die cut my mat using a die from the same set. And I die cut the sentiment using a die from the Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies.

Copic markers used:
Dog: N0, N1, N3, N5, R00, R20
Dog Collar: BG000, BG93, BG72, Y15
Cat: YR20, YR15, YR27, R00, R20
Sky: B0000
Ground: BG000, BG93, BG72

My card today was inspired by one of the past {BYSHC} sketches. Sketch 29 is easily one of my faves. And I was happy to see that it worked with the dies I used.

I used the beautiful Cozy Cup Cafe {paper pack} for all of my layers. So fun! I die cut the middle layers using dies from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. I cut the smaller panel into four triangles and then adhered the triangles closer to the stitches on the scalloped panel so the background paper would show through a bit more.

I adhered the card front to a white A2 top fold card base. And then I popped up the focal heart critters and sentiment using a bunch of foam tape. So cute!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 39 ~ The Softest Thoughts ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing more inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 39 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. Four adorable Valentine's I made for my kids.

I am loving this sketch for my longer scraps. They weren't all long enough to go across the A2 card so I added a 4 x 5-1/4" layer. These scraps are all from the Enveloped in Love {paper pack}. It pairs up nicely with Kraft card stock for a vintage vibe.

I stamped the bunny and sentiment from The Softest Thoughts 4 times each on a full sheet of white card stock. Unfortunately, this one didn't have enough room to die cut it with a circle die but the square worked so I went with it. I used a die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies}. I was in a bit of a rush to mail this one to my son at Tech School for the Air Force so his also didn't get the distressed edges.

So the next three cards are pretty much identical. I didn't use green scraps on these ones so I colored the bunnies sweater and hat with a soft pink. All of the bunnies were die cut using a die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 39. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I used five or six scraps for each of the cards alternating the colors or patterns so it was pleasing to the eye.

Copic Markers used:
Bunnies: C0, C2, R00, R20
Green Hat & Sweater: G000, YG91, YG93, YG95, C0, C2
Pink Hat & Sweater: R00, R20, C0, C2
Hearts: R20, R14, R27
Ground: E000, E11

I adhered all of the layers directly to the Kraft card bases. All except the sentiments which I popped up with foam tape. So glad I got to use up some more scraps. I hope you can find time to play along. I can't wait to see what you create. Have an INKredible week!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 39 ~ Make It Iced, Please ~ Not 2 Shabby

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing another card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 39 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. A quick coffee card for today.

I used some pretty scraps from the retired Make It Iced, Please 6x6 Paper Pad from Not 2 Shabby to make my background for the card. It's been so cold... these bright and sunny colors are just bringing some warmth.

I combined three pieces of ephemera from the coordinating {and also retired} Make It Iced, Please Ephemera from Not 2 Shabby for my focal image for this card. I cut an edge on the circle ephemera for that edge in the sketch and grounded my other pieces of ephemera on the line.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 39. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I used long paper scraps for this sketch... no measuring needed.

The sweet sentiment is from the retired Cup of Love stamps from Unity. I love how quick this card came together. And I got to use up some scraps too. I hope you can find time to play along. I can't wait to see what you create. Have an INKredible week!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 39 ~ Hop to My Heart ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I hope you're having a wonderful week so far! Today I'm sharing my first card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 39 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I'm in the midst of a cardmaking hiatus... needed some time to revive the mojo and for my family. BUT I still wanted to keep the sketch challenges going so I'm sharing a little inspiration for the new sketch.

I adore this sweet new bunny from the Hop to My Heart stamps from Unity. It's just too cute and adorably sweet! I stamped it with Black Amalgam ink and colored it up with Copic Markers. I also stamped the image over a piece of pattern paper and fussy cut the heart to paper piece onto this cute bunny.

Here's a quick list of the Copics I used:
Bunny: C0, C2, RV10, RV02, RV14
Hearts: RV10, RV02, RV14
Grass / Stems: G000, G82
Flower: Y38
Shading on paper pieced heart: RV000, RV10

I die cut the cute bunny using the Oval Frames dies from Newton's Nook Designs. And then I chopped off the bottom portion of the oval just under the grass line of the image. And I distressed the edges with the residual ink on my brown blending brush. My paper scraps are from the beautiful Enveloped in Love {paper pack}. I LOVE these papers!! And boy do I have a bunch of scraps!

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 39. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I am a HUGE fan of using up scraps so I like to occasionally throw in fun sketches just for that purpose. This one is great for those long strips of pattern paper.

I trimmed the sentiment and adhered it to the top of the oval and then I added foam tape to the back of both pieces and popped them up on the card. Lots of possibilities with this fun sketch! I sure hope you can find time to play along. I can't wait to see what you create. Have an INKredible week!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 38 ~ Say Cheese Classic Mouse Christmas ~ Simple Stories

 Hello there crafty friend!
I hope you're having a great day! Today I'm sharing my first card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 38 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I can't believe that we are on the final sketch challenge for 2025!! This year has flown by!!

I decided to make a quick card today. I just got some fun new goodies from Simple Stories called Say Cheese Classic Mouse Christmas Collection. I couldn't wait to play!!

I used the Say Cheese Classic Mouse Christmas 6x8 paper pad for my background layers. I adhered them to a card base of Aqua Mist card stock from Papertrey Ink. It's not a perfect match but in person it looks great. The cute postage stamp pieces are from the Big Bits package. I popped up Minnie with foam tape. The sentiment and the little circle I tucked under Mickey came from the 12x12 Card Stock Stickers. And then the cute decorative brads are from the Self Adhesive Decorative Brads.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 38. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I used the measurements for my layers on my card.

Lots of possibilities with this fun sketch! And it'll work great for scraps too. I hope you can find time to play along. I can't wait to see what you create. Have an INKredible week!
