Sweet Mini Slimline ~ Winnie The Pooh: I Think It's Called Love ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a cute mini slimline card with an adorable new release from Unity Stamp Co. called Winnie the Pooh: I Think It's Called Love. I can't get enough of the Winnie the Pooh stamps from Unity! If you haven't already stopped by the Unity website to see the latest additions to the Winnie the Pooh line of stamps, you really should go and check them out!!

Isn't this adorable trio just the sweetest stamp ever!! I love them! And I thought rather than coloring them up with Copics I'd play with my ZIG Clean Color Real Brush watercolor markers. I forgot how fun they were to blend with!

I used the following ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers to color up this adorable trio:

Pooh ~ 050 Yellow, 052 Bright Yellow
Piglet ~ 026 Light Pink, 021 Light Carmine, 025 Pink
Eeyore ~ 036 Light Blue, 034 Dull Blue, 082 Purple, 028 Pale Pink, 071 Flesh Colour
Grass ~ 053 Yellow Green, 041 Light Green, 047 May Green
Flowers ~ 083 Lilac, 031 Cobalt Blue, 052 Bright Yellow

I paired up this cute colored image with the Cute & Crafty paper pad from Doodlebug Design. The colors in the papers wee just perfect for this image... though my pictures don't do it justice. In person, they really do coordinate well. I went with a 6-1/2 x 3-1/2" mini slimline so my card base measures 6-1/2 x 7"; scored at 3-1/2".

I cut my plaid pattern paper to 6 x 3-1/2" and then cut it in half to use on either side of the card base for my background. I cut a strip of scrap card stock to adhere in the middle of those pieces and then I adhered my 3/4 x 3-1/2" piece of pretty floral paper on top. I die cut my colored trio with the Big Little Chain Mini Slimline die from Gina Marie Designs leaving lots of white space on the left side.

I stamped and trimmed the sentiment and adhered it underneath the trio and then I sat looking at my card for a bit trying to decide what to do with the left side. LOL! I started looking through my dies and found the Stitched Beautiful Bows dies from My Favorite Things. How stinking cute is that bow!! It was so easy to make, too. I sure love how this card turned out! I hope you like it, too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

TOP Inky Inspiration Sketch 2 ~ Cuddlebug Bat with Resolutions ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm excited to share a new sketch today... TOP Inky Inspiration Sketch 2!! This is a very simple sketch that came in handy for me when I got stuck in the middle of making my daughter's birthday card. She asked me for a 'bat' themed birthday card this year and the adorable Cuddlebug Bat from Unity popped in my mind immediately but that's as far as I got for a good long while!!

This design came to mind while drifting off to sleep one night... I remembered the quick and cute card that I made using the January 2022 Whit Kit with the adorable balloon! I thought a similar design would work great just adding in the bat holding the balloon!

Here's a look at the new sketch!! Very simple... and so easy to change it up to make it work for so many different cards! I'm excited to play around with it for the month of July.

Of course, I just had to use the fabulous Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} for my layers. I stamped the cute stars on Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink with Mustard Seed, Wilted Violet and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks. I die cut it with the largest stitched rectangle die from the die set. I also die cut a piece of Amethyst Allure card stock from Papertrey Ink with the largest stitched scalloped die. I mat the layers with a card front of Tropical Teal card stock, also from Papertrey Ink measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I adhered the layers to a white A2 top fold card base.

I set that aside and inked up the adorable Cuddlebug Bat stamp with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs. I colored up this cutie with the following Copic markers:

Bat ~ V0000, V000, V12, V15, V17
Hearts ~ R20, R14, R27
Stars & Moon ~ Y11, Y06, Y15
Grounding ~ N0, N1

Once I was done coloring, I fussy cut the bat leaving a skinny white border except around the stars, moon and heart. I didn't want to cut off the 'shine' lines. I set the bat aside and grabbed the Resolutions stamp kit from the January 2022 Whit Kit. I inked up the balloon with the Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink... wiping away the ink on the string... and then stamped it a couple times repeating the steps. And then I did the same for the string but with Black Amalgam ink. I think it ties all the colors together very nicely!

I'd love to invite you to join the Tawny Owl Paperie | Inky Inspiration Facebook group... it's a fun little group that I just started back up. I hope that you'll join us and play along with the July sketch! The sketch is just for fun... no prizes or anything yet. Just a fun way to get our mojos working when we get a little stuck or in a slump. Hope to see you there!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Membership Monday ~ Good Things Tulips ~ June 2022 UU All Good Things ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back for one more Membership Monday post for the month of June and this time I'm sharing a cute mini slimline featuring the gorgeous tulip stamp in the June 2022 Uniquely Unity All Good Things stamp kit from Unity Stamp Co. I have been impatiently waiting to ink up this gorgeous stamp... I love it so much! The detailed lines in the leaves and tulips are amazing and then the lines in the background add depth and dimension to the flowers. So gorgeous!

I stamped the beautiful tulips on Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink with Gina K. Design Black Amalgam ink. I die cut the image with a Scalloped Stitched Mini Slimline die from Gina Marie Designs.

I colored up the beautiful image with the following Copic markers:

Tulips ~ V91, V20, V22, V25
Leaves ~ YG11, YG05, YG17
Background ~ B0000, B00

I was super excited to get to attend a wonderful Unity Lovers gathering in Missouri on Friday... so many wonderfully talented ladies!! Lots of chatting, eating and even some inky time! It was a blast! We also had a fun gift exchange and I kept the wrapping paper and ribbon from my gift... well, I couldn't help but use some of the pretty mesh ribbon on my card today! I wrapped it around my 6 x 3" mini slimline card front of Winter Wisteria card stock from Papertrey Ink. I adhered it to the back of my card front with Ranger Multi Medium Matte. It was pretty bulky so I set a few heavy books on top of my card to give the adhesive some time to cure. I also used the Multi Medium Matte to secure the card front to the mini slimline card base measuring 6 x 6", scored at 3". I set those heavy books right back on top of it for a bit to let the adhesive cure and then I took it out to get some photos. I'll leave it under the pile of books over night to ensure that it's good and stuck!

I stamped the sentiment with the same Black Amalgam ink and trimmed it up. It's a pretty big sentiment and I didn't want to cover up too much of the tulips so I cut the one side at an angle. I just love how this card turned out!

I just love this gorgeous stamp! So awesome! You can check out the Uniquely Unity membership over at Unity Stamp Co. Next Monday is Fourth of July so I'm not sure if I'll be able to share a card just yet... but I'll try to! I have no idea what membership it'll be either... a surprise for the both of us! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 23 ~ Christmas Dance ~ Lili of the Valley Digi Shop

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my weekly Christmas card and oh my goodness it's been so hot here in Southern Missouri... I couldn't wait to make a Christmas card and dream of some cooler weather. I am not made for these hot humid days! Anywho... not too long ago, Cathy, one of my sweet Design Team members for {BYSHC} enabled us with a wonderful sale on Lili of the Valley digital stamps and I just had to get a few. And yes, they were all Christmas... I can't help myself! I love Christmas! So I couldn't wait to use one of these cuties for my card this week using the {BYSHC} Sketch 23!

Isn't she just a doll!?! Oh my cuteness!! I love her! This sweet digital stamp is called Christmas Dance and as I mentioned above she's from Lili of the Valley Digi Shop. I resized her in a Word document and then printed her off.

I wanted really bright and fun colors so I looked through my stash and found the Christmas Magic 6 x 6" paper pad from Doodlebug Design with this beautiful rainbow of colors! With these colors in mind I colored up this cutie and then I fussy cut her leaving a very skinny white border. I also fussy cut a few of the stars that were around her using a Memento Tuxedo black marker to color up the edges of the fussy cut stars making them all neat and tidy.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, E04
Hair ~ E41, E43, E44, E49
Jacket ~ C00, C2, C3, BG000, BG11, BG23
Skirt ~ R20, R14, R27, RV10, RV21
Tights ~ C00, C2, BG11, BG23, RV10, RV21
Shoes ~ BG000, BG11, BG23, Y11, Y06, Y15
Stars ~ Y11, Y06, Y15
Snow ~ C00, C2, C3

I die cut the pretty yellow star paper with the largest stitched scallop die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Unity. I adhered it to the pretty plaid rainbow background measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I cut a couple banners from the pattern paper scraps and adhered those just under the stitches. I adhered the sweet Christmas Dance girl and the stars. And then I stamped a sweet sentiment that I found from an Itty Bitty stamp called Sweet Christmas Wishes from Unity. I trimmed up the sentiment and adhered it directly to the card. No foam tape or popping up for this card. I just love how this turned out! Too cute!

Here's another look at this month's {BYSHC} Sketch 23! I hope you've found some inspiration for the sketch or maybe just been inspired to make a Christmas card. If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration for this sketch, the design team is sharing a whole bunch of wonderful inspiration over on the  {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! I'll be back next week with my first card card for {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 24!! I can't believe it's almost July! Wow! Anywho... have a great weekend!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Listen to Your Heart ~ June 2022 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
As promised, I'm back with another card using the beautiful June 2022 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co. I felt like the square featured in the floral stamp needed a square card base so I went with it!

I wanted some of the pattern paper to show under the focal piece so I went with a 5 x 5" card.

The panel on the left measures 2 x 4-1/4" with a black mat measuring 2-1/4 x 4-1/2".

I fussy cut around the floral image leaving a bit of a white border. And I popped it up on the card with foam tape.

I added a touch of the Golden Sunset Glitter Nuvo drops to the center of the daisies after I colored them. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Daisies ~ C00, C2, Y11, Y15
Yellow Flowers ~ Y11, Y15
Purple Flowers ~ BV0000, BV01, BV02
Leaves & Stems ~ YG91, YG95, YG97

Here's a look at the beautiful card kit for the month of June! Be sure to check out the Whit Kit membership at Unity... there's still time to sign up for this kit!! If you already have the kit, I hope you share your creations in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group! I'd love to see what you create!

Collaboration with Fresh and Renewed with Teresa | TOP Inky Inspiration Sketch 1 | Winnie the Pooh Card

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm so excited to be doing a collaboration with my sweet friend Teresa from Fresh and Renewed with Teresa. So I recently started sharing sketches in my Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group... well, I've shared one so far. LOL! Teresa and I both love sketches so I thought it would be fun for us to do a little collab and share a card using the sketch.

I've been absolutely loving the new line of Winnie the Pooh stamps that Unity Stamp Co. has been releasing so it was a no brainer to use one of these cuties for my card.

I chose the Pooh Just Knew stamps and coordinating dies... I had planned on keeping 100% true to the sketch but I had the idea to have Pooh bear and Piglet flying over the awesome Hundred Acre Wood background stamp.

And I didn't want to cover up that sweet background... so classic and adorable Winnie the Pooh! I used Salvaged Patina, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks to ink smoosh my background and then I stamped the adorable background with Ranger Jet Black Archival ink.

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used:

Winnie the Pooh ~ Y11, Y15
Piglet ~ RV0000, RV10, RV21, RV14
Balloon ~ R000, RV0000, RV10, R20, R14, R27, Colorless Blender

If you're interested in seeing my process video you can check it out here... Collaboration with Fresh and Renewed with Teresa | TOP Inky Inspiration Sketch 1 | Winnie the Pooh.

Here's a look at the sketch... my background follows the sketch completely but I flipped the banner to the other side to use with my sentiment and I used the die cut Winnie the Pooh in place of the rectangle focal piece. My motto for sketches is always that they should inspire, not require! I think my card is a good example of that motto.

I popped up Winnie the Pooh and Piglet with lots of foam tape! I also popped up the sentiment with foam tape. It adds a nice bit of dimension to the card. Well, that's it for me. I hope you'll consider joining the fun in my Tawny Owl Paperie Facebook group. I just started sharing sketches but I also share tips for card making and eventually I hope to start doing live videos in the group too. Have a great inky day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Membership Monday ~ Don't Forget to Fly ~ June 2022 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a card using the beautiful June 2022 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co. Another fabulous kit with a gorgeous floral stamp!! I love it! Daisies have always been my favorite flower so having daisies in these last two kits has been so awesome!

I created a very simple background for my focal piece by adhering a darker pattern paper to the lighter pattern paper at a diagonal... carrying the eye across the card. I also used one of my favorite tricks for a faux mat... I cut two strips of black card stock and adhered them to either side of the darker pattern paper. This gives the appearance of a mat but without the extra layer on the card.

I fussy cut around the copic colored image and popped it up on the card with a whole bunch of foam tape. The sentiment is from the Tim Holtz Metallic Stickers that are included in the card kit. Super handy for a quick sentiment on your card!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used for this card:

Daisies ~ C00, C2, Y11, Y15
Pink & White Flowers ~ RV10, R81, R83, C00
Pink & Purple Flowers ~ RV10, R81, R83, BV0000
Yellow Flowers ~ Y11, Y15
Purple Flowers ~ BV0000, BV02
Leaves & Stems ~ YG91, YG95, YG97

I have a video sharing my copic coloring and assembling of this card. You can check that out here... Don't Forget to Fly | June 2022 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.

Here's a look at the beautiful card kit for the month of June! Be sure to check out the Whit Kit membership at Unity... there's still time to sign up for this kit!! If you already have the kit, I hope you share your creations in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group! I'd love to see what you create! I'll be back on Wednesday with one more card using this fantastic kit. *I've had something come up... I'll share my second Whit Kit card on Thursday*

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 23 ~ Curvy Girl with Holiday Gifts ~ Stamping Bella

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my weekly Christmas card using the {BYSHC} Sketch 23 from Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers and this week I was excited to finally ink up the beautiful Curvy Girl with Holiday Gifts from Stamping Bella!! Love this big beautiful stamp and she's been just sitting on my desk waiting to get inked up!

For this card I used pattern paper for all my layers. I used the Christmas in the Village Collection 6 x 6 paper pad from Bo Bunny. I meant to pick out my papers before coloring but then I forgot to so once I was done coloring I started looking through my paper stash and was so excited to find these papers that have all the colors I used in my coloring! SO lucky!! I chose complimentary papers from the pack for each layer and even went with the white pattern paper as my top layer. I love the soft print in the background... it just works so well with this beautiful image!

This beautiful girl was a dream to color up! So fun... I really enjoyed it!
Here's my list of Copic markers for coloring up this image:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, E04
Hair ~ E43, E44, E49
Holly & Berries ~ YG11, G24, G46, R20, R14, R27
Dress / Shoes ~ BG000, BG15, BG13, BG18, R20, R14, R27
Polka Dot Gift ~ RV00, RV02, RV06, RV66, Y11, Y06, Y15, Y28
Pink Gifts ~ RV10, RV21, RV14, Y11, Y06, Y15, Y28
Green Gift ~ YG11, G24, G46, R20, R14, R27

The sketch only calls for one layer but I wanted to use both the red and teal papers so I decided to use the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Unity to cut my layers so that I could have some of both papers in my background layers... it really helps to bring the reds and teals from the colored image to the forefront. And then the banner with the ornaments helps to coordinate all the colors together. I added a few enamel dots from the Coffee Enamel Dots from Echo Park Paper Co. to finish off my card. It just worked out perfectly! Love when that happens!

Here's another look at this month's {BYSHC} Sketch 23! I hope you've found some inspiration for the sketch or maybe just been inspired to make a Christmas card. If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration for this sketch, check out the amazing cards from the design team over on the  {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! I'll be back next week with one last Christmas card using this fun sketch!

Membership Monday ~ June 2022 KOM My Heart is With You ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am back with another Membership Monday post and this time I'm featuring the Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Co. called My Heart is With You.  This membership includes a large 8-1/2 x 11" sheet of fabulous red rubber and the stamps are always SO amazing!! Last month's KOM had an amazing door stamp and I made a very simple card with a bit of copic coloring on Kraft. I had a lot of people ask how I copic color on Kraft and I thought the beautiful window in this month's KOM would work great for me to show how I do it.

Before I share my process video though, I thought I'd share a few photos of my card. Isn't that window just beautiful?! I love it with the brick background!!

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used to color up the window:

Shutters ~ R20, R14, R27, R37
Hinges ~ N2, N4, N6
Window Frame ~ E51, E53, E55, E57
Light in Window ~ Y11, Y06

I used the Bricked Layering Stencil from Tim Holtz for my background along with Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide inks. The focal piece was die cut with the largest stitched rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Unity. I have to say these dies are one of my faves now... definitely ones that I reach for most often!

Here's a look at the amazing June 2022 Kit of the Month called My Heart is With You! Isn't it wonderful?!  You can check out the Kit of the Month membership over at Unity Stamp Co. I'll be back next Monday to share a card using the awesome Whit Kit membership from Unity! Hope you have a wonderful week!

Mini Slimline Card ~ Winnie the Pooh: Difficult Days ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a cute mini slimline card with an adorable new release from Unity Stamp Co. called Winnie the Pooh: Difficult Days. Loving the new additions to the Winnie the Pooh stamps from Unity. If you haven't already... stop by the Unity website and check them out!!

I paired up the cute stamps with the My Happy Place paper pack from Doodlebug Design. I thought it complimented the cute flowers in the stamp. Since it's only a 6 x 6" paper pack, I had to split up the paper to fit my card front and decided to use the striped paper in the middle. I think it adds a cute touch to the background.

I die cut the stamped image with the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Mini Slimline dies from Gina Marie Designs. I colored up the image very simply with the following Copic Markers:

Winnie the Pooh ~ Y11, Y15
Piglet ~ RV0000, RV10, RV21, RV14
Butterflies ~ RV21, B000, BG01, Y06, Y15
Flowers ~ Y06, Y15, RV10, RV21, BG10, BG01
Leaves ~ YG11, YG13
Grass ~ YG11, YG17
Outline ~ B0000, B000

I just can't get enough of these cute Winnie the Pooh stamps!! So cute! You can check out my process video here... Mini Slimline Card | Winnie the Pooh: Difficult Days | Unity Stamp Co.

I sure love how this card turned out! I have gotten myself hooked on slimline cards again... but surprisingly the one I'm working on for Monday is not a slimline. I hope you'll drop by for another visit and check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
