Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 45 Continued ~ Ghostly Good Times ~ Newton's Nook Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sneaking in one more card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 45 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I just got the fun Spooky Roundabout Stamp Set from a recent order and wanted to ink it up.

I've also been wanting to ink up the cute ghost kitty from the Ghostly Good Times Stamp Set. I thought it would be fun to pair up with the Spooky Roundabout Stamp Set. I die cut the ghost kitty using the coordinating die from the Ghostly Good Times Die Set.

I die cut the fun roundabout stamp using the largest die from the Circle Frames Die Set. And I paired up the stamps with a neutral pattern paper from the Halloween Meows 6x6 Paper Pad.

Copic Markers used:
Ghosts / Stars: YG00, YG11
Jack-o-lanterns: YR20, YR21, YR15, Y15, E21, E23
Skulls: C0, C2
Bats: V000, V12, V15
Candy Corn: C0, C2, YR20, YR21, YR15, Y11, Y15

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 45. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I've had so much fun with this sketch!

I adhered the sentiment to the circle and then popped up the whole focal image with foam tape. I also popped up the ghost kitty with foam tape for a bit more dimension. The challenge ends today, September 28th. Get your entry in before midnight PDT. Have an INKriffic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Frighteningly Fabulous with Stitches & Attitude ~ Deadpan Devotion ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I had some inky time with a brand new Halloween stamp from Unity's latest release. Two fabulous new kitties from the Deadpan Devotion stamps!! Just PURRfect for Halloween!

I was thinking about pairing up these two together on one card but I couldn't pick a sentiment. So why not make two cards and let each of the kitties shine along with their own sentiment?!

Inspiration for my cards came from an older {BYSHC} Sketch #7. This is one of my favorite sketches. I changed it up a bit moving the sentiment. I didn't want to cover up the kitties.

I inked up the Deadpan Devotion kitties and die cut them using dies from the Make A Tag {die set}. I also die cut black mats using the next largest die. I distressed the edges of the kitty tags using Black Soot Distress Ink after I colored them.

Copic markers used:
Kitty: YG11, YG91, YG63
Hair: C0, C2, V000, V12, V15
Eyes: YG00, YG11, C0, C2
Veil / Dress: C0, C2, C3
Background: YR20, YR15
Ground: C0, C2

I paired up these fun new kitties with the Heebie Jeebies {paper pack}. The papers inspired my colors for the cards. I used the measurements from the sketch for my paper layers and the black mats.

Copic markers used:
Kitty: YG11, YG91, YG63
Hair: C0, C2, C3
Ears: R00, R20
Eyes: YG00, YG11, C0, C2
Bolts: C0, C3
Shirt: YR20, YR15
Bow Tie: V12, V15
Jacket: N1, N3, N5

I die cut the cobweb using a Tim Holtz die from my stash. I cut it in half and added a piece to each card using Bearly Art glue. I popped up the tags on each card and then finished off each card with some black rhinestones. So fun to make a couple more Halloween cards for my stash. I hope you like them.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 45 ~ Hooting Owl ~ Angie Blom Digital Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing more inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 45 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I am so ready for everything Fall... especially the cooler weather! It has been way too hot!

I printed off the adorable Hooting Owl Digital Stamp from Angie Blom Digital Designs. Here's another sweet owl called Love Owl. If you love owls like I do, it's another must have digi stamp! I die cut the sweet owl using a die from Waffle Flower called Nesting Circles Dies. I colored the owl with Copic markers.

Copic markers used:
Owl: C0, C1, C2, C3, C5
Beak / Legs / Feet: YR21, YR15, YR14
Eyes: YG11, YG63, C0, C2
Scarf: W0, W3, Y11, Y15, E21, E23, E25, YR21, YR15, R05, YR68
Branch: E21, E25, E57
Leaves: Y11, Y15, YR21, YR15, E21, E23, E25, YG11, YG63

I paired up the fun owl with the Fall Breeze 6x6 Paper Pad from Photoplay. I've had these papers in my stash for quite some time. It was fun to look through them again. I used the measurements from the sketch for my background layers. The scallop mat was die cut using a die from Spellbinders called Fancy Scallop Edge Circles. No idea if this one is still available anywhere. It's been in my stash for a long time and I think this is the first time I've used it.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 45. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I really like the large circle for the focal image. It keeps the design kind of simple.

I love all the fun layers on this card. I adhered the sentiment to the focal circle and then popped them up with foam tape. I sure hope you can find time to play along with the sketch challenge. Have an INKriffic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing my first card for the new Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 45 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I took advantage of the fab 13 Year Celebration sale over at Newton's Nook Designs and finally added this wonderful stamp to my collection!

The A Cozy Day In stamp was purr-fect for my card today so I inked it up with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it up with the following Copic markers.

Skin: E000, E00, E21
Hair: E21, E33, E35
Top: V000, V12
Jeans: B93, B95
Socks: C0, C2, V12, V15, BG72, BG49
Blanket: V12, V15
Book: E33, E25, BG72, BG49
Kitties: R00, R20, YR20, YR15, YR27
Chair: BG10, BG72, BG49, E33, E59

I paired up this cute stamp with the Coffee House Stories 6x6 Paper Pad. I die cut the hearts and polka dots papers using a die from the Circle Frames Die Set. I also used the same die and a circle die from my stash for the white frame.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 45. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I'm really loving the big circle for this sketch... a great excuse to use big stamps or create a scene with smaller stamps.

I adhered all of my layers to a white A2 top fold card base. I adhered the sentiment to the chair and then popped them both up on the card. I sure hope you can find time to play along with the sketch challenge. Have an INKriffic week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello there crafty friend!
I had some inky time with a brand new Halloween stamp from Unity's latest release. I just had to ink up the kitties with the ghosts... so cute!!

I inked up the Scaredy Cats Club stamp with Black Amalgam ink and colored it up with my Copic markers. I blended some Black Soot Distress ink around the edges of the die cut image to finish it off. I used a die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies} to die cut the cats and ghosts.

Copic Markers used:
Cats: N1, N3, N5, R20
Cats Eyes / Ghosts: C0, C2
Stems / Grass / Sentiment: YG00
Purple Background: V000, V12, V15, V17

I ink smooshed my background panel with Wilted Violet, and Villainous Potion Distress Inks. Once I was happy with my ink smooshing, I blended some Black Soot Distress Ink all over the panel. I die cut the panel using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}.

I adhered the sentiment to the square focal image and then popped them both up with foam tape. So fun to make a Halloween card. I hope you like it.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

{BYSHC} Falling for the Holidays 2025 Linky Party ~ Christmas Kitties ~ Angie Blom Digital Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's day 3 of the {BYSHC} Falling for the Holidays 2025 Linky Party!! I'm excited to share another holiday card that I've made to add to my Christmas stash! This time I played with an awesome digital stamp from our fabulous Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Designs. How cute are these kitties?! I think they're meow-tastic!!

These cuties are from the Christmas Kitties Digi Stamp. I used one of the printable sheets that I normally just print off but this time I was filling my card stock sheet with other digi stamps so I did crop the kitties with the sentiment and move it on the sheet. Once I had all of my digi stamps resized and situated I printed them off on white card stock. I then die cut the kitties using the Postage Stamp Nesting Dies from Sponsor Unity. I wrapped the panel a few times with a pretty twine and tied a little bow.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Orange Kitty: YR20, YR15, R00, R20
Green Hat: C0, C1, YG11, G24, G46
Necklace: R14, R29, C1
Grey Kitty: N2, N4, R00, R20
Hat / Scarf: C0, C1, C3, R20, R14, R29
Snow: C0, C1, C3
Background: B000, B00

I paired up these cuties with the retired Snow Day Remix 6x6 paper pack from Sponsor Lawn Fawn. I love these papers! So bummed they are retired. I adhered the scraps of pattern paper to a white A2 top fold card base creating my festive background.

Inspiration for my card came from one of our past sketches... BYSHC Sketch 26. I love using the past sketches and changing them up a bit to fit my card.

All of my background paper layers are adhered using iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from Sponsor Therm O Web. I added foam tape called iCraft 3D Foam Tape Jumbo Roll (white), also from Therm O Web, to the back of the main panel and popped it up on the card. And then I finished it off with little snowflakes from the Christmas Confetti Clay Embellishment Mix from Sponsor Twiddler's Nook.

If you haven't already, stop by the {BYSHC} Falling for the Holidays 2025 Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! I have so many wonderful ideas for future cards! So inspiring! I hope you have an ink-redible day!

Membership Wednesday ~ December 2024 KOM Chilly Paws & Fresh Start ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a cute birthday card featuring the adorable kitties from the December 2024 Kit of the Month membership from Unity called Chilly Paws & Fresh Start.

These adorable cats are just TOO cute! I stamped them with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs and colored them very simply with Copic markers. I die cut them using a die from the Postage Stamp {nesting dies}.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Black & White Cat: R00, R20, R21, C00, C1
Orange Cat: R00, R20, YR21, YR15, BG10, BG01, Colorless Blender
Gray Cat: R00, R20, N0, N2, N4, Y11, Y15

I paired up the kitties with the Pastel Party Parade {paper pack}. Originally I was going to make a portrait card but I liked the focal image better on the landscape base.

I trimmed up the sentiment and adhered it directly to the card. To add a bit of dimension, I popped up the kitties panel with foam tape. I finished off the card with a handful of the raindrops {today's advent goodie!}. Love how this turned out!

Here's a quick look at this month's Kit of the Month membership! Isn't is wonderful?!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps!
Have an inkredible day!

Inky Paws Challenge #220 ~ Polka Dot Theme Challenge Reminder

Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #220 - Polka Dot Theme Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, April 12th to get your entries in for this fun challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

This has been such a fun theme and just couldn't help but use another brand new paper pad!

The Bright Basics 6x6 Paper Pad is a rainbow of polka dot papers!! I love it! I decided to make a rainbow card using a piece of each of the polka dot papers in my card. I love how it turned out! I die cut the red paper using the largest die from the Frames & Tags Die Set. And then I die cut the orange, yellow, green, and blue papers using the frame die. This die cuts not only the frame but also the window pieces so now I have a bunch of extra pieces that I can use for future cards. To finish off my rainbow of polka dot papers I die cut the purple papers using a stitched circle die from the Circle Frames Die Set.

I paired the polka dot papers with the adorable Newton's Bright Birthday Stamp Set. Loving this cute new stamp set! I stamped the kitties and two party hats on Stampers Select White Card Stock from Papertrey Ink. And colored them up with a bunch of Copic markers. Once I was happy with my coloring, I die cut them using the coordinating dies from the Newton's Bright Birthday Die Set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the pup, shamrock and heart:

Grey Kitty: R00, R20, N0, N1, N3, N5
White Kitty: R00, R20, C00, C1, C3
Orange Kitty: R00, R20, YR21, YR15, YR24, YR27
Extinguisher: R20, R14, N0, N1, N3, N5, Y11, Y15
Birthday Cake: R20, R14, YR21, YR15, Y11, Y15, YG11, YG23, B000, B02, C00, C1, C3
Green Gift: YG11, YG23
Polka Dot Gift: V000, V12, V15, Y11, Y15
Orange Gift: YR21, YR15, YR68
Party Hat {White Cat}: V000, V12, R20, R14, YR21, YR15
Party Hat {Orange Cat}: R20, R14, YR21, YR15, Y11, Y15

I die cut a piece of white card stock using the tag die from the Frames & Tags Die Set. I placed the tag in my Mini Misti and covered the tag with an acetate grid sheet so I could make sure I had the stamp placement correct. Once I was happy with the placement, I removed the acetate grid sheet and stamped the sentiment from the Newton's Bright Birthday Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I popped the tag up on the card using foam tape. You know that lovely twine that comes with every Newton's Nook Designs order? Well, I thought it would be fun to use some on my card. I tied a cute little bow and adhered it to the tag using a mini glue dot.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project with a Polka Dot theme. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Inky Paws Challenge #215 ~ Color Challenge

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new Inky Paws Challenge... a beautiful Color Challenge!
I sure hope that you'll join in the fun and play along with us with your Newton's Nook Designs products! You have until Friday, February 2nd to get your entries in for the #215 Color Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Absolutely gorgeous colors... Pink, Teal, Ice Blue & Cookie Dough Brown!! Love them!

I'm trying to ink up some stamps that I haven't used yet so I thought the Caffeinated Cats Stamp Set would be a cute stamp for this challenge. But I wasn't quite in a mood to color up the whole image so the Spotlight Technique was perfect for this card. I die cut the panel using the large postage stamp die from the Framework Die Set. And die cut a portion of the kitty panel using a stitched circle die from the Circle Frames Die Set. I also die cut a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock from Stampin' Up using the scalloped and stitched circle die also from the die set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used to color up the spotlight circle:

Cookie Dough Brown Cat: RV10, RV13, R00, R20, E30, E31, E33, Colorless Blender
White Cats: RV10, RV13, R00, R20, C00, C1, C3
Cookie Dough Brown & Ice Blue Cups: E30, E31, B000, B00
Ice Blue & Pink Cups: B0000, B000, B00, RV10, RV13
Teal & Pink Cups: BG0000, BG11, BG34, RV10, RV13

I heat embossed the sentiment with my go to combination of products... I applied TE Anti Static Powder to the Coastal Cabana card stock, stamped the sentiment with Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions, added Alabaster White Embossing Powder to the ink from Brutus Monroe and melted the powder with my Wagner Precision Heat Tool. Once the sentiment was cooled I wiped off the excess anti static powder with a microfiber cloth, trimmed up the sentiment and popped it {and the spotlight circle} up on the card using Scrapbook Adhesive Crafty Foam Tape.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the color combo of Pink, Teal, Ice Blue & Cookie Dough Brown. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
