Membership Wednesday ~ September 2025 KOM Harvest to Holiday ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a quick Fall card featuring the gorgeous HUGE pumpkin from the September 2025 Kit of the Month membership called Harvest to Holiday from Unity Stamp Co.

I stamped the script sentiment included in the kit several times on the left side of a piece of Kraft card stock. I then stamped the the pumpkin and the 'Fall Blessings' sentiment. I trimmed the panel to 4-1/2 x 4-1/2".

I ink smooshed the panel keeping the top right corner mostly free of ink. I used Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin, Abandoned Coral, and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks. Once I was happy with the ink smooshing, I dried the panel with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. I colored the stem with a few Copic markers: E11, E25, E18.

I roughed up the edges of the Kraft layer with a Distress Tool from Tim Holtz. I adhered the panel to a 4-5/8" squared piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock from Stampin' Up. The script on the left side needed something to break it up so I wrapped the panel three times with natural May Arts Burlap String and tied a bow. I covered the back of the panel with foam tape leaving a space for the string and popped it up on a 5" squared piece of Early Espresso card stock, also from SU. The panel is adhered to a 10 x 5" Kraft card base that's scored at 5". I finished off the card with a few enamel dots from my stash.

Here's a quick look at this month's Kit of the Month membership!

Another option is to get this kit separately here... Pumpkin Hearth.

That's it for me today! I hope you've been INKspired to play with your membership stamps! Have a fab day!

One Of A Kind ~ One Of A Kind Big Kit ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a sweet card featuring one of the cuties from the One of a Kind Big Kit from The Greeting Farm! How stinkin' cute is this sweet bean dressed up as an owl?! Love her! It's not currently available in the store but you can always request it in the Farmers Market

I heat embossed the cute little flower with white pigment ink and white embossing powder on white card stock. And then I did a bit of ink smooshing and blending with Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, and Festive Berries Distress Ink on a white card front.

I inked up the owl bean and another flower with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers. I fussy cut her on the line and then I used a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to color the edges of my fussy cutting. This makes the cutting look nice and neat.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: Y11, E43, E44
Owl: W0, W2, W3, W5
Owl Beak: YR20, YR15, YR27, N2, N4
Owl Eyes: YG00, YG21, YG11
Flower: RV10, RV02, Y11, Y15

I die cut the ink smooshed panel with a pretty rectangle die from Poppy Stamps called Double Stitch Scalloped Rectangle Frames. I masked the top portion of the sentiment because it wouldn't all fit and then I stamped the sentiment with the Festive Berries Distress Ink.

I popped up the cutie bean with foam tape. I hope I've inspired you to get inky! Have a wonderful day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Frightfully Good Birthday ~ Holidays Are a Nightmare ~ Kindred Stamps

Hello there crafty friend!
I was asked to make a custom birthday card with a Nightmare Before Christmas theme. I adore Nightmare Before Christmas so this was not a hard task and I had just the stamp set to use. I used the retired Holidays Are a Nightmare stamp set from Kindred Stamps.

I started with my background. I knew that I wanted a black and white card... almost grayscale actually. So I ink smooshed a piece of white card stock with Black Soot Distress Ink. To tame down some of the white in the background I decided to scrape my ink pad across the panel. I did this from both directions all the way across the panel. I really like the added texture it gives to the background. I trimmed it down and adhered it to a black A2 top fold card.

I wanted to include the hill so I roughly drew it with pencil on black card stock and cut it out. I die cut a frame for my little scene using two nesting dies. I wanted a simple moon so I just die cut two circles. If I made this again, I'd probably do with out the mat for the moon. I thought it would make the moon stand out a bit more but I don't think it was completely necessary. I added some splatters to the moon and adhered the hill and moon to the frame.

I stamped the fun characters from Holidays Are a Nightmare and colored them with just a few Copic markers: N0, N2, N4. I fussy cut them on the line and colored the edges with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. TIP: Be sure to color the edges with a brush tip and do it from the back of the image just in case your marker slips. I adhered Sally and Jack to the card and then popped up Zero with foam tape.

The sentiment was fun to put together for a birthday card. I masked the 'Have a Frightfully Good Holiday Season' by covering 'Holiday Season' with a post-it note when I inked up the stamp. I removed the post-it note and stamped. This took a few times to get a nice crisp sentiment but it was worth it. I die cut birthday two times using the retired Chic Script Salutations {die set} from Unity. I die cut the shadow from white card stock so the sentiment would pop. I added foam tape to the back of the sentiment and popped them up. Such a fun card to make! If you need a custom card made, let me know!

Have a Spooky Day ~ Ghastly Gourds ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
So glad you've stopped by my blog! Today I'm sharing a fun card I made using the cool new Ghastly Gourds stamps from Unity.

I love this background! So perfect for Halloween! I had a little fun with my background. I ink smooshed a piece of Kraft card stock with Carved Pumpkin and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. And then I scraped the panel with the same two ink pads. I love the layers of ink and the texture in the background from the ink smooshing. Once I was happy with the colors in the background, I stamped the Ghastly Gourds with Black Amalgam ink. I die cut the panel using the largest die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Die Set.

I wanted to bring the focus to one cute pumpkin so I colored it with a handful of Copic markers: YR15, YR68, YR27, and E29. And then I die cut a piece of Dark Chocolate card stock from Papertrey Ink using two dies from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies} basically cutting out a frame. I adhered the frame around the pumpkin.

I wrapped the panel several times with burlap string and tied a bow. Adhered all of my layers to an A2 top fold card base of Dark Chocolate card stock. I chose a fun sentiment from the Witch Way stamps. I stamped it with Black Amalgam ink on Kraft card stock and then I blended just a bit of the two distress inks again.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a really quick card featuring a really cute stamp from the July 2025 Kit of the Month membership from Unity called Feelin' Fall the Things. Love the mix of stamps in this month's kit!

I wanted to do a CAS design but with a bit of dimension. I ink smooshed a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" card front of white card stock with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink leaving a good amount of white space. I trimmed the panel down to 4 x 5-1/4" and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base. I die cut another panel of white card stock with the Stitched Hillside Borders from Lawn Fawn.

I stamped the adorable bird with Black Amalgam ink and colored it up with Copic markers. I fussy cut it leaving a white border and popped it up on the card with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment in the corner to finish this card.

Copic Markers Used
Bird: V000, V12, V15, Y11, Y15

Healing Takes Time ~ Drift & Remember ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
So glad you've stopped by my blog! Today I'm sharing a couple of quick cards I made using the gorgeous new Drift & Remember stamps from Unity.

This gorgeous new dragonfly stamp is huge! I love it!

I stamped the dragonfly on two card fronts measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" and die cut them using the stitched die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. I then colored them up very simply with a couple of Copic markers. For my first card I used: BG000, BG01, BG72, Y11, C0, C2.

I added a touch of Sakura white gelly roll pen to the eyes. I stamped the sentiments and die cut them using a die from the Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies.

For my second card I used the following Copic markers: RV10, RV02, Y11, C0, C2. I ink smooshed the colored dragonflies with a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Ink and added a bit of spatters too.

I adhered my layers to two Kraft A2 top fold card bases. Super quick cards and ready to mail out to two friends that recently had surgery.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Jingle All the Way ~ Minkie Jingle ~ The Greeting Farm

Happy Christmas in July crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing some fun holiday inspiration with a fab mix of clear stamps and digital stamps from The Greeting Farm. The adorable Minkies are putting on a Christmas play and everyone's invited!

This was such a fun card to design. I stamped the adorable Minkies from the Minkie Jingle stamp set and a couple Minkies from the Minkie Christmas stamp set. I colored them up with Copic markers, fussy cut them all on the line, and colored the edges of the fussy cutting with a black marker. While I was fussy cutting, I also cut out the windows on the bus. I wanted some of the background to show through.

I created a fun stage for this production using the table from the Build a Craft Room digi stamp set and the trees from the Happy Winter digi stamp set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: Y11, E21, E23
Mouths: R000, R20
Black: N2, N4, N6
Red: R20, R14, R27
Green: YG11, G24, G46
Brown: E21, E23, E25, E57, E29
White: C00, C2
Bus: BG000, BG01, BG72, C00, C2
Star: Y11, Y08
Reindeer Bell: Y08, Y28
Stage: E21, E23, E25, N2, N4, N6

I ink smooshed a fun background using Frayed Burlap and Stormy Sky Distress Inks and then I blended Chipped Sapphire over portions of the panel and Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges. I dried the background with a heat tool and spattered it with white acrylic paint. Once the spatters were dry, I trimmed the panel to 6-3/8 x 4-3/8" and adhered it to a 7 x 5" card base of black card stock.

I'm playing along with the Christmas in July 2025 {BYSHC} Linky Party and I'm so happy that The Greeting Farm has joined us for this event as one of our fabulous Sponsors! Today is the last day to participate so grab your Christmas or wintry stamps and papers and create a brand new card or tag (or any paper project really) to enter in the fun. The linky party closes at 11:59pm PDT. You can check it out at the link above.

I stamped the sentiment, trimmed it, and adhered it to the card. I wrapped the tree with a bit of burlap string for a bit of texture. I had a blast making this card! I hope I've inspired you to get inky!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

~ Friends of Unity July 2025 Blog Hop ~

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for our Friends of Unity Blog Hop!! This month's cue is a lot of fun!

I love getting inky with a fun mixed media card. I did struggle a bit getting going with these but once I did some ink smooshing I was on a roll! I can't be the only one who finds ink smooshing so relaxing. I love it! It makes a bad day so much better.

I ink smooshed my background for this one using Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink leaving a good amount of white space. I added a little bit of Squeezed Lemonade but it's really not noticeable. I partially inked up A Faithful Letter background stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The pretty little butterflies are from the retired {...With Her Own Wings}. I just inked up a handful of the butterflies for the corners. I die cut the background using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} and then I adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base. I finished off the background with some black acrylic paint spatters.

The butterflies are from the Paper Wings stamps. I colored them with Copic markers and fussy cut them on the line except around the antennae where I left a white border. The butterflies are adhered to the card on their bodies and antennae. I folded up the wings for some dimension. The sentiment is from the Extended Celebration stamps. I trimmed it and adhered it to the card. I finished off the card with a few pearl embellishments I think I got from a Unity order.

My second card also has some ink smooshing. Ink smooshing is my go-to mixed media technique. This time I used Twisted Citron and Wild Honey Distress Inks. I wanted to use colors that I normally wouldn't put together. For some reason these colors made me want to work with a chicken stamp so I grabbed the fun new Still Peckin' Fabulous

And then I stamped the fun Chicken Wire background stamp.... which is retired. Bummer! Maybe you have it in your stash. I stamped it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I also stamped the squiggly lines from the stamps called Never with the same ink. I heat embossed the circle trio with clear embossing ink and Penny embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I love the texture and shine it gives the card.

I stamped the fun chicken and colored it up with Copic markers. I heat embossed the sentiment with a white pigment ink and white embossing powder on a dark brown card stock. I fussy cut the chicken and adhered it to the sentiment and then I added foam tape to the back of both and popped them up on the card. Voila!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Chicken / Eyes: C0, C2, C3
Beak: Y11, YR20, YR15, YR27
Waddle: R20, R14, R27
Hat: YG11, YG03, YG63, B00, B02
Present: YR20, YR15, YR68, B00, B02
Balloon: Y11, YR20, YR15, YR68

Lasting Beauty ~ Nocturnal Nature ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Why make one card when you can make two?! I ink smooshed a quick half sheet of white card stock so I thought... why not make two cards. So I did! I used the gorgeous new Nocturnal Nature for a couple of quick mixed media style cards.

I ink smooshed the half sheet of white card stock using Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Villainous Potion Distress Inks. I was sure to leave some white in the background for contrast.

I stamped the grid and grunge stamps three times on each panel using Black Amalgam ink. I also stamped the sentiments alternating placement on each panel just to change them up a little.

For my first card, I die cut the panel using the second largest die in the Deckle & Stitches Nesting dies. I considered adhering the panel to a black card front but decided to ink smoosh another card front with the same three purples. I added foam tape to the back of my focal panel and adhered it to the card front and then adhered the panel to a white A2 top fold card base.

For my second card, I die cut the panel using the largest die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting dies and adhered it to a black A2 top fold card base. I set aside the cards and stamped the moths. I colored them with just a few Copic markers: YG00, YG11, and YG23.

I fussy cut the moths close to the black line and popped them up on the cards with foam tape. And then I finished them both off with a few glitter enamel dots from my stash. I think these turned out pretty nice.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal
