Membership Wednesday ~ July 2026 BOM Daisy Defined ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a little inspiration for the fun Color Challenge that the Friends of Unity are hosting in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group. Red, White & Blue is the color combo and I wondered how it would look with the fab Background of the Month stamp from Unity!

I started with my background for this one. I debated back and forth and back and forth and just finally went with red only for my background. I felt like if I did blue and red on the background maybe it would be too 4th of July-like. I used Candied Apple and Barn Door Distress Inks for my ink smooshing.

My card design was inspired by TOP Inky Inspiration Sketch 45 that just started yesterday in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I'm having fun with this sketch already!

I adhered the ink smooshed background to a light blue card base. And then I stamped the Daisy Defined background stamp on white card stock with Black Amalgam ink. I looked at it for a really long time trying to decide what to do. Haha... like really long. I walked away and folded the towels in the dryer. I needed a minute to focus on something else. When I came back I had the idea to color the daisies with a touch a blue but keep them mostly white. I really like how they turned out. There's also the tiniest hint of yellow in the center and green on the stems. Copic Markers used: C0, C2, B000, B00, B02, Y000, G000.

I stamped the daisies again on another piece of white card stock and ink smooshed them with the same two red distress inks. I die cut them with the largest die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. I fussy cut the colored daisies on the line and colored the edges with a black marker. And then I paper pieced them onto the ink smooshed circle. The ink smooshed layers needed something in between to break them up so I die cut a circle of the light blue card stock using a slightly larger circle die from my stash. I cut a banner from the light blue card stock and then fussy cut the sentiment and adhered them onto the circle and then I popped up the whole thing on the card with foam tape.

Membership Wednesday ~ May 2026 BOM Open Skies ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! So I couldn't help but ink up the beautiful horse again from this month's Background of the Month membership called Open Skies. You can see my first card using this awesome background here... Sepia Open Skies Card.

I inked up the background from the May 2026 Background of the Month using Black Amalgam ink. I colored it up with Copic markers and die cut the panel for a landscape card with the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. I used a white Prismacolor Pencil to color the little flowers.

I used the largest and second largest rectangle dies together to cut a frame from Lost Lagoon card stock from Stampin' Up. You can see it's laying on the outer edge of the panel. I tore a scrap of pattern paper from the Jubilant Tapestry {paper pack} and adhered it to the inside of the frame and then I adhered the frame to the colored background panel. And then adhered it to the black card front on a white A2 card base. Lots of fun layers for this one!

Copic markers used:
Horse: N0, N1, N3, N5
Fence: E15, E59
Ground: YG00, YG11, YG17, E21, E33
Sky: BG0000, BG000

Here's a look at the Background of the Month stamp. Also available as a 1-Time purchase for those not interested in the monthly membership.

Super Simple Holiday Card ~ October 2025 KOM Frost & Folklore ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Thursday?! Wait... what?! I couldn't help myself! Haha... There are SO many fabulous new stamps in the memberships this month, I just HAD TO play! I was inspired to make a very simple and quick holiday card using the awesome new October 2025 Background of the Month membership called Luminous Night and I paired it up with the beautiful baubles from the October 2025 Kit of the Month, both from Unity.

I stamped the Luminous Night background on white card stock with turquoise ink. And then I stamped the baubles over the background. I also stamped the baubles on a card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" along with the 'noel' sentiment.

I die cut the panel using the second largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. I die cut a piece of turquoise card stock using the largest die from the set. I adhered both to a white A2 top fold card base.

I fussy cut around the baubles and colored the edges with the BG05 Copic marker. I then paper pieced the baubles onto the card base and called this one done. Super quick and easy! It could be embellished with sequins or snowflakes and the baubles could have a touch more color, but I wanted to leave it simple.

Here's a quick look at this month's Kit of the Month membership!

Membership Wednesday ~ September 2025 BOM Merry Multipack ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a fun holiday card featuring the fabulous September 2025 Background of the Month membership called Merry Multipack from Unity Stamp Co. And I paired it up with the fun birds and snowman from the September 2025 Kit of the Month, also from Unity.

You may be thinking... deja vu! And you're right! I shared a card last week with a similar design. I stamped another background only this time I flipped the colors around. I placed the Merry Multipack background stamps in my Stamp Platform and inked up the reindeer and 'ho ho ho' portions of the stamp with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Ink. After getting a nice crisp stamped image for those two sections, I cleaned off the stamps. And then I inked up the candy cane stripes and the plaid with Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink.

I die cut the background using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. And then I adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base. I stamped the cute critters and sentiment with Black Amalgam ink and colored up the critters with Copic markers.

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:
Snowman: C0, C2, R00, R20, YR20, YR15, E21, E23
Chick: Y11, Y35, YR20, YR15
Brown Chicken: E21, E23, E25, YR20, YR15, C0, C2
White Chicken: C0, C2, R20, R14, R27, YR20, YR15
Green Hat & Scarves: YG11, G24, G46, C0, C2
Red Ear Muffs, Scarves & Heart: R20, R14, R27
Ground: C0, C2

I fussy cut around this fun image leaving a white border and adhered it to the card along the edge of the scallops where the stitches are. It kind looks like they're all popping in from the card. I trimmed up the sentiment and popped it up on the card with foam tape.

Here's a quick look at this month's Background of the Month membership!

Membership Wednesday ~ July 2025 BOM Sunny Side Up ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a fun card using the spotlight technique featuring the awesome Sunny Side Up background stamp from the July 2025 Background of the Month membership.

Usually I color the spotlight when I do this technique, but this time I wanted to change things up and spotlight just the stamp in black and white.

I die cut the one flower using a die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} and then colored the background using a handful of Copic markers. I used B000, BV00, BV02, Y11, Y15.

I die cut the panel using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base. I popped up the spotlight circle using foam tape and then I trimmed the sentiment from the July 2025 Kit of the Month and adhered it across the card.

Membership Wednesday ~ June 2025 BOM Check it Out ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a quick masculine card featuring an older stamp from Unity along with the awesome Check it Out background stamp from the June 2025 Background of the Month membership.

I stamped the awesome background directly onto the front of a white A2 top fold card base with Black Amalgam ink and distressed the edges with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink. So super easy and it looks just like a chess board.

My oldest son likes to play chess so I thought I'd make him a chess themed birthday card. I remembered the chess pieces from an old KOM and after a bit of investigating I found it. It's in the December 2018 KOM called Best Friend Till the End. I stamped them with Black Amalgam ink and colored them with just a few Copic markers - E000, E21, E33.

I die cut the chess pieces using a square die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies} and distressed the edges very lightly using residual ink on my brush. I then adhered it to a black mat that I die cut with the next largest die. The fun sentiment is a new fave from the Ween Party Crew stamps that I heat embossed using Ultra Fine Embossing Powder Raven embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I trimmed up the sentiment and mat it with some leftover black card stock. Easy peasy and I sure hope he likes it.

Membership Wednesday ~ April 2025 BOM Mod Bloom ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a card featuring this month's fab background stamp from the April 2025 Background of the Month membership from Unity called Mod Blooms.

I wanted to try a fun technique with Distress Crayons where I colored the rubber stamp, spritzed the stamp with a bit of water and then stamped the image. It worked pretty well. I went back in with the crayons to add a bit of detail.

I used Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, and Twisted Citron Distress Crayons. And then I used a Tumbled Glass Distress Crayon to watercolor around the flower.

I die cut the flower using a stitched rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. I die cut a piece of white card stock using the largest die from the Postage Stamp {nesting dies}. And then I adhered all of my layers to a white A2 top fold card base.

Here's a quick look at this month's Background of the Month membership! So many fun ideas for this stamp! Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps! Have an INKredible day!

Membership Wednesday ~ March 2025 BOM Mandala of the Heart ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a quick birthday card featuring the gorgeous background stamp from the March 2025 Background of the Month membership from Unity called Mandala of the Heart.

I love this beautiful stamp! I embossed it on Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink using Sugar Cube Pigment Ink from Taylored Expressions along with Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe. My favorite combo for a bright white embossed image!

I melted the embossing powder with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. I kept this card very simple by just stamping the background three times with the beautiful stamp directly on the front of a kraft A2 card base. No extra layers or die cutting.

I also heat embossed the sentiment. I thought about using one of the fab sentiments that comes with the background stamp, but I like to keep my birthday card stash full so I thought it would make a lovely birthday card. I used a sentiment from the Ween Party Crew stamps.

Here's a quick look at this month's Background of the Month membership! I adore this stamp!

Membership Wednesday ~ February 2025 BOM Petal Fusion ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a pretty card featuring the gorgeous February 2025 Background of the Month membership from Unity called Petal Fusion.

I colored up all the pretty flowers in this fantastic background stamp using my Copic markers. Definitely had Spring on my mind!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
White Flowers: C00, C2
Pink Flower: R00, R21, R43
Blue Flower: B000, B00, B02
Yellow Flowers: Y11, Y15
Purple Flowers: V000, V12
Orange Flowers: YR000, YR21, YR15
Flower Centers: Y11, Y15, Y17

I wanted to add some dimension to the card so I die cut the panel with the three big scallop dies from the BIG Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}.

I adhered the center panel directly to the white A2 top fold card base. I then popped up the middle panel using foam tape. And I adhered the outer panel directly to the card base. I love the fun dimension it gives to the card.

You can see more of the dimension in this photo. To finish off the card I fussy cut the sentiment from the February 2025 Kit of the Month called The Sweetest Spring.

Here's a quick look at this month's Background of the Month membership! Love it!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps! Have an inkredible day!

Membership Wednesday ~ Dec. 2024 and Jan. 2025 Background of the Month ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a trio of cards featuring not one, but TWO fabulous Background of the Month stamps from Unity. I used the January 2025 Background of the Month and the December 2024 Background of the Month.

I seriously love the Faded Roses background stamp from last month's BOM. They are stunning! I was curious to see how they would look with this month's Damask Grunge background stamp. I love the texture this month's BOM gives to the roses!

I stamped the Damask Grunge with Lost Shadow Distress Ink on Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink. I stamped the Faded Roses with Mermaid Lagoon and Villainous Potion Distress Inks. I also stamped the sentiment for this one using the same two inks.

I was also curious to see how these colors would look on Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink. I love it! All the same colors for this one. The only difference is the sentiment is heat embossed with white pigment ink and white embossing powder on kraft card stock. The sentiment is from the Extended Celebration {Front & Center Stamps}.

I also wanted to see how Festive Berries Distress Ink would look with the Lost Shadow Distress Ink on Kraft card stock. It was a fun inky time of experimenting!! LOL! And I got three cards out of it. All of the background panels were die cut using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}.

Here's a look at the Faded Roses background stamp.

And a look at this month's Background of the Month membership! Love them both!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps!
