Membership Wednesday ~ April 2025 KOM Barnyard Sass & Blooms ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a card featuring a fab stamp from the April 2025 Kit of the Month membership from Unity called Barnyard Sass & Blooms.

I stamped the flowers with Black Amalgam ink and colored them up with some Copic markers.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Petals: Y11, Y15, R11, R12
Center: Y11, Y15, Y38
Stems & Leaves: YG91, YG95, YG97
Outline: BG0000, BG10

I was in a CAS mood... so keeping it Clean & Simple.

I die cut the flower and sentiment using the largest die from the BIG Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. I adhered the panel to a white A2 top fold card base.

Here's a quick look at this month's Kit of the Month membership! Loving the variety this month!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps! Have an inkredible day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Paw Print Sympathy Card ~ Somewhere Over the Rainbow Stencil ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
The awesome Brown Thursday Sale over at Unity Stamp Co. is here!!! What's Brown Thursday, you ask? Well, it's Unity's version of Black Friday and it's filled with a HUGE new release and a fabulous sale! Today I'm sharing a sweet pet sympathy card that was quick to make featuring the sweet Somewhere Over the Rainbow Stencil!

The paw prints are heat embossed with Wow! Clear Embossing Ink, a Catherine Pooler Designs Detail Blending Brush, Hero Arts Fine Clear Embossing Powder and melted with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. The sentiment from the Somewhere Over the Rainbow stamps was also heat embossed but with a combo of Taylored Expressions Sugar Cube Pigment Ink, Brutus Monroe Alabaster White Embossing Powder and the same heat tool. I also used the TE Anti-Static Powder Tool to prep the card stock before I heat embossed.

I blended Kitsch Flamingo and Peacock Feather Distress Inks over the embossed paw prints. And I did a bit of water spatters to cover up the messy embossed spots around a couple of the paws. I embossed the sentiment after blending the inks. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the sentiment... poor planning, I guess. LOL

You can check out my process video for this card here... Paw Print Sympathy Card | Somewhere Over the Rainbow Stencil | Unity Stamp Co.

I die cut the panel using the largest die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Dies. This was such a quick card to make! I love how it turned out. I hope you have an inktastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Merriest Season of All ~ Poinsettia Comfort ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with a second card today! I'm sharing a pretty CAS holiday card for the Brown Thursday Instagram Hop that the Unity Design Team is having in celebration of Brown Thursday! Head over to IG and check it out... there's prizes!!

The beautiful Poinsettia Comfort stamp is stamped with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs. I colored it up with my Copic markers.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Pink: RV10, RV11, Colorless Blender
Green: G0000, G00, G12
Yellow: Y11, Y15
Outline: C00, C1

I paired up poinsettia with the pretty Getting Cozy {paper pack}. You may be wondering... the papers in that pack are white, aren't they?! Yes, they are! I colored the edge of the pattern paper with the RV11 Copic marker.

The poinsettia panel is die cut using the largest die from the Postage Stamp {nesting dies}. All my layers are adhered to a white A2 top fold card base that's turned on the side for a landscape card. Well, that's it for me today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Membership Wednesday ~ May 2023 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a super CAS card using the lovely Petal Play dies from the wonderful May 2023 Whit Kit membership along with the sentiment from the Petal Play stamps, also included in this month's card kit from Unity. I just couldn't help but play a bit more with my Distress Crayons. They've been so fun!

I hadn't planned on going quite so CAS with this one, but sometimes the card just dictates the design and this one was very loud. LOL!

I created the background for the die cut using a handful of Distress Crayons and then die cut it with the beautiful Petal Play dies. The sentiment is stamped with the Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink directly on a white A2 top fold card base.

I used liquid glue to adhere the die cuts so that I could lift the flower easily and adjust the leaves as I needed to get them how I wanted. Another option would be to add a double sided tape to the distress crayon background before die cutting the flower and leaves. You could then adhere the leaves to the back of the flower before adhering them both to the card.

You can check out my process video here... Distress Crayon CAS Card | May 2023 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.

Here's a look at the wonderful Whit Kit for May!! Gorgeous! This wonderful card kit is available for only $42.99. That includes shipping! You also get a $6.95 discount on every order from Unity over $45. Members are also able to purchase past Whit Kit stamp sets for just $14 and past Whit Kit paper packs for $2 off!! So awesome!!!

That's it for me today! I'll be back next week with another card {or two!} using the May 2023 Whit Kit!! Loving this month's card kit!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Zinnia CAS Card ~ February Challenge ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing more inspiration for the Unity February Sketch Challenge that I'm hosting in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group. I was inspired by one of the entries into the challenge to play with more of a CAS design. Definitely a fun challenge for this sketch and I like how my card turned out.

I just had to play with the beautiful Zinnia stamp again! Love these beautiful flowers! I considered leaving all the flowers white and I really think it would look lovely, but I decided to add a pop of color. Love me some turquoise!!

I also colored up my little banners ombre style with the same markers. So fun!
Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Zinnia ~ BG10, BG13, BG18, BG78, Y000, Y11, Y15, Y35
Turquoise Banner ~ BG10, BG13, BG18, BG78
Yellow Banner ~ Y000, Y11, Y15, Y35

I added a couple white enamel dots to my banners. And then to finish off the card I stamped my sentiment from the July 2022 Sentiment Kit called So Kind, So Caring, So You. I actually goofed up my sentiment on the card and had to stamp it again. Fussy cut and then covered up my mistake. Phew! Luckily that was an easy fix.

You can check out my process video here... Zinnia CAS Card | February Sketch Challenge |
 Unity Stamp Co.

Here's another look at the sketch! Please know that the sketch is meant to inspire and not require. Feel free to alter it to work for your creation and most importantly have some inky fun! I can't wait to see what you create! Be sure to share your cards in the Unity Show & Tell group and also add them to the sketch challenge album in the group to be entered for a prize!! I'll see you back here next Thursday with one last card for this month's sketch challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

CAS Envelope Card ~ Greetings this Season ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Sharing a quick CAS card... today is the last day for the awesome Year End Clearance Sale over at Unity! As a cardmaker, I really love when stamps feature cardmaking images and an envelope filled with poinsettias is so gorgeous!! I couldn't wait to ink up the gorgeous Greetings this Season stamps!

I created this CAS card simply by running a card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" through my Big Shot with the Brickwork 3D Embossing Folder from Sizzix and Tim Holtz. I trimmed it to approximately 4-1/4 x 4-1/8" and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base.

Here's a quick list of the copic markers I used to color up this gorgeous envelope:

Envelope ~ C00, C2, C3
Poinsettias ~ R20, R14, R27, Y06, Y15, Y28
Pine Needles ~ YG03, YG63
Holly ~ YG11, G24, G46
Berries ~ R20, R14, R27

I fussy cut the envelope leaving a white border. I also trimmed the sentiment. I then popped up both on my card with foam tape. Very CAS and pretty easy to make! Head on over to Unity to check out the Year End Sale!! There's a few new releases and some items are as low as 75% off!! Woohoo!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Fall 2022 Series ~ Winnie the Pooh: Fallish Days ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Last month I started a Fall inspired collaboration with my friend Teresa from Fresh and Renewed with Teresa and unfortunately due to health issues we had to cancel the collaboration. Well, I still have the prize that I set aside for the collaboration so I decided to do a little Fall 2022 Series myself. Today I'm sharing my final Fall inspired card for this series, here and on my YouTube channel. I'll be picking a name for the winner from the comments on my YouTube videos. That includes the video that I did with Teresa for the start of our collaboration. So be sure to check that video out if you haven't already. You can check that out here. And if you missed my video last week, you can check out that one here.

So today I'm playing with the adorable new Winnie the Pooh: Fallish Days from Unity Stamp Co. This super cute stamp was just released along with a few more Winnie the Pooh stamps! I couldn't wait to color up this sweet Fall image!

Isn't it the cutest?! And those fun pumpkins... I just love coloring up pumpkins! They have been my favorite image to color with Copic Markers since I started really learning to color with them. I'm still learning all the time, but I wanted to share how I color pumpkins. It's really easy to do.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Winnie the Pooh ~ Y11, Y15, Y35
Orange Pumpkin ~ YR21, YR15, YR68, YR27
Light Orange Pumpkin ~ YR21, YR15
Green Pumpkin ~ YG23, YG93, YG95, YG97

I paired up this cute Winnie the Pooh stamp with the Simple Vintage Autumn Splendor 6x8 paper pad from Simple Stories. I die cut the Pooh bear image with the largest stitched square die from the new Scallops & Squares {nesting dies} from Unity. The Kraft layer is also die cut using the largest scalloped stitched square die. And I finished off the card with a couple green enamel dots from the Fall Break collection from Carta Bella Paper Co. You can check out my copic coloring and process in making this card here... Fall 2022 Series | Winnie the Pooh: Fallish Days | Unity Stamp Co.

Fall 2022 Series ~ Pumpkin Spice Anya ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
Last month I started a Fall inspired collaboration with my friend Teresa from Fresh and Renewed with Teresa and unfortunately due to health issues we had to cancel the collaboration. Well, I still have the prize that I set aside for the collaboration so I decided to do a little Fall 2022 Series myself. I'll be sharing a couple Fall inspired cards here and on my YouTube channel, but I'll be picking a name for the winner from the comments on my YouTube videos. That includes the one that I did with Teresa for the start of our collaboration. So be sure to check that video out if you haven't already. You can check that out here.

For my card today I wanted to play with a new stamp set that I just got from The Greeting Farm called Pumpkin Spice Anya. I just adore this set!! So much Fall cuteness!!

I've been on a bit of a Copic-coloring-on-Kraft kick so... I just had to see how Anya would look copic colored on Kraft and I love her!! I think she turned out pretty cute! What do you think?

My card was totally inspired by a card that I made last year when I guest designed for The Greeting Farm. You can check out that card here. I was curious how it would look on Kraft... and I think it's wonderful for a Fall card.

Here's a list of the Copic Markers I used to color Anya:

Skin ~ E00, E11, E04, R000, R20, RV21
Hair ~ E70, E71, E74, E79
Hat / Hair Tie ~ RV21, RV14, white gel pen
Sweater ~ BG70, BG72, BG75
Pants ~ E33, E35
Boots ~ N2, N4, N6, RV21, RV14
Pumpkins ~ YR21, YR15, YR68, YR27
Cup ~ BG70, BG72, BG75

The background was created with the Knit Wits Stencil from The Greetery. I blended Dried Marigold, Carved Pumpkin, Saltwater Taffy, and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide inks over two of the stencils in the set. Anya and the cup were both fussy cut on the line and then the edges were cleaned up with a Memento Tuxedo black marker. I popped up Anya and the cup with foam tape.

The sentiment was stamped with Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions on Dark Chocolate card stock from Papertrey Ink and I heat embossed some Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I trimmed up the sentiment and adhered it directly to the card. You can check out my process video here... Fall 2022 Series | Pumpkin Spice Anya | The Greeting Farm.

Be sure to visit my YouTube Channel and comment on my video for a chance to win my giveaway! I'll be back next week with another Fall inspired card.

Halloween Series 2022 ~ Happy Halloween ~ Not 2 Shabby

 Hello there crafty friend!
So excited to be sharing some Halloween inspiration for my Halloween Series 2022!! I'll be sharing a few Halloween cards for the next few weeks. Today I'm sharing a fun twist on a CAS card with an all black card front with the adorable little witch from the Happy Halloween stamp set from Not 2 Shabby. (Unfortunately, it looks like this cutie is out of stock)

I made my own mask by die cutting a circle from a scrap piece of card stock. I ink blended some Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink over the circle mask. And then I laid the detailed stencil over the moon and blended Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxide over it.

I covered the moon with the negative circle that I had die cut and splattered white acrylic paint all over my True Black card front. I die cut another piece of black card stock with a stitched hillside die and adhered it just under the moon.

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used to color up this adorable witch that I stamped on Stampers Select White card stock with Memento Tuxedo black ink:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, E04
Pink Cheek ~ R20, RV21
Hair ~ YR21, YR15, YR68
Broom ~ E53, E55, E57
Hat ~ N2, N4, N6, YG11, YG23, G14, V12, V15, V17
Clothes ~ YG11, YG23, G14, V000, V12, V15, V17
Shoes ~ V000, V12, V15, V17

I fussy cut the cute witch on the black line and cleaned up the edges by coloring them with a Memento Tuxedo black marker. I stamped the sentiment with Sugar Cube pigment ink from Taylored Expressions and heat embossed some Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I trimmed up the sentiment and then I popped up the sentiment and the witch with foam tape.

I think this turned out pretty cute! I hope you like it too!
I'll be back next week with another Halloween card for my Halloween Series 2022!

Membership Monday ~ October 2022 Uniquely Unity Here Comes Amazon ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Welcome back for another Membership Monday blog post... today I'm featuring the super cute Uniquely Unity membership from Unity Stamp Co. called Here Comes Amazon!! As you may know, I love Christmas so when the memberships have Christmas stamps I get especially giddy! The beautiful holiday lights in this month's Uniquely Unity membership are so pretty, but I think the sentiments actually steal the show!

I only had time to play with one of the sentiments for this one card, but if you haven't seen the others you HAVE to!! They are so perfect and kinda punny too! So for my card, I tried out a new technique... Copic coloring over ink smooshed Distress ink. Echo Noble had shared this technique when the Design Team was visiting Unity and I just fell in love with the texture in this technique. I had to try it!

I'll be honest... I was scared to touch my Copic markers to the ink smooshed distress inks but it's totally fine and they are all good!! Yay! I'm so glad because I love this technique! I'm sure I'll be playing around with it again soon!

Here's a quick list of the Distress Inks and Copic markers I used:

Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink
Purple Bulb ~ V000, V12, V15, V17
Blue Bulb ~ B000, B00, B02
Pink Bulb ~ RV10, RV21, RV14

I die cut the panel with the largest stitched rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Unity. I also die cut a piece of Tempting Turquoise card stock with the largest stitched scallop die from the same die set. I adhered all my layers on a white A2 top fold card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11"; scored at 5-1/2". If you're interested in seeing my process video for this card you can check it out here... Copic Coloring on an Ink Smooshed Background | October 2022 Uniquely Unity | Unity Stamp Co.

Isn't that stamp just too cute!! So fun to color! Be sure to check out the Uniquely Unity membership over at Unity Stamp Co. I'll be back next Monday with another Membership Monday post - this time using the gorgeous October 2022 Kit of the Month!!

CAS Mixed Media Cards ~ August 2022 WK Grow Untamed ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I got inky with the latest Whit Kit for August 2022 from Unity Stamp Co. and boy was it fun! Have you played with the Distress Archival inks before? I haven't really. I've just stamped with them. But I wanted to try something different so I watched Tim Holtz's video when he introduced the latest Distress Archival inks and it inspired me to make a couple of fun cards. I probably would have gotten a different result on a glossy paper but I used the paper that came in this months kit just to see what it would do and I do love the CAS mixed media design I came up with.

I masked the card fronts with some iCraft Pixie Tape and stamped a few of the Grow Untamed stamps in the space with all four of the Distress Archival inks included in this months kit. And then I lightly ink blended Vintage Photo Distress ink over the stamped area.

On the Kraft card stock it's a little hard to see the flowers in the background. I did a bit of water splatters and then blended some more ink along the edge of my masks. I did have a bit of a heavier hand with my Vintage Photo Distress Ink blending for this card.

I do love the rich brown ink on this Kraft card stock! The water splatters are very striking in person too. Definitely a fun technique to try again!

On the white card stock you can see more of the stamps in the background. They didn't quite resist like they would on the glossy paper so I'm eager to give that technique a try but I do love how these turned out.

I stamped the one wildflower for my focal piece with the Evergreen Bough Distress Archival ink and die cut it with a Wonky Stitched Oval die from Gina Marie Designs. I kinda wish I'd stamped it on vellum or maybe used a smaller die and not cover up as much of the background, but it is what it is now.

I popped up the ovals with foam tape. Stamped the sentiments with the same ink on the scrap card stock. Trimmed them up and distressed the edges a bit with the Vintage Photo Distress ink.

What do you think? I definitely like the white one better... but I think this technique is fun and I encourage you to check out Tim's video. It's a long one... lol... but the part about the Distress Archival inks is very interesting. And I'm excited to try this technique again with a different paper.

Here's a look at the August 2022 Whit Kit... I may have another card to share later this afternoon. I didn't quite get it finished and then life got in the way. But it's a card showcasing some of the gorgeous papers in this kit. Be sure to check out this fab kit over at Unity! I love getting this wonderful kit each month... the stamps and papers are always beautiful and I love trying out the new products that are included with it like the Archival inks this time. Anywho, have a wonderful day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
