As promised yesterday, I am back with a couple more cards using the beautiful March 2021 Whit Kit Wayward Florals from Unity Stamp Co. I used the pretty shimmer powders included in the kit in two different ways for two similar, but different birthday cards.
For the first card, I used the Atlantis Burst and Golden Sparkler shimmer powders to watercolor the floral and then watercolored around the image with a yellow Zig Clean Color Real Brush marker.
I die cut both of the cards with a large stitched rectangle die after they were completely dry. I then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on black card stock and adhered it to the cards.
For the second card, I added some shimmer powder to the dry card and then spritzed it with lots of water. I got a nice layer of color all over the entire card and then dabbed it with a paper towel. I was then able to tape it to my glass mat and add even more shimmer powder and water to darken the colors.
I dried this one a bit with my Mini Wagner heat tool, but I did let it dry overnight before die cutting it and adhering the sentiment. I have a video sharing my process for both of these cards. You can check that out here... Nuvo Shimmer Powder 2-Ways | March 2021 Whit Kit.
If you have the kit, I'd love to see what you've created with it... be sure to share in the Unity {show & tell} Facebook group. If you don't have the kit, check it out on the Unity Stamp Co. website! Today is the last day to sign up and receive this kit!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

I finally had a chance to open up my March 2021 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co. and had a whole lot of fun whipping up some cards to share. Today, I'm sharing a few different projects I made... the first two are cards I made from one backgrounds I created using the gorgeous Nuvo Shimmer powders included in the kit.
My first card... I'll admit this one didn't turn out as I envisioned, BUT it's still pretty and the shimmer in the flowers is amazing! I think it could use some burlap string or maybe enamel dots. What do you think? I wanted to keep it CAS but maybe it's too CAS.
I fussy cut the stamped floral and touched up the edges with a black Stabilo fine pen. I die cut the Golden Marble papers with a Blueprints #1 die from My Favorite Things and then I stamped the sentiment with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink. I adhered the scallop die cut paper to an A2 top fold Kraft card base and then adhered the floral to the card.
I was careful to save as much of the background as possible when fussy cutting the floral because I knew I wanted to use it for another card. I struggled with the design for this one though but I really love how it turned out! I knew I wanted to make a mini slimline... I have mentioned they are addicting, right? Well, I wasn't kidding!
I cut a piece of the Golden Marble paper to 2-7/8 x 5-3/8" and mat it on Hawaiian Shores card stock from Papertrey Ink. I stamped the leaf image once with Hawaiian Shores ink and then here and there with a little Classic Kraft ink. I stamped the sentiment in the same way and then adhered the panel to a kraft mini slimline card front measuring 3-1/2 x 6". And then adhered the entire piece to a white mini slimline card base measuring 7 x 6", scored at 3-1/2".
I die cut the background piece with one of the Mixed Media dies from Tim Holtz and used a Stitched Basic Edges die from My Favorite Things for the side. I trimmed the left side so that it fit right over the panel on the card base. I added some gold metallic thread and a wood heart piece from one of the older Whit Kits. I used Ranger Multi Media Matte to adhere the heart down over the thread.
I just love how that background turned out! You can check out the short video I made where I share the kit, make the background for these cards, and I also share the cards... Nuvo Shimmer Powder Background | March 2021 Whit Kit.
A bonus bookmark! I thought the pretty Golden Marble papers would be nice for a bookmark that I could send to a friend or maybe one of my nieces. I die cut the patterned paper with the Basic Bookmark 3 die from Papertrey Ink. I then die cut another bookmark from the Hawaiian Shores card stock. I stamped the leaf image with the Hawaiian Shores ink and then little touches of the Classic Kraft ink... just like I did for the mini slimline card. I stamped the sentiment on Hawaiian Shores card stock with Wow Clear Embossing ink and melted some Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I fussy cut around the sentiment and then adhered it to the bookmark.
I adhered the bookmarks together giving it a clean look on both sides and then added some Hawaiian Shores Topnotch Twill tape ribbon from Papertrey Ink with some Tip Top Taupe Dotted Lace Trim from Stampin Up! I then tied those off with a little Natural Burlap string that I got from Unity.
It's Friday and you know what that means... I'm back with another Christmas card for the week using the March sketch from the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers group! This is my 12th official week of making a Christmas card each week and I actually more than 12 cards in my stash so I'm really happy with my goal thus far!! This is also the last day of the Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop and it's a little fun to end it as I started... with a Christmas card! So let's get to it!
What do you think? I changed up the sketch just a tad by using die cut snowflakes in place of the circle for the girl but also added one under the sentiment. I really like how it turned out. I used the adorable Oh What Fun Sentiment kit from Unity Stamp Co. Isn't she just the cutest stamp?! There's 3 sweet girls in the whole set and a whole bunch of sentiments... you should go check it out!
I used the beautiful Deck the Halls papers from Echo Park papers and the snowflake die is the Sizzix Thinlits Flurry #2 die from Tim Holtz.
I used the following Copic markers to color up this cutie:
Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ E21, E23, E29
Hat / Coat ~ C00, C2, G14, G19
Skirt ~ G14, G19, G29

I'm back with another fun gnome card... this cutie is a new release at Unity Stamp Co. this week!! I couldn't BEE more excited to share this fun card I created using the adorable Gonna Bee Here stamp set.
I created the background using Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks over the Hex Shifter Stencil by Tim Holtz. I added a bit of black acrylic paint splatter with just a touch of shimmer by also adding a drop of Liquid Pixie Dust to the paint.
I dried the background and trimmed it down to 4 x 5-1/4". I mat it on a card front of Black Licorice card stock from Lawn Fawn measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" and then adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base.
I colored up this cutie with the following Copic markers:
Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Beard ~C00, C2, C3
Shoes ~ N2, N6, N10
Wings ~ B0000, B00, R27
Honey ~ Y11, Y15, Y38
Hive ~ E21, E23, E27
Bees ~ N2, N6, N10, B0000, B00, Y06, Y11
Honey Pot ~ BG10, BG15, BG57, B06, B99
Ground/Outline ~ E23, E25, N0, N2
I die cut the cute bee gnome with a Stitched Tag Corner Square STAX die from My Favorite Things. I added a bit of shimmer to the wings of the gnome and the bees with a Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua pen. I then trimmed off the right edge of the die cut piece and adhered it to the card. I mat the sentiment on black card stock, trimmed it and then adhered it to the card. To finish of the card, I added a couple enamel dots.
After making so many mini slimline cards, it was nice to switch back to an A2 sized card. I used one of my favorite dies... the Blueprints 20 dies from My Favorite Things for my base layers. The pretty Hello Easter papers are from Echo Park. I've mat them with Early Espresso card stock and die cut the Coffee die three times with the same card stock. I adhered the Coffee die cuts all together using liquid glue.
I used the following Copic markers to color the cup:
Lid ~ RV10, RV11
Cup ~ C00, C2
Sleeve ~ YG11, YG25
Flower ~ Y06, Y11, Y18, YR15
Outline/Grounding ~ BG0000, N0, N2
I added a few dots of white gel pen to the center of the flower and then mat the trimmed piece with Early Espresso card stock. I wrapped the plaid layer with some pretty white ribbon and adhered all the layers to a white A2 top fold card base. I then adhered the Coffee die using foam tape under the first three letters and liquid glue for the last three letters.

And I just HAD to make another mini slimline card!! Can't get enough of this card size!
My background papers are called Ho Ho Gnome craft papers from Polkadoodles. I embossed the fun papers with a snowflake embossing folder for a bit of texture and then trimmed them down to 5-3/4 x 3-1/4". I die cut a couple stitched hillsides using the Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders dies from Lawn Fawn. I layered them on the patterned paper and then trimmed them. I wrapped the layers with a silver cord and then tied a little bow. I then adhered the entire panel to a Coastal Cabana card front measuring 3-1/2 x 6" and adhered the card front to a white mini slimline card base measuring 7 x 6" that was scored at 3-1/2".
I combined the adorable gnome with the sentiment in a Word document and printed it off. I then colored the image with the following Copic markers:
Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, R11
Beard ~ C00, C2
Clothes ~ R000, R14, R27, YG03, YG25, C00, C2
Shoes ~ N3, N5, N10
Mug ~BG10, BG23
Coffee ~ E21, E27, E49, E51
Here's a look at the adorable digi stamp and check out all those sentiments!! All those fun sentiments fit just right in that mug! Can you believe this digi stamp set is only $3 right now!? Such an awesome price!!

It's me again with another mini slimline coffee card for the 2021 Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop!! I couldn't help but make another fun mini slimline card! These cards are addicting! This time I'm using two fun stamp sets from Super Sponsor Unity Stamp Co... Coffee Side by Side and Whit's Words!!
I stamped the Coffee Side by Side stamp a few times with Memento Tuxedo black ink on the mini slimline panel measuring 5-5/8 x 2-5/8". I then mat it on a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock measuring 5-3/4 x 2-3/4" and then adhered it to a mini slimline card front measuring 6 x 3" and adhered the entire panel on a 6 x 6" card base that I scored at 3".
I stamped the one cup one more time on a scrap piece of white card stock and then colored it up with the following Copic markers ~ BG11, BG34, E21, E23, R14, R27, C00, C2. I fussy cut the cup and adhered it to the card.
I stamped the 'You're my favorite' sentiment from Whit's Words with Sea Glass ink from Gina K. Designs and added a couple enamel hearts to finish off the card.
Have you checked out the fun Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop yet? I've done a little hopping and ohhh... there's some beautiful creations being shared! Always love this hop!

How cute is that mug?! I love it! I'm a bit obsessed with the mini slimline cards right now! I'll be sharing a few during the hop. This particular mini slimline measures 3-1/2 x 6". I usually do 3 x 6" for my mini slimline cards, but when I print off this fun digi set I had originally planned to make a regular slimline so it's a little big.
I paired up this sweet digi stamp with some old Stampin' Up! papers from my stash called Stacked with Love. I wanted to keep with a love theme and the hearts in these papers were perfect!
I used the following Copic markers to color up this cute mug:
Mug ~ C00, C2, R000, R14, R27
Coffee ~ E21, E25, E49
Steam ~ C00, C1, C3, R000, R14, R27
Ground ~ N0, N2
To finish off the card, I added a couple scraps of the patterned paper that I fussy cut and stapled them to the focal piece. I then popped up the entire focal piece on the card with foam tape. I love the extra dimension that gives to this card.
Have you checked out the fabulous hop yet?! You really should... there's lots of inspiration, prizes and a lot of the Super Sponsors, including Polka Dot Orchard, are having sales right now!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

I have another card to share for the Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop and yes, it's another Christmas card. I can't help it! I've been on a roll lately making Christmas cards!! I do have plans to share a Spring card or two... but for today I have a pretty slimline card using a beautiful digi stamp from Super Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard called Merry Little Coffee.
This turned out to be a very CAS slimline card! I just love how it turned out... I hope you do too!
I watercolored the Merry Little Coffee mug with a few Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I love pink poinsettias... they are my absolute favorite!
And I finished it off with a few fun sequins from my stash. Super CAS and lovely!
