Unity Stamp Company ~ Cat's Meow ~ Hello Friend

Hello there! I have a sweet CAS card to share for the CASology Cue Card: Furbaby challenge. Once seeing the cue card for the challenge this week, I thought it was a great excuse to ink up this cute Cat's Meow stamp set from Unity Stamp Company.

I stamped the kitty and the sentiment using Memento tuxedo black ink and then colored in the kitty using the following Copic markers ~ R00, R20, R21, N0, N2, Colorless Blender. I got to thinking that the kitty really wanted to send some love so I stamped the heart stamp using Ink on 3's Fadeout No Line Coloring ink. I didn't want the black outline around the heart so that's why I chose this ink and it was a great excuse to try out this ink on a very simple image to color. I used R000, R14, R27 to color the heart. I think it's really cool how the lines from the Fadeout ink just faded away. I'm anxious to try it again with a different image. Anywho, back to the card... I wanted to give the kitty a little ground to sit on so I used W00, W1, W2 for a subtle ground that would contrast the grays of the kitty.

I die cut the card front with the large stitched panel from the My Favorite Things Blueprint 31 die. I adhered it to the white card base using mono multi purpose liquid glue. So cute! I love this adorable kitty stamp! I will say that I wish the coloring on the red heart had a smoother edge to it, but I still love how the card turned out!

I got an early start on this week's challenge so there's lots of time still play! Go check it out

Thank you friends for checking out my blog post!

Power Poppy ~ Just One More Christmas Card

Hello! I'm sharing just one more Christmas card today for the CASology challenge - Cue Card: Holly.
I recently got my hands on some Power Poppy stamps and this holly from the Holly Golightly stamp set just had to get inked up!

I wanted to keep the card very CAS so I simply stamped the holly branch and sentiment in the upper center portion of the card front using Memento tuxedo black ink.

I then colored the holly branch using the following Copic markers:
R000, R14, R29, G24, G29, G46, YG63, YG67

I die cut the card front using a Nested Rounded Corner Rectangle Small Stitch die from Rubbernecker Stamps and adhered it to a white card base.

There's still a few days to play along with the CASology challenge. I encourage you to check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Brutus Monroe ~ Snow Friends Watercolor

Hello! I'm sharing a pretty quick CAS card that I created for the CASology challenge Cue Card: North. When I saw the cue card for this challenge I just had to play along.

My design for this card was really simple. I stamped the snowman and the sentiment from Brutus Monroe's Snow Friends stamp set using Brutus Monroe Raven Detail Ink on Canson XL watercolor paper and heat set it with my heat tool so it was fully dry before I started watercoloring. I pulled out my neglected ZIG Clean Color Real Brush pens to watercolor the image picking some fun colors. Once I had the image colored as I wanted, I added some Snow Marker around the bottom of the snowman and heat it up with my heat gun to make it all puffy.
I trimmed the watercolor paper down to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8" and adhered it to a white card base. Really simple... and I love it! I hope you do too!

There's still a few days to play along with the CASology challenge. If you have some time, I encourage you to get inky and play along.

Possibilities Await ~ Capture Your Story!

Hello! I'm sharing a CAS card I made for the CASology Challenge #307 - Cue Card: Zoom.
When I was younger I used to take pictures ALL the time! Photography was a huge part of my life. So when I saw the cue was Zoom... I just had to use this image from Unity Stamp Company's Moments Between Moments Kit of the Month.
I love this gal with the camera!

I wanted to continue working with my ZIG Clean Color Real Brush pens so I stamped the image with VersaMark Watermark ink and heat embossed a fine black embossing powder and colored the image in. I also stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the Possibilities Await set on a scrap of the same watercolor paper.

I die cut the image with a scalloped rectangle die and added a couple bits of washi before adhering it to the card base. I popped up the sentiment and then adhered the little wooden camera that I watercolored with the ZIGs as well. That's it for this card!

Be sure to check out the challenge... since it's summer time this challenge is going for 2 whole weeks, so there's still time to play along. :)

Let's Have a Pignic!

Hay there! It's been awhile since I've played along with the CASology challenge... when I saw the Cue Card is Farm, I just knew I had to use my Scrapping for Less Piggy Picnic set from the Countryside card kit.

I started by die cutting a post it note using a Spellbinders Labels Three die so that I could mask my area for a little scene. I stamped the little piggy, sun, and picnic basket using Memento tuxedo black ink and then colored them in using the following copic markers ~ RV0000, RV10, RV21, R000, R14, R27, Y000, Y06, Y35, E55, E57, N0, G14.

I then masked the images and blended Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn distress inks. I stamped the pun-tastic sentiment from the set and called this card done!

Be sure to go check out the CASology blog for this fun challenge! There's still some time to play along!

The Small Stuff

Hello! It's been awhile since I've played along with the CASology challenge. I happened to see the current challenge cue card is Tiny. I got curious and decided to check out the challenge. I was inspired by Anna's card...

I loved the simple but sweet image and sentiment inside of the stitched rectangle. So for my card, I decided to emboss the Wonky Rectangle from My Favorite Things on my white card base. I stamped the little Charlie Brown tree and sentiment from Unity's Small Stuff Christmas kit using a dark brown ink. I colored the image in using my Crayola colored pencils... they were handy on my desk. I just love this little tree... a simple and quick Christmas card!

~ Hello Friend! ~

I've just been waiting for a chance to ink up this fun bunch of fruit and I think the CASology Cue Card: Juicy was the perfect inspiration!

I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a white card base and then colored it in with copics. I added a few highlights with a white gel pen. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark and heat embossed white embossing powder on a strip of True Black card stock. I cut it into a banner and popped it up on the card. Bam! Love how this one turned out!

CASology 5-Year Anniversary Blog Hop!

First of all, Happy Birthday CASology!! Congratulations on 5 fabulous years!!

To celebrate this fabulous anniversary, CASology has the cue card Balloon. How fun is that!?

I knew as soon as I saw it that I just had to use this adorable owl from a brand new sentiment kit from Unity Stamp Company. I decided to go super CAS with this card and let the sweet owl with balloons get all the love.

I find it so hard sometimes to transition from one medium to the next... do you do that too?
I've been working with watercolor more lately and it took me awhile to get this little owl colored how I wanted him with the copics. I do like how the card turned out, though.

Here are the products I used for this card:
Card Stock: White (PTI)

~ You Have a Pizza My Heart ~

I was inspired by the CASology cue card Pizza to ink up this adorable stamp set from Lawn Fawn called Pizza My Heart. I just adore this set!

I created the fun little background behind the pizza by using Stampin' Up!'s Gorgeous Grunge set which I'm shocked to discover, they retired! I love this set! I'm so glad that I bought it a long time ago! I stamped each of the stamps in the set using different distress inks layering them here and there. I then stamped the heart pizza and all the toppings on a scrap piece of card stock and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I stamped the sentiment on True Black card stock using VersaMark ink and then heat embossed fine white embossing powder. I then trimmed the black strip and adhered it to the card. I popped up the heart pizza using stampin' dimensionals. I love the way this turned out!

Here are the products I used for this card:
Stamps: Pizza My Heart (LF), Gorgeous Grunge (retired SU!)
Card Stock: White, True Black (PTI)

~ Sometimes this is all you need ~

As soon as I saw the cue card for this week's CASology challenge, I knew I just had to ink up this beautiful stamp from Unity's Beach Girl.

I stamped the image using Simon Says Stamp Barely Beige ink. I used ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers to color the image and the background. It was so fun just to do some simple watercolor. Once the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark and heat embossed some fine black embossing powder. I then die cut the panel using a large stitched rectangle die from MFT. I adhered the panel to a white card base and BAM!

~ All Things Grow With Love ~

Just a quick post today to share my entry for the CASology Cue Card ~ Grow challenge.

I stamped the tree from Unity's Angie's Tree kit in Archival Jet black ink and heat set it so I could get right to watercoloring. I then stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink and heat embossed some fine black embossing powder. I used a few different Distress inks to watercolor by just smooshing them on my acrylic block and pulling the color with my water brush. I wanted the sentiment to stand out a bit so I watercolored with some Worn Lipstick ink and then used Hibiscus Burst card stock for my card base. Before adhering it to my card base I decided it needed something so I pulled out a couple of dies. I love the swirls that the Lawn Fawn stitched hillside borders give the edge and the way the card base pops out from behind giving some dimension even though it's just a simple one layer card. The top white piece needed just a little something so a few pink sequins finished it off perfectly!

You Are Strong Enough!

Hello! My card for this Easter Sunday was inspired by the cue card over at CASology - STRONG!

I immediately thought of this inspiring sentiment stamp I have from Unity. Isn't it fantastic?! I knew that Drew Girl would look just as fantastic with this sentiment.

I stamped Drew Girl with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored her in using Copics (I'll list them below). The Can You Case It? color challenge made my choice of colors super easy! I love the way she turned out! I stamped the sentiment from Unity's You Are Strong Enough kit using VersaMark ink and then heat embossed some fine black embossing powder.

I can't wait to see what you create using this color combo as your inspiration!! Be sure to join our Facebook group so that you can enter the challenge... Can You Case It? Challenge Group and go check out all the creations by the CYCI design team on our Facebook page!

~ Happiest of Birthdays ~

It's been a while since I've played along with the CASology cue cards. This weeks cue card is Icing! I was playing with a design for some birthday cards so I thought this was a perfect chance to make it fit for this challenge.

I finally got inky with the Distress Oxide inks!! Just a simple blending on some kraft, but I think it's really nice along with the white embossed cupcakes. A beautifully simple one layer CAS card!! One tip though if you decide to give this a try... after blending I patted the area with my embossing buddy. Don't rub! The ink will rub off on your embossing buddy. Just pat it on the area. Then I was able to stamp with VersaMark and add the white embossing powder without it sticking everywhere.
