Membership Monday ~ April 2022 KOM True Colors ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I am finally back with a Membership Monday post and so excited to share an adorable mini slimline card featuring the beautiful owl from the April 2022 Kit of the Month called True Colors.

This month's KOM is AMAZING!!! So many gorgeous stamps... it's hard to pick one to play with first, but it wasn't impossible. I do love owls and this one is so beautiful!! I love it! It was so fun to color, too!

I kept the coloring pretty simple. I just outlined the face and breast of the owl with cool gray and outlined the wings with warm grays. I blended those out with lighter grays and bam! Super easy coloring! The flowers were also easy. I just colored with half circles focusing the darker colors in the bottom left side. I had fun mixing up yellows, pinks and a tiny pit of peach. Here's a list of the copic markers I used:

Owl ~ C00, C2, W00, W1, W3, W5, Y11, YR15

Leaves ~ YG11, YG23

Flowers ~ Y11, Y06, YR15, R12, R22, RV11, RV21, RV14

I die cut a white piece of card stock with the largest of the Lacey Lattice Mini Slimline dies from Gina Marie Designs. I masked off the left and right side with Pixie Tape and blended a tiny bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide over the Cloud & Wave Stencil from Unity. I wanted the clouds soft to keep with my soft palette so I didn't go nuts with the ink. I fussy cut the owl leaving a bit of a white border around it. I adhered the lacy die cut to a 3-1/2 x 6-1/2" piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock from Stampin' Up. I adhered the card front to a white mini slimline card base measuring 7 x 6-1/2", scored at 3-1/2". I trimmed the sweet sentiment {also from this month's KOM} and then adhered the trimmed sentiment and the owl to the card. To finish it off I added a few Translucent enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs. I love this membership at Unity! Book Lovers Gift Idea ~ January 2022 KOM ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I had a fun gift idea for a crafty friend that is also a book lover and I used a stamp from the January 2022 Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Co. along with elements from the sweet gift that Unity sends along with the Kit of the Month membership. In the January KOM I received a piece of pattern paper, some gold cord, a colorful wood button, a flower wood piece, a little Kraft package and it was all in a small paper bag that I used to package my gift to my friend.

I apologize for the poor quality photo of my project. I was so excited to send off the gift that I made that I forgot to take pictures of the card I made and the packaging... LOL! Membership Monday ~ January 2022 Kit of the Month ~ Found in the Heart

I thought it was about time to bring back my Membership Monday blog posts now that the holidays are all done. I hope to share inspiration from the wonderful Memberships from Unity each week. What a great bunch of stamps in the first kit of 2022!! I couldn't wait to ink up the adorable mushroom house... ohhh... so stinkin' cute and fun!

It's the perfect size for a mini slimline card too! Yes!! I love mini slimline cards! I paired up the stamp with a fun sentiment from the Blooming Blessings {January 2022 Sentiment Kit}.

Membership Monday ~ August 2021 KOM Pumpkin Season ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I am back with one more Membership Monday post for the month of August... and today I'm sharing another Fall inspired card using the beautiful girl from the August 2021 Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Co. called Pumpkin Season!! I had a blast coloring up this beautiful stamp!

I stamped the girl and sentiment on a piece of white card stock with Gina K. Amalgam black ink and then die cut it with the Big Little Chain Mini Slimline die from Gina Marie Designs. I also die cut a scrap of pattern paper from the Apple Pickin {paper pack} from Unity with the same die and then die cut it again with the reverse side of the Stitched Hillside Borders die from Lawn Fawn. When I say reverse side I mean I didn't use the stitched side... I just used the outer curved side to get the cut I wanted. I hope that makes sense.

Then I colored up the image with the following Copic markers:

It's time for another Membership Monday card... and as promised last week, I have another beautiful Fall inspired card using the gorgeous August 2021 Kit of the Month called Pumpkin Season from Unity Stamp Co.!!! I can't get enough of the this kit... or this beautiful truck!! 

I just HAD to color up another truck... the whole image this time and make another card! I paired it up with some of the pretty wood grain papers from the Autumn Dream {paper pack}.

Membership Monday ~ August 2021 KOM Pumpkin Season ~ Unity Stamp Co.

I'm back with another Membership Monday post and this time I'm super excited to share a card I made using the absolutely gorgeous new August 2021 Kit of the Month called Pumpkin Season from Unity Stamp Co.!! Woohoo!! I love Fall!! All the gorgeous colors and the pretty pumpkins and comfy sweaters... just make me so happy!

I just love love love this beautiful stamp!! It was the first one that caught my eye in the kit. I colored it up pretty quick with the following Copic markers:

Hat ~ V01, V05, N0, N2, N3, N5, N7

Pumpkins ~ YR15, YR21, YR68, E51, E55, E57

Leaves ~ YG11, G14

Flowers ~ V01, V05, Y06, YR15, YR68

A close up of the card... Stay Spooky! 

Such a fun sentiment for Halloween! The background was created super quick with two pieces of pattern paper from the Trick or Treat {paper pack} from Unity! I love these papers! I tore the edge of the black with white polka dot paper to give it some texture. I adhered the sentiment to the scrap of green striped pattern paper and then adhered it to the bottom corner of the focal piece. I popped up the focal piece and sentiment with foam tape but before I adhered it to the card, I wrapped the card with a wide black organdy ribbon and tied a pretty bow. And then I adhered the entire card front to a white A2 top fold card base. Love it!

Membership Monday ~ July 2021 KOM Special Spot in my Heart ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I'm back with not one, but TWO fun mini slimline cards using the fantastic July 2021 KOM called Special Spot in my Heart from Unity Stamp Co!! I have been getting the Kit of the Month membership for quite awhile now and I adore the amazing stamps I receive each month! It's like Christmas each month... speaking of, if you're visiting my blog and looking for my Christmas in July card for today you can find that blog post here ---> Sweater Weather card. Now, let's check out my KOM cards...

My first card is Fall inspired... I don't know about you, but I can't wait for cooler weather! This is a very simple one layer card using the beautiful tree from the KOM. I stamped it and the big hello stamp on a piece of white card stock. I colored the scene with the following Copic markers:

Tree ~ E25, E55, E79

Leaves ~ E51, E55, R00, R14, R89, YR15, YR21, Y06, Y35

Grass ~ YG63, YG67, YG91

Sky ~ T1, B0000, B00

I used the Wonky Stitched Mini Slimline die from Gina Marie Designs to die cut the image and adhered it to a Kraft mini slimline card base measuring 7 x 6-1/2", scored at 3-1/2". I think I'll send this one to a friend just to say hello.

My second card was a lot of fun to create... I love to read and this image and sentiment just speak to me. I stamped them both on white card stock and die cut it with the Scalloped Stitched Mini Slimline die from Gina Marie Designs. I colored the stamped image with the following Copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11

Hair ~ E08, E18, YR21

Clothes ~ BG10, BG23, C00, C1, C2

Books ~ C00, C2, E21, E23, YR30, YR31, R14, R37, B91, B95, G24, G43

I didn't think to pick out my pattern paper before I started coloring so I had to go looking and after awhile I decided to go with some Art-C papers that I've had for a while... they don't have a name but they're like notebook and graph paper. I found a couple scraps already cut that worked perfectly.

I adhered the off white papers onto the blue papers and then roughed up the edges with a distress tool. I adhered the scalloped layer to the pattern paper layer and then adhered the entire panel to a white mini slimline card base measuring 7 x 6-1/2", scored at 3-1/2". I added a few Snowy Mountain enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs to finish off this card.

Membership Monday ~ June 2021 KOM Magical Summer Days ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Well, my last Membership Monday of June... this month has flown by! I hope that you've enjoyed a little inspiration using different membership kits from Unity Stamp Co. I hope to keep up this new segment for my blog and maybe even incorporate a video or two as time allows... let me know in the comments if you're enjoying it. Today, I am sharing one more card using the fabulous Kit of the Month membership... I adore this beautiful girl!! I paired her up with the pretty Simple Spring {paper pack} from the May 2021 Whit Kit which is available separately now. I also added a couple wood hearts from an embellishment included in one of the older Whit Kit's called the Amazing Mini Wood Flourishes.

CAS Sending Good Vibes ~ May 2021 KOM Summer Vibes ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I still had the May 2021 Kit of the Month called Summer Vibes from Unity Stamp Co. on my desk and got to thinking the flip flops would be fun to ink up. AND I happened to see that the cue over at Casology is Outside... so here I am with a fun CAS flip flop card.

A very clean and simple card... I stamped the flip flops and sentiment on a white card front with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored up the flip flops with the following Copic markers:

Flip Flop #1 ~ RV04, RV23, Y06, Y15

Flip Flop #2 ~ BG10, BG13, BG23

Flip Flop #3 ~ YG11, YG13, RV23, RV25

I used a B000 to outline the flip flops... giving them a tiny bit of dimension on the card. I trimmed the card front to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8" and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base. Easy and peasy... done!

Relax It's Your Day ~ May 2021 KOM Summer Vibes ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I had a fun idea for the girl in the new May 2021 Kit of the Month called Summer Vibes from Unity Stamp Co. so I inked her up and gave it a go!

I stamped the image with Wow Clear Embossing ink and then heat set a fine black embossing powder. I then watercolored a fun relaxing sunset scene with lots of pretty colors. I even decided to add some clouds using Copic Opaque White ink.

I trimmed the panel down and tore the left bottom corner. I roughed up the edges with a Tim Holtz Tonic Paper Distresser but the card still needed something... so I decided to add some waves with the Cloud & Wave stencil from Unity. I love the soft subtle background it gives to the watercolored scene.

I'm entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Stencil It.

April 2021 KOM ~ Love Dwells Here ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing a sweet card using the April 2021 Kit of the Month called Love Dwells Here from Unity Stamp Co. I just love the cute birdhouse in the kit and couldn't wait to ink it up!

I kept the card pretty simple with just a layer of patterned paper on a white card base. The pretty papers are from Echo Park's Spring Fling paper pack. I couldn't help but pick my favorite color from the paper pack... and since it was pretty much a monochromatic color scheme I decided to also use that color in coloring the birdhouse.

I colored up the birdhouse with the following Copic markers:

Roof / Base ~ BG11, BG13, BG34

Walls ~ E51, E55, E57

Heart ~ R14

Tree ~ E55, E57, YG17, YG23

Background ~ B0000, B000

I die cut the birdhouse with the Double Stitch Scalloped Rectangle Frames dies from Poppy Stamps. I adhered a 2-3/4 x 4" layer of scrap cardstock to the back of the die cut image to keep the two pieces together and then just adhered the focal piece to the card base. I mat the sentiment with a scrap strip of the pretty patterned paper and popped it up on the card. Done... I think it turned out pretty cute. I just love all the sweet images in this month's KOM! March 2021 KOM ~ Nose Wiggles & Bunny Wishes ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friends!

I just couldn't get enough of the Friends of Unity sketch for our March cue... I had to make another card using the sketch but turning it a bit to work for my design. Have you seen the adorable bunny in the March 2021 Kit of the Month?! Omgeee!! It's too cute! I just had to ink it up and color this cutie!

I used pretty patterned papers called Hello Easter by Echo Park for my layers and the banners.

So cute! I used the following Copic markers to color up this cutie:

Bunny ~ W00, W2, W5, R20, C00, C2, Colorless Blender

Flowers ~ YG11, YG23, R00, R20, RV14
