Here's a quick look at the March 2020 A Farmhouse Spring card kit...
I don't know about you but I am ready for some Spring... flowers, butterflies and sweet little bunnies! This kit is filled with so many sweet Spring goodies... a must have kit! Let's get to the cards!
Collection One: Hello Spring
For my first card, I set aside the adorable bunny stamp set and played with the sweet ephemera pieces included in the kit. I used another ephemera piece for my Sneak Peek card... you can check that out here if you missed it --->
A Farmhouse Spring card kit! Back to this sweet bunny card... I blended a bit of Old Paper Distress Oxide ink in the area behind the curious bunny... it helps to make the bunny pop on the card and it just so happens to be an
A La Carte item this month. I combined three of these ephemera pieces to make my scene and adhered them over a bit of patterned paper from the kit... I think it creates a sweet scene! To finish off this card, I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Collection Two: Farmhouse Floral
How gorgeous is that paper?!?! OMGeeee!! I love it so much! I trimmed the pretty papers and adhered them to a Whipped Cream card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I trimmed a strip of Whipped Cream card stock and adhered that over the patterned papers. I then stamped the beautiful floral image in Weathervane ink on vellum paper and quickly added some clear embossing powder before the ink dried. I then heat set the embossing powder being very careful to move my heat tool around so I didn't warp the vellum paper. I decided to just color the flowers in the image to help them pop on the card. I did this by coloring the flowers on the backside of the vellum paper. I die cut the vellum paper and a piece of Whipped Cream card stock with the same circle die. I adhered the vellum to the Whipped Cream circle using vellum tape.
I then stamped the banner with Weathervane ink and stamped the sentiment coloring the stamp with the Distress markers so it would match the flowers. I fussy cut the banner and adhered it to the circle piece. I then popped up the circle piece on the card and adhered a pretty bow that I had made with the White Organza ribbon in the collection. To finish this card, I added two enamel dots. I love how this one turned out!

Collection Three: Bloom Wildly
My third card came together pretty quickly. I adhered the beautiful paper to a card front of Spearmint card stock. I then trimmed a piece of the green patterned paper and mat it with a slightly larger strip of Spearmint card stock. I adhered the layers together and then adhered them to a white card base from my stash. I stamped the beautiful sentiment with Tattered Rose Distress Oxide ink in my Stamp Platform so I would get a nice crisp image. I then die cut it with a standard circle die and adhered it to a scalloped circle that I had die cut from Grout Grey card stock. I popped up the scalloped circle on the card with foam squares and added a couple buttons and tied a sweet little bow with the twine included in the collection.
And then I decided to add a delicate little butterfly. I stamped the butterfly on vellum paper with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink and heat embossed a fine clear embossing powder being careful not to warp the paper. I then flipped over the butterfly and colored it with Tumbled Glass and Tattered Rose Distress markers. I wish that I had just gone with Tumbled Glass so the butterfly would pop a bit more on the card, but it was already adhered to the card with some vellum tape. I still love how the card turned out though.

Collection Four: Daisy Garden
One of my most favorite flowers is daisies!! I especially love white daisies so I honestly said "Ahhh" when I saw this sweet collection but the papers... OMG!! Seriously amazing and gorgeous!! I can't wait to play more with them and share more inspiration with you all this month! Back to the card... so our
sketches this month included a tall and skinny sketch from Mojo Monday that is meant to fit in an A2 envelope but I decided to go bigger. My card measures 4 x 9-1/8" and will fit very nicely in a No. 10 envelope, also known as a business envelope. I cut a card front (4 x 9-1/8") from Grout Grey card stock and adhered it to a white card base from my stash measuring 8 x 9-1/8" that I scored and folded in half.
I trimmed the daisy paper to 3-7/8 x 5-7/8" and then cut it lengthwise giving me two pieces - 3-7/8 x 1-7/8" and 3-7/8 x 4". I then cut the kraft wood grain paper with hearts to 3-7/8 x 3-1/8". I adhered those papers to the card with liquid glue so I'd have a chance to move them to make sure they were lined up and straight. I then cut out two stitched flags from the other pretty kraft wood grain papers. I adhered those together and then adhered them to the card. I received the cool zig zag die in my Banana Split goodies and thought it would be a fun accent to use across the card. I die cut it three times from a scrap of the Grout Grey card stock and adhered them across the card.
I set the card aside and got to stamping. I'm not sure if you've noticed but I've used my very neglected Distress markers on most of my cards today. I thought it would be fun to use them one more time and color up the daisies and the sentiment for this card. I did this using a Stamp Platform so I could stamp the images a few time to get a nice stamped image using the markers to ink up the stamps. I love the way the flowers turned out with lighter and darker parts... gives it texture and dimension. I die cut the flowers and sentiment with a circle die and then mat it on a slightly larger die cut circle from Grout Grey card stock. I popped up the circle piece on the card with foam squares and then finished off this card by adhering a couple paper daisies.

I know this was a little long... I sure hope that if you've stuck around to the end that it was informative and helpful reading the steps that I took to make these cards.
