Polka Dot Orchard ~ You Are Everything ~ Absolutely Beautiful!

Hello crafty friends!
I have a card to share today that I started a few months ago while my family was moving. I had combined these fabulous digi images from Polka Dot Orchard's You Are Everything digi set onto a Word document and then printed it. This is a larger card measuring 6" x 4-1/4"... I could easily resize the images and make it into an A2 sized card, but I plan on hand delivering this one so I don't have to worry about extra postage to mail it.

I had misplaced this partially colored image while we were moving, so I was really happy to finally find it so I can finish coloring it. Do you ever come back to finish coloring something and you can't quite get the same coloring technique?! I had three petals left to color on the large flower... can you guess which three? It's pretty obvious to me... but I wonder if my crafty friends can tell. LOL!

I used Prismacolor pencils to color in my image. I used the Colorless Blender pencil to blend my colors and I also used the white Prismacolor pencil to blend... one of my favorite ways to blend my prismacolor pencils!

I adhered my colored panel to a piece of Melon Mambo card stock (SU!) and then adhered that to a 6" x 4-1/4" piece of Amethyst Allure card stock (PTI) that I adhered to a white card base. I added a few drops of Nuvo Purple Rain Glitter Drops. I tapped my card on my desk a few times to get the drops to flatten and then set it aside to dry.

Thanks so much for checking out my blog post!
See ya next time.

The Rabbit Hole Designs ~ Caffeinated Friends!

Hi there crafty friends!
A quick post from me today sharing a couple cards I made over the weekend using stamps from The Rabbit Hole Designs' fabulous Caffeinated line of stamps!

A little stenciling and a strip of summer patterned paper from Carta Bella's Summer Splash paper pad made this quick card even quicker! I colored the Caffeinated Flamingo with the following Copic markers ~ RV0000, RV02, RV52, RV63, Y06, Y35, N0, N2, N5, N7.

This card was stubborn... much like this Caffeinated Rabbit looks to be! LOL!
I tried adding more paper and layers and Mr. Rabbit just wouldn't have it so I just added the die cut sentiment that I cut from the same Summer Splash papers and die cut the panel with a wonky stitched rectangle die. I fussy cut Mr. Rabbit and adhered him to the card over a little shading I added to the panel. I used the following Copic markers for this card ~ N0, N2, R20, BG11, BG32.
I'm entering Mr. Caffeinated Rabbit in the CASology: Summer Challenge.

That's it for me today! Two simple, but cute cards! Be sure to check out The Rabbit Hole Designs... their June release was revealed today and it's ADORBS!!

Unity Stamp Company ~ Mer-Mazing ~ Guide Your Heart

Hey there crafty friends!
Sooo... I couldn't help but make another card using the gorgeous Mer-Mazing stamp set from Unity Stamp Company! Can you blame me?! Look at how gorgeous she is!!

This time I went with a monochromatic feel but with a twist because I didn't just use one purple for my card, I changed up the purples depending on what part of the image I was coloring.

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:
Mermaid ~ V000, V04, V12
Skin ~ E000, E51
Sky ~ V0000
Water ~ BV20, BV23
Rock ~ V93, V95

I die cut the image with he Reverse Confetti Stitched Squares die and then set it aside. I die cut white card stock using the Stampin' Up Striped Scallop die and adhered a portion of it to the bottom right corner of a 5" square card base of Plum Pudding card stock. I adhered the square panel to the card base using a liquid glue and then punched out the sentiment. I layered it on a punched out piece of Plum Pudding card stock using the same punch... but I offset it to help it pop off the background.

To finish off the card, I added a few drops of the Fairy Wings Nuvo Dream Drops... love the shimmer in these drops!! Love how this turned out!! I hope you do too!

Unity Stamp Company ~ Graciellie Designs ~ My Sympathies

Hello crafty friends!
Today I have a couple of cards to share... the kind of cards that are necessary sometimes to make, but not as fun because of the reason for the card. I found myself in need of a couple of sympathy cards so I checked out my favorite sketch challenge blogs and found this one...

from Freshly Made Sketches #389 ...perfect for a simple sympathy card!

I pulled out the My Sympathies sentiment kit by Graciellie Designs from Unity Stamp Company and went simple with a little watercoloring and the sentiment embossed on vellum over top... subtle and soft with an offset edged layer.

Here's a close-up of the embossed sentiment.

For my second card, I went with kraft and black... I used Unity Stamp Company's Don't Give Up sentiment kit along with the same sentiment from the first card. A simple and quick card that literally took me... maybe 5 minutes.

If you ever find yourself stuck designing a card, be sure to check out the sketch challenges... Freshly Made Sketches is one of my favorites!

Here's a quick look at the May 2019 Myths and Legends card kit...

I am loving this month's kit so much! So many adorable stamps and beautiful papers!
Let's dive right in and check out the cards I created so we can keep hopping along...

Collection One: Nessie
I simplified the sketch for my first card because I just couldn't cover up these pretty papers!
I kept with the circle theme throughout the card putting the focal image in a circle. I masked my image to blend the waves but realized that it makes it look like Nessie is floating over the water... lol... well, I went back over and blended lightly again this time going over Nessie and it's still hard to see. Oh well... I'm still loving it! Rather than cut a scalloped trim for the edge I decided to cut a strip of the scallops in one of the beautiful papers in the kit. Love the mix of colors! To finish this card off I added those five sequins inside the circles... love the simple but fun touch it gives the card!

Supplies used (not found in the kit):
Copics ~ BG11, BG13, BG32; BV000, BV04
Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
MFT Make Waves stencil

Collection Two: Pretty Little Rainbows
I loved that one of the sketches was for a circle shaped card! So fun! I started by cutting my card base from the Sweet Corn card stock. I used a large circle die to cut this out. I then die cut a scalloped circle out of the pretty rainbow papers. I stamped a combination of the stars repeatedly over the rainbow paper and adhered it to the card base. I stamped the adorable pegasus stamp and colored it in. I fussy cut it out and popped it up on the card. I stamped the sentiments and adhered them to the card. The last touch for this one is that faux bow I made with the pretty ribbon in the kit. I just tied a knot and cut the ends to look like a bow. I used a glue dot to adhere it to the card.

Supplies used (not found in the kit):
Copics ~ R81, R85, YR00, YR02, YR24, Y000, Y02, YG0000, YG21, G000, B0000, B000, N0, N2
Tumbled Glass, Scattered Straw, and Spun Sugar Distress Ink
MFT Essential Slanted Sentiment Strips

Collection Three: Fairy's Garden
So, I've become a bit obsessed with making cloud backgrounds... I just love them!! I knew for this sketch I just had to make another one. I kept the layers simple for this card so the focal image could... well, just be the focal image! Lol! I tied the pretty twine around the top panel before adhering it to the Sour Apple card base. To finish off this card, I adhered the pink paper flower and added a bunch of sequins to the center of the flower. So pretty!

Supplies used (not found in the kit):
Copics ~ E000, E51, E55, E57, E59, RV10, RV11, RV21
Tumbled Glass Distress Ink
MFT Mini Cloud Edges stencil

Collection Four: Gnomie Home
I adore how this card turned out and it was so simple!! I loved this forest scene paper and I layered it on another piece of beautiful green paper in the kit. I adhered these layers to a white card base. I then cut a strip of the bright green paper and stamped the sentiment from the exclusive sentiment stamp set by Scrapping for Less only available in the Banana Split subscription. Love love love this sentiment!! I stamped it using VersaMark watermark ink and heat embossed a fine white embossing powder. I stamped the adorable gnome couple and colored them in. I fussy cut them and then popped them up on the card. I adhered the sentiment strip using liquid glue and then added the sequins.

Supplies used (not found in the kit):
Copics ~ B04, B24, R14, R20, R27, E000, E51, E55, E57, E59, G12, G14, Y000, Y06,
Y17, Y35, Y38, N0, N2

Here's a close-up of the adorable gnome couple!! Love this stamp!

I sure hope that you've enjoyed the cards I've shared today!
Your next stop is... Luci

Scrapping for Less ~ May 2019 Flavor of the Month Sneak Peek

Hello there crafty friends!
I have a fabulous sneak peek today for the May 2019 Flavor of the Month card kit!
Each month I am blown away by these fabulous kits... Absolutely love this month's kit!!

I did a little stamping on my pink card front using VersaMark watermark ink so the little butterflies are faint in the background. Love the subtle touch it gives! I added a strip of one of the gorgeous papers in the collection and then set the card aside. I stamped all of my images onto a small piece of white card stock measuring 2-3/4" x 3-3/4". I stamped the images again on post it notes, fussy cut them out and the applied them to the stamped images. I then lightly blended my background... when done, I removed the masks and colored the sweet images with the following Copic markers:
Butterflies ~ BG000, BG01, BG53
Skin ~ E000, E00
Wings ~ RV0000, RV10
Hair ~ RV10, RV11, RV21
Dresses/Shoes ~ YG0000, YG23, YG25

I mat the focal image with the green card stock in the kit and popped it up on the card with foam tape from my stash. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of white card stock and then partially popped it up (on the bottom) and adhered the top portion with liquid glue. To finish off the card, I added a few sequins in groups of two. So cute!!

The May 2019 Myths & Legends card kit goes live tonight at Midnight EST!!
Be sure to order yours before they are all gone!!

Unity Stamp Company ~ Mer-Mazing is Seriously Amazing!

Hi there crafty peeps!
I'm so excited to share a new release from Unity Stamp Company called Mer-Mazing!!! Oh my goodness!! I love love love this gorgeous mermaid stamp created by Angie Blom!
Isn't she gorgeous!?! Love!

I decided to make a Faux Shaker so to start I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils blending with the Colorless Blender pencil. I die cut the panel with the Gina Marie Designs' Frames Scalloped Stitched Rectangles die. I then adhered the inner panel to a white card base using liquid glue and popped up the outer frame with foam tape. I adhered a bunch of sequins from the Ariel sequins by Unity Stamp Company... I thought this mix was fitting especially for a mermaid card... and luckily the colors matched perfectly! LOL!

I trimmed the sentiment and mat each portion with Plum Pudding card stock. I adhered the sentiment to the card and bam! Done! Love how this turned out!

Hope you've enjoyed my card too! Thanks for checking out my blog!
See ya next time.

Polka Dot Orchard ~ Endless Potential ~ Make Iced Tea

Hey there crafty friends!!
I have a quick card to share with you today using the brand new Endless Potential digi set from Polka Dot Orchard!! Oh my goodness... how cute is the cup?!

I adore it!! I also love the fun fonts for this digi set!
I combined all of the images on a document in word and printed off my sheet.
Colored up this image with the following Copic markers ~ E000, E11, E13, G12, G14, B0000, B00, Y000, Y13, RV0000, RV10, RV52.

I die cut a piece of Lovely Lady card stock using the Gina Marie Designs' Nested Scalloped Stitched Rectangle dies. I trimmed the colored image and then adhered it to the scalloped layer. I adhered the entire panel to a white card base. I added a few sequins from my stash... they aren't labeled so I'm not sure where I got them... and called this sweet card done!

Scrapping for Less ~ Lawn Fawn ~ Lovable Legends 3 Ways

Hey there crafty friends!
I'm here today with a trio of cards using Lawn Fawn's Lovable Legends stamp set!
I thought it might be fun to share a trio of cards starting with a simple design and then building from that design to a slightly more involved card design.

My first card started with a simple stenciled background using the Echo Park Good Vibes Stripe stencil along with the Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink that I blended over the stencil. Once my background was done, I die cut it with a wonky rectangle die. I then cut a 1" strip of the beautiful Watercolor Foil paper from Pink & Main and fussy cut the little flag end on one side. I adhered it to the panel and then trimmed off the excess.

I stamped the super cute sentiment directly on the panel and then adhered the entire panel to a white card base. I stamped the bigfoot character three times and decided for my card design... he'd be a cute yeti so I colored him very simply with the following Copic markers ~ N0, N1, N2, B0000, B00, Colorless Blender. I fussy cut my cute yeti and popped him up on the card.
So this is my first card design... pretty simple, right?! But still adorable!!

For my next card, to add a little somethin' somethin' and bring it up a step from simple,  I decided to blend the background using distress oxide inks. I used Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink. I then blended Tumbled Glass distress oxide ink over the same Good Vibes Stripe stencil that I used on the first card. I love the subtle stripes it made on the background! I die cut the panel with the same wonky rectangle die and adhered it directly on a white card base.

I adhered a strip of the Watercolor Foil paper just like the first card, but this time I stamped the sentiments on scraps of white card stock. I used a banner die to cut out the 'Have An' sentiment and fussy cut the 'Unbelievable Birthday'. I adhered both sentiment directly to the card. I popped up the cute yeti and to finish off this card I added a couple of trees that I stamped from the same set using green inks in my stash. I love how the Watercolor Foil paper breaks up the stripes of the background and the foil in the paper adds a pretty shine for interest.

Are you ready for the third and final card... ?!

Whatcha think?! I'm a little partial to the background on this one because I love splatter!! I created the background the very same as the second card, but I added water and white acrylic paint splatters. I adhered the strip of  Watercolor Foil paper and the top sentiment directly to the card, but I popped up the bottom sentiment using foam tape. I adhered more trees to surround Mr. Yeti... huh, just decided to name him... LOL! I also popped up the two trees on the far right. My final touch to finish this card was to add some random dots to the trees using a white gel pen... almost like snow falling on the trees from the splatter in the background.

Here's a picture showing all of the cards together. I had a bunch of fun making these cards to share with you... I hope that you've enjoyed seeing the different steps in adding interest and dimension to the cards! I hope this inspires you to try different levels of cardmaking!!

Unity Stamp Company ~ Time to Refresh ~ Hello Sunshine Girl

Hello there crafty friends!
I am so excited to share this card with you today. The idea for this one has been in my head for awhile but when I tried to put it together I got stuck... does that ever happen to you? Well, I walked away and worked on other projects until I figured out how to finish this beauty off.

I thought it would be fun to pair the flowers from Time to Refresh with the beautiful girl from Hello Sunshine Girl... I colored in three of the flowers and a bunch of leaves, but I only ended up using two. I fussy cut them all out. I then colored in the girl and fussy cut her out. I set all of those images aside and pulled out an impression plate called Sunrise by Papertrey Ink (I don't think it's available anymore, unfortunately). The impression plate is like a mix between a die and an embossing folder... by that I mean that it's a metal plate, but it doesn't cut. It just embosses the paper. Anywho, so I ran a piece of kraft card stock through the Big Shot with the impression plate and then using copic markers, I colored in the embossed portions... isn't that cool!? I love coloring on kraft with copic markers. It gives a muted touch to the coloring... such a fun effect!

I used the following Copic markers on my card:

Skin/lips ~ E000, E21, E51, R11, R14
Hair ~ Y21, E42, E43, E44
Blouse/Skirt ~ V000, V04, V12
Flowers/Sun ~ Y000, Y06, Y13, Y17, Y19
Leaves ~ YG01, YG05, YG23
Bag ~ B91, B95, B97

I adhered all of my layers onto a kraft card base, only popping up the girl with foam tape. I added some white gel pen to the stamens on the flowers, the button on the bag, and just a touch on the sun. I added some simply white gloss dots on the Hello Sunshine Girl's necklace... I did this by dabbing a toothpick in a small glob and then just barely touching the little pearls in her necklace. It gives such a fun dimension to her necklace... love it! I added a few dandelion yellow gloss dots to the card and that finished off my card for today!

Here's a close up of my card! I sure hope you like it... if you do, please leave me a comment and let me know! I'd love to read your comments!

Unity Stamp Company ~ Time to Refresh

Hey crafty peeps!
I'm sharing a card I made for the new release and big birthday sale over at Unity Stamp Company
using the gorgeous Time to Refresh kit.

I went with a simple design using patterned paper... these papers are called Vintage Bliss by Simple Stories. So pretty! I decided to use the pink (yup, still on a pink kick!) from the papers to color the flowers. I stamped and colored three flowers, fussy cut them out and adhered them to the card. The center flower is popped up with foam tape.

I used the following Copic markers for this card ~ RV0000, RV10, RV11, R00, Y06, Y19

I stamped the sentiment in the center top portion of the white card base. And to finish off the card, I added some clear wink of stella to the center of the flowers.

I sure wish you could see the beautiful glittery goodness in the center of those flowers.
You'll just have to trust me! :)

This lovely set is still on sale... go snatch it up before the sale ends...

Polka Dot Orchard ~ Coffee Lovers Spring I Summer 2019 Blog Hop

Hi there crafty peeps!
I have one last card for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!
I can't believe that it's the last day of the hop! So sad!
But I have had a blast creating and hopping... checking out
all the fabulous inspiration shared... just awesome!

My last card is featuring the gorgeous coffee cup found in the Polka Dot Orchard digi set
called The Way of Beauty. I absolutely love that Jessica used the flower from her logo for this image!! Absolutely gorgeous!! And a blast to color too!

Knowing that my time today was limited, I wanted a card design that would be quick so I pulled out my Simple Impressions: Celebrations Patterned Paper collection from Papertrey Ink which gave me a great layer to start with. I die cut the paper with a rectangle die and adhered that to an Aqua Mist layer that I had die cut with a scalloped die. I adhered both layers to a white card base and then got to coloring!! I used the following Copic markers on the image ~ Y000, Y06, Y13, Y17,
Y19, N0, N1, BG000, BG15

I die cut the sentiment with a banner die and popped it up on the card. I also popped up the coffee cup on the card using foam tape. My final touch was some enamel dots in a similar color.
Love how this turned out!! I sure hope you've enjoyed my last card for the hop!

Thanks so much for checking out my blog!
See ya next time.

Scrapping for Less ~ Unicorn Marci with Watercolor Foil Paper

Hi there crafty peeps!
I'm sharing an adorable card today using Unicorn Marci and some absolutely beautiful
paper from Pink & Main called Watercolor Foil.

I shared a card last week using Unicorn Marci... you can check out that card here ---> Unicorn Marci with Coffee Distress Oxide Watercolor card! I watercolored my card for last week, but for this week I wanted to use bright colors to coordinate the beautiful Watercolor Foil papers so I stamped Unicorn Marci using Gina K Designs Amalgam black ink and then colored her in using the
following Copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E21, E51, R20
Hair ~ E42, E43, E44, Y21
Pajamas ~ RV10, RV14, RV17, RV25, N0, N1
Slipper boots ~ N0, N1, Colorless Blender

I die cut the Watercolor Foil papers and adhered them to a white card base. I then fussy cut Unicorn Marci and set her aside. I die cut some clouds that I lightly sponged with some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink but any blue oxide ink would work. There happens to be this ink in the shop ---> Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink... which would work just as well when lightly sponged on.

I adhered the die cut clouds with liquid glue so I could adjust them quickly before they set.
I popped up my fussy cut Unicorn Marci with foam tape. I then stamped the cute sentiment
on white card stock with Gina K Designs Amalgam black ink, fussy cut a flag, and then popped it
up on the card. I just love that beautiful shine from the foil in the Watercolor Foil papers!
So pretty! I sure hope you've enjoyed my card!

Unity Stamp Company ~ Coffee Lovers Spring I Summer 2019 Blog Hop

Hi crafty peeps!
Can you believe that there's only a couple more days for the Spring/Summer Coffee
Lover's Blog Hop?! I can't believe it's almost over!! So sad... but I have a fabulous new release to share with you from Unity Stamp Company called Cafe Delights!!

When I saw the gorgeous Cafe Delights stamp set, I just knew I had to combine it with my first and most favorite Unity stamp of all times... Dream of Being!! I decided to go with rich browns for the building and some pops of red and yellow to finish it off. The Dream of Being image just had to be colored with a light aqua to contrast the rich colors. I used the following Copic markers for my card:

Sky/clouds ~ B0000, N0
Sidewalk ~ N0, N2, N4
Menu ~ N2, N5, E57
Cafe/open sign ~ Y06, Y19
Building ~ E07, E08, E09, E55, E57, E59, N0, N2
Canopy/tables ~ R14, R27, R29
Dream of Being Girl ~ E000, E51, BG10, BG32, E55, E57, E59, R14, N2

I used the Newton's Nook Square die to die cut my colored image and the back layer of Aqua Mist card stock. I adhered the layers with mono multi liquid glue and then popped up the whole square panel with foam tape onto a 5 x 5" square card base. I fussy cut the Dream of Being girl and adhered her directly to the panel with liquid glue. I decided to go without a sentiment on the front... I just couldn't cover any of the front panel.

Here's a close up of the colored images. Love love love the new Cafe Delights kit!!

The Rabbit Hole Designs ~ Coffee Lovers Spring I Summer 2019 Blog Hop

Hey crafty peeps!!
So, a few days ago I shared another card using The Rabbit Hole Designs stamps... you can check that card out here ---> Handmade Brew card. When I made the background for that card, I also made this background that I set aside just for the Caffeinated Rabbit! I have been just itching to ink this guy up!! I love this stamp so much!

This was totally me this morning!! LOL...
So, I considered just leaving the background as is, but as I was reaching for my stitched rectangle die and I saw the Cover Up Stitched Clouds die by Lil' Inker Designs.  I thought it would make the background even better and I have to say that I love it! I very simply colored the rabbit with just a little touch of N0, N2, and R20 Copic markers. The cup was colored with V01 and V06. Now I was gluing down the rabbit and decided to put a little grey mat under him... imagine me doing a mad dash for the grey card stock LOL!! Well, since I was in a hurry I just hand cut my oval-ish mat and glued it hastily down and then finished adhering the rabbit. It was all very hare-ied *wink* *wink* and hilarious to me, anyway!

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of the same grey card stock using VersaMark watermark ink and then heat embossed a fine white embossing powder. I trimmed the sentiment down to a flag and then popped it up on the panel. The main panel is also popped up on the white card base.
There you have it... a fun, quick card!

There's a couple more days for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. I sure
hope you've had a chance to play along!!

Thanks so much for checking out my blog post!

Unity Stamp Company ~ Pretty Girl Smile

Hey crafty peeps!
Have you checked out the Unity Stamp Company birthday celebration sale yet?!
Sooo many fabulous stamps... including this new release!!

You can get this beautiful stamp here ---> Pretty Girl Smile

I went with a simple design for this card... I wanted to showcase the beautiful girl so I thought a frame die would be perfect!! I have a slight obsession with camera papers so it was easy enough to find a pretty paper to use... American Crafts Shimelle Collection. I'm also on a bit of a pink kick lately... not my usual color, but I'm loving how her outfit turned out! I added some film paper that I stapled to the frame making the bends as I went before adhering the frame to the white card base. My last little touch was that cute little wooden camera element. Love it!

I used the following Copic markers for this card ~ E0000, E000, E51, YR23,
YR27, R59, C00, C3, C7, RV10, RV11, RV21

Thanks so much for checking out my blog post!
