The Rabbit Hole Designs ~ Coffee Lovers Spring I Summer 2019 Blog Hop

Hey crafty peeps!!
So, a few days ago I shared another card using The Rabbit Hole Designs stamps... you can check that card out here ---> Handmade Brew card. When I made the background for that card, I also made this background that I set aside just for the Caffeinated Rabbit! I have been just itching to ink this guy up!! I love this stamp so much!

This was totally me this morning!! LOL...
So, I considered just leaving the background as is, but as I was reaching for my stitched rectangle die and I saw the Cover Up Stitched Clouds die by Lil' Inker Designs.  I thought it would make the background even better and I have to say that I love it! I very simply colored the rabbit with just a little touch of N0, N2, and R20 Copic markers. The cup was colored with V01 and V06. Now I was gluing down the rabbit and decided to put a little grey mat under him... imagine me doing a mad dash for the grey card stock LOL!! Well, since I was in a hurry I just hand cut my oval-ish mat and glued it hastily down and then finished adhering the rabbit. It was all very hare-ied *wink* *wink* and hilarious to me, anyway!

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of the same grey card stock using VersaMark watermark ink and then heat embossed a fine white embossing powder. I trimmed the sentiment down to a flag and then popped it up on the panel. The main panel is also popped up on the white card base.
There you have it... a fun, quick card!

There's a couple more days for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop. I sure
hope you've had a chance to play along!!

Thanks so much for checking out my blog post!
See ya next time.

~ Friends of Unity February Blog Hop ~

Hello! It's time for another Friends of Unity hop and our theme this month is fitting for the month of February... LOVE! Unity has a huge selection of kits that can be used for Love cards! It's really almost overwhelming... but that's a good thing! That means they have something for everyone's likes and tastes! Yay!

I woke up one morning last week with this very card in mind using the Bryna Girl kit from Unity's line of Angie girls. Isn't it funny how inspiration can just hit you out of nowhere?! And this was before I had even had my coffee! Say what?! Amazing!

I had picked up a bunch of papers from the Hobby Lobby last time I went there and I remembered this super fun distressed cloud paper. I thought, why not run it through my Big Shot with the stitched clouds cover die from Lil' Inker Designs... so I did! How cute!? I adhered it to the top portion of a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" piece of thin card stock. I adhered a piece of distressed wood paper to the bottom portion for my ground. Once all those were adhered, I ran the whole piece through my Big Shot with a larger die from My Favorite Things. There were really so many pretty papers to play with that I just HAD to add some pink brick papers to the edge with a fun scallop! It covered up a bit of the pretty stitched edge, but I'm ok with that. I adhered my background piece to a kraft card base and set it aside.

Now for the fun... some paper piecing and a tiny bit of coloring. I stamped Bryna Girl using Memento tuxedo black ink and then colored her skin in using E50, E51, & E53 copic markers. I colored her hair in using E51, E55, & E57. I also colored the bottom portion of the shoes with E50 & E53; filled in the background with BG72; and lastly, her bracelet with R14. I stamped Bryna Girl again on a bunch of different papers and fussy cut pieces out to paper piece her outfit and even the tops of her shoes. I love paper piecing... it's a lot like paper dolls with so many possibilities!

I also paper pieced the heart balloon and fussy cut it. I originally had the string still attached but then I thought it would be fun to use some twine so I used a small circle punch to pop a little hole where her hand is in the pocket. I slipped the white baker's twine through there a couple of times to cover up the black 'string' still on her hand and then I tied the other end to the balloon with a bow. I popped up Bryna Girl and the balloon on the card using dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white card stock and fussy cut a banner and then trimmed a piece of the distressed wood paper for a mat. I used a staple to attach the two pieces and then popped up the sentiment. I love how this turned out! What do you think?

Now let's go see what the other hoppers have, shall we?! I believe there's also a giveaway on our hop! Before you hop away though, I'd love to hear your thoughts... leave me a comment below. :)

CYCI165 - Birthday Wishes Sent Your Way

Hello! I have a fun card today with colors that I had chosen for this week's challenge. I sure hope that you will play along!! My card is a special birthday card for my niece. She celebrated her birthday by having a moonlit party. How fun is that?! I wanted to bring that fun to her card just a bit.

I stamped Unity's Patience Girl in VersaMark ink and heat embossed her in black. I watercolored her using the ZIG markers. Once the panel was dry, I die cut the edge using a new border die that I had recently ordered called Border Builders dies by Lil' Inker Designs. I just recently... like two days ago... received my Distress Oxide inks and I was able to use a few of those colors to make the card base look like a night sky. Love that there are more colors available! I stamped the sentiment from Unity's June Kit of the Month called Time to Enjoy Life using Versamark and then heat embossed it in white. I cut the banner by hand and popped it up on the card. I added a few drops of white Nuvo drops. And there you have it!

This is our second to last challenge for Can You Case It? I sure hope you'll play along!

CYCI164 - Another Year Wiser!

Hello! I have a cute birthday card to share with you this week. I used some of Stampin' Up!'s retired Tasty Treats Specialty DSP from my stash for this one. I thought it would be perfect for a birthday card and I think it pairs up well with these adorable owls from Unity's Hoot Hoot Hooray kit. What do you think?

I've had this layout in mind since I saw the sketch for this week. I just love this new set of dies I got from Lil' Inker Designs called Anytime Tags. It's so versatile and worked perfectly for this week's sketch. I die cut the stitched rectangle and adhered it to a white card base. I die cut the tags in the DSP and then a plain piece of white card stock. I stamped the little owls onto the white piece of card stock using my mini Misti. I then colored the little owls using Copics. I adhered the little owl piece onto the DSP tag. I then popped up that entire piece using stampin dimensionals and adhered it to the card base. I stamped the sentiment using Memento tuxedo black ink. I die cut the sentiment and the little banner end piece using My Favorite Things Blueprints #31. I adhered the banner/sentiment piece and then added a few tiny sequins from Stampin' Up!'s retired Sprinkles Embellishments at the end of the sentiment and around the DSP. I think it turned out cute.

I've linked most of the products I used above. Here are the rest of the products I used for this card:
Copics: R14, R24, R27, BG11, G21, E95
