Advent Calendar 2025 Day 14 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!

It's Day 14 of the 2025 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I'm back with a bright and fun card. This is a fabulous design for a quick card.

Today's stamp is a wonderful sentiment. So fun! I stamped it with Picked Raspberry Distress ink.

Inspiration for my card came from the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 27! This is a great sketch for pattern paper scraps.

I die cut the sentiment using a die from the Scallops & Circles{nesting dies}. Popped it up on the card using foam tape.

I paired up the sentiment with the Sun's Out, Sass Out {paper pack}. I love how bright and fun this card turned out!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 27 ~ A Little Ruffled ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing a bit more inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 27 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I had a fun idea to turn the sketch for a card featuring the adorable chicken from the A Little Ruffled stamps from Unity.

The sweet chicken is stamped with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and then colored up with a handful of Copic markers: E21, E23, YR21, YR15, YR27. I paired up the adorable chicken with the Enveloped in Love {paper pack}. I was drawn to the colors in the paper for this one and really the sweet chicken looks like it needs some love so these papers are perfect! I had some scraps of the papers in my paper pack and thought it would be fun to tear them. What do you think? Maybe I should have torn the small tag on the focal image too?

I feel my cards are a good example of that, as I'm always making adjustments... this time I turned the sketch and added a tag focal piece.

I used the Make a Tag {die set} for my tag layers. I combined three fun ribbons from my stash and tied them together with some twine. Totally inspired by Jenni Shamblin's pumpkin card from our Friends of Unity hop this month! I love how she mixed ribbons... not sure mine worked as nicely but going with it anyways. LOL! The tag is popped up on the card with Scrapbook Adhesive Crafty Foam Tape.

I embossed the sentiment on Kraft card stock with Sugar Cube White Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions and Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe and the powder is melted with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. I'm having so much fun with this sketch! I hope you can find time to play along! There's still a few days to play! The challenge ends on Monday, November 25th. I can't wait to see what you create. Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 27 ~ Frosty & Feisty Pissy Kitty ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing a bit more inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 27 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I couldn't resist inking up the new Frosty & Feisty Pissy Kitty from Unity... HILARIOUS!! I love it!

I used up a few more strips of the pattern paper I'm trying to finish off. These papers are from a company that's no longer in business, unfortunately. I love them! I'm hoping to use up the scraps soon and share the cards with you all. Maybe next week..? We'll have to see.

I feel my cards are a good example of that, as I'm always making adjustments... like this time I added a circle element for the kitty and a second sentiment.

I die cut Frosty & Feisty Pissy Kitty with a circle die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. And adhered it to the card. My paper layers are adhered to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" panel of Smoky Slate card stock from Stampin' Up.

The kitty is colored with Copic markers. I added the snow back to the image with a Sakura White Gelly Roll pen. The hilarious sentiments were trimmed and popped up on the card with foam tape. This card just makes me giggle so much!

Brown Thursday IG Hop ~ Juniper Girl ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend! 

Have you seen the awesome Brown Thursday Sale over at Unity Stamp Co.!?! What's Brown Thursday, you ask? Well, it's Unity's version of Black Friday and it's filled with a HUGE new release and a fabulous sale! I shared a lovely encouragement card yesterday featuring a new release. Today I'm sharing a cute holiday card for the Brown Thursday Instagram Hop that the Unity Design Team is having in celebration of Brown Thursday! Head over to IG and check it out... there's prizes!!

A super fun and cute holiday card featuring the adorable new Juniper Girl!! I love this beautiful new girl! I stamped her on a piece of Stampers Select white card stock from Papertrey Ink along with the sentiment. I colored Juniper Girl up with my Copic markers and fussy cut her leaving a white border.  I die cut the sentiment using a die from the Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies. I also die cut a mat from Pure Poppy card stock, also from Papertrey Ink.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Hair: E33, E35, E37

Hat / Scarf: C00, C2, R20, R14, R27

Cup: C00, C2, G00, G12, G05

I paired up Juniper Girl with the gorgeous Watercolor Tidings {paper pack}. I die cut a piece of Pure Poppy card stock using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. And then adhered the pretty papers. I fussy cut Juniper Girl leaving a white border and adhered her on the panel. The panel is adhered to a Kraft A2 top fold card base.

Inspiration for my card today comes from the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 27. When I'm stuck on a design it's so handy to just look through my stack of sketches to see what inspires me. I couldn't help but use the current sketch... it's so easy!

I wanted to add a 'Merry Christmas' sentiment so I die cut the Merry Christmas from the Greetings of the Season {die set} from Pure Poppy card stock three times. I adhered them all together for some wonderful dimension. I die cut the shadow from Vellum card stock, also from Papertrey Ink. I love how the vellum makes the sentiment pop but it doesn't take away from the image I colored. Well, that's it for me today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 27 ~ Roger Guy ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Today I'm sharing a bit more inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 27 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I found myself in need of a birthday card so I thought this easy sketch would be perfect!

I pulled out my scraps from the beautiful Pastel Party Parade {paper pack}. Knowing that I was making a masculine card, I really just wanted the sentiment pattern paper. I trimmed three panels to fit on the white A2 top fold card.

I stamped the handsome Roger Guy with Black Amalgam ink and colored him up with my Copic markers. The t-shirt was looking a little plain so I added some texture with dots. I think it's fun! 

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up Roger Guy:

Watch: N0, N1, N4, N6

Shirt: G00, G02, G07, G09

Jeans: B91, B95, B97

I trimmed the sentiment from a scrap of the pattern paper. Mat it with True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink. And then I popped up the sentiment with foam tape for some fun dimension. Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 27 ~ Merry Whatever ~ Unity Stamp Co.

It's time for a fun, new sketch challenge! Today I'm sharing my first card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 27 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. Another great sketch for scraps! I inked up the hilarious Merry Whatever kitty from Unity!

I paired up the funny kitty with the beautiful Watercolor Winter {paper pack}, also from Unity. I had these purr-fect paper scraps in my paper pack. LOL!

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 27. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I'm not even sure what the measurements of my paper scraps are... I do know that they were all 4" wide.

 I stamped the fun kitty with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs and colored him up with my Copic markers. There's so much detail to this kitty that coloring is a breeze. Not to mention there's no need to color the antlers or really the hat if you don't want to. But I decided to color the hat to coordinate a bit with the colors in the papers.

Here's a super quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Kitty: N0, N2, N4, R00, R20

Eyes: YG11, YG25

Hat: R20, R14, R27

I fussy cut and adhered the kitty directly to the card. I heat embossed the sentiment on Pure Poppy card stock from Papertrey Ink. Die cut it with a die from the Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting dies. I added a strip of foam tape to the back and popped it up on the card. I finished off the card with a few bits of red confetti from the Hologram Red Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs. This was such a super quick and fun card to make!
