Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 25 ~ September Scraps

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 25 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I've cracked open another pack of leftover papers and made a super fast card just using scraps!

I love how fast this card came together! Just a few tweaks and cuts and it was done!

Here's a look at the scraps I chose for September. Not quite a Fall theme but the colors could really be used for a Fall card. The row of papers on the top are all 6x6", otherwise all the other papers are bits and pieces.

I trimmed the floral paper down to 4 x 5-1/4" and adhered it to an A2 top fold card of Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink. I then trimmed the ruler paper into strips just using the lines on the paper as a guide. I adhered the ruler paper to the floral paper.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 25. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I like to think my inspiration is usually a good example of this since I'm always adjusting the sketch. Today is good example as I turned the sketch for a portrait card and adjusted the sentiment.

I decided to trim the chicken circle that was in with my scraps. The white was too bright. I carefully pulled up the tail of the right chicken and just trimmed the white off going slightly under the green background. I die cut a stitched circle from Kraft card stock using a die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from Unity. And then I heat embossed a sentiment from the adorable Bobbie Sue Girl stamps, also from Unity. This was such a fun and quick card! I hope you've been inspired to pull out those scraps and use them up! Have an inktastic week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal
