Unity Advent Calendar 2024 Day 10 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's Day 10 of the 2024 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I was inspired to make a shaker card today but chickened out. LOL! Me and shaker cards don't see eye to eye... I always make a mess with them.

So I decided to make a faux shaker card with a removable ornament. These are easier, but still a little messy. LOL! And the ornament is so fun. It's not just a card... it's a gift!

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day 10 stamp and my process in making this card here... Unity Advent Calendar 2024 Day 10 | Unity Stamp Co.

There are 27 different sketches to pick from for this month's Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration ALL the Sketches Challenge! Here's a look at six of them. I was inspired by the last one... Sketch 18.

A closer look at Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 18! This is a fun sketch! It's perfect for those scraps we all have in our stash. Stop by the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group to check out the challenge and see all the inspiration for each of the sketches. Maybe you'll be inspired to play along with us!

I die cut all the pieces to create the ornament using the Ornamental Greetings Ornament dies from Unity {looks like these aren't available right now}. You can see all the layers in the video above. I just had to ink up the Day 2 penguin again! I love this cutie!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the penguin: C00, C1, YR21, YR15

I adhered a bunch of the fun Christmas confetti mix around the bottom of the ornament and a few around the top. It took me a few tries but I also tied a pretty bow. I adhered the ribbon with a glue dot. The ornament is adhered to the card with removable glue dots from the iCraft Removable Pixie Dots Adhesive from Therm O Web.

I paired up the ornament with the Watercolor Tidings {paper pack}. I finished up the card with a sweet sentiment from the Christmas cut apart sheet that I received as a freebie from my Brown Thursday order. So perfect with these papers!

I'll be back tomorrow for Day 11 of the 2024 Advent Calendar from Unity!
Have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 18 ~ Peek-a-Boo Cats with Pawsome Peepers ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back to share a few more fun birthday cards that I created using the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 18. I am so pleased with the stash that I've created this month using this sketch! It's so awesome to add to my birthday cards stash. I picked another 'leftover' paper pack from my supplies and I actually just picked the first one I saw. Luckily it's a gorgeous paper pack!

Here's a look at the three cards I made. Whatcha think? I wanted to use smaller stamped images so I didn't cover up too much of the pretty papers.

I LOVE the colors in these papers! I have no idea where these papers are from. If you do, I'd love to know! I thought it would be fun to share what I had in the leftovers pack. I probably won't use the paper flowers or sequins. I've set those aside. My focus is really using up the papers right now.

My first card of the trio featuring the adorable winking kitty from the Peek-a-Boo Cats from Unity. I adore this kitty! I just realized I didn't finish coloring up the cute little paw. LOL! Ooops!

I colored up the kitty with just a few Copic markers: R00, R20, N0, N1, N3, N5. Fussy cut it and adhered it just inside the one paper window. It almost looks like the kitty is looking over a counter top. So fun!

Here's another look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 18. This has been such a fun sketch to play with! The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. Loving it!

For my second card, I thought I'd just use the wood flowers from the leftover pack. The two just didn't look right on their own so I went searching through my stuff and found one heart. I think they look great together and adds a bit of dimension to the card.

I had mentioned earlier in the month that I was using these leftover papers from my days on the Scrapping for Less Design Team. I also found some of the card stock that was included in the card kits. So I used some for this card. I have no idea what company these papers are from or even what colors they are officially called. They coordinate really well with the colors in the pattern papers though.

My third and final card for Sketch 18 features the super adorable dachshund pup from the Pawsome Peepers. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used for the pup: E21, E23, E25, N0, N1, N3. I fussy cut this cutie too and colored the edges with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to make the fussy cut look nice and neat.

I used the sketch for the background but I adjusted the measurements for the paper rectangles since I just used some of the papers that were already cut. You may recognize the sentiment. I used it last week for a card. It's from the Rainbow Birthday stamps, also from Unity.

I hope you're inspired to play along with the sketch... there's only a few more days to enter the challenge! I also hope that you're inspired to use up some of those paper scraps and/or paper pads! I'll be back next week with a whole new sketch and I'm going to try to finish off these leftover papers. Or at least get a card or maybe two from what's left. Have a wonderful week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 18 ~ HB2U Anya ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back sharing another fun birthday card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 18. It feels so good to add another card to my stash of birthday cards! Woohoo! I'm also using up some more of those leftover papers I mentioned last week. This card finishes up the larger scrap pieces of the leftover papers. Next week I'll be sharing a card (or maybe cards) using the rest of the scraps from the pack. I hope you're inspired to not only play along with this month's sketch, but also use up those scraps right along with me!

I still had the sweet HB2U Anya stamp set from The Greeting Farm on the my desk so I decided to use it for this card. Isn't she just the sweetest?! Unfortunately, I don't see her on The Greeting Farm website, but there's a whole bunch of other cute Anya stamps in clear photopolymer or digital stamps. I just love the Anya stamps! I stamped Anya with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her up with a handful of Copic markers. I fussy cut Anya on the line and then colored the edges using a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color her up:

Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: Y21, E55
Heart Clip / Pink Dress / Boots: RV10, RV13
Sweater: G02, G05, G17, BG11, BG01
Cake: RV10, RV13, Y11, Y15, V12, V15, R20, R14, B0000, B00
Plate: Y11, Y15, Y35

Here's another look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 18. A perfect sketch for those scraps of paper we all have in our stash! The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I am loving this sketch! I'm hoping to make at least one more card using the sketch... after I'm done with the 'scraps' cards, that is!

So last week I mentioned that these papers came from an old school card kit from Scrapping for Less that closed up shop about 3 years ago. I don't have the packaging for these papers, but I'm pretty sure they are an older pack called Happy Birthday by Echo Park Paper Co. Not sure if they are available anywhere but I thought I'd share.

The cute little sentiment is also from the HB2U Anya stamp set from The Greeting Farm. I stamped it with the black ink, trimmed it and adhered it to a little scrap of pattern paper as a mat. I popped up Anya with some foam tape. I think she's just the cutest! I hope you're inspired to play along with the sketch... and maybe even use up those paper scraps and/or paper pads! Have a wonderful week!

See ya next time.

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 18 ~ Minkie Christmas with HB2U Anya Sentiment ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a new sketch for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I had fun with this card! Not only am I working to build up my stash of birthday cards, I am also trying to use up leftover papers from my days on the Scrapping for Less Design Team. I have had these leftovers for over 3 years now and they've just been sitting there taking up room. I want to reorganize and use that space for something else so I've resolved to use these leftover papers! I'll be sharing the cards I created throughout the month. Some will be using the TOPII sketches and others will just be ideas I came up with using the scraps. I hope you're inspired to not only play along with this month's sketch, but also use up those scraps right along with me!

Here's my sweet card using the sketch. I also had a fun idea to use stamps that I haven't inked up just yet! I adore the cute Minkie line of stamps from The Greeting Farm. This cutie is actually from the Minkie Christmas stamp set. I thought it would be great for a birthday card! What do you think? I love when stamps can be used for different occasions! I stamped the little Minkie with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her up with a handful of Copic markers. I then die cut her out using a stitched circle die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from Unity. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color her up:

Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E55, E57, E59
Mouth: R20, R14
Present: RV10, RV13, B0000, B00
Ground: C1, C3

Here's a look at the fun new sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 18. A perfect sketch for those scraps of paper we all have in our stash! The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I have a few fun ideas for this sketch and I hope to play some more with it during the next few weeks.

So since these papers were in a mini card kit I have no idea where they are from. I would guess Echo Park Paper Co. but really it could be from somewhere else. The point is using those papers in your stash! Let's finish off some paper pads!

The cute little sentiment is from the HB2U Anya stamp set, also from The Greeting Farm {sadly, I don't see this set on the website}. Such a fun card to make! I hope you're inspired to play along with the sketch... and maybe even ink up some stamps that haven't been inked up yet AND let's use up those paper scraps and/or paper pads! Have a wonderful week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
