Fun With Stencils ~ A Colorful Life Designs ~ Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Hello there crafty friend! Crystal here from Tawny Owl Paperie and I'm sharing my last post as a guest designer for the Coffee Loving Papercrafters. I've had a lot of fun sharing with you all! I hope you've enjoyed the coffee inspiration I've shared.

Today I'm sharing a fun stenciled card featuring three fabulous stencils from A Colorful Life Designs. I used the fab Fractured Beams Stencil for my background. I blended Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks over the sun rays once and then again after shifting the stencil.

I blended over the cute cup from the Love Language Stencil on a separate piece of white card stock using Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink. I fussy cut the cup and adhered it to the panel. I blended Abandoned Coral and Candied Apple Distress Inks over the cute little heart on a scrap of white card stock. I fussy cut that leaving a white border and adhered it to the cup.

I then ink blended Black Soot Distress Ink over a fun sentiment from the Snarky Coffee Stencil. I trimmed the panel and realized that I had messed up the bottom left corner at some point so I just chopped it off. I adhered the panel to a black A2 card base and added six confetti pieces from the Metallic Orange Card Bling pack, also from A Colorful Life Designs.

The ideas starting revving once I got started so I made a couple more cards. I blended lightly with Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the Mmmm portion of the Mmm Coffee Stencil. And then I blended with Ground Espresso Distress Ink over the 'Coffee'.

I added the little heart from the Coffee Pot Stencil using Candied Apple Distress Ink. A fun CAS card on Kraft card stock.

I had an idea for the Coffee Pot Stencil so I ran with it. I blended the coffee pot with Black Soot Distress Ink. And without adding ink to my blending brush, I blended the steam lightly with the same brush. I blended Vintage Photo Distress Ink for the coffee. I left the coffee pot stencil in place and laid the Mmm Coffee Stencil over top and blended Ground Espresso Distress Ink over the Mmmm. I removed the coffee pot stencil and masked the Mmm coffee stencil and then blended the 'Coffee'. And I just had to blend another heart with Candied Apple Distress Ink.

I trimmed up the panel and adhered it to a black A2 top fold card base. These were such fun cards to make! I hope you've enjoyed the cards I've shared today and throughout the month. Have a wonderful weekend crafty friends!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 54 ~ Winter Remix Berry Stencil ~ Club Scrap

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with one last card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 54 hosted in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Today I'm sharing a lovely holiday card using the Winter Remix Berry Stencil from our lovely Sponsor Club Scrap. Unfortunately, I bought this item on clearance and it looks like they aren't available any more.

I blended Vintage Photo and Scorched Timber Distress Inks over the branches on the stencil. I blended Spun Sugar and Festive Berries Distress Inks over the berries.

I used Copic markers to add depth and shadow to the branches and berries. I used T5 for the branches and R20, R14, and R37 for the berries.

I used the measurements from the sketch for my card. To make the two panels on top stand out from the others I distressed the edges very lightly with a brown blending brush without adding more ink to the brush. I die cut the sentiment from the cut apart papers from the Gnome for Christmas Maze Book in a Box using a circle die and popped it up on the card. The ribbon is a grosgrain ribbon from Stampin' Up. It's really old. LOL! I think it's called cranberry.

Here's a look at {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 54 for the month of February. Today is the last day to enter this challenge! If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration for this sketch, check out the amazing inspiration from the design team over on the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! Best Day Ever Memory Dex Card ~ Best Day Anya ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing another fun memory dex card featuring a sweet stamp set from The Greeting Farm!!

I still had my memory dex dies on my desk so I thought, why not make another one? I've been wanting to ink up Best Day Anya for awhile and she's just too cute on this card.

I stamped the adorable Anya with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored her up with Copic Markers. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find Best Day Anya on the website. But if you'd like to have her you can check out the Farmers Market and submit a request via email... maybe she'll be available for the next Farmers Market. Fingers crossed!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E04, R00, R20
Hair: Y21, E43, E44
Ears: N0, N2, N4, N6, N8
Heart / Dress: R20, R14, R27
Bow: Y11, Y15
Boots: N0, N2, N4, N6

I die cut my layers for the memory dex card using an old retired die from my stash along with some fun papers called Mousin' Mix-Up {paper pad} from Unity. I also paper pieced the cute bow using the papers. I stamped the area around the bow onto the pattern paper and then I fussy cut it with scissors. I colored the edges of my fussy cutting with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to make the cutting nice and neat and then I adhered it to the colored image.

I die cut a few circles to create a balloon using the Nesting Circles Die from Waffle Flower. I adhered a piece of black twine from Anya's hand behind her to the balloon. And then finished it off with a yellow bow. So fun to make. I hope I've inspired you to get inky!

See ya next time.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a sweet card featuring the adorable bunny from the February 2025 Uniquely Unity membership from Unity called Cottontail Cutie.

Isn't she the cutest bunny ever?! Love her! I stamped the bunny with Black Amalgam ink and colored it up with some Copic markers. I stamped the bunny again on a larger piece of white card stock and die cut it using a square die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies}. I fussy cut the Copic colored bunny and adhered it over top of the square die cut bunny.

Here's a quick list of the ones I used:
Bunny: W00, W1, W3, C00, C2, R00, R20
Egg: RV10, RV02, V12, V15

I paired up the sweet bunny with the awesome Linen background stamp. I stamped the background a few different times using Kitsch Flamingo, Tumbled Glass and Mustard Seed Distress Inks.

I stamped and trimmed up the sentiment. I added foam tape to the back of the sentiment and the bunny and popped them up on the card. I finished up the card with a few white enamel dots. So fun! I love it soo!

Here's a quick look at this month's Uniquely Unity membership! Love it!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 30 ~ Bella ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a brand new sketch challenge! Woohoo! Today I'm sharing my first card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 30 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I inked up the adorable Bella... one of the new Rescue Tales from Unity!

She reminds me of my MIL's sweet Mimi. Both my MIL and Mimi have passed but I cherish those memories, you know? Anywho, I stamped the sweet pup with Amalgam Black ink and colored her up with just a handful of Copic Markers: R00, R20, E51, E53, C00, C2, and Colorless Blender.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 30. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it.

I paired up sweet Bella with the Timeworn Paws Anthology {paper pack}. I used scraps for my background and just adhered them to a Kraft A2 top fold card base. I die cut the polka dot paper using a die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. Bella needed a layer between her and the background so I die cut a circle from Kraft card stock using a die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}

I stamped the sentiment on a long strip of card stock. I distressed it just a little bit to tone down the bright white and then I adhered it to the card. I finished off the card with a few black enamel dots. Such a fun sketch! I hope you can find time to play along during the next four weeks! I can't wait to see what you create. Have an ink-tastic week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Paws Challenge #237 ~ Sketch Challenge {Week 4}

Hello there crafty friend!
There's just a few more days to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #237 - Sketch Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, February 28th to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

This has been such a fun sketch! I hope you have a chance to play along with us if you haven't already! There's just a few days left to play!

I decided to make another St. Paddy's Day card. This time using the Newton's Pot of Gold Stamp Set. I stamped the adorable kitty with his pot of gold using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored up the sweet image with my Copic markers. I fussy cut it leaving a skinny white border around the edges.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Kitty: R00, R20, C00, C2
Hat: N0, N1, N3, N5, YG11, YG23, Y11, Y15, Y28
Pot: N0, N1, N3, N5
Gold: Y11, Y15, Y28
Shamrock: YG11, YG23

I used the fun Pastel Basics 6x6 Paper Pad. I don't normally use pastels for St. Paddy's Day cards so I thought it would be a fun change. What do you think?

I die cut a scalloped circle of vellum card stock using a die from the Circles Frames Die Set to go behind the kitty leprechaun. It separates those layers but doesn't cover the fun green pattern papers. I finished off the card with a few green enamel dots from my stash.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the fun sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm egg-cited to share another fun card for Unity's February release. Heehee! Another fun pissy kitty for the collection!! This one is called Somebunny's Grumpy Pissy Kitty.

This poor kitty looks miserable but Oh. My. Cuteness. I stamped the cute cat on a scrap panel. I colored it up with my Copic markers and fussy cut it leaving a bit of a border. I also stamped the eggs and fussy cut them on the line and colored the edges with a black marker.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Cat: N0, N2, N4, RV10, G00, G02, Colorless Blender
Bunny Costume: C00, C2, RV10, RV02, Colorless Blender
Eggs: YR21, YR15, Y11, Y15, BG10, BG01

Inspiration for my card comes from the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 29. This has been a fun sketch to play with. There's just a couple more days to play along... the sketch challenge ends on Monday, February 24th.

I paired up the kitty with Hello Easter papers from Echo Park Paper Co. These are old papers from my stash. I die cut the pink background layer with the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. The egg paper was die cut using a die from the Scallops & Banners {nesting dies}.

I stamped the sentiment and die cut it with a die from the Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies. I popped up the sentiment and kitty using foam tape. I think this turned out pretty cute. This card cracks me up!

I'm so excited to share another fun coffee themed card as a guest designer for Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Today I'm sharing a sassy kitty card featuring the adorably snarky Curlers & Catitude Pissy Kitty. I absolutely adore this kitty stamp from Unity Stamp Co.

I stamped the kitty with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs and colored her up with Copic markers. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the kitty:
Kitty: YR21, YR15, N0, N2, N4, C00, R00, R20

I stamped, trimmed and also distressed the edges of the sentiment. I adhered it to the bottom of the die cut circle and popped them both up with foam tape. Lots of fun to make this one! Hope you've been inspired to get inky this weekend with some caffeine themed goodies!

Sending a Hoppy Hello ~ Fluff & Stuff ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Unity's having a fun release including some cute Easter stamps. I just had to ink up the adorable bunny butt from the Fluff & Stuff stamps.

I stamped the cute bunny butt and sentiment on a scrap of white card stock. I colored it up with my Copic markers and fussy cut it.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Bunny: W00, W1, R00, R20
Bunny Tail: C00, C2
Bunny Hole: Y11, Y15

I ink smooshed a simple background on a white panel that I had die cut previously using the largest scallop die from the BIG Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. I ink smooshed with Tumbled Glass and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Inks leaving a lot of white still on the panel. I tied a pretty bow with white baker's twine. And adhered my panel to a white A2 top fold card base.

I finished off the card with a few confetti pieces from the White Glossy Card Bling pack from A Colorful Life Designs. I love that cute little bunny butt! Haha!

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a sweet card featuring the adorable duck from the February 2025 Kit of the Month membership from Unity called The Sweetest Spring.

I just had to ink up the adorable ducky from this month's KOM! It's just too cute! I stamped the duck with Black Amalgam ink and colored it up with some Copic markers.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Duck: Y000, Y11, Y15, Y17
Bill: YR21, YR15, YR24
Bucket: N0, N1, N3, N5

I was inspired by the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 29. The sketch challenge ends on Monday, February 24th. I'd love for you to play along if you have time!

I paired up the cute duck with the pretty Cloud-Hopper Chronicles {paper pack}. I love the spring colors in this paper pack. Perfect to pair up with the duck!

I stamped and trimmed up the sentiment. I adhered the sentiment directly to the card, but I popped up the duck on the card. I finished off the card with a few white enamel dots. A simple card, but I think it's fun!

Here's a quick look at this month's Kit of the Month membership! So cute!

February Scraps Cards ~ Ween Party Crew ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a trio of birthday cards I created to finish up my latest pack of scrap papers! Woohoo! Another one bites the dust... LOL! I couldn't resist inking up the adorable weens from the Ween Party Crew from Unity. Love these cuties!

I had exactly 11 pieces of paper scraps and boy was I ever happy to find that I could use them for three fun cards! I stamped the cutes partying weens three times and colored them up with Copic markers.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Red Ween: E21, E13, E17
Green Balloon: YG11, G14
Black Ween: E21, E13, N0, N1, N3, N5
Pink Balloon: RV10, RV02
Tan Ween: E40, E21
Blue Balloon: B000, B02

First up I used the strips for this card. They are close to same width and all are 4" long. I alternated the stripe patterns with the confetti patterns for a nice eye-pleasing background.

Next up, I used the largest green scrap with three similarly sized squares. Again, alternating the stripe patterns makes it more pleasing to the eye. Also coloring one of the balloons green helps to balance the colors on the card.

And lastly, I had three rectangle scraps left. I adhered those to a mat and then adhered them to the white A2 card base. Placing the green polka dot paper in the center to balance the busy-ness of the other two patterns.

I fussy cut the pups leaving a thin white border around the images. And I popped them up on the cards with foam tape. I stamped the sentiments, trimmed them up and adhered them directly to the card bases. I found some enamel dots in my stash in a nice blue that works with the blue of the papers and the blue of the balloons... I think it adds a little something to the cards. I'm ecstatic to have another paper pack done. Yay! I hope you have an inkredible week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Inky Paws Challenge #237 ~ Sketch Challenge {Week 3}

Hello there crafty friend!
Sharing some more inspiration for week 3 of the Inky Paws Challenge #237 - Sketch Challenge! You have until Friday, February 28th to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

I am having so much fun with the sketch this month! I hope that you've been able to play along with us and if you haven't there's still 11 days to join in the fun!

I started my card with the fun layers of papers. I went a little nuts! It was so hard to narrow down the papers I wanted to use so I used a bunch. I used the Farmyard 6x6 Paper Pad for my paper layers. I die cut the blue gingham paper using a die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. I used a die from the Basic Frames Die Set for the red checkered background behind the chicken.

I stamped the cute chicken from the Cluck Stamp Set and colored it up with Copic markers. I die cut it using the coordinating die from the Cluck Die Set. I die cut a stitched circle from white card stock using a die from the Circle Frames Die Set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Beak / Feet: YR21, YR15, YR27
Waddle: R20, R14, R27
Orange: YR21, YR15, YR27
Blue: B93, B97, B79
Brown: E21, E23, E25, E27
Green: G12, G05, G16

The sentiments are also from the Cluck Stamp Set. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Trimmed them and popped them up on the card. I adhered the chicken circle to the checkered layer and then popped those up on the card too.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a card using this month's sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
