Inky Paws Challenge #201 ~ Sketch Challenge Reminder

 Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #201!! You have until this coming Friday, July 7th to get your entries in for this fun sketch challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Today I'm sharing a fun birthday card using the sketch for the current challenge. Can never have enough birthday cards! And if it includes a punny sentiment I am all in!! I love them!

I have had the Newton Loves Tacos Stamp Set in my stash now for awhile but this is my first time using it and I can't wait to play with it some more. I stamped the sweet kitty and party hat with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them up with my Copic markers. I die cut them using the coordinating Newton Loves Tacos Die Set

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used for this stamp:

Kitty ~ N0, N2, N4, C00, C1, R00, R20
Hat ~ YG11, YG05, R00, R20, YR21, YR23, Y15
Taco ~ YG11, YG05, R00, R20, R17, Y000, YR0000, YR21, YR23, Y15, Y35

I paired up these cute stamps with the super sweet, or maybe I should say purr-fect A Cat's Life 6x6 Paper Pad. The plaid layer measures 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" and is adhered to a white A2 top fold card base. I die cut the orange paw print paper using the large rectangle die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. I laid the sentiment and blue paw print with hearts papers over the die cut rectangle and laid the die over top. I then secured the paper strips to the die and die cut them, as well.

When I don't want to cover up my pretty papers I like to use a vellum mat or layer for my focal image. I die cut my vellum card stock using a scalloped die from the Oval Frames Die Set. I adhered the die cut kitty to the vellum. I then adhered the oval to the card by only putting glue behind the die cut kitty. To finish off the card, I die cut a piece of white card stock with the banner die from the Frames & Flags Die Set and stamped the sentiment. I trimmed it up and adhered it directly to the card.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal
