Membership Wednesday ~ June 2023 Uniquely Unity A Tapestry of Stories ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a pretty simple vintage style card using the lovely stamp from the wonderful June 2023 Uniquely Unity membership from Unity called A Tapestry of Stories. I just love this stamp!! My dad had a red bug when I was kid and I've always had a fondness for them. I couldn't wait to color up this one!

So, I had a color scheme in mind for coloring the bug and luggage but I didn't pick out my papers until afterwards... phew! That was a bit of a task looking through my papers after coloring, but I found my stash of Basic Grey papers and Oh. My. Gosh. Not only did I fall in love with these papers once again, I found the perfect papers to pair up with my coloring of the bug!! Woohoo! I used the Blush paper pad which has a bit of a vintage vibe to it. But really don't they all?!

I went with a classic card design with two pattern papers for my background. The stripes and the flower dots contrast each other so nicely and the colors are so perfect. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers that I used to color up the bug and luggage:

VW Bug ~ R20, R17, R27, C00, C1, N0, N2, N4
Luggage ~ BG70, BG72, V20, V22, V28, E70, E74, E77
Ground ~ N0, N2

I die cut the colored panel with the largest stitched die from the Scallops & Rectangle {nesting dies}. It was a very bright white which looked okay but doesn't really go with a vintage card so I distressed the edges just a bit with Vintage Photo and Antique Linen Distress Oxide inks. A mix of both of those colors gave me just the right tone of brown to work with the pattern paper. I wanted to add a little something to the empty corners so I wrapped them with a couple scraps of {Natural} May Arts Burlap String and secured them behind the panel with some scotch tape. I then covered the back of the panel with foam tape and popped up the panel on my pattern paper card front. The card front was then adhered to a white A2 top fold card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11", scored at 5-1/2".

That's it for me today! I'll be back next week with inspiration for the June 2023 Whit Kit! I know I say this just about every month, but have you seen this month's card kit?! I LOVE it!! I'm so excited to play! I hope you'll give me a visit and check out what I share! Until then have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Spring into Christmas 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Warm Wishes for Your Home ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I can't believe that we are more than halfway through the Spring into Christmas 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party already!! Today I'm sharing a pretty card using the sweet Warm Wishes for Your Home stamp set from Sponsor Unity Stamp Co.!! I was looking through my stamps trying to find my Poinsettia background stamp from Unity but I guess it's still in a box! Unpacking seems to never end!! Anywho, I came across the beautiful Warm Wishes for Your Home set and thought I'd ink it up for today!

And then I started searching through my Christmas papers and stopped when I saw my beloved Figgy papers from Basic Grey... awww... any other hoarders of their cherished Basic Grey papers?! I love these papers and actually have two 6x6 paper pads (and some 12x12!!) in my stash so... I got to thinking I could spare some for a card! LOL!

Picking papers was kind of hard though... I love them all so much but the stripes won out for behind my focal piece. Speaking of... how sweet is this house stamp?! So sweet and nostalgic... it reminds me of a beautiful cabin home that we stayed at on one of our family vacations. It wasn't Christmas time yet but it did snow a bit. It's funny how stamps bring back memories of sweet times.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers that I used:

Door / Planters ~ R20, R14, R27
Wreath ~ G24, G99
Pine Trees ~ G24, G99
Large Trees ~ C00, C2
House ~ C00, C2, C3
Windows ~ Y00

I trimmed up the focal piece with my new Tim Holtz Tonic Deckle Torn Edge Trimmer... love how easy it was to get a pretty deckled edge around my focal piece. I wrapped my card front with a Cranberry grosgrain ribbon from Stampin' Up that's been in my stash forever and also made a cute little bow that I adhered to the card with a tiny glue dot. I mat the sentiment with a banner cut from Cherry Cobbler card stock from Stampin' Up. And I finished off the card with a few red Holiday Glitter enamel dots {sadly they are currently out of stock} from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. I love how it turned out!

I sure hope that you've been inspired to get a jump on those holiday cards! It was such a relief last year not having to stress over making a bunch. I actually had extras left over! Head on over to the  Spring into Christmas 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party to see all the fabulous inspiration being shared so far! Even if you're not able to play along, I hope that you'll stop by and check out all the sweet inspiration being shared! So many beautiful cards!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Membership Monday ~ June 2021 UU So Dang Loved ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Welcome back to Membership Monday!!! Unity has SO many fabulous memberships that it's really hard to pick a favorite. I've really been loving the beautiful stamps in the Uniquely Unity membership and the June 2021 set does not disappoint!!

This one is called So Dang Loved... and I love the combination of flowers and leaves in this beautiful bouquet! The pretty hello sentiment and those hearts... LOVE! I paired this pretty stamp with the Stella Ruby papers by Basic Grey... yes, my precious hoard of discontinued Basic Grey papers. I love the luscious colors in this paper pack and they worked well with the colors I had chosen to color the stamp so it was a match made in crafty heaven. I used the Stitched Square Stacklets from Taylored Expressions to die cut the flowers. I fussy cut the sentiment leaving a white border. And I wrapped the card front with Black May Arts Burlap string tying a pretty double bow. I adhered the card front to a white A2 top fold card base.

I used the following Copic markers for this card:

Reds ~ R11, R14, R29
Greens ~ YG11, G07, G14, G24, G99
Yellos ~ Y15, Y38
Purple ~ V04
Outline ~ B0000

I hope you've been inspired to pull out your Uniquely Unity stamp and get it inky! I'll see you next Monday with a fun tropical card I created using the June 2021 Background of the Month membership stamp!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
