Hello Mermaid ~ Mermaid Anya 2 ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hi there crafty friend!
Today I'm so happy I finally inked up a mermaid for Mer-May! Better late than never! I inked up the gorgeous Mermaid Anya 2 from The Greeting Farm!

I'm also excited to make another memory dex card for my holder. I found a fun ink smooshed background in my 'keep for later bin' I had ink smooshed with a couple of blues. I want to say it was Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks but I'm not 100% sure. I did ink smoosh some Wilted Violet and Villainous Potion Distress inks over the blues.

I inked up all the fun images from the Mermaid Anya 2 stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them up with Copic markers. I also added touches of white gel pen here and there. I fussy cut them leaving a white border around the edge.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, R00, R20
Hair: RV10, RV02, RV04
Mermaid Tail: Y11, BG000, BG10, BG01, BG15
Hair Starfish Cluster: Y11, Y15, YR23, YG11, G02, C0, C2, C3
Clown Fish: Y15, YR23, YR15
Seahorse: V000, V12, V15
Seaweed: Y11, YG11, G02
Rocks: C0, C2, W00, W1, W4, W7
Starfish: Y11, Y15

I used an old memory dex die in my stash to die cut the background. It's the Memory Dex Die from Heidi Swapp. Normally I would add papers and embellish a bit more but I really wanted some of the ink smooshed background to show.

I did decide to add a few sequins from my stash to finish it off with a little sparkle. I hope I've inspired you to get inky... maybe even with a mermaid stamp for Mer-May!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal

Membership Wednesday ~ May 2025 UU Nestled Hearts ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a card featuring the precious stamp from the May 2025 Uniquely Unity membership from Unity called Nestled Hearts.

I stamped this adorable stamp with Black Amalgam ink on Kraft card stock and colored it up with some Copic markers. I debated leaving the image just black and white but... I could help myself! I just love the technique of coloring with Copic markers on Kraft card stock so here we are. LOL. I added touches of white to the image using a white Prismacolor pencil.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Deer: E00, E21, E23, E25, R00, R20
Bunny: R00, R20, W00, W1, W4
Flowers: V000, V01, V15, Y11, Y15, YR15, R20, R14
Greenery: YG11, G94
Nest: E51, E53

I die cut the sweet duo with a square die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies}. I also die cut a mat from black card stock using the next largest die. I stamped the sentiment and trimmed it.

I've been trying to play with my neglected embossing folders. I used a woodgrain embossing folder for this card. I trimmed up the background to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8" and adhered it to a Kraft A2 top fold card base. I adhered the sweet deer and bunny to the card. Straight on just wasn't pleasing to the eye so I offset the image just a bit. I popped up the sentiment using foam tape.

Here's a quick look at this month's Uniquely Unity membership! Love this adorable stamp!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 33 Coffee Is Not Enough ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a brand new sketch challenge! Woohoo! Today I'm sharing my first card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 33 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I inked up the fabulous girl from the Coffee Is Not Enough stamps from Unity.

This gal could totally be me the other day after a loooonnng night of thunderstorms. We were under a Tornado Watch but thankfully no warnings or sirens. But still not much sleep. Anywho, I stamped the girl masking the bottom portion using a post it note that I die cut with the same circle die I used to die cut the image (Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from Unity). I stamped the teeny-tiny kitty and the sentiment on scraps of white card stock. I colored the images up with Copic Markers.

Here's a list of the Copic Markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, R00, R20
Hair: Y21, E11, E13
Top: Y11, Y15
Robe: C00, C2, BG000, BG10
Mug: RV10, RV02, E51, E25
Kitty: YR20, YR15, YR27

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 33. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I went waaaayyy back on my blog and found this card design. You can check out the original card here... Mother's Day Blessings.

I went looking through my papers to find papers I haven't used yet and discovered the Mocha Latte 6x6 Paper Pack from Ink N' Splatter. Lots of fun patterns to play with! I die cut the heart papers using a border die from the A2 Scalloped Borders One dies from Spellbinders.

I think this will be a really fun sketch to play with for the next four weeks! Lots of possibilities! I hope you can find time to play along. I can't wait to see what you create. Have an inkredible week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Paws Challenge #240 ~ Sketch Challenge {Week 4}

Hello there crafty friend!
There's just a few more days to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #240 - Sketch Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, May 30th to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

This has been such a fun sketch! I hope you have a chance to play along with us if you haven't already! There's just a few days left to play!

For my last card for this sketch challenge, I pulled out the Heartfelt Honeycomb Stamp Set. I stamped all of the bees and the drips of honey using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. And then I colored them up with Copic markers. I die cut each of the colored images using the coordinating dies from the Heartfelt Honeycomb Die Set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used: Y11, Y15, Y38, BG10, BG01.

I ink smooshed my background using Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks leaving a lot of white space. I also stamped the background partially with the hexagon heart from the Heartfelt Honeycomb Stamp Set.  I spattered the ink smooshed background using black acrylic paint that was thinned with a spritz of water. I die cut the center of the panel using the frame die from the Framework Die Set. I also die cut a piece of black card stock using the same die. That gave me the scalloped frame that it in the center of the card. I used the scalloped and stitched die from that same die set to die cut just the edge of a scrap of black card stock. I trimmed that piece to 2" wide and that's the piece that runs across the card.

I ink smooshed a scrap of white card stock and die cut it using a die from the Hexagon Frames Die Set. I decided to mat that piece because it was just getting lost in the background. So I die cut a scrap of black card stock using the same hexagon die. I trimmed off the edges of the ink smooshed hexagon so that it would fit just inside of the stitches on the black hexagon. I adhered all of the layers and popped up the bee on the hexagon and the sentiment using foam tape.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the fun sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
