{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 60 ~ Juniper Girl ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with one last card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 60 hosted in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Today I'm sharing a vintage style holiday card featuring beautiful papers and a lovely stamp from our wonderful Sponsor, Unity Stamp Co.

I adore the vintage vibe of the North Pole Collection {paper pack}. I wanted to pair these wonderful papers up with a sweet Angie Girl... it's been quite a long time since I inked up one of the girls. I chose Juniper Girl. I think she's just lovely.

I cut and die cut all of my papers from the North Pole Collection {paper pack} and adhered them to a vanilla card base. I used scraps for the center panel so the height of each one may be a smidge different but the width on all four is 2-3/4". I wanted a Christmas sentiment so I went looking through my other Angie Girl stamps and found this one from the December Girl stamps. I stamped it on a scrap of paper from the paper pack and adhered it to the center panel. And then I added foam tape to the back of both and popped it up on the card.

I stamped Juniper Girl with Black Amalgam ink and colored her up with Copic markers. I fussy cut the image leaving a border around the edges and then adhered her to the card with a mix of foam tape {for the right edge of the tree hanging off of the center panel} and liquid glue.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E00, E11, E25
Hat / Scarf / Mittens: RV000, RV02, C0, C2
Coat: E0000, E81, E43
Pants: E11, E33
Shoes: E000, E11, E15
Cup: G000, G24, G46, C0, C2
Tree: G000, G24, G46, E11, E25
Ornaments: RV10, RV21, RV02, RV29
Snow: C0, C2

One Of A Kind ~ One Of A Kind Big Kit ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a sweet card featuring one of the cuties from the One of a Kind Big Kit from The Greeting Farm! How stinkin' cute is this sweet bean dressed up as an owl?! Love her! It's not currently available in the store but you can always request it in the Farmers Market

I heat embossed the cute little flower with white pigment ink and white embossing powder on white card stock. And then I did a bit of ink smooshing and blending with Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, and Festive Berries Distress Ink on a white card front.

I inked up the owl bean and another flower with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic markers. I fussy cut her on the line and then I used a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to color the edges of my fussy cutting. This makes the cutting look nice and neat.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: Y11, E43, E44
Owl: W0, W2, W3, W5
Owl Beak: YR20, YR15, YR27, N2, N4
Owl Eyes: YG00, YG21, YG11
Flower: RV10, RV02, Y11, Y15

I die cut the ink smooshed panel with a pretty rectangle die from Poppy Stamps called Double Stitch Scalloped Rectangle Frames. I masked the top portion of the sentiment because it wouldn't all fit and then I stamped the sentiment with the Festive Berries Distress Ink.

I popped up the cutie bean with foam tape. I hope I've inspired you to get inky! Have a wonderful day!

Membership Wednesday ~ August 2025 KOM Season of Soft & Spooky ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a lovely Fall card featuring the beautiful leaves from the August 2025 Kit of the Month membership from Unity Stamp Co.

I started with a white card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I masked the two ends with each with a piece of iCraft Pixie Tape. I blended Mustard Seed Distress Ink over the center portion of the card. I dried the ink with a heat tool and then applied an anti-static powder to the area. I stamped the two leaves with a watermark ink and then dusted the wet ink with clear embossing powder. I melted the powder with a heat tool.Once the embossed areas had cooled, I blended Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink over the area. I dried the area with a heat tool applied anti-static powder again. I stamped two more leaves with clear embossing ink and then sprinkled clear embossing powder over the wet ink. I melted the powder with a heat tool. So at this point I had the yellow and orange leaves on my masked panel.

I used the very same steps with the remaining leaves using Lumberjack Plaid and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. I finished off the panel with some Walnut Stain and Black Soot Distress Inks. The top left and bottom left leaves were done with Vintage Photo even though it looks a bit red. Not sure why.

I used the same technique for this card that I shared a couple of years ago using the October 2022 Kit of the Month called Change & Direction. If the video above doesn't work you can use this link... Emboss Resist Technique | October 2022 Kit of the Month | Unity Stamp Co.

I stamped the sentiment with Black Amalgam ink and then trimmed the panel to 4 x 5-1/4". I wrapped the panel a few times with black burlap string and tied a bow. I adhered the panel to a black A2 top fold card base and then added a few reddish enamel dots.

Here's a quick look at this month's Kit of the Month membership!

Another option is to get this kit separately here... Grunge Grove.

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been INKspired to play with your membership stamps! Have a fab day!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 35 ~ Halloween Scraps Cards

 Hello there crafty friend!
I hope you're having a great day! Today I'm sharing my first card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 35 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I inked up a couple fun Halloween stamps in my stash.

And I found some fun Halloween papers in my stash {from my days DTing with Scrapping for Less... way back when - sadly, they are retired} that I think I'm going to try to use up over the next couple of weeks. There wasn't a lot left. I used the larger pieces for these two cards.

For my first card I inked up a cute kitty stamp from Sunny Studio Stamp called Scaredy Cat. This cute stamp came in the kit that the papers came in so I thought I'd use it. It's really cute and it looks like it's on sale along with the coordinating dies over at Sunny Studio Stamps.

I fussy cut the kitty on the line {except around the whiskers} and then colored the edges with a black marker. I popped up the cat and the sentiment on the card with foam tape. I finished off the card with a few glitter enamel dots that had also come in the kit.

Here's a list of the Copic Markers I used:
Cat: C0, C2, N0, N2, N4, N6, R00, R20
Cat Eyes: YG11, YG09
Pumpkin: YR20, YR15, YR68
Pumpkin Face: Y11, Y15

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 35. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I came up with this card design when I was using up scraps. You can check out the original card here... February Scraps Cards. I'm excited to use up some scraps!

And for my second card, I inked up the adorable gnome witch from the Witch Way stamps from Unity Stamp Co. She's one of my favorite Halloween stamps. I inked her up with Black Amalgam ink and then colored her with Copic markers. I fussy cut this one too coloring up the black edges with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker and avoiding the white edges of her curls.

Here's a quick list of the Copics I used for the gnome witch:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: C0, C2
Hat: YG11, YG09, V12, V15, V17
Dress: YR20, YR15
Shoes: N0, N2, N4, N6
Cauldron: V12, V15, V17, N2, N4
Broom: E11, E25, N2, N4

I popped up the gnome witch and sentiment again with foam tape. And then I finished off the card with some green enamel dots that were also in that old SFL kit. I think this will be a really fun sketch to play with for the next four weeks! Lots of possibilities and we can use up some scraps! I hope you can find time to play along. I can't wait to see what you create. Have an INKredible week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Inky Paws Challenge #243 ~ Sketch Challenge {Week 4}

Hello there crafty friend!
There's just a few more days to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #243 - Sketch Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, August 29th to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

This has been such a fun sketch! I hope you have a chance to play along with us if you haven't already! There's just a few days left to play!

I decided to make a birthday card for my last card. I actually started by picking my papers first for this one. I wanted three pattern papers that all had a white background so I chose the above three papers from the Birthday Party 6x6 Paper Pad. I used the Card Layout 4 Die as a guide to cut my papers out. Once I had the papers cut, I secured the die to the papers using washi tape and ran it through my Big Shot. I then die cut the frame from white card stock and adhered all of the pieces to a white A2 top fold card base.

I pulled out the fun Birthday Postage Sampler Stamp Set and inked up a few images to coordinate with the pattern papers I had chosen. I colored each of them with some Copic markers to coordinate with the colors in the papers and then I die cut them using the coordinating dies from the Birthday Postage Sampler Die Set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Present: YR20, YR15, R20, R14
Balloons: Y11, Y15, YG11, YG03, Colorless Blender
Cupcake: Y11, Y15, Y38, BG000, BG10, BG15, E11, E25

I die cut three circles from white card stock using a die from the Circle Frames Die Set. I added foam tape to the back of each image and popped them up on the circles and then I adhered the circles to the card. I stamped the sentiment, trimmed it and then adhered it to the card, as well.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the fun sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Hang in There, Boo-tiful ~ Hangin' With My Boos ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing another fun Halloween card I made using the fun new boos from Unity called Hangin' With My Boos. These fun ghosts have three fun sentiments included in the kit.

I chose the cute ghost papers from the Haunted Hues {paper pack}. I die cut it using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. The ghosts are die cut using a die from the Scallops & Arches {nesting dies}. And I added just a touch of Copic C0 to give some shadow to the ghosts.

I thought it would be fun to make it look like the ghost panel is hangin' on the card. I used a 1/8" hole punch to make two small holes. Ran the ribbon through to the back and secured it with tape. I popped up the boo panel with foam tape and then secured the other end of the ribbon on the back of the panel with more tape. I then glued the panel to a white A2 top fold card base that I turned on the side for a landscape card.

I tied to pretty bows and used glue dots to attach them to the ribbon. This was a super fast card {once I had figured out the ribbon... HAHA!}.

Halloween Wishes ~ Hexes & Hugs ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a fun Halloween card I made using the awesome new monster stamps from Unity called Hexes & Hugs. There's three fab monsters in this kit. I chose to ink up the grumpy witch.

I started by picking some papers... I decided to go with the Eternal Midnight Weave {paper pack} that I hadn't yet cracked open. I chose a couple for my background and then a couple more pattern papers for the circles. Once I had those figured out, I colored up the monster witch using Copic markers.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Monster: YG11, YG03
Hair / Eyes: V12
Costume: N2, N4, YR20, YR15, Y11, Y28
Broom: E11, E33
Pumpkin: YR20, YR15
Moon: Y11, Y15
Ground: N2

I used the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} to die cut all those circles. The focal image is popped up with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Frightfully Good Birthday ~ Holidays Are a Nightmare ~ Kindred Stamps

Hello there crafty friend!
I was asked to make a custom birthday card with a Nightmare Before Christmas theme. I adore Nightmare Before Christmas so this was not a hard task and I had just the stamp set to use. I used the retired Holidays Are a Nightmare stamp set from Kindred Stamps.

I started with my background. I knew that I wanted a black and white card... almost grayscale actually. So I ink smooshed a piece of white card stock with Black Soot Distress Ink. To tame down some of the white in the background I decided to scrape my ink pad across the panel. I did this from both directions all the way across the panel. I really like the added texture it gives to the background. I trimmed it down and adhered it to a black A2 top fold card.

I wanted to include the hill so I roughly drew it with pencil on black card stock and cut it out. I die cut a frame for my little scene using two nesting dies. I wanted a simple moon so I just die cut two circles. If I made this again, I'd probably do with out the mat for the moon. I thought it would make the moon stand out a bit more but I don't think it was completely necessary. I added some splatters to the moon and adhered the hill and moon to the frame.

I stamped the fun characters from Holidays Are a Nightmare and colored them with just a few Copic markers: N0, N2, N4. I fussy cut them on the line and colored the edges with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. TIP: Be sure to color the edges with a brush tip and do it from the back of the image just in case your marker slips. I adhered Sally and Jack to the card and then popped up Zero with foam tape.

The sentiment was fun to put together for a birthday card. I masked the 'Have a Frightfully Good Holiday Season' by covering 'Holiday Season' with a post-it note when I inked up the stamp. I removed the post-it note and stamped. This took a few times to get a nice crisp sentiment but it was worth it. I die cut birthday two times using the retired Chic Script Salutations {die set} from Unity. I die cut the shadow from white card stock so the sentiment would pop. I added foam tape to the back of the sentiment and popped them up. Such a fun card to make! If you need a custom card made, let me know!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 34 Extended ~ Membership Wednesday ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a fun Fall card featuring the cute gnome from the August 2025 Kit of the Month membership from Unity Stamp Co. A little inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 34 that is hosted in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group too.

I started with a fun fall themed embossing folder for my background. It's an old one that I've had in my stash for a long time called Happy Fall. I ran it through my Big Shot with a piece of white cardstock. I chose white because the pattern paper I planned on using had a white-ish background. I trimmed four scraps of pattern paper from the Fallen Elegance {paper pack} down to 3-1/4 x 3/4". The embossed background is trimmed down to 4 x 5-1/4".

As I mentioned above, my inspiration for today's card came from the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 34. This sketch is coming to an end.... the last day to enter is August 25th. I hope you'll play along!

I stamped the cute gnome with Black Amalgam ink and colored it up with Copic markers. I fussy cut it leaving a white border and then popped it up on the card with foam tape.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Nose: E000, E00, E11, E04
Beard: C0, C2
Hat: Y000, Y11, YR20, YR15, R20, R14
Shoes: E00, E11, E25
Pants: G000, G21
Mushrooms: W0, W3, R20, R14
Pumpkin: YR20, YR15, YR27, E11, E25
Ground: E000, E11

I stamped the sentiment with Black Amalgam ink, trimmed it and adhered it directly to the card with liquid glue. I am so ready for Fall! These super hot days of summer can just be done. I'm hoping my Fall cards bring some Fall vibes our way!

Here's a quick look at this month's Kit of the Month membership!

Another option is to get this kit separately here... Lil' Cozy Keeper.

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been INKspired to play with your membership stamps! Have a fab day!

Hey Boo ~ Paranormal Positivity ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I have one more card using new goodies from the Unity release. Today I'm sharing a simple Halloween card featuring the new Paranormal Positivity stamps from Unity.

I had a scrap of this pattern paper in my pack and wanted to use it with this cute duo. I was being lazy and thought it would look good just on a white card base. I probably could have tried a black card base. It would compliment the webs in the paper and the cat, but I digress.

I stamped the cute ghost and kitty duo and die cut them using a die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. These two cuties really don't need much as far as coloring goes... I used a little yellow on the ghost but then went over that with purple because the yellow didn't coordinate with anything. You can still see it a little bit but that's ok.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Ghost: Y11, BV0000, BV02, C0, C2
Ground: E000, E15

The purple scrap of pattern paper is from the Spooky Days {paper pack}. I love the unique colors in these papers. Definitely not your typical Halloween papers! Love them! I stamped and trimmed the sentiment. Adhered it to the circle and then added foam tape to the back of both. Popped them up on the card and was done.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Inky Paws Challenge #243 ~ Sketch Challenge {Week 3}

Hello there crafty friend!
Sharing some more inspiration for week 3 of the Inky Paws Challenge #243 - Sketch Challenge! You have until Friday, August 29th to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Have you played along with us yet? I sure hope you do. This is a super fun sketch. So fun that I turned it upside down. I wanted the brown to ground my images.

I made a fun Fall card using the sweet Autumn Read Stamp Set. I die cut the cute stacks of books using the coordinating dies from the Autumn Read Die Set.

I adhered the stack of books together and then popped them up on the card with foam tape. I also popped up the sentiment that I had heat embossed with white pigment ink and white embossing powder.
Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Pumpkins / Mug: Y11, YR20, YR15, E000, E11, E25
Yellows: Y000, Y11, YR23
Orange: YR20, YR15
Browns: E000, E11, E25
Blues: BG000, BG72
White: C0, C2

I used the fantastic Card Layout 4 Die to die cut my papers this time. If you don't have this die in your stash and you're not quite sure how to cut the pieces, you can check out my blog post from last week to see the measurement guide I shared for this sketch. I used three fun pieces of pattern paper from the Autumn Meows 6x6 Paper Pad. I traced around the shapes using the die as a guide and then cut out the papers. And then I was able to die cut the three pieces of pattern paper. I die cut a piece of Kraft card stock to cut out the frame. I adhered all of the pieces for my background to a Kraft A2 top fold card base. I finished off the card with a few glittery enamel dots from my stash.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a card using this month's sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Spells and Sarcasm ~ I Bite Pissy Kitty ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a funny Halloween card I made using the awesome new I Bite Pissy Kitty stamps from Unity. This kitty is PURR-FECTION!! I love the sassy face and those bat wings!!!!

I started by picking some papers that complimented our pissy kitty. I chose a couple from the Spooky Days {paper pack}. Once I had those figured out, I colored up the kitty and pumpkin using Copic markers.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Kitty: YR20, YR21, YR15, YR27
Bat Wings / Nose / Eyes: C0, C2, C3, C5
Bow: G000, G21
Pumpkin: G000, G21, Y11, Y15, E000, E15, E59

I then die cut the kitty using a die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies}. I tilted the die at an angle for fun. Sometimes it's hip to not be 'centered' square. LOL!

I couldn't pick just one sentiment... they are just TOO FUNNY!! I adhered the boo sentiment to the top of the square and then added a bunch of foam tape to the back. I also popped up the other sentiment using foam tape. And then I finished off the card with three orange enamel dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Inky hugs,
Crystal
