{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 62 ~ Christmas Cheer ~ Gina K. Designs

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new sketch challenge over in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Today I'm sharing a fun Christmas card featuring a super cute stamp set and coordinating dies from our awesome Sponsor Gina K. Designs! This month's prize is a $25 gift card to Gina K. Designs! Yippee!

I created a fun background for this card using the four snowflake stamps from the Christmas Cheer Stamp Set. I heat embossed them on Powder Blue card stock from Gina K. Designs. I used an anti static powder tool to prepare the card stock and then I stamped the snowflakes with a white pigment ink. Now my white embossing powder is old so it wasn't working as well so I found I had to heat emboss a few of the snowflakes twice. It was a little extra work but worth it to have nice snowflakes in the background.

I heat embossed the snowflakes on a 4 x 5-1/4" piece of the Powder Blue card stock being sure to only stamp the snowflakes around the outer edge. The center panel measured 3 x 4-1/2" and then I trimmed it to the measurements noted on the sketch {below}. I trimmed a piece of Blue Denim card stock, also from Gina K. Designs, to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 for an A2 card base. I adhered the card front to the card base. And then I trimmed another piece of Blue Denim card stock to 3-1/2 x 4-3/4" and adhered the broken panels to that mat and then adhered that to the card base. Easy peasy.

I could have left it at that but the snowman was wanting to be stamped so I obliged. I stamped the snowman with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him up with just a handful of Copic markers: {snowman} C0, C2, {nose} YR15, {hat} N2, N4, N6, B000, B02, {scarf} B000, B02. I heat embossed one more snowflake on a scrap of the Powder Blue card stock and die cut it and the snowman using the coordinating dies from the  Christmas Cheer Die Set. They didn't quite pop on the card so I die cut a piece of vellum with a stitched circle die and popped the duo on top of the vellum. I was then able to add glue just behind the snowflake and snowman to adhere the vellum circle to the card. All that was left was the sentiment... I heat embossed it on the Denim Blue card stock and die cut it with the coordinating die. And I popped it up on the card with foam tape.

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 36 ~ August & September 2025 KOMs ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I hope you're having a great day! Today I'm sharing my first card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 36 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I inked up a couple fun Halloween stamps from last month's and this month's Kit of the Month memberships from Unity Stamp Co.

I was inspired to not only use this fun new sketch, but I also was determined to finish off those paper scraps I opened up last month. Not sure which papers I'm talking about...?! You can check out the cards from last month here... TOPII Sketch 35 Halloween Scraps Cards. My first card features the adorable birdie in the ghost costume from the August 2025 KOM called Season of Soft & Spooky.

Copics used for the ghost birdie: YG00, YG21, V12, V06, YR21, YR15, YR68. And I used a Sakura White Gelly Roll pen to add the highlights to the eye holes.

I had plenty of scraps to make more than one card, so I just kept going! My second card also features a birdie from the August 2025 KOM called Season of Soft & Spooky. I chose plain old orange card bases for these cards. They could easily be jazzed up with dry embossed backgrounds. It was a nice change for me just using a card base that wasn't white, black or kraft... lol!

Copic markers used for the witch birdie: V12, V06, YR20, YR15, YR68, C0, C2.

My third card features the adorable bat birdie also from the August 2025 KOM called Season of Soft & Spooky. These adorable birdies are also available separately in the Creep it Tweet stamps. I die cut each of the birds from white card stock using a die from either the Grunge Cuts {tag dies} or Distressed Tickets {ticket dies}. And I distressed them with my black blending brush with minimal ink.

Copics used for the bat birdie: V12, V06, C0, C2, YR21, YR15.

I had just four scraps left so I revisited the old TOPII Sketch 28 for my fourth card. I adhered the scraps directly to the orange card base. I stamped, Copic colored and fussy cut the kitty from the September 2025 KOM called Harvest to Holiday. I popped up all of the images and the sentiments with foam tape.

Here's a list of the Copic Markers I used:
Cat: YR20, YR21, YR15, YR27
Cat Eyes: C0, C2
Hat: V000, V12, V06, YG00, YG21, YG11, C0, C3, C5, C7
Cape: YG00, YG21, YG11
Broom: E21, E25, YG11

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 36. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I came up with this card design when I was using up scraps. You can check out the original card here... February Scraps Cards.

It always feels so good to use up those scraps! And I have four cute cards to add to my Halloween stash! I think this will be a really fun sketch to play with for the next four weeks! Lots of possibilities and we can use up some more of those scraps! I hope you can find time to play along. I can't wait to see what you create. Have an INKredible week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 61 ~ Nutcracker Guardians ~ Crafty Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with one last card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 61 hosted in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Celebrating Blue Christmas with this one! My mom loved that song by Elvis Presley. She played it all the time! So naturally, I love it because it reminds me of her.

Anywho, this adorable stamp is actually a sneak peek of a new release that will be available for preorder October 20th called the Nutcracker Guardians Stamp Set!! I'm so excited for this new holiday release!! SOOO many fabulous stamps! But back to today's card, I inked up this cutie with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic markers.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R00, R20
Hair: C0, C2
Light Blue: B0000, B000, B00
Dark Blue: B00, B02, B95, B97
Black: N2, N4, N6

And I paired this cute nutcracker up with the beautiful Christmas Snow 6x6 Paper Pack. I actually picked out the papers beforehand so I was able to coordinate my colors for coloring with the papers. I used scraps for my card! Rather than use a full 5-1/2 x 4-1/4" piece of pattern paper for my background. I thought it would be fun to use three pieces of pattern paper. And the scraps worked just perfectly. Even the gray banner behind the nutcracker is a scrap. I trimmed the fishtail and adhered it to the layers.

I stamped and trimmed the sentiment, and then I popped it up on the card. I also popped up the nutcracker after I fussy cut around him leaving a nice white border. Lastly, I added a few white glitter enamel dots to finish off the card.

Here's a look at {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 61 for the month of September. There's just a few days left to enter the challenge! If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration for this sketch, check out the amazing inspiration from the design team over on the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! I'm always blown away by the creations from the DT... they are amazingly talented cardmakers!

Stay Wicked ~ Wicked Anya ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm getting excited for Halloween! Playing with the new Wicked Anya 2 reminded me of the cute Wicked Anya so I thought I'd ink her up for another Halloween card.

I've been inking up my neglected stamps and I can't believe that I haven't inked up this cutie before! Unfortunately, I can't seem to find Wicked Anya on the website. But if you'd like to add her to your collection, you can check out thFarmers Market and submit a request via email... maybe she'll be available for the next Farmers Market. Fingers crossed!

I inked up the adorable Wicked Anya and her sweet kitty companion with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them up with Copic markers. I fussy cut them on the line and then I used a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to color the edges of my fussy cutting. This makes the fussy cutting look nice and neat. I popped up Anya and the kitty on my card with lots of foam tape.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E04
Hair: E21, E23, E25
Hat: N0, N2, N4, N6, YR20, YR21, YR15, YR27, C0, C2
Dress: N0, N2, N4, N6, YG11, YG63, YG95
Boots: N0, N2, N4, N6
Pumpkin: YR20, YR21, YR15, YR27
Kitty: R00, R20, N0, N2, N4, N6
Kitty Hat: YG11, YG63, YG95, YR21, YR15, N0, N2, N4
Kitty Cape: YG11, YG63, YG95

I paired up Anya with the Hocus Pocus Palette {paper pack} from Unity. I die cut the papers and a piece of black card stock to ground Anya and the kitty using the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Unity. I adhered those pieces together and then adhered them to a black A2 card base.

I stamped, trimmed and popped up the sentiment with foam tape. Another fun Halloween card for my stash! I sure hope I've inspired you to get inky!

Membership Wednesday ~ September 2025 BOM Merry Multipack ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a fun holiday card featuring the fabulous September 2025 Background of the Month membership called Merry Multipack from Unity Stamp Co. And I paired it up with the fun birds and snowman from the September 2025 Kit of the Month, also from Unity.

You may be thinking... deja vu! And you're right! I shared a card last week with a similar design. I stamped another background only this time I flipped the colors around. I placed the Merry Multipack background stamp in my Stamp Platform and inked up the reindeer and 'ho ho ho' portions of the stamp with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Ink. After getting a nice crisp stamped image for those two sections, I cleaned off the stamp. And then I inked up the candy cane stripes and the plaid with Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink.

I die cut the background using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. And then I adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base. I stamped the cute critters and sentiment with Black Amalgam ink and colored up the critters with Copic markers.

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:
Snowman: C0, C2, R00, R20, YR20, YR15, E21, E23
Chick: Y11, Y35, YR20, YR15
Brown Chicken: E21, E23, E25, YR20, YR15, C0, C2
White Chicken: C0, C2, R20, R14, R27, YR20, YR15
Green Hat & Scarves: YG11, G24, G46, C0, C2
Red Ear Muffs, Scarves & Heart: R20, R14, R27
Ground: C0, C2

I fussy cut around this fun image leaving a white border and adhered it to the card along the edge of the scallops where the stitches are. It kind looks like they're all popping in from the card. I trimmed up the sentiment and popped it up on the card with foam tape.

Here's a quick look at this month's Background of the Month membership!

Here's a quick look at this month's Kit of the Month membership!

These fun critters are also available separately in the Fowl Weathered Friends stamps.

That's it for me today! I hope you've been INKspired to play with your membership stamps! Have a fab day!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 35 ~ Paper Wings ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing one last card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 35 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I had these lovely butterflies sitting on my desk from an event well over a year ago... haha... time sure does fly by! I figured it was about time I used them!

I had stamped these pretty butterflies from the Paper Wings stamps from Unity using Black Amalgam Ink. I colored them up with a mix of blue-green Copic markers as samples for the ladies at the event. The colors are just slightly different and less noticeable since I distressed the butterflies to tame the bright white paper.

Here's a quick list of the Copics I used for them:
Top Butterfly: BG000, BG01, BG05
Middle Butterfly: BG000, BG01, BG15, BG45
Bottom Butterfly: BG000, BG15, BG45

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 35. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I used a scrap for my strip of pattern paper... not totally sure how long it is but it was about 2" wide. This sketch challenge ends on Monday, September 29th!

Speaking of the papers... I used the gorgeous Grit & Grace {paper pack}. I love these papers so much! And the colors in them worked really nicely with the colors of the butterflies. I wrapped my background paper with some natural burlap string and secured it with some tape underneath the panel. I adhered the panel to a Kraft A2 top fold card base.

I adhered the butterflies to the strip of pattern paper and then added foam tape to the back of the butterflies and the strip of pattern paper. And then I popped it up on the card. I found a cut apart sentiment in my stash, trimmed it and adhered it to the card. I finished off the card with a few raindrop embellies. It was so fun to use some clutter from my desk and scraps from my papers for this one.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

This has been such a fun challenge! I hope you have a chance to play along with us if you haven't already! There's just a few days left to play!

I just HAD to make another Halloween card! This time I pulled out the adorable Trick or Treat Newton Stamp Set. I was so tempted to ink up all the cute kitties but I narrowed it down to these three. I die cut them using the coordinating dies from the Trick or Treat Newton Die Set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Skeleton Kitty: YR20, YR15, YR27, R00, R20
Skeleton Kitty Costume: N0, N2, N4, N6
Ghost Kitty: N2, N4, R00, R20
Ghost Kitty Costume: YG00, YG21, YG11, Colorless Blender
Witch Kitty: N0, N2, N4, YR20, YR15, R00, R20
Witch Kitty Costume: N0, N2, N4, N6, YG00, YG11
Broom: E21, E25, E11, E33

I die cut a few scraps of the Halloween Meows 6x6 Paper Pad using the A2 Card Layout Die Set. The bat papers are from the same paper pack. I trimmed it to 5-1/2 x 4-1/4" and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card that I turned on the side for a landscape card. I die cut the frame for the card from black card stock and adhered all of the pieces on the card base.

And then I just adhered the cute kitties to the bat paper. I trimmed the sentiment and popped it up on the card with foam tape.

You Are A Zillion ~ Boop the Snoot ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a fun birthday card that I made for my husband using the adorable Boop the Snoot stamps from Unity. The face on this pup! Haha... so cute! He looks just like our Satellite.

I stamped the cute pup and colored him up with just a few Copic markers: E11, E23, E25. Once I had him colored up, I fussy cut around him leaving a white border.

The background was ink smooshed with a little bit of Hickory Smoke and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks. I stamped the cute paw using the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.

I trimmed the panel to 4 x 5-1/4" and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base. And then I stamped the sentiment using the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink again. I popped up the pup with foam tape and called this card done! This was quick and so fun to make.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Another Year Older? ~ Unsportsmanlike Pissy Kitty ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a funny birthday card that I made using the awesome new Unsportsmanlike Pissy Kitty stamps from Unity. So many hilarious sentiments and this kitty's face... LOL! Love it!

I stamped the funny new pissy kitty and colored him up with Copic markers. Fun fact: I played volleyball in college and 05 was my number... so I used it for the kitty. Heehee. The numbers included with the stamps are so fun. And this kitty was so much fun to color! Once I had him colored up, I fussy cut around the edges leaving a white border.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Kitty: R00, R20, N0, N2, N4, YR20, YR15
Eyes: YG21, YG11, YG09
Uniform: YR20, YR21, YR15, YR27, YG17, G28
Football: E21, E25, E18, C0, C2

I paired the fun kitty up with the cool Tailgate and Touchdowns {paper pack}. It was so hard to pick papers from this paper pack... too many fun options! I trimmed the footballs layer to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8" and adhered it to a brown A2 card base. I trimmed the football helmet papers to 3-1/2 x 3-7/8" and adhered it to a mat of brown card stock measuring 3-9/16 x 4". And then I trimmed the football striped paper to 2-3/8 x 3-5/8" and also mat it with brown card stock measuring 2-1/2 x 3-3/4".

I trimmed the sentiment. And then I added foam tape to the back of the sentiment and the kitty and popped them both up on the card to finish it off. You can actually get Unsportsmanlike Pissy Kitty & the Tailgate and Touchdowns {paper pack} in a bundle for a limited time!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 35 ~ November Girl ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing some inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 35 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I inked up an oldie but a goodie stamp from my stash... the beautiful November Girl from Unity.

I had stamped this beauty probably last year but the project I wanted to use her for went in a different direction. She was perfect for my card today though. I used paper scraps from my stash to make my background. These papers are from the plaid papers I used earlier in the month for this card... HERE. I thought I'd use some of the scraps for my card today.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 35. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I used the measurements on the sketch for my card today.

I colored up November Girl with similar colors to the papers but with a pop of blue and teal. I had fun coloring this one with my Copic markers.

Here's a list of the Copic Markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: C0, C5, C7
Bird: Y11, Y15, B000, B91
Sprig: R14, G82, G94
Hat / Mittens / Boots: E21, E23, E25

Scarf: YR20, YR15, R14, R37

I stamped the sentiment, trimmed each of the words and adhered them to the card. I fussy cut November Girl and popped her up with foam tape. And then I finished off the card with brown enamel dots.

Inky Paws Challenge 244 ~ Fall Halloween Theme Challenge {Week 3}

Hello there crafty friend!
Sharing some more inspiration for week 3 of the Inky Paws Challenge #244 - Fall/Halloween Theme Challenge! You have until Friday, September 26th to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

My daughter and I are already trying to figure out when we'll decorate for Halloween. So it seemed only right to make a Halloween card for this weeks inspiration post.

I stamped the adorable kitty with the stack of jack-o-lanterns from the Newton's Boo-tiful Night Stamp Set. I die cut it using the coordinating dies from the Newton's Boo-tiful Night Die Set. And then I colored it up with my Copic markers.

Copic markers used:
Kitty: C0, C2, R00, R20
Jack-o-lanterns: YR000, YR21, YR15, RV10, RV02, RV14, Y11, Y08, E21, E25
Crow: N2, N4, N6

I also stamped the Spiderweb Oval Stamp Set on white card stock and die cut it using a die from the Oval Frames Die Set. I blended Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges keeping it darker around the edge and lightening my touch into the center. I die cut three bats using the bat die from the Newton's Boo-tiful Night Die Set.

I trimmed the argyle papers from the Halloween Party 6x6 Paper Pad to 4 x 5-1/4" and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base. I adhered the oval to the card along with the bats. And then I popped up the kitty and the sentiment with foam tape.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a card using this month's fun Fall/Halloween theme. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!
