Coffee... Coffee... Coffee...

I should really be unpacking... BUT I just had to make one more card for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Why?! Well, because I love coffee, of course!! Ha!

For this card I used one of my most favorite stamps, Ellie Loves Lattes from Your Next Stamp! Isn't she the sweetest!

I stamped her in VersaMark and heat embossed her with some fine black embossing powder. I masked her and then using the Misti I stamped the word Coffee and the solid heart in a fun pattern. Almost like it's all that's on her mind. Ha! I took the mask off and then watercolored her using the ZIGs (still on my desk!). I got a bit distracted so the pattern on her skirt didn't quite turn out how I had envisioned it, but it's okay... she has coffee! I went back and added some yellow to the background to help make Ellie pop a bit more on the card and also to brighten up the card... it was looking a little more fall-ish. I used a couple of fun dies from My Favorite Things to cut the watercolor panel out and the black piece of card stock... Blueprints 15. Love this set of dies! I chose this fun paper from my last few pieces of SU!'s retired Have a Cuppa DSP. To finish it off I added some black twine and popped the whole panel up and adhered it to a white card base.

Now it's time for more coffee...

Drink, Read & Be Happy!

I just couldn't help myself... I had to make another card for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!

I had inked up this stamp from Unity's Chapter One kit before but I'd never colored it in. I've been wanting to watercolor it and thought this was the perfect time to do just that!

I inked up the image with Ranger's Archival jet black ink and heat set it. I normally just start coloring, but this time I wanted to use the same colors as the patterned paper I was going to use so I made sure to find some colorful and fun paper to add to my card. I still had my ZIGs out on my desk so I used those to color in the image. I really love the bright colors on this... I think it turned out fun!

Now it's time for more coffee... and maybe a good read! ;)
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Papertrey June Blog Hop Challenge

Who's ready for another Papertrey Blog Hop?!?! Me. Me!

Here's the inspiration for this month's challenge...

Isn't it lovely!! I had so many ideas but was really limited with the few supplies that I have unpacked from our move. I used the Bloom & Grow kit that I had opened but really I had only used the stamps. I didn't even realize there were dies in the kit, for shame! I die cut the flower pot in white card stock. I used a blending tool to give an ombre look to the pot and also the card front. I stamped a few hearts as a background and adhered all the pieces. I think it turned out cute and I know just who I'm going to send it to. I hope it brings a smile to her face. :)

Here are the products I used for this card:
Stamps: Bloom & Grow kit (PTI)
Card Stock: White (PTI)
Inks: Berry Sorbet, Spring Rain (PTI), VersaMark (SU!)

If you have a minute, please leave a comment. I'd love to hear what you thought of my creation.

CYCI162 - It's a Mermaid Birthday!

Hello! It's been awhile... our family has been in the process of moving so all my crafty stuff has been partially packed. I finally have my desk set up and some crafty supplies... so I'm back! We're celebrating our daughter's 5th birthday this weekend. I decided to use the CYCI sketch challenge for a quick birthday card. She loved it!

I had the die cut piece already in my stash. I added some blues and purples to it using distress inks and oxide inks with a blending tool. I stamped and heat embossed the images onto distress watercolor card stock. I used my ZIGs to color the images. I also added a touch of glitter to the mermaid using a Clear Wink of Stella pen. I fussy cut all the images and adhered them along with the die cut onto a white card base. I then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment directly on the card base.

I can't wait to see what you create using this fun sketch as your inspiration!! Be sure to join our Facebook group so that you can see the Design Team creations and enter the challenge... Can You Case It? Challenge Group

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I just saw the posts for the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and how could I possibly pass up a chance to play with my coffee themed stamps?!

I had stamped and watercolored this image from Unity's May Kit of the Month called Free Your Dreams a little while ago.

I was just waiting for inspiration to make her into a card. I think the papers I added to the side are a nice summer touch to the card and it works well with the colors I used to watercolor the image. I'm really loving the look of white sentiments on black card stock so I thought I'd give that a try for this card, too.
Now it's time for more coffee...

CYCI160 - Another Birthday Card!!

It's another lovely Sunday with another Birthday card!! I never seem to have enough on hand!

My card today was pretty quick... I know I've said that before, but this one was seriously quick! Outside of the drying time... I'd say 6 minutes TOPS! This is one of those quick ones that you can duplicate... which is what I'm doing. Haha!

I still had the Floral Bliss stamp set on my desk so... I stamped the image of the flowers onto watercolor card stock in Archival jet black ink. I colored the panel by sprinkling some of the Color Burst pigment and then spraying it with my water bottle. I let the pigment do it's magic and soak into the paper for a few minutes. I then soaked up the excess water with a paper towel. I set it aside to dry and die cut the 'happy birthday' words in Brushed Silver card stock. Once the panel was dry, I adhered it to a piece of Brushed Silver card stock. I then adhered the strip of silver and the words. All that was left to do was adhere the entire piece to my white card base. Seriously quick card!

I can't wait to see what you create using this color combination as your inspiration!! You have 2 weeks to enter this challenge... lots of time to be creative!!
