{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 14 ~ Sugar Cookie Christmas ~ Prima Marketing Inc.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing a super quick card that I created for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 14 using some pretty papers and ephemera. I love when the papers make a card come together so quickly! Just like my cards from last week, the sentiment and focal piece is a cut apart from the Sugar Cookie Christmas paper pad by Prima Marketing Inc.

I trimmed the cut apart and mat it on white card stock. I trimmed the other layers of pattern paper from the same Sugar Cookie Christmas paper pad and also mat them on white card stock.

I adhered all the layers to a white A2 top fold card base adding scraps of card stock underneath the top layers so that each of the layers would lay flat.

I popped up the little ephemera cup with foam squares and added some fun sparkle with Sprinkled Sugar Stickles. Another Christmas card for my stash!

Here's a look at the fun {BYSHC} Sketch 14 for the month of September!
I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch! If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration, check out the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! I'll be back next Friday with one last Christmas card using Sketch 14!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #9 ~ Sugar Cookie Christmas ~ Prima Marketing

Hello there crafty friend!

Happy Friday!! I am back with my weekly Christmas card and this time I'm using some sweet Vintage style ephemera and papers from Prima Marketing!! My go-to item for any card that I need in a hurry is ephemera... and I couldn't resist the gorgeous Sugar Cookie Christmas collection from Prima Marketing. The soft pinks and blues and those fabulous vintage images... oh my heart!!

Isn't this just precious?! I chose the papers first with the sketch in mind, of course, and then I had to decide which ephemera pieces to use. The 'acme soap' piece was perfect for the slanted focal piece and that deer was an obvious choice since I already had this paper picked out!

I did end up switching around the background papers though. I originally had the deer paper under the focal piece, but you couldn't see any of the deer so I flipped the double sided papers and voila! Love it! I mat the 'acme soap' ephemera piece and the delicate leaves paper with Sweet Blush card stock from Papertrey Ink... coordinates perfectly!! I adhered the mat layers together and then wrapped it with the beautiful Tinsel Trim just taping the ends to the back of the card stock. I added a gorgeous Say It In Crystals embellishment with just a little Ranger Multi Media Matte to help it stick over the Tinsel Trim and then added two more near the top. I popped up the deer ephemera with foam squares. I cut a diagonal on the left side of the Merry Christmas sentiment and added a couple layers of scrap card stock to the bottom portion behind the sentiment so it'll sit flat on the card. All done! I love it!

Here's another look at the fun {BYSHC} Sketch 9. I'll be back next week with another Christmas card using this fun sketch! I hope you'll come check it out.

Unity Stamp Co. ~ Just Hold On ~ Metallic Watercolor Birthday Card

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing a metallic watercolored birthday card with lots and lots of shimmer!! I used the beautiful Metallic Accent watercolors from Prima Marketing Inc to watercolor the gorgeous carnations from the Just Hold On stamp set that was just released at Unity Stamp Co.!!

A lovely CAS card that was pretty quick to make too!
I die cut the panel with the Pleated Lace Rectangle die from Gina Marie Design. I adhered it directly to a white A2 top-fold card base.

I wrapped the front layer of the card with some Ivory burlap string and tied a little bow.

A look at some of the shimmer on the card!! I just love it!
You can check out my process in this video... Metallic Watercolor Birthday Card!

I sure hope you've liked the card I've shared today! I'll be back in a couple of days with more inspiration using this beautiful Just Hold On stamp set!

See ya next time.

Scrapping for Less ~ Prima Marketing ~ Happy Holidays

Hey there crafty friends!
Today, I have a couple more Christmas card ideas using some fun wood foiled icons by Prima Marketing that are available at Scrapping for Less. The beautiful wood foiled icon set that I used is called A Victorian Christmas and it's on sale!!

The set has three different designs included, but for my post today I'm just featuring the one with the sentiment. I think it's a wonderful focal piece for this card design. I die cut a bunch of pine sprigs from the Pine Needle Sprig die set by Gina Marie Designs. I positioned them just the way I wanted and then adhered each piece individually working my way from the branch on top to the branch on the bottom. This way I was able to flip the wood piece over and trim any excess from the die pieces so that it didn't get too bulky underneath and I was also able to keep the die pieces in approximately the same positions.

I found some pretty papers from my stash that I think look very nice with these wood foiled icons. They're the 6 x 6" Winterberry papers by My Mind's Eye. I die cut two of the pretty patterned papers with a large stitched rectangle die.

I then adhered a strip of the red with white polka dots paper on the side of a pine green card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I adhered the stitched rectangle backgrounds directly to the card front and then using Multi Medium Matte by Ranger I adhered the focal pieces. I just love how these turned out! I sure hope you've enjoyed them too.

See ya next time.

CYCI144 ~ A Color Challenge by Rose

It's time for a new CYCI challenge. This time it's a color challenge and check out these beautiful colors that Rose picked out. Aren't they gorgeous?!?!? Watermelon, Aqua, White, and Light Gray... I love it!!

 canyoucaseit.com

I was blessed this Christmas with a set of ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers and have had a chance to play around with them this last week. This image is my third attempt at coloring this beauty with the ZIGs. I need a lot more practice... but I sure did have fun coloring! On a side note, I didn't find a watermelon color in the ZIG assortment I have (or at least one that I liked), so I just used my Stampin' Up! Watermelon Wonder marker. I found the best way to keep the colors subtle was to scribble the ZIGs and the WW marker on an acrylic block and grab the ink with my water pen. To finish off the image I added a touch of Silver silks to her jewelry by adding a dab on my acrylic block and using a blender pen to color it in.

After coloring my main image, I wanted something with pretty flowers in the background so I pulled out a watercolor paper pad that I've been itching to use. I just love the way it turned out!! I cut that piece out with what I'm beginning to think is my favorite 'go to' die - the Scalloped Stitched Rectangle die by Gina Marie Designs. I cut out the main image and sentiment with stitched oval dies and cut the angles to fit in the rectangle. The last touch was a bit of organdy ribbon. The main image and the sentiment are popped up with stampin' dimensionals.

I hope that you will join us in this wonderful color challenge! I can't wait to see what you make. Be sure to check out the other Design Team members creations at canyoucaseit.com.

Here are the products I used for this card:
