This has been such a fun sketch! I hope you have a chance to play along with us if you haven't already! There's just a few days left to play!

I decided to make another birthday card. This time using the Newton's Birthday Delights Stamp Set. I stamped the adorable kitty and cake using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored up the sweet image with my Copic markers. I die cut it using the coordinating Newton's Birthday Delights Die Set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Orange Kitty: R00, R20, YR21, YR15, YR16
Siamese Kitty: R00, R20, W00, W1, W3, W4, W6, W7, 100 Black

Cake: C00, C1, C3, YG11, YG23, Y11, Y15, R20, R14, R27

I paired up the cute kitties and cake with the super colorful and fun Birthday Party 6x6 Paper Pad. I love the mix of colors and images in these papers! So perfect for birthday fun!

My background of fun papers was created using the Postage Stamp Layout Die. I used scraps of the pattern papers with the die to create my fun background. I also die cut a scrap of white card stock using a die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. And then I stamped the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the fun sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Back Fold Cat Card | Purr-ty Cats | Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I saw a super fun card the other day on either Instagram or Facebook... not sure. Anywho, it had a super fun fold called the back fold so I just had to try it.

And the awesome new Purr-ty Cats were just the ticket for this back fold design. Each of the kitties is stamped with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs on Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink.

They're each die cut with a circle die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. The black circle mat is also die cut with a slightly larger die from the same set.

I paired up the kitties with the Timeworn Paws Anthology {paper pack}. The circles and sentiment are lightly distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Here's a look at the fold. I finished off the card with some enamel dots from Spellbinders and a panel inside the card.

You can check out my process video for this card here... Back Fold Cat Card | Purr-ty Cats | Unity Stamp Co.

Membership Wednesday ~ November 2024 UU Snow Buddies & BOM Evergreen Wonderland ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a sweet holiday card featuring the adorable snowman from the November 2024 Uniquely Unity membership called Snow Buddies and I paired him up with the fantastic background stamp from the November 2024 Background of the Month membership from Unity called Evergreen Wonderland. These two fabulous stamps were made for each other!!

I inked smooshed a background very lightly with Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide inks. I purposely left a lot of white space in the background. I dried the background completely with a Wagner Precision heat tool. And then I heat embossed the fab Evergreen Wonderland on the background. I prepped the card stock with the TE Anti-Static Powder Tool, stamped with Sugar Cube White Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions and dusted the background with Alabaster White Embossing powder. And then I melted the powder with my heat tool.

I stamped the sweet snowman using Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs. I colored him up with my Copic markers and then fussy cut the little scene leaving a white border around the images.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Snowman: B0000, B00
Nose: YR15
Hat / Scarf: C0, C1, C3, V000, V12, V15
Around the Buttons: C0, C1
Snowy Ground: B0000, B00

I cut a simple hill from white card stock and adhered it to the background. I adhered the background to a white A2 top fold card base. Stamped the sentiment, trimmed it and popped it up on the card with foam tape. I adhered the snowman scene directly to the card.

Here's a quick look at this month's Uniquely Unity membership! Isn't it just the sweetest?!

Here's a quick look at this month's Background of the Month membership! Love it!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 27 ~ A Little Ruffled ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a bit more inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 27 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I had a fun idea to turn the sketch for a card featuring the adorable chicken from the A Little Ruffled stamps from Unity.

The sweet chicken is stamped with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and then colored up with a handful of Copic markers: E21, E23, YR21, YR15, YR27. I paired up the adorable chicken with the Enveloped in Love {paper pack}. I was drawn to the colors in the paper for this one and really the sweet chicken looks like it needs some love so these papers are perfect! I had some scraps of the papers in my paper pack and thought it would be fun to tear them. What do you think? Maybe I should have torn the small tag on the focal image too?

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 27. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I feel my cards are a good example of that, as I'm always making adjustments... this time I turned the sketch and added a tag focal piece.

I used the Make a Tag {die set} for my tag layers. I combined three fun ribbons from my stash and tied them together with some twine. Totally inspired by Jenni Shamblin's pumpkin card from our Friends of Unity hop this month! I love how she mixed ribbons... not sure mine worked as nicely but going with it anyways. LOL! The tag is popped up on the card with Scrapbook Adhesive Crafty Foam Tape.

I embossed the sentiment on Kraft card stock with Sugar Cube White Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions and Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe and the powder is melted with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. I'm having so much fun with this sketch! I hope you can find time to play along! There's still a few days to play! The challenge ends on Monday, November 25th. I can't wait to see what you create. Have an inktastic week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Paws Challenge #234 ~ Sketch Challenge {Week 3}

Hello there crafty friend!
Sharing some more inspiration for week 3 of the Inky Paws Challenge #234 - Sketch Challenge! You have until next Friday, November 29th to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

I am having so much fun with the sketch this month! I hope that you've been able to play along with us and if you haven't there's still 11 days to join in the fun!

I turned the sketch again for my card this time. And I inked up one of the larger stamps in my stash... Caffeinated Cats Stamp Set. I LOVE this stamp! It does take a bit to color though. I colored it over a couple of days. I tried to color up some Siamese kitties this time... whatcha think? I think I need more practice! LOL

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Siamese Kitties: W00, W1, W4, W6, W7, W9
Coffee: E21, E23, E25
Mugs: C00, C2, Y11, Y15, Y35, YR21, YR15, YR68, R00, R20, R14, R27, YG11, YG23, BG000, BG01, BG45

I paired up this adorable stamp set with the A Cat's Life 6x6 Paper Pad. I was tempted to use the Coffee House Stories 6x6 Paper Pad again, but thought I'd change it up with some kitty papers.

The sentiment is also from the Caffeinated Cats Stamp Set. It's stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I trimmed it and adhered it to the kitty layer and then I added foam tape to the back of both and popped them up on the card. I finished off the card with a coffee brown heart from the Caffeinated Crafting Embellishment Mix from Twiddler's Nook.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a card using this month's sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with a little inspiration for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 51 hosted in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Today I'm sharing a sweet Christmas card featuring a wonderful die set from our amazing sponsor, Jaded Blossom, called Snowman Dies

I love the fabulous selection of dies over at Jaded Blossom! I'm a huge fan of the gnome dies but I don't have any Christmas ones YET, but I recently added the adorable Snowman Dies to my collection and I couldn't wait to try them out. Aren't they just the cutest?! I love them!

I paired up the snowmen with some pretty papers from Waffle Flower called Season's Greetings. Once I chose my papers, I was able to pick out card stock that coordinated with the colors in the papers. For the snowmen and white on the beanie I used Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink. Here's a quick list of the other card stock I used for die cutting the snowmen:

Eyes / Buttons / Top Hat: True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink
Noses: Orange Zest card stock from Papertrey Ink
Arms: Dark Chocolate card stock from Papertrey Ink
Top Hat Band / Blue Scarf / Blue Beanie: Midnight Muse card stock from Stampin' Up
Berry / Red Scarf: Pure Poppy card stock from Papertrey Ink
Holly: New Leaf card stock from Papertrey Ink

The sentiment from the Christmas Village: Post Office stamp set from Jaded Blossom is heat embossed on Pure Poppy card stock with Sugar Cube White Pigment Ink from Taylored Expressions, Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe and melted with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. I die cut the sentiment using a die from the Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies from Unity.

Here's a look at {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 51 for the month of November. Loving this fun sketch! I am really enjoying all of the awesome entries, too! I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch. Pet Sympathy Card on Kraft ~ Somewhere Over the Rainbow Bundle ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!

Not one bit of coloring for this card! Just some fun ink blending with my oxide inks. I used Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks for the rainbow along with the fabulous Somewhere Over the Rainbow Stencil. I absolutely love how the rows of the rainbow alternate on the stencil... so smart for blending over!!

I die cut the rainbow panel with the largest die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Dies. I blended a little bit of Lost Shadow Distress Oxide ink around the clouds on the Somewhere Over the Rainbow Stencil. I fussy cut them leaving a little bit of a white border around the edges. I stamped the cute pup silhouette from the Somewhere Over the Rainbow stamps with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink and fussy cut him as well. The clouds and pup are adhered together and then popped up with foam tape.

You can check out my process video for this card here... Pet Sympathy Card on Kraft | Somewhere Over the Rainbow Bundle | Unity Stamp Co.

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 27 ~ Frosty & Feisty Pissy Kitty ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a bit more inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 27 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I couldn't resist inking up the new Frosty & Feisty Pissy Kitty from Unity... HILARIOUS!! I love it!

I used up a few more strips of the pattern paper I'm trying to finish off. These papers are from a company that's no longer in business, unfortunately. I love them! I'm hoping to use up the scraps soon and share the cards with you all. Maybe next week..? We'll have to see.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 27. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I feel my cards are a good example of that, as I'm always making adjustments... like this time I added a circle element for the kitty and a second sentiment.

I die cut Frosty & Feisty Pissy Kitty with a circle die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. And adhered it to the card. My paper layers are adhered to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" panel of Smoky Slate card stock from Stampin' Up.

The kitty is colored with Copic markers. I added the snow back to the image with a Sakura White Gelly Roll pen. The hilarious sentiments were trimmed and popped up on the card with foam tape. This card just makes me giggle so much!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Kitty: N0, N2, N4
Nose: R00, R20
Eyes: YG21, YG25
Hat: C00, C2, V000, V12, V15

I'm having so much fun with this sketch! I hope you can find time to play along! There's still a couple weeks left in the challenge. I can't wait to see what you create.
Have an inkredible week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

I turned the sketch for my card today. Sometimes the design just calls for it!

The cooler weather has me really loving my coffee! I thought it would be fun to ink up the Heartfelt Coffee Stamp Set again! I love the mix of coffee cups! I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it up with Copic Markers.

I die cut the coffee heart using a die from the Heart Frames Die Set. I paired it up with pretty papers from the Coffee House Stories 6x6 Paper Pad.

The sentiment was heat embossed with Sugar Cube Pigment White Ink from Taylored Expressions, Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe, and melted with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool on Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink. I adhered the sentiment to the heart and then popped them both up with foam tape. Otherwise, all of the other layers are adhered directly to a Kraft A2 top fold card base.
