Curlers & Catitude Pissy Kitty ~ Unity Stamp Co. ~ Coffee Loving Papercrafters

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm so excited to share another fun coffee themed card as a guest designer for Coffee Loving Papercrafters

Today I'm sharing a sassy kitty card featuring the adorably snarky Curlers & Catitude Pissy Kitty. I absolutely adore this kitty stamp from Unity Stamp Co.

I stamped the kitty with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs and colored her up with Copic markers. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the kitty:
Kitty: YR21, YR15, N0, N2, N4, C00, R00, R20
Eyes: YG11, G14, C00, C2
Curlers: BG10, BG01, BG72
Mug: R000, R83, R37, E21

I paired up the snarky kitty with the Perk Me Up {paper pack} also from Unity. It has a fun vintage vibe that I love! I die cut the kitty and distressed the edges with a bit of Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress Ink.

I stamped, trimmed and also distressed the edges of the sentiment. I adhered it to the bottom of the die cut circle and popped them both up with foam tape. Lots of fun to make this one! Hope you've been inspired to get inky this weekend with some caffeine themed goodies!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal

Here's a look at {BYSHC} Sketch 10 that inspired my card.

I also used the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}, also from Unity.
The sentiment is from the Mittens, Cocoa and Hearts Itty Bitty stamps.

Christmas in July 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ October 2019 KOM Keeping Spirits Bright ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with another card for the Christmas in July 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party and this time I'm featuring a card using a gorgeous stamp from the Keeping Spirits Bright {October 2019 KOM} from Unity Stamp Co. Now, I have to confess... I found this beautiful image already colored in my stash. Score! It made for a quick card for today!

I die cut the colored focal piece with the Pleated Lace Rectangles die from returning Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. Since my image was already colored I had to go looking through my Christmas papers to find one that would work and I happened to find my hoarded Figgy paper pack from BasicGrey!! Love these papers!!! I've been hoarding them for years! Anywho... the colors work really well with the colored image so I trimmed my papers and adhered them to a white A2 top fold card base.

Since this image was colored up a while ago I didn't have my list of colors to share here, but I did put a list together of which Copic Markers I think I used:

Boots ~ BG000, BG10, BG01, BG13, BG72
Ribbon ~ Y35, R000, R14, R27
Greenery ~ G24, G46
Berries ~ R000, R14, R56
Baubles ~ Y06, Y15, Y35, B0000, B00, B02
Ground ~ N0, N3

I adhered the little flag to the top left side of the die cut panel and then I popped up the focal piece and little flag piece with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment, also from the Keeping Spirits Bright KOM, with Clear Embossing ink from returning Sponsor Brutus Monroe on a scrap piece of red pattern paper and melted some Alabaster White Embossing powder also from Brutus Monroe. I trimmed the sentiment and adhered it directly over the image... I kinda wish I hadn't done that. I try not to cover up colored images. It just doesn't seem right after all the work in coloring an image, but I didn't like any other position for the sentiment on the card. I actually tried to pull it up but the glue had set quick so it is what it is!

I used another past sketch... {BYSHC} Sketch 10!! This was a fave! It also worked really well with this colored image. Have you visited the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group? We host a fun sketch challenge each month to inspire our holiday cardmaking all year long. I love revisiting the sketches and even use them for cards of all occasions.

Before you leave, be sure to stop by Unity Stamp Co... they're having a Mega Summer Warehouse sale!! Gotta love a good sale!! And if you haven't already, stop by the Christmas in July 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! I'm so excited to continue building my stash of holiday cards for 2022... I hope you'll join in the fun and play along! Let's build our stash of holiday cards this week!!

Spring into Christmas 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Sweet Seasonal Apples ~ Brutus Monroe

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back for Day 3 of the Spring into Christmas 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party! I've been working on my studio this week while we've been on Spring Break from homeschool and I came across the Sweet Seasonal Apples stamp set from returning Sponsor Brutus Monroe... a collaboration stamp with Simon Says Stamp for STAMPtember that I got last year, I believe. Anywho, I just love this snowman candy apple so I thought I'd use him for a cute holiday card.

And I paired up the stamp with the Winter Cabin paper collection, also from Sponsor Brutus Monroe. Unfortunately, it looks like this paper collection is no longer available in the shop, but there's a bunch of other beautiful holiday papers still available in the shop! In fact, I probably shouldn't have looked because paper is my weakness and I think I need a couple paper collections!! LOL!

Each month I print out the sketch challenge and keep them all in a handy file folder. I decided to look through them all for inspiration and thought that Sketch 10 would be great for my card.

I stamped the snowman candy apple with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him up with the following Copic markers:

Candy Apple ~ C00, C2, C3
Nose ~ Y06, YR15, YR68
Hat ~ N0, N2, N3, N5, R20, R14, R27, R39
Stick ~ E35, E39
Bow ~ R20, R14, R27, R39

I trimmed the focal piece and stamped the JOY sentiment. I added a mat of True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink for both the focal piece and the wood slice pattern paper. I added a couple pieces of scrap card stock under the top of the focal piece so that it would lay flat as I adhere it to the card front. I added three red Cozy Flannel Gloss enamel dots from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. I wrapped the card front with a red grosgrain ribbon simply tying a knot for a faux bow and then I adhered the card front to a white A2 top fold card base.

Have you checked out the Spring into Christmas 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party? I'm loving all the fabulous inspiration being shared so far! Even if you're not able to play along, I hope that you'll stop by and check out all the sweet inspiration being shared! So many beautiful cards!!

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 10 ~ Warm Wishes ~ The Greeting Farm

Hello there crafty friend!
I am back with one more {BYSHC} Sketch 10 card before we go into June... can you believe it's almost June?! Like days away from it?! This year is flying by! Anywho, I've used another sweet stamp from The Greeting Farm called Warm Wishes. I adore the cute boy and girl in this stamp set but I only had room for one with this sketch so I opted for the girl but I also added the adorable little snowman from the Miss Anya Hello Winter stamp set.

I used the absolutely gorgeous Winter Playground papers from Bo Bunny! So many pretty blues and flourishes... and all those beautiful snowflakes! I love love love this gorgeous paper!! Enough about that... I did a little coloring and I paper pieced her coat and boots. All of my layers have a slightly larger mat of white card stock. I fussy cut the stamped images only partially leaving a little hill of snow... it got tricky around her legs and I had to use my Fiskars Fingertip Craft Knife, but I think it turned out ok. Oh, and I almost forgot I ran my bottom layer through the Big Shot with a snowflake embossing folder from Darice just called Snowflake.

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used for this cutie:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, R00, R20
Hair ~ B000, N0, N1, N3, N6, N8
Jacket / Socks / Mittens ~ C00, C2, BG70, BG72
Skirt ~ N0, N3, N6
Snowman ~ C00, C2, YR68

Here's another look at {BYSHC} Sketch 10... there's just a few more days to play along with the sketch! Come join us in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group to see more inspiration or stop by the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog... we share inspiration on the blog each week.

Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas ~ May 2021 Edition ~ The Greeting Farm

Hello there crafty friend... or should I say crafty elf?
Haha... I'm so excited today to be guesting with The Crafty Elves! I adore making Christmas cards... which at this point can't be a surprise, and I've truly enjoyed hopping each month with the Crafty Elves. They always share the cutest cards! So I jumped at the chance to join in the fun!

One of the best parts about creating Christmas cards early is actually getting to use the stamps and goodies that you have in your stash. I have been able to use so many neglected Christmas stamps and I'm super excited about my card today because I've had this adorable stamp from The Greeting Farm for quite awhile... I believe it was released during the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember celebration in 2018 and can you believe this is the first time I've inked it up?! So sad... it's too cute not to see ink!

What do you think? Am I right?! Too cute! And a dream to color and paper piece... which is exactly what I did! I created my background layers with the Doodlebug Design Christmas Town papers. The kraft paper layer is 5-1/4 x 4" and adhered to a white A2 top fold card base. The red paper is 2-3/4 x 3-5/8" with a mat of white card stock measuring 2-7/8 x 3-3/4". The tree paper is 4-1/4 x 2-5/8" with a mat of white card stock measuring 4-3/8 x 2-3/4". The little snow drifts are die cut from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders dies. I adhered them to the tree paper before adhering it to the white mat.

I thought that the red hearts paper was perfect to paper piece for the little girls coat and the boys scarf... it goes so nicely with the hearts on the front of her coat. Here's a list of the Copic markers I used to color up these cuties:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, R00, R20

Girl's Hair ~ Y21, YR12, YR14, E15
Girl's Mittens / Coat / Tights / Hat ~ C00, C2, C4, R14, R27
Girl's Skirt / Shoes ~ N1, N3, N4, N8, R000, R14, R27
Girl's Purse ~ RV0000, RV14, RV52

Boy's Hair ~ B00, N1, N3, N8
Boy's Coat / Hat ~ YG11, G14, G17, C00, C2, C4
Boy's Jeans / Shoes ~ B93, B95, B97, N1, N3, N4, N8

I fussy cut these cuties and cleaned up the edges with a Memento Tuxedo black marker. I then adhered the red paper pieces. To make them level on the card, I added a couple of layers of scrap paper to the back upper portion of their bodies. I trimmed a couple of banner flags and adhered them to the sentiment that I had stamped and punched out with a 1" circle punch. I then adhered the sentiment and the cuties to the card.

I used the fun {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 10 flipped on the side for my card.
I've had so much fun with this sketch!

I hope you've been inspired to get a head start on your holiday cards! Be sure to stop by The Crafty Elves' blogs to see their fantastic creations this month:

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 10 ~ Christine Girl ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing another fun Christmas card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 10 over in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. I had so much fun last week with the card I made using Elsa Girl that I decided to ink up another Angie Girl that hadn't seen ink yet... Christine Girl! Isn't she gorgeous?! I had an absolute blast coloring her too!

I went with a simple color palette of black, red and white for this card! So classic for Christmas. The papers I chose to use for my layers are the My Favorite Christmas papers by Echo Park Paper. I had to use a larger panel for Christine Girl than it calls for in the sketch, but as I always say... the sketch is to inspire not require. So the panel measures 2-1/2 x 4-5/8" with a 2-5/8 x 4-3/4" black mat.

The sentiment, which is actually from the Cuddlebug Frog stamp set, is stamped on True Black card stock with Wow Clear Embossing ink and then I melted Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I trimmed it up and ended up putting it on the right side... I think it works better on that side. I used the following Copic markers to color up Christine Girl:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ E21, E25, E29
Clothes ~ R000, R14, R27, C00, C2, C4, N0, N2, N4, N6, N10, Y06, Y28, Y35

Here's another look at {BYSHC} Sketch 10... I sure hope that you're inspired to pull out your holiday stamps and papers and get a jump on your holiday cards! I'll be back again next week with another fun Christmas card! Be sure to stop by Unity Stamp Co... their big Birthday Sale is happening right now and stamps are over 50% off!!

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 10 ~ Elsa Girl ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my weekly Christmas card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 10 and this time I'm featuring a beautiful Angie Girl from Unity Stamp Co. called Elsa Girl. One of the first things that drew me to Unity stamps is their line of fabulous Angie Girls! I've collected so many of them and sadly a lot of them still have not seen ink. Today I'm inking one of those stamps up! Woohoo!

Isn't she just beautiful?! I had an absolute blast coloring and paper piecing her. I'm still working to use up some of my Christmas papers... making room for new!! So I decided to also use patterned paper as the base for the girl rather than just a white background or even coloring a scene. I think the papers actually create a great background to showcase her. I really love how this card turned out! The papers are the Deck the Halls paper pad from Echo Park Paper. I die cut the little stitched hillside border to ground the image and then fussy cut her and popped her up on the card with foam squares.

Using the same paper for her sweater and the background helps to bring the eye to the center of the card. I added a touch of copic marker to her sweater, as well. I used the following Copic markers to color up Elsa Girl:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ E21, E25, E29
Shirts ~ C00, C2, BG11, BG32
Jeans ~ B91, B95, B97, B99
Socks ~ BG0000, BG11, BG32
Boots ~C00, C2, C3, C5
Hat / Bracelet ~ C00, C2, R000, R14, R27, BG11, BG32

The sentiment is from the Cuddlebug Frog stamp set... I wanted a short sentiment and this one was perfect! I stamped it on the little strip of patterned paper from the same paper pad with Wow Clear Embossing ink and then melted some Alabaster White Embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I trimmed up the sentiment and another little flag and adhered them to the card... done!

Here's another look at {BYSHC} Sketch 10... I sure hope that you're inspired to pull out your holiday stamps and papers and get a jump on your holiday cards!

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 10 ~ Lift Me Up Birdies ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

It's time for a new sketch challenge over at the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group and I'm sharing the card I created using the sweet birdies from the Lift Me Up Birdies stamp set and the sentiment from the By Golly Be Jolly stamp set, both from Unity Stamp Co.

I cut my patterned paper layers from the Milk & Cookies paper pad from Doodlebug Design. I chose these first so that I could use colors from the papers to color up these cute birdies! For some reason I thought I saw yellow in these papers when I picked them out, but nope! I stuck with them anyways and still chose to color the birdies yellow. I think they pop on the card though. I pulled the green, pink and turquoise from the papers for their little hats! I knew I wanted them on the side a bit so the sentiment didn't cover that top birdie. So I had a fun idea to cut another piece of 2-5/8 x 4-1/4" white card stock and emboss it with a snowflake embossing folder. I used the Darice snowflake... I don't actually have the official name for it, but you could use any snowflake embossing folder. I die cut that left side of the birdies with a stitched border hillside die and then adhered my layers. To finish off the card I added those cute little Elf Cookie Sprinkles embellishments from Twiddler's Nook. I think they work perfectly with the dots in the papers!

I colored the adorable stack of birdies with the following Copic markers:

Birdies ~ Y00, Y02, Y15, YR15, YR21, YR68
Hats ~ C00, C2, RV10, RV21, R14, YG11, G14, BG0000, BG11, BG23

And finally here's a look at sketch 10... I can't wait to see what you all create with this sketch! Please don't feel limited by the measurements in the sketch. I altered the sketch to make it work for my card by making the focal piece taller for the birdies. I hope the sketch inspires you to pull out some of your holiday stamps and play along!

Well, that's it for me today... I hope you'll join us over in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group and start building your stash of holiday cards along with us!

If you're interested in a bit more inspiration using this fun sketch, head over to the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog... we're sharing a few creations by the {BYSH} Cardmakers team!
