Membership Wednesday ~ April 2023 KOM All the Wishes ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's Membership Wednesday and I'm sharing a card using the sweet wreath in the new April 2023 Kit of the Month called All the Wishes. Love the new kit! I couldn't wait to color up the sweet bird wreath from the kit.

I stamped the sweet bird wreath and colored it up with some Copic Markers. I fussy cut around the outer images and then cut around the inside images. Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used:

Birds ~ BG000, BG11, BG23, R00, R12, R05
Leaves ~ YG11, YG03, YG91, YG95, YG97
Flowers ~ Y11, Y06, Y35, R00, R12, R05

The background is ink smooshed with Abandoned Coral and Crushed Olive Distress Oxide inks. Not colors that I would normally mix together but I love the way it turned out! I was actually making a different background for another card. I hope to share that one next week. Anyhow, I really don't like wasting ink when I'm ink smooshing so I grabbed a white card front and dabbed up these inks. Love it! I die cut the background using the largest rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}. And then I adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base.

I created a wreath base by die cutting a piece of Kraft card stock with two circle dies from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from Unity. I then die cut a couple olive branches from Limeade Ice, Olive Twist and New Leaf card stock from Papertrey Ink using the Olive Branch die from Gina Marie Designs.

Here's a look at the whole Kit of the Month for April!! Love it! Can you believe that you get a full sheet of rubber for only $45. That includes shipping! You also get a $6.95 discount on every order from Unity over $45. And you can purchase any past kits for only $34 plus shipping. Such a great value! I can't wait to ink up the gorgeous hot air balloon!!

I hope to see you next week for another Membership Wednesday blog post. I'll be sharing inspiration for the amazing Background of the Month... at least that's what I'm leaning towards.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Membership Wednesday ~ Rainbow Slimline ~ March 2023 Kit of the Month ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back again today to share a rainbow slimline card using the amazing new March 2023 Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Co. Ohhh... this kit is so awesome!! You are going to love it! I just couldn't wait to ink up the houses in the kit.

I stamped them twice with Black Amalgam ink for a fun slimline card! My rainbow inspiration is actually from one of our vacations. We visited a place that had these cool rainbow houses going down the street. I can't recall the vacation or the area now... lol. Oh my memory!! But I thought it would be fun to color up the houses in a rainbow.

These houses have a lot of detail!! I just focused my Copic coloring to corners and tried to add dimension with darker shades of Copic markers where I thought portions of the house were in the background. I think it turned out pretty. I trimmed my slimline panel to 7-7/8 x 2-7/8" and adhered it to a kraft die cut from the Scalloped Stitched Slimline dies from Gina Marie Designs. The panel was then adhered to a white slimline card base measuring 8-1/2 x 7"; scored at 3-1/2".

The clouds are also in this kit and I adore them!! They have wonderful detail and the trio are perfect to use for a scene card. I added a bit of color to the bottoms with some cool grey markers. And I did fussy cut them and cleaned up the edges by coloring them with a Memento Tuxedo black marker. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Red House ~ R20, R14, R27
Orange House ~ YR21, YR15, YR16
Yellow House ~ Y11, Y15, Y35
Green House ~ YG11, YG23, G14
Blue House ~ B000, B00, B02
Indigo-ish House ~ BG10, BG23, BG49
Violet House ~ V000, V01, V12, V15
Pink House ~ RV10, RV21, RV14
Yellow-Orange House ~ Y11, Y06, YR15
Blue-Green House ~ B000, BG10, BG23
Windows ~ Y06
Sky ~ B0000, B000, B00
Grass ~ YG11, YG23, G14

Here's a look at the whole Kit of the Month for March!! So perfect and wonderful! Can you believe that you get a full sheet of rubber for only $45. That includes shipping! You also get a $6.95 discount on every order from Unity over $45. And you can purchase any past kits for only $34 plus shipping. Such a great value! I can't wait to ink up those gorgeous butterflies!!

I hope to see you next week for another Membership Wednesday blog post. I'll be sharing inspiration for the amazing Background of the Month.

Membership Wednesday ~ February 2023 Kit of the Month Happy Soul ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a pretty birthday card using the flower stamp from the gorgeous February 2023 Kit of the Month from Unity called Happy Soul. This kit has the perfect name... it makes my soul so happy whenever I play with it.

I stamped the gorgeous flowers on one of the pretty pattern papers and then I colored them up with my Copic markers. I love the touch of texture in the flowers from the script in the pattern papers.

I paired up this gorgeous flower with the Tuscan Textures {paper pack} from Unity. This is a beautiful set of papers with cream and white colors throughout and lots of texture. I thought it would look lovely with a turquoise flower.

I fussy cut around the flowers leaving a skinny border of white. My paper layers are so pretty so I didn't want to cover them up. Vellum card stock to the rescue! I love this stuff when I need that extra layer but I don't want to completely cover my pretty papers. I die cut the vellum card stock with the Pleated Lace Oval die from Gina Marie Designs. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the flowers:

Leaves ~ YG63
Flowers ~ BG10, BG13, BG18, BG78
Flower Centers ~ Y000, Y11, Y15

Here's a look at the whole Kit of the Month for February!! So gorgeous! Can you believe that you get a full sheet of rubber for only $45. That includes shipping! You also get a $6.95 discount on every order from Unity over $45. And you can purchase any past kits for only $34 plus shipping. Such a great value! I really want to ink up the branch with the cute little birdies but that may have to wait for another time.

I hope to see you next week for another Membership Wednesday blog post. I'll be back with inspiration for the February 2023 Whit Kit!

Membership Wednesday ~ February 2023 Kit of the Month Happy Soul ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday!! Today I'm sharing a sweet card using the adorable bunnies from the wonderful February 2023 Kit of the Month called Happy Soul from Unity Stamp Co. I couldn't wait to ink up these cuties! My daughter loves bunnies... she has several stuffed bunnies and even a Lego bunny. I thought this would be a cute card for her just because.

I paired these cuties up with the beautiful Kindness is Magic {paper pack}. It oozes Spring!! I love the beautiful colors in these papers! The blue papers make a nice background like the sky. I cut it to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". The yellow paper behind the white bunny makes the bunny pop on the paper. I cut that one to 1-1/2 x 5-1/2". The flower/bird paper is die cut with the the largest die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} and I trimmed off a straight edge for the circle and tucked it under the yellow paper.

I only wanted to use the 'bunny kisses' part of the sentiment since it's not really an Easter card so I masked the bottom portion of the sentiment with a post it note, inked up my stamp, removed the post it note, and then stamped the sentiment. I did this a couple times for a nice, crisp sentiment. And then I die cut it with the second smallest postage stamp die from the Postage Stamp {nesting dies}.

I added foam tape to the back of the bunnies and the sentiment and popped them both up on the card. To finish off the card I added a few red enamel dots from my stash. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used for this card:

White Bunny ~ C00, C1, C3, R00
Tan Bunny ~ W00, W2, W3, W5, E71, E74, R00
Butterfly ~ Y06, YR15, YR68, N2, N4, N6

Here's a look at the whole Kit of the Month for February! Isn't it lovely! So many wonderful stamps all in one kit. I hope to play with this kit some more this month. We shall see. :) In the meantime, I do have a very short video to share for this card. You can check it out here... Bunny Kisses | February 2023 Kit of the Month | Happy Soul | Unity Stamp Co.

I hope to see you next week for another Membership Wednesday blog post. I'm leaning towards playing with the background stamp but I'm not sure so I guess it'll be a surprise for all of us!!

Membership Monday ~ Torn Paper Layers ~ December 2022 Kit of the Month ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing one last card for the December 2022 Kit of the Month. I've played with lot of layers of pattern paper along with the beautiful mushrooms stamp.

Loving all the pretty papers from the Kindness is Magic {paper pack}. It was hard to pick papers for this one. I even decided halfway through to change out a paper because I didn't use much blue-green in my coloring. Using papers with similar colors to the mushrooms helps to balance the colors in the design.

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used for the mushrooms:

Mushrooms ~ W00, W1, W3, R20, R14, R27
Flowers ~ Y11, Y15
Leaves ~ YG03, YG63
Background ~ BG0000
Grounding ~ W00, W1

Next, the layers were all adhered together onto the bottom layer that I didn't tear for a bit of contrast to the design. Last of all, I stamped the sentiment, trimmed it and adhered it to the card.

You can check out my process video for this card here... Torn Paper Layers | December 2022 Kit of the Month | Unity Stamp Co.

Here's a look at the whole KOM... so many beautiful stamps!! Can you believe you get a full sheet of rubber for only $42. That includes shipping! You also get a $6.95 discount on every order from Unity over $40. And you can purchase any past kit for only $26 plus shipping. Such a great value! Membership Monday ~ December 2022 Kit of the Month ~ Advent Calendar Day 12 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a quick card for the December 2022 Kit of the Month. It's a busy time of year for everyone. If you find yourself in need of a card that can also be a gift... this one is quick and easy.

Today's Advent Calendar Day 12 stamp just happens to be coffee themed so I thought I'd pair it up with the cute coffee stamps in this month's KOM. Some simple copic coloring really makes this a quick card. I used T0, T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T7, R20, R14, R27. This may look like a long list but I used different ones on different cups. I also added just a touch of red to the Advent Calendar stamp.

The monochromatic design really started with that pretty black and white paper from the Coffee Lovers {paper pack}. And I couldn't help but use the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} again. They work so perfectly with the Advent Calendar stamps.

Next, the sentiment was stamped directly on the card. I had originally stamped it on a scrap and was going to cut it but this simple card just needed a simple sentiment. Easy peasy.

The inside of the card is what makes this a gift. Just add a scrap of pattern paper! Some tear tape on just the bottom and sides to adhere it to the card leaves that top open to insert your gift card.

Here's a look at the whole KOM... another fabulous kit!
Can you believe you get a full sheet of rubber for only $42. That includes shipping! You also get a $6.95 discount on every order from Unity over $40. And you can purchase any past kit for only $26 plus shipping. Such a great value! But be sure to sign up before the end of the year because prices will be increasing in January 2023!!

Membership Monday ~ August 2022 KOM Hope is Stronger ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
A quick blog post today for Membership Monday... I've used one of the wonderful new stamps from the August 2022 Kit of the Month from Unity called Hope is Stronger.

I'm drawn to warm Fall colors! I couldn't help myself and used the same oxide combo as my Masked Ink Smooshed card from the other day with the addition of a green. I used Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Vintage Photo, and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks. I also did a bit of water splatter by spritzing water in my palm and clapping my hands over the panel.

I used the brown to transition from the green to the orange. Brown blends pretty well with both, but orange and green would not have been pretty blended together. I stamped the beautiful girl sitting on the bench with Ranger Jet Black Archival ink over the ink blended background.

I die cut the panel with a die from the Frayed Edge Stacklets set from Taylored Expressions. I then die cut a piece of True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink with the largest from the same die set. I adhered them together and wrapped them a few times with {Natural} May Arts Burlap string and tied a pretty bow. I popped the panel up on my card front of Kraft card stock, also from Papertrey Ink, with lots of foam tape. And then I adhered the card front to an A2 top fold card base of Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink.

Here's a look at the amazing August 2022 Kit of the Month called Hope is Stronger! Love it! You can check out the Kit of the Month membership over at Unity Stamp Co. I'll be back next Monday to share a card using the gorgeous new Background of the Month from Unity! Hope you have a wonderful week!

Membership Monday ~ June 2022 KOM My Heart is With You ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am back with another Membership Monday post and this time I'm featuring the Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Co. called My Heart is With You.  This membership includes a large 8-1/2 x 11" sheet of fabulous red rubber and the stamps are always SO amazing!! Last month's KOM had an amazing door stamp and I made a very simple card with a bit of copic coloring on Kraft. I had a lot of people ask how I copic color on Kraft and I thought the beautiful window in this month's KOM would work great for me to show how I do it.

Before I share my process video though, I thought I'd share a few photos of my card. Isn't that window just beautiful?! I love it with the brick background!!

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used to color up the window:

Shutters ~ R20, R14, R27, R37
Hinges ~ N2, N4, N6
Window Frame ~ E51, E53, E55, E57
Light in Window ~ Y11, Y06

I used the Bricked Layering Stencil from Tim Holtz for my background along with Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide inks. The focal piece was die cut with the largest stitched rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Unity. I have to say these dies are one of my faves now... definitely ones that I reach for most often!

Here's a look at the amazing June 2022 Kit of the Month called My Heart is With You! Isn't it wonderful?!  You can check out the Kit of the Month membership over at Unity Stamp Co. I'll be back next Monday to share a card using the awesome Whit Kit membership from Unity! Hope you have a wonderful week!

Membership Monday ~ May 2022 Kit of the Month ~ One Friend ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm so excited for you all to see the new May 2022 Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Co!! The stamps in this month's kit are amazing and beautiful!! One in particular is my absolute favorite and that's the gorgeous doorway that I'm sharing in my card today.

I couldn't wait to color this beauty on Kraft card stock with my Copic Markers... the details in this gorgeous stamp really made it so easy to know where to put the shading and where to leave the coloring light.

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used to color up the doorway:

Door ~ R20, R14, R27, R37, N0, N2, N6
Opening ~ N0, N2, N6
Wall / Front Step ~ E51, E53, E55, E57
Flowers ~ G24, G46, RV10, RV21, RV14, RV34
Planter ~ Y000, Y15, Y35, Y28, G24

I die cut the colored image with a large stitched rectangle die from the Blueprints #13 dies from My Favorite Things and mat it with a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" piece of True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink. I trimmed each of the words in the sentiment and mat them each with the same black card stock. I adhered the card front to a white A2 top fold card base and was happy to say it was done... it really doesn't need anything else. I love it!

Here's a look at the amazing May 2022 Kit of the Month called One Friend! Isn't it amazing?!

Membership Monday ~ April 2022 KOM True Colors ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am finally back with a Membership Monday post and so excited to share an adorable mini slimline card featuring the beautiful owl from the April 2022 Kit of the Month called True Colors.

This month's KOM is AMAZING!!! So many gorgeous stamps... it's hard to pick one to play with first, but it wasn't impossible. I do love owls and this one is so beautiful!! I love it! It was so fun to color, too!

I kept the coloring pretty simple. I just outlined the face and breast of the owl with cool gray and outlined the wings with warm grays. I blended those out with lighter grays and bam! Super easy coloring! The flowers were also easy. I just colored with half circles focusing the darker colors in the bottom left side. I had fun mixing up yellows, pinks and a tiny pit of peach. Here's a list of the copic markers I used:

Owl ~ C00, C2, W00, W1, W3, W5, Y11, YR15
Leaves ~ YG11, YG23
Flowers ~ Y11, Y06, YR15, R12, R22, RV11, RV21, RV14

I die cut a white piece of card stock with the largest of the Lacey Lattice Mini Slimline dies from Gina Marie Designs. I masked off the left and right side with Pixie Tape and blended a tiny bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide over the Cloud & Wave Stencil from Unity. I wanted the clouds soft to keep with my soft palette so I didn't go nuts with the ink. I fussy cut the owl leaving a bit of a white border around it. I adhered the lacy die cut to a 3-1/2 x 6-1/2" piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock from Stampin' Up. I adhered the card front to a white mini slimline card base measuring 7 x 6-1/2", scored at 3-1/2". I trimmed the sweet sentiment {also from this month's KOM} and then adhered the trimmed sentiment and the owl to the card. To finish it off I added a few Translucent enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs. I love this membership at Unity! If you get the KOM and ink up this adorable owl, I sure hope you'll share your creations with it in the Unity Show & Tell.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Book Lovers Gift Idea ~ January 2022 KOM ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I had a fun gift idea for a crafty friend that is also a book lover and I used a stamp from the January 2022 Kit of the Month from Unity Stamp Co. along with elements from the sweet gift that Unity sends along with the Kit of the Month membership. In the January KOM I received a piece of pattern paper, some gold cord, a colorful wood button, a flower wood piece, a little Kraft package and it was all in a small paper bag that I used to package my gift to my friend.

I apologize for the poor quality photo of my project. I was so excited to send off the gift that I made that I forgot to take pictures of the card I made and the packaging... LOL! I did, however, record my process in making this gift and you can check that out here... Book Lovers Gift Idea | January 2022 KOM | Unity Stamp Co.

Membership Monday ~ August 2021BOM, KOM & UU ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with another Membership Monday card using the gorgeous August 2021 Uniquely Unity membership from Unity Stamp Co. called Season of Inspiration... but I also used a sentiment from this month's Kit of the Month AND the amazing Background of the Month for my card!! It was so fun to use three different memberships for this one beautiful card!

I started by blending my background of Vintage Photo, Mustard Seed, and Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide inks. I added a bit of water splatter and dabbed my background with a piece of paper towel. And then I stamped the fun Nouveau Background of the Month stamp with Ranger Archival jet black ink. I set my background aside and stamped this gorgeous pumpkin from the Season of Inspiration stamp set with Gina K. Amalgam black ink.

I colored up the pumpkin with the following Copic markers:

Blossoms ~ Y06, Y15, YR15, YR16, YR21
Pumpkin ~ E33, G24, BG70, BG72, BG75

I fussy cut the pumpkin and cleaned up the edges with a Memento Tuxedo black marker.

I die cut a piece of Kraft card stock with the Frames: Scalloped Stitched Rectangles from Gina Marie Designs. I adhered the die cut piece to my background and then adhered the entire panel to a white A2 top fold card base. I stamped the Happy Fall sentiment from the Pumpkin Season KOM with Wow Clear embossing ink and then melted some Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I trilled the sentiment and actually die cut it with the Frames die on that right side so that it would match up with scallops. I adhered the sentiment to the card and added a few enamel dots in coordinating colors. I love making Fall cards!! This one turned out just as I envisioned... so pretty!

Here's a quick look at the three memberships that I used for this card...

Aren't they all just SO BEAUTIFUL?! I can't wait for Fall!! Well, that's it for me today. I'll be back next week with one more Membership Monday card!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
