Inky Paws Challenge #239 ~ Color Challenge {Week 3}

Hello there crafty friend! Happy Easter!
Sharing some more inspiration for the Inky Paws Challenge #239 - Color Challenge! You have until Friday, May 2nd to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Such a gorgeous color combo for any occasion but this time I had to make an Easter card. Our colors for the challenge are Dusty Violet, Spring Green, Sunshine Yellow, and Cocoa Brown!!

I stamped the cute images from the Easter Postage Sampler Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Colored them up with my Copic markers and then I die cut them using the coordinating die from the Easter Postage Sampler Die Set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Bunny: E21, E23, E25, C00, C2
Eggs: YG11, YG03, YG63, V000, V12, V15, Y11, Y15
Tulip: V000, V12, V15, YG11, YG03, YG63

I used some scraps leftover from a previous card that I had die cut using the Postage Stamp Layout Dies. I blended lightly with Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the little rectangle pieces. And then I cut three slightly larger rectangles and adhered the little postage pieces together. This gave them a little more stability. I adhered the cute images to the postage pieces and set them aside.

I blended a fun background on the front of a white A2 top fold card base using the Bunny Tails Stencil Set. I blended the bunny outlines with Villainous Potion keeping it light. And then I blended the little bunny tails with Wilted Violet Distress Ink. I die cut the beautiful sentiment from the Happy Easter Die three times from Kraft card stock. I adhered them all together to give the sentiment some dimension. I die cut the shadow layers from white card stock. I played around with the placement of all of the pieces for way too long... LOL... until I settled on the above. I really love how this turned out!

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the color combo of Dusty Violet, Spring Green, Sunshine Yellow, and Cocoa Brown. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Paws Challenge #239 ~ Color Challenge {Week 2}

Hello there crafty friend!
It's week two of the Inky Paws Color Challenge! We're playing with a fun mix of colors this month for a Color Challenge! I sure hope that you'll join us and play along with your Newton's Nook Designs products! You have until Friday, May 2nd to get your entries in for the #239 Color Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Our lovely colors are... Dusty Violet, Spring Green, Sunshine Yellow, and Cocoa Brown!! This beautiful color combo is perfect for spring cards and more! Create a garden scene, try adding the colors to a birthday card or mix in a pet with brown fur!

I was inspired to make another Spring card. This time I inked up the beautiful Spring Haul Stamp Set. This is one of my favorite stamps! I die cut the truck using the coordinating Spring Haul Die Set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Truck: YG11, YG03, YG63, E30, E33
Lights: R20, R14, R27
Tires: N0, N2, N4
Bumper: C00, C1
Daffodils: Y11, Y15, YG11, YG03, YG63
Tulips: V000, V12, V15, YG11, YG03, YG63
Daisies: C00, C1, Y11, Y15, YG11, YG03, YG63
Pots: E30, E33
Watering Can: N0, N2, N4
Blanket: Y11, Y15, V000, V12, V15

Inspiration for my card comes from the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 31. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I'd love for you to join in the fun over at the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group.

I paired up the cute truck with the Pastel Basics 6x6 Paper Pad. I am loving the Spring colors in this paper pad! I cut the pattern papers to the measurements in the sketch and adhered them to a Kraft A2 top fold card base.

I wanted a layer between the truck and the pattern papers so I die cut a circle using a die from the Circle Frames Die Set. I heat embossed the sentiment with my favorite white embossing combo... I prepped the card stock with TE Anti Static Powder from Taylored Expression, stamped with Sugar Cube Pigment Ink from Taylored Expressions, Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe, and I melted it with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. I popped up the truck with foam tape to finish off the card.

Inky Paws Challenge #239 ~ Color Challenge {Week 1}

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new Inky Paws Challenge! We're playing with a fun mix of colors this month for a Color Challenge! I sure hope that you'll join us and play along with your Newton's Nook Designs products! Don't forget... our challenges are a whole month long so there's lots of time to play along! Yay! You have until Friday, May 2nd to get your entries in for the #239 Color Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Our beautiful colors are... Dusty Violet, Spring Green, Sunshine Yellow, and Cocoa Brown!! Love this combo!

I stamped the adorable critters from Spring Pile Up Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the critters with Copic Markers. I die cut them using the coordinating Spring Pile Up Die Set

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used for the kitty and heart:
Bird: Y11, Y15, YR15
Bunny: W00, W1, W3, R00, R20, C00, C2
Tulips: V000, V12, V15, YG11, YG03, YG23
Sheep: C00, C2, N0, N2, N4, R00, R20
Basket: YG11, YG03, YG23
Eggs: Y11, Y15, V000, V12, V15, YG11, YG03, YG23

I created my background by die cutting scraps of pattern paper using the awesome Fractured Card Layout Die. I also die cut a piece of Kraft card stock to get the outline and the center piece. I heat embossed the sentiment using Sugar Cube Pigment White ink from Taylored Expressions, Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe and I melted the powder with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool.

These beautiful pattern papers are from the Spring Blooms 6x6 Paper Pad. Such pretty papers! I also die cut the Happy Easter sentiment using the die from the Spring Pile Up Die Set. I wanted to ground the critters with a strip of card stock but it looked so plain so I added the extra sentiment. I finished off the card with a few white enamel dots.

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 31 ~ Flutter & Fur ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm also sharing some inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 31 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I inked up the super cute and adorable bunnies from the Flutter & Fur stamps. I adore these two!

I stamped the bunnies and sentiment with Amalgam Black ink on Stampers Select White card stock and colored them up with Copic Markers. Fussy cut the bunnies and butterfly and the sentiment with my Cutter Bee scissors and adhered them together.

Here's a list of the Copic Markers I used:
White Bunny: C00, C2, C3, R00, R20, B0000, B00
Gray Bunny: R00, R20, W00, W2, W3, W5, G000, G24
Butterfly: Y06, YR15, YR68, N2, N4

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 31. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it.

I paired up these sweet buns with some Easter papers in my stash. I think I've inadvertently decided to finish off these Easter papers because I've left them on my desk and have reached for them a few times. We'll see if I get them finished or not. I do love the chocolate bunnies in the papers and the browns. So cute! I adhered the bunny and sentiment to a vellum egg shape that I die cut using a die from the Nesting Eggs Die from Waffle Flower. I popped the combo up on the card by adding foam tape behind the sentiment and bunnies.

I finished off the card with a few enamel dots from my stash. I'm having so much fun with this sketch! I hope you can find time to play along. Have an ink-tastic week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Membership Wednesday ~ February 2025 UU Cottontail Cutie ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Happy Membership Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a sweet card featuring the adorable bunny from the February 2025 Uniquely Unity membership from Unity called Cottontail Cutie.

Isn't she the cutest bunny ever?! Love her! I stamped the bunny with Black Amalgam ink and colored it up with some Copic markers. I stamped the bunny again on a larger piece of white card stock and die cut it using a square die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies}. I fussy cut the Copic colored bunny and adhered it over top of the square die cut bunny.

Here's a quick list of the ones I used:
Bunny: W00, W1, W3, C00, C2, R00, R20
Egg: RV10, RV02, V12, V15

I paired up the sweet bunny with the awesome Linen background stamp. I stamped the background a few different times using Kitsch Flamingo, Tumbled Glass and Mustard Seed Distress Inks.

I stamped and trimmed up the sentiment. I added foam tape to the back of the sentiment and the bunny and popped them up on the card. I finished up the card with a few white enamel dots. So fun! I love it soo!

Here's a quick look at this month's Uniquely Unity membership! Love it!

Inky Paws Challenge #197 ~ Color Challenge Reminder

 Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #197 - Color Challenge!! You have until this coming Friday, May 12th to get your entries in for the #197 Color Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Here's another look at the fun colors... Royal Blue, Olive Green, Sunshine Yellow, and White.

Trucks are one of my obsessions when it comes to stamps so I just had to play with the Spring Haul Stamp Set again. I thought the truck would love lovely in a Royal Blue... what do you think? I meant to use the Spring Haul Die Set to die cut the truck and pop it up on the card for a bit more dimension but I was in a groove and forgot. I think it still turned out pretty nice. My background layer is the lovely yellow gingham paper from the Spring Blooms Paper Pad. It's cut down to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" and adhered to a white A2 top fold card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11; scored at 5-1/2".

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Truck ~ B000, B00, B05, B24, B28, C00, C1, C3
Brake Lights ~ R20, R17
Tires ~ N0, N2, N4, N6
Blanket ~ C00, C1, YG03, G99
Plant Pots ~ N0, N2, N4
Watering Can ~ N0, N2
Daffodils ~ Y06, Y15, C00, C2
Tulips ~ Y06, Y35
Daisies ~ Y06, Y35
Leaves / Grass ~ YG03, G99

I die cut a scalloped circle from Daffodil Delight card stock from Stampin' Up using one of the dies from the Circle Frames Die Set. I also die cut the truck using the next smallest die in the set. I adhered those together and then adhered them directly to the card. I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and trimmed it cutting fishtails on either end. I then I die cut a piece of Old Olive card stock using one of the flag dies from the Frames & Flags Die Set. I adhered them together and then adhered them to the card. I love how this card turned out.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project with the color combo of Royal Blue, Olive Green, Sunshine Yellow and White. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Inky Paws Challenge #195 ~ Sketch Challenge Reminder

 Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #195 Sketch Challenge!! You have until Friday, April 14th to get your entries in for this fun challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

I had a super fun and creative idea for my second card for the current Sketch Challenge over at Inky Paws Challenge. I created a scene card using papers from the new Spring Blooms 6x6 paper pad along with the Sky Scene Builder die set. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the sun and clouds ~ Y11, Y06, Y35, Colorless Blender, BG000

And my card features the adorable bicycle girl from the Loads of Blooms stamp set. I stamped her up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her up with the following Copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Dress / Shoes / Leaves ~ YG11, G14
Flowers ~ C00, C1, C3, Y11, Y06, RV10, RV13, RV14
Flower Centers ~ Y11, Y06, Y35, YR04
Bicycle ~ B000, B02, B05
Tires / Pedals / Handles ~ N0, N2, N4, N6
Basket ~ RV10, RV13, RV14

This time I mat each of my pattern paper blocks. The square pattern paper measures 2-3/8" squared with 2-1/2" squared white mats. And the rectangle pattern paper measures 1-1/8 x 2-3/8" with 1-1/4 x 2-1/2" white mats. I adhered them all to a green pattern paper from the paper pad and then adhered my card front to a white A2 top fold card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11"; scored at 5-1/2".

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white card stock. Trimmed the edges and cut a flag on the right side. Before adhering the sun and clouds to each other I laid them out on the card and marked the one cloud on the right so I could I trim it with my cutter. I die cut a piece of vellum using a circle die from the Circle Frames die set. I wanted the bicycle girl to be the focal image and I think the vellum helps to bring her to the front.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the fun sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Inky Paws Challenge #195 ~ Sketch Challenge

 Hello there crafty friend!
Who's up for a new challenge?! It's time to get our paws inky with a fun sketch challenge! I had a blast with this sketch! I can't wait to see the entries for this one. You have until Friday, April 14th to get your entries in for the #195 Sketch Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Another great sketch just perfect for pretty pattern papers!! And so fun... I played with some new Spring release goodies. Doesn't this card just scream Spring!

I used the brand new Spring Blooms 6x6 Paper Pad for my paper layers!! Eeep! Loving the pretty Spring colors and flowers in this paper pad! My paper choices contrast enough on their own so I didn't mat any of my papers. The tulips papers measure 2-1/2" squared. And the cute yellow daisy papers measure 1-1/4 x 2-1/2".

I stamped the sentiment with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink. I stamped the beautiful truck, tulip and butterflies from the Spring Haul Stamp Set on white card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. And colored it up with the following Copic markers:

Truck ~ BG000, BG10, BG01, E51, E55, E57, N0, N2
Brake Lights ~ R20, R14, R27
Tires ~ N0, N2, N4, N6
Blanket ~ YG11, G14, Y000, Y13, Y18
Plant Pots ~ E51, E55, E57, E17
Watering Can ~ N0, N2
Daffodils ~ Y000, Y13, Y18
Tulips ~ V20, V22, V17
Daisies ~ RV10, RV13
Leaves ~ YG11, G14
Butterflies ~ RV10, RV13, V20

I die cut the truck, tulip and butterflies using the coordinating Spring Haul Die Set. I adhered all of my paper layers to the bottom purple pattern paper. I wrapped the panel with some burlap string a few times and tied a pretty bow. And then I adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Inky Paws Challenge #194 ~ Color Challenge

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for another fun Inky Paws Challenge... a Color Challenge!
I sure hope that you'll join in the fun and play along with us with your Newton's Nook Designs products! You have until Friday, March 31st to get your entries in for the #194 Color Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

How beautiful are these colors... Bubblegum Pink, Lilac, Spring Green and White

I do love the look of a Clean & Simple {CAS} card with a lot of white and even though this card has a lot of white I don't think it's considered a true CAS card because of all the layers. Still... it works for our current color challenge.

A white A2 card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11"; scored at 5-1/2" for my bottom layer. Another white layer that was die cut with the largest postage stamp die from the Framework Die Set. My main white panel measures 3-1/4 x 4-1/2" and I die cut some white clouds with a die from the Sky Borders Die Set. Just a touch of the pink and purple and a pop of green with some die cut grass using the Land Borders Die Set

I stamped the sweet critters from the Spring Pile Up stamp set with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I colored them up very simply with my Copic Markers and then die cut them with the coordinating Spring Pile Up Die Set. Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used to color up the sweet critters:

Birdie ~ V000, V12, V17, YR15
Bunny ~ C00, C1, C3, RV000, RV10, RV13, RV14
Tulips ~ RV000, RV10, RV13, RV14, YG11, YG23
Sheep ~ C00, C1, C3, N0, N2, N4, RV000, RV10, RV13
Basket ~ E21, E23, E27
Eggs ~ RV000, RV10, RV13, RV14, V000, V12, V17, YG11, YG23

You can check out my process video here... Hippity Hoppity Easter | Spring Pile Up | Newton's Nook Designs.

Inky Paws Challenge #193 ~ Spring Theme Challenge Reminder

  Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #193 - a Spring theme challenge! You have until this coming Friday, March 17th to get your entries in for the #193 Spring Theme Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Changing things up today with a flower stamp! Daisies are my favorite flower.

I just adore these sweet daisies from the Dainty Daisies stamp set from Newton's Nook Designs. I am also in love with the detail in the coordinating Dainty Daisies die set... oh my gosh! It even cuts out those itty bitty spots between the flowers. Love! Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the daisies:

Pink Daisy ~ RV000, RV10, RV13
Purple Daisy ~ V01, V12, V15
White Daisies ~ C00, C1, C3
Daisy Centers ~ Y11, Y15, Y35
Leaves & Stems ~ YG11, YG13

I was so excited to see Spring colors in the Love & Chocolate Paper Pad. I hadn't played with these papers yet so I was happy to finally use a few for my card. I also used the wonderful Frames Squared Die Set to die cut all my pattern paper layers. The sentiment was also die cut using the largest circle die in the Frames Squared Die Set.

All my paper layers are adhered together and then adhered to a 5 x 10" card base scored at 5" for a 5" square card base. I adhered the two white daisies on the left to the sentiment circle and then I added foam tape to both pieces. I then popped them both up on the card.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project with a Spring theme. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
