Inky Paws Challenge #227 ~ Color Challenge Reminder

 Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #227 - Color Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, July 19th to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Here's another look at the fun colors... Amethyst Purple, Fuchsia Pink, Sky Blue, and Sand Brown.

I had a fun idea for a sunset card using the Hills & Grass Stencil to create my sunset background. I blended Tumbled Glass and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks over the top of the stencil. I then cut a mask to cover those colors up and blended Vintage Photo Distress Ink for my ground leaving some white at the bottom of the panel. Next I die cut the panel using the largest die from the Frames & Flags Die Set and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base that I turned on its side for a landscape card.

You can check out my short video sharing how I created the sunset here: Sunset Distress Ink Blend | Inky Paws Challenge 227 | Newton's Nook Designs

I stamped the pretty truck from the Spring Haul Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it up with my Copic markers. I then die cut the truck using the coordinating Spring Haul Die Set. I added foam tape to the back of the truck and popped it up on the card.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Truck: B000, B00, B02, E30, E33
Lights / Bumper / Mirror: C00, C1, C3
Tires: N0, N2, N4, N6
Watering Can: N0, N2, N4
Tulips: V000, V12, V15
Daffodils: RV10, RV13, RV14
Daisies: C00, C1, Y11, Y15
Leaves / Stem: YG03
Pots: E30, E33
Blanket: C00, C1, C3, V000, V12, V15

Before popping up the truck on the card, I placed my card in my misti and stamped the sentiment from the Dainty Daisies Stamp Set. I added three pretty clear enamel drops to finish off the card.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project with the color combo of Amethyst Purple, Fuchsia Pink, Sky Blue, and Sand Brown. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Inky Paws Challenge #227 ~ Color Challenge

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new Inky Paws Challenge... a beautiful Color Challenge
I sure hope that you'll join in the fun and play along with us with your Newton's Nook Designs products! You have until Friday, July 19th to get your entries in for the #227 Color Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Such an amazing color combo... Amethyst Purple, Fuchsia Pink, Sky Blue, and Sand Brown!!

My first thought when I saw these beautiful colors was the Bokeh Stencil Set would make a beautiful background!! For the first stencil in the set, I blended Wilted Violet and a bit of Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks. And then I replaced the first stencil with the second one in the set and blended Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink.

I trimmed up the panel to 3-3/4 x 5" and mat it with a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8" piece of Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink. I then adhered the panel to a white A2 top fold card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11"; scored at 5-1/2".

I stamped the adorable kitty and the sentiment from the Newton's Birthday Balloons Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored up the kitty with a handful of Copic markers. I fussy cut the kitty leaving a white border. If you don't like fussy cutting there is a coordinating Newton's Birthday Ballons Die Set available (it's on my wishlist!). I trimmed up the sentiment and cut two small scraps of card stock. I adhered the scraps together and then adhered them on the back right edge of the sentiment allowing the sentiment to lay flat on the card when I adhered it. I added foam tape to the back of the kitty and popped him up on the card.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Kitty: R00, R20, YR000, YR21, YR15
Gift: E30, E33
Pink Balloon: RV10, RV11, RV02, RV13, RV63, RV14
Purple Balloon: V000, V12, V15
Blue Balloon: B000, B00, B02

Inky Paws Challenge #224 ~ Color Challenge Reminder

 Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #224 - Color Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, June 7th to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Here's another look at the fun colors... Posy Pink, Sunny Yellow, Grass Green, and White.

I love the beautiful soft colors of this challenge! It got me thinking of Spring and then all of the rain we've been having here in Missouri. So naturally that had me thinking of the adorable Rainy Day Doxie Stamp Set. I just had to ink him up! I stamped the pup using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored him up with my Copic markers and then I die cut him using the coordinating Rainy Day Doxie Die Set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Pup: E11, E13, E17, E09
Umbrella: RV10, RV11, C00, C1, Y11, Y15
Rain Coat: YG11, YG05, Y11, Y15, RV10, RV11
Grass: YG11, YG05

I paired up the sweet pup with the Spring Blooms 6x6 Paper Pad. The colors in these papers are so perfect for this challenge! I die cut the daisy papers using the stitched scalloped die from the Framework Die Set. I die cut a scrap of white card stock using the tag die from the Frames & Tags Die Set and stamped the sentiment in the center. I adhered my paper layers to a white A2 top fold card base. I adhered the pup to the grass. I added foam tape to the back of the pup and the sentiment and then popped them up on the card. I made a little faux bow by tying a knot in yellow grosgrain ribbon. I adhered it to the card using a mini glue dot.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project with the color combo of Posy Pink, Sunny Yellow, Grass Green, and White. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Inky Paws Challenge #224 ~ Color Challenge

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new Inky Paws Challenge... a beautiful Color Challenge
I sure hope that you'll join in the fun and play along with us with your Newton's Nook Designs products! You have until Friday, June 7th to get your entries in for the #224 Color Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Lovely Spring colors... Posy Pink, Sunny Yellow, Grass Green, and White!!

My first thought when I saw these beautiful colors was the Pastel Basics 6x6 Paper Pad!! It has all the colors and it's so perfect. Plus, I already had some pieces die cut from my polka dot card last month that would be perfect for this card!

I love mix matching all these beautiful papers to create cards! So easy and so pretty! I did have to die cut the green heart polka dot paper using the awesome frame die from the Frames & Tags Die Set. I trimmed a piece of the green heart polka dot paper slightly larger than the larger bottom window and then secured it to the back of the die using washi tape. A great way to utilize this awesome die without stockpiling a whole bunch of leftover pieces!

I stamped the beautiful daisies and the sentiment from the Dainty Daisies Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored up the daisies with a handful of Copic markers. I die cut the flowers using the coordinating Dainty Daisies Die Set. I trimmed up the sentiment and cut two very thin scraps of card stock. I adhered the scraps together and then adhered them on the back right edge of the sentiment allowing it to lay flat on the card when I adhered it.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Daisy Petals: C00, C1, C3
Daisy Centers: Y11, Y15, Y35, Y28
Stems / Leaves: YG11, YG23

Inky Paws Challenge #221 ~ Color Challenge Reminder

 Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #221 - Color Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, April 26th to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Here's another look at the fun colors... Dusty Blue, Moss Green, Golden Yellow, and White.

This time I played with the super cute Newton's Birthday Balloons Stamp Set. I had a fun idea for a CAS-ish card using the awesome frame die from the new Frames & Tags Die Set. I love this frame die! And I had a bunch of extra pieces left over from one of my polka dot cards earlier this month so it was kind of a quick card too.

I stamped the sweet kitty from the Newton's Birthday Balloons Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock and colored it all up with some Copic markers. I also stamped a few clouds using the cute little cloud included in the set. Now, I was shocked to find that I still don't have the coordinating dies for this set. So I fussy cut everything on the line and then colored the edges of the cutting with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker making the edges all nice and neat.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the kitty and balloons:

Kitty: R00, R20, N0, N1, N3, N5, YR21, YR15, C00, C1, C3
Balloons: Y11, Y15, B0000, B000, YG11, YG03
Present: YG11, YG03
Clouds: B0000, B000

I paired up the sweet kitty with the Pastel Basics 6x6 Paper Pad. It was so handy just pulling out these die cut pieces from my paper pad and adhering right on the white A2 top fold card base that I turned on it's side. I also die cut a scrap of white card stock using the frame die from the Frames & Tags Die Set and stamped the sentiment in the center. I adhered the clouds and kitty directly to the card and called this card done! I'm so pleased with how this one turned out!

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project with the color combo of Dusty Blue, Moss Green, Golden Yellow, and White. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Inky Paws Challenge #221 ~ Color Challenge

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new Inky Paws Challenge... a beautiful Color Challenge
I sure hope that you'll join in the fun and play along with us with your Newton's Nook Designs products! You have until Friday, April 26th to get your entries in for the #221 Color Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Lovely Spring colors... Dusty Blue, Moss Green, Golden Yellow, and White!! So soft and pretty!

I started by die cutting a few larger scrap pieces of Stamper's Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink using the Sky Borders Die Set. I also die cut a few single clouds using a couple cloud dies from the Sky Scene Builder Die Set. And I just had to add a sun peeking through the clouds so I die cut the sun from Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight card stock from Stampin' Up using the sun die from the Sky Scene Builder Die Set. I tucked the other sun back in with my dies... now I have a sun ready to go for next time I use these dies.

I paired up the adorable Newton's Umbrella Stamp Set with the super cute A Cat's Life 6x6 Paper Pad. These papers had just the right colors for my scene and for the color challenge! I trimmed the striped blue paper down to 4 x 5-1/4". I die cut the green polka dot paper using the grass die from the Land Borders Die Set. I die cut the same piece a couple of times so that I could make a nice layer of grass for my scene.

I stamped the sweet kitty and the sentiment from the Newton's Umbrella Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored up the kitty with my Copic markers. I die cut the kitty using the coordinating Newton's Umbrella Die Set. I also trimmed up the sentiment and adhered it directly to the card. I adhered all of my layers to the striped blue pattern paper and then trimmed off the excess from the edges. I added foam tape behind the kitty and popped him up on the card.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Kitty: R00, R20, C00, C1, C3, 0
Umbrella: Y11, Y15, Y35, YG11, YG03, C3

Inky Paws Challenge #218 ~ Color Challenge Reminder

 Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #218 - Color Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, March 15th to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Here's another look at the fun colors... Violet, Lavender, Yellow, and White.

This time I played with the super cute Newton's Peeps Stamp Set. We just recently got some baby chicks and they are just the cutest!! For the color challenge I just colored them all yellow, but ours came as a mix of yellow, brown and black. All so cute! I fussy cut the cute little chick because I don't have the coordinating dies, but you better believe I added the dies to my wishlist! LOL

Inspiration for my card comes from the current Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 19. Having this fun sketch in mind, I was able to whip up a cute Easter card really quick. Love how it turned out!

I stamped the sweet kitty and peeps with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock and colored it all up with some Copic markers. Die cut the kitty using a stitched die from the Circle Frames Die Set. Stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white card stock and trimmed it. Adhered the sentiment to the circle and then added foam tape to the back of both and popped them up on the card.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the kitty ice cream:

Kitty: R00, R20, C00, C1, C3
Kitty's Collar: V000, V12, V15, V17, Y15, Y28
Basket: V000, V12, V15, C00, C1, C3
Bow: V000, V12, V15, V17
Peeps: Y11, Y15, YR15
Ground: N0, N1, N3

I used the pretty postage stamp die from the Framework Die Set to die cut the yellow and purple pattern papers from the Spring Blooms 6x6 Paper Pad. I trimmed the purple paper and adhered it to the center of the yellow paper for my background. I adhered the pattern paper layers to a card base of Orchid Opulence card stock from Stampin' Up {may be retired, not sure}. I've been using some of my colored card stocks for bases lately. I just go through so much white card stock! I have to supplement a bit to make it all stretch...

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project with the color combo of Violet, Lavender, Yellow, and White. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Inky Paws Challenge #218 ~ Color Challenge

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new Inky Paws Challenge... a beautiful Color Challenge
I sure hope that you'll join in the fun and play along with us with your Newton's Nook Designs products! You have until Friday, March 15th to get your entries in for the #218 Color Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Such beautiful Spring colors... Violet, Lavender, Yellow, and White!! Love them!

I started by die cutting a piece of Stamper's Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink using the stitched rectangle die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. I then lined up the first stencil from the Bunny Tails Stencil Set centering it on the panel and secured it to the back of the die cut panel using purple tape.

I then blended Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks over the stencil. I dried the ink with my heat tool and replaced the stencil with the second stencil in the set. I used a crafty palette knife to apply Distress Textured Paste Sparkle. Now, I actually thought I grabbed just the regular textured paste for white bunny tails. Oops! I do like the sparkle! Interesting how it changed the purple inks to pink. I did add one cute little white pom pom to the bottom bunny. Just for some interest and dimension on the card.

I die cut a piece of Perfect Plum card stock from Stampin' Up using the banner die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. I then heat embossed the sentiment from the Spring Pile Up Stamp Set using white pigment ink, white embossing powder and a heat tool. I die cut the purple stripes paper from the Springtime 6x6 Paper Pad using the largest stitched and scalloped die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. I placed a scrap of the yellow pattern paper over top of the die cut piece and laid the large die over top. I secured the yellow pattern paper to the die using washi tape and then ran it through my big shot. All that was left was to adhere all of my layers together onto a Perfect Plum card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" that I adhered to a white A2 top fold card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11", scored at 5-1/2".

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the color combo of Violet, Lavender, Yellow, and White. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Inky Paws Challenge #215 ~ Color Challenge Reminder

 Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #215 - Color Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, February 2nd to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Here's another look at the fun colors... Pink, Teal, Ice Blue & Cookie Dough Brown.

I went with a simple card for today featuring the adorable Newton's Birthday Delights Stamp Set. The coordinating Newton's Birthday Delights Die Set came in super handy to die cut these cute kitty and ice cream!

I stamped kitty ice cream with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock and colored it all up with some Copic markers. I added some foam tape to the back of the image and sentiment and popped them up on the card. I mixed some papers from the Love & Chocolate 6x6 Paper Pad for my paper layers and adhered them to a kraft A2 top fold card base.

I die cut the brown striped paper using the stitched and scalloped die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. I heat embossed the sentiment on kraft card stock using anti-static powder, white pigment ink, white embossing powder, and my heat tool. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the kitty ice cream:

Cherry: RV0000, RV10, RV13
Tortoise Shell Kitty: R00, R20, N0, N1, N3, YR21, YR15, Colorless Blender
Ice Blue Scoop: B0000, B00
White Kitty: R00, R20, C00, C1, C3
Pink Scoop: RV10, RV13
Grey Kitty: R00, R20, N0, N1, N3
Chocolate: E23, E25, E27

Inky Paws Challenge #215 ~ Color Challenge

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new Inky Paws Challenge... a beautiful Color Challenge
I sure hope that you'll join in the fun and play along with us with your Newton's Nook Designs products! You have until Friday, February 2nd to get your entries in for the #215 Color Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Absolutely gorgeous colors... Pink, Teal, Ice Blue & Cookie Dough Brown!! Love them!

I'm trying to ink up some stamps that I haven't used yet so I thought the Caffeinated Cats Stamp Set would be a cute stamp for this challenge. But I wasn't quite in a mood to color up the whole image so the Spotlight Technique was perfect for this card. I die cut the panel using the large postage stamp die from the Framework Die Set. And die cut a portion of the kitty panel using a stitched circle die from the Circle Frames Die Set. I also die cut a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock from Stampin' Up using the scalloped and stitched circle die also from the die set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used to color up the spotlight circle:

Cookie Dough Brown Cat: RV10, RV13, R00, R20, E30, E31, E33, Colorless Blender
White Cats: RV10, RV13, R00, R20, C00, C1, C3
Cookie Dough Brown & Ice Blue Cups: E30, E31, B000, B00
Ice Blue & Pink Cups: B0000, B000, B00, RV10, RV13
Teal & Pink Cups: BG0000, BG11, BG34, RV10, RV13

I heat embossed the sentiment with my go to combination of products... I applied TE Anti Static Powder to the Coastal Cabana card stock, stamped the sentiment with Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions, added Alabaster White Embossing Powder to the ink from Brutus Monroe and melted the powder with my Wagner Precision Heat Tool. Once the sentiment was cooled I wiped off the excess anti static powder with a microfiber cloth, trimmed up the sentiment and popped it {and the spotlight circle} up on the card using Scrapbook Adhesive Crafty Foam Tape.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the color combo of Pink, Teal, Ice Blue & Cookie Dough Brown. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!
