Happiest Day of the Year ~ An Ungloomy Day {March 2022 Sentiment Kit} ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Oh my goodness... I am so excited to share my card for today!!! Unity just released two new Eeyore stamps and a Winnie the Pooh... I couldn't wait to play with the sweet Eeyore in the An Ungloomy Day {March 2022 Sentiment Kit}! SOOO cute!

I chose the cute birthday sentiment from the kit so I thought it would be great to pair up Eeyore with the Balloon Party Background stamp. I chose a pretty pastel color combo for the balloons and used the following Copic Markers to color them up:

Pink ~ R0000, R20, RV21
Purple ~ V0000, V12, V06
Aqua ~ BG000, BG10, BG23

I set aside the background and colored up Eeyore with the following Copic Markers:

Eeyore ~ T0, B91, B95, B97
Inner Ear ~ R0000, R20, RV21
Butterfly ~ B10, B23, V12, V06

I die cut the balloons background with the large stitched rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} and mat with black card stock. I die cut a piece of white card stock with the scallops die and adhered the layers all together.

I fussy cut Eeyore leaving a skinny white border just around the hair, but I cut the rest on the black line. I cleaned up the black line edges with a Memento Tuxedo black marker by just coloring the edges with the marker. A great tip for making those edges look nice and clean! I trimmed the sentiment and mat it with black card stock. I adhered the sentiment to the card front and then I adhered the scallop layer to a white A2 top fold card base. I popped up Eeyore with foam tape and placed him on the card sitting just on top of the sentiment. I really love how this turned out!

Head on over to Unity to check out all the new releases!!
So many beautiful new stamps and a whole bunch of fantastic stamps on sale, too!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

A Cozy Card ~ Inner Peace Girl ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
The new Inner Peace Girl stamp kit from Unity Stamp Co. got me in a cozy kind of mood so I wanted to make my card cozy. I chose the tree papers from the Let Your Soul Wander {paper pack} and the tan plaid from the Cozy Textiles {paper pack} to create a cozy background for her.

Doesn't Inner Peace Girl look all kinds of cozy enjoying some coffee while just at peace. During this time while there is a war raging it's hard to find that inner peace, but I pray it's over soon. This stamp gives me hope that it will be over soon.

I colored up Inner Peace Girl with the following Copic Markers:

Skin ~ E00, E11, E04
Hair ~ E43, E44, E47
Sweater ~ BG0000, BG23, BG49
Socks ~ C00, C2
Nails / Jewelry ~ BG23, R12, R22
Mug ~ BG49, BG75, BG96
Pillows ~ C00, C2, C4, R01, R12, R22
Blanket ~ R01, R12, R22
Window ~ C00, C2, BG0000

The tree paper measures 4-1/8 x 5-3/8" and is mat with a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" piece of Kraft card stock. The tan plaid paper is die cut with the Big & Little Chain Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs. This is a larger rectangle die that I turned on it's side and mat with Kraft card stock. I fussy cut Inner Peace Girl leaving a tiny white border around the image and adhered her to the tan plaid layer. I wrapped some Ivory May Arts Burlap string around the card front tying a little bow and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base. I trimmed the sentiment and added a couple layers of scrap card stock under the word 'Find' so that the sentiment would lay flat on the card. And then I adhered the sentiment to the card with Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue.

Head on over to Unity to check out all the new releases and the sale!! So many beautiful new stamps added to the shop!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Gaming Birthday Card ~ Game On ~ Kindred Stamps

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a cute birthday card that I made for my son's birthday. He is a game loving addict and I thought the products from the new Game On Limited Edition box {sadly, this box is sold out now} from Kindred Stamps would be perfect for making a card for him. I was also super lucky that the box shipped the same day and I could get his card done quick!

I cut the pattern papers from the box and adhered them to a black card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I wanted to add a touch of yellow and the cute star die that's included in the box were a perfect little touch for the card.

I stamped the cute Mario-like character and colored him with the following Copic Markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ E70, E74
Mustache ~ N1, N3, N5
Gloves ~ C00, C2
Hat / Clothes ~ R20, R14, R27, B00, B02, B28, Y06
Shoes ~ E21, E23
Background ~ B000, YG11, YG17

I die cut the colored image with a circle die and adhered the sentiment to the back of the circle. I adhered the two pieces to the card front and then adhered the stars. I adhered the card front to a white A2 top fold card base to finish it off. It turned out so cute and he loved it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

~ Friends of Unity March 2022 Blog Hop ~

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's one of my favorite times of the month... time for the Friends of Unity Blog Hop!!
Before I share the cue or my cards, I want to say a big THANK YOU to one of our sweet friends who shared some of her duplicates for our Friends of Unity giveaways! You know who you are... I appreciate you! Now, onto our cue...

... a Kraft, Black & White color combo!! A fun neutral color combo!! I've been very excited for this one, but I was seriously stuck when it came time to create. I did a quick search on Pinterest which didn't actually have much but seeing a few random cards with mandalas inspired me for my first card.

My first card using the beautiful heart mandala and a sentiment from the January 2022 KOM called Found in the Heart.

Such a quick card with some simple stamping and a little acrylic paint splatter.

I added a few black enamel dots. A layer of white and black card stock to finish off the design. I wish I had stamped the sentiment a smidge higher - closer to the middle, but I still like how the card turned out.

My second card is a card that I made for my second oldest son who we just graduated from high school. We're so proud of him! The card is pretty simple with a black base layer and then I die cut a layer of Kraft card stock with the Falling Stars {background die}. I added some white acrylic paint splatter for a touch of white on the bottom layer.

I stamped the graduate from the You Did Good stamp kit with Gina K. Black Amalgam ink. I die cut the stamped image with the smallest stitched rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting die} and mat it on black card stock.

I used a white Prismacolor pencil to color around the image to give the image a bit of dimension and to add a bit more white to the card. I finished off the card by stamping the sentiment with Wow Clear Embossing ink and heat embossed some Alabaster white embossing powder. The sentiment is popped up with foam tape. I think it turned out nice. I hope my son likes it.

For my last card I've veered away from our cue to support #cardsforukraine. Sending prayers, love and support to the Ukrainian people.

I stamped the script stamp from the Spring Inspired {Layers of Life March 2014} kit and the stitching stamp from the Time to be Happy Again {Layers of Life January 2015} kit on the distress watercolor card stock with Wow Clear Embossing ink. I melted some Alabaster white embossing powder and then ink smooshed Mustard Seed and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks.

I splattered some water and a bit of Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink on the panel. I stamped the stitching stamp with the Mustard Seed ink and the Blueprint Sketch ink. And then I stamped the flourish from the Time to be Happy Again {LOL January 2015} kit three times on the panel with the Blueprint Sketch ink.

I stamped the sunflower and sentiments from the Sunflower Wishes {September 2021 Sentiment Kit} and then I colored up the sunflower with Y06, Y35, and YR27 Copic markers. I fussy cut the sunflower and popped it up on the card with foam tape. I trimmed around the sentiments leaving a skinny white border and adhered it to the card at an angle similar to the script stamp. And finished off the card with a few black enamel dots. My heart breaks for the Ukrainian people. My mother's father, my grandfather, was from the Ukraine and I remember meeting some of our extended family when I was just a kid. Unfortunately, we have not stayed in touch but I hope and pray that they are all safe and well.

Now before we get to the hopping, I chose a lucky winner from the comments on last month's hop to win a fun prize package and that lucky winner is...

... Linda Abel!! Congratulations, Linda!

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 20 ~ Let it Snow ~ Doodlebug Design Inc.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am back with another Christmas card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 20!! Since I just shared a card a few days ago, I thought I'd share a quick one with my recent obsession... Doodlebug Design's Let it Snow collection. I absolutely love this collection! I can't help but grab it when I need a quick Christmas card!

I cut my Let it Snow pattern paper layers and adhered them to Cool Caribbean card stock mats. Cool Caribbean is a retired SU color that I seriously love and hoarded several packs of card stock!! LOL... and it perfectly coordinates with these papers!

I chose the tallest snowman from the Let it Snow Odds & Ends die cut pack. I added a layer of card stock to the back of his head and upper body so he'd lay flat on the card. I did this by tracing around the die cut and then cutting inside the traced line. This keeps all my layers reasonable for mailing.

And then I popped up the sentiment with foam tape... giving the card a bit of dimension. The sentiment is from the Let it Snow Chit Chat die cut pack. Such a super quick card and it turned out pretty cute, too!

Here's a look at the fun {BYSHC} Sketch 20 for the month of March!
I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch! If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration for this sketch, check out the amazing inspiration from the design team over on the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! I'll be back next week with my weekly Christmas card using the {BYSHC} sketch!

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 20 ~ Winter Girl ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
February is always such a quick month and somehow I'm always surprised when it's over... I can't believe it's already March! A new month means that it's time for a new sketch challenge over at the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Today I'm sharing a pretty card using a beautiful Angie Girl stamp from Unity Stamp Co. called Winter Girl.

I think the Angie Girl stamps from Unity work perfectly for this month's sketch so I wouldn't be surprised if I make one or maybe two more for this month's sketch with Angie Girls.

The pretty pattern papers I used for my card are rightly called A Perfect Christmas paper pad from Echo Park Paper Co. and they are mat on Real Red card stock from Stampin' Up. I cut all of my paper layers just as the sketch calls for... my only deviation from the sketch is I moved the focal piece over a bit more to the right so I could fit the sentiment. The sentiment is actually from the Deck the Halls stamp kit.

I popped up Winter Girl on the card with lots of foam tape. I love the dimension it gives to the card by popping up the focal piece. Here's the list of Copic markers I used to color her up:

Skin ~ E00, E11, E04
Hair ~ E70, E74, E79
Hat / Mittens ~ C00, C2, G20, G24, G46, R20, R14, R27
Coat ~ R20, R14, R27
Boots ~ N1, N3, N5
Ground ~ C00, C2
Hearts ~ R20, R14, R27
Cup ~ R20, R14, R27, E21, E23

Here's a look at the fun {BYSHC} Sketch 20 for the month of March!
I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch! If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration for this sketch, check out the amazing inspiration from the design team over on the  {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! I'll be back on Friday with my regular weekly Christmas card using this month's sketch!

Membership Monday ~ Feb. 2022 Whit Kit Lovely Reminder ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with another CAS card using the beautiful February 2022 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co. called Lovely Reminder. This time I did a little masking and Distress Oxide ink blending... one of my favorite techniques for a quick CAS card!

I wanted a romantic color combo for my ink blending and I think I found it with Tattered Rose, Abandoned Coral and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide inks. I stamped the beautiful rose with Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink.

I also stamped with sentiment with the Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink.

I die cut the card front with the largest Postage Stamp {nesting die} from the kit and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base. I finished off the card with a few translucent enamel dots. You can check out my process video here... Lovely Reminder Card | Feb2022 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.

Be sure to check out the Whit Kit membership at Unity... today is the last day to sign up for the February 2022 Whit Kit!! If you already have the kit, I hope you share your creations in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group!
