Celebrate Your Special Day ~ Adhesive Transfers ~ Unity & Therm O Web

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm so excited to be joining Design Team members from Unity Stamp Co. and Therm O Web in an inspiration filled YouTube Hop featuring the newly released Deco Foil Adhesive Transfers!! These fabulous Adhesive Transfers make foiling SO easy and, of course, they're beautiful!

I used the wonderful {Let's Celebrate} Deco Foil Adhesive Transfer along with the gorgeous new Wildflowers Stand Tall background stamp from Unity. This gorgeous background stamp was a dream to color up... so fun! Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used to color up the background:

Yellow Flowers ~ Y13, Y06, Y35, E53, E55, E57, E59
Pink Flowers ~ RV10, RV21, RV14, Y06, Y35
Purple Flowers ~ V000, V12, V15
Blue Flowers ~ B00, B02, B16
Leaves / Green Background ~ YG11, YG05, YG03

I trimmed it to 4-7/8 x 3-5/8" and adhered it to a piece of white card stock that I had die cut with the largest scalloped die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Unity. I adhered it to a black card front measuring 5-1/2 x 4-1/4" and then to a white A2 top fold card base that I turned on the side.

These sentiments are so gorgeous in person!! I love how the Mystic Rainbow foil compliments the colors in the Copic colored background.

I'd love for you to check out my process video for this card and please also hop along and see all the wonderful inspiration shared using the fabulous Adhesive Transfers!! The Adhesive Transfers make foiling SO easy! Here's a link to my video or you can click below... Unity & Therm O Web YouTube Hop | Celebrate Your Special Day | Adhesive Transfers.

You Are Simply Amazing ~ New Adhesive Transfers ~ Unity & Therm O Web

 Hello there crafty friend!
Have you seen the amazing new release from Unity and ThermoWeb?! They've collaborated on some more new Adhesive Transfers and both design teams have shared a bunch of amazing inspiration on Instagram for a fun Instagram hop, along with the Brutus Monroe design team, too!! I'm in awe of all the amazing inspiration shared!

I ink smooshed a pretty background with Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide inks. Such pretty colors for Fall! I stamped the beautiful background with the new gorgeous Fall Stems stamp with Ranger Jet Black Archival ink.

No need for a laminator for these amazing Adhesive Tranfers!! I just used my Big Shot to apply the 'You Are Simply' and 'Amazing' sentiments from the {Simply Amazing} Deco Foil Adhesive Transfers pack to my ink smooshed and stamped background. And then I used the Gold Deco Foil Transfer Foils over the Adhesive Transfers and ran it through my Big Shot again. Super easy peasy and gorgeous!

*** Crafty Tip ~ be sure to completely dry your Distress Oxide inks either with a heat tool or let them sit overnight so the Adhesive Transfer will adhere to the oxides. ***

I trimmed my background and adhered it to a dry embossed layer of True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink that I had also trimmed and then adhered to a black card front measuring 5-1/2 x 4-1/4". The embossing folder is an old one in my stash so I don't have a name to share for it. I added some depth and shadows in and under the flowers with a few Prismacolor pencils to help the flowers pop. I think it turned out pretty nice.

A pretty birthday card for my second card! I'm loving this new floral stamp called Happiness & Wildflowers... it's so beautiful! I stamped it twice with Gina K Black Amalgam ink and then colored it up with the following Copic Markers:

Yellow Flowers ~ Y11, Y06, Y35
Pink Flowers ~ RV10, RV21, RV14
Leaves ~ YG01, YG11, YG23

Once I was happy with the coloring, I fussy cut each floral leaving a skinny white border around the image. I set those aside and started on my card front. I die cut a piece of white card stock with the largest die from the Eyelet Elegance Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs. I cut my sentiment from the {Blooming Friendship} Deco Foil Adhesive Transfers and applied it to the center of the die cut.

I placed the die cut in a Deco Foil Craft & Carrier sheet that I had cut in half. I placed a piece of card stock approximately 8-1/2 x 5-1/2" on top of my die cut for two reasons... first to protect the adhesive transfer from getting all scratchy and messed up since my plates are well used and secondly to add a bit of pressure when going through my Big Shot. I cut a piece of Pink Melon Deco Foil Transfer Foil and placed that on top with the pretty pink shine face up. I ran it through my Big Shot again and revealed the pretty foiled sentiment!! Love it! And so easy just with my die cutting machine! I adhered my die cut to a Melon Mambo card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I popped up the flowers with foam tape and added a few enamel dots from my stash. I adhered the card front to an A2 top fold card base of Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink. All done and so pretty!

I sure hope you'll head over to Unity and check out these amazing new Adhesive Transfers... they are so fun to play with and you can use them with a die cut machine or a laminator! Also be sure to check out all the amazing new stamps that were just released... I spy a new adorable Winnie the Pooh stamp! Oh, and there's a super cute gnome too! Eeeep!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Membership Monday ~ August 2022 KOM Hope is Stronger ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
A quick blog post today for Membership Monday... I've used one of the wonderful new stamps from the August 2022 Kit of the Month from Unity called Hope is Stronger.

I'm drawn to warm Fall colors! I couldn't help myself and used the same oxide combo as my Masked Ink Smooshed card from the other day with the addition of a green. I used Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Vintage Photo, and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks. I also did a bit of water splatter by spritzing water in my palm and clapping my hands over the panel.

I used the brown to transition from the green to the orange. Brown blends pretty well with both, but orange and green would not have been pretty blended together. I stamped the beautiful girl sitting on the bench with Ranger Jet Black Archival ink over the ink blended background.

I die cut the panel with a die from the Frayed Edge Stacklets set from Taylored Expressions. I then die cut a piece of True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink with the largest from the same die set. I adhered them together and wrapped them a few times with {Natural} May Arts Burlap string and tied a pretty bow. I popped the panel up on my card front of Kraft card stock, also from Papertrey Ink, with lots of foam tape. And then I adhered the card front to an A2 top fold card base of Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink.

Here's a look at the amazing August 2022 Kit of the Month called Hope is Stronger! Love it! You can check out the Kit of the Month membership over at Unity Stamp Co. I'll be back next Monday to share a card using the gorgeous new Background of the Month from Unity! Hope you have a wonderful week!

~ Friends of Unity August 2022 Blog Hop ~

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's one of my favorite times of the month... time for the Friends of Unity Blog Hop!! Our cue this month is super fun and really has so many options that I just can't wait to see all the creations shared by our friends today! But... before we get to the cue and my cards, I wanted to welcome a sweet new friend to our hop. Gaylynn Martling is joining us on the Friends of Unity team and I am beyond excited! I've been a huge fan of Gaylynn's creations for a long time! I hope you'll give Gaylynn a great big welcome! Now, let's get to the cue...

... Holidays!! See what I mean by lots of options!! It's no surprise that I have a Christmas card to share, but I was also able to whip up a fun Halloween card. Just two cards this time though... it's been a very busy few weeks around our house and my time has been limited. Anywho, let's get on with the cards...

My first card featuring the adorable new Cute Santa!! How stinkin' cute is he?! I mean it's in his name! I just love him and those skinny legs... LOL. He's so unique and fun.

I stamped Cute Santa with Gina K Designs Black Amalgam ink and Copic colored him with the following Copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, E04
Hair ~ C00, C2, C3
Clothes ~ R20, R14, R27, C00, C2, C3
Boots / Belt ~ N0, N1, N3, N5, N7, Y06, Y35
Holly ~ YG11, G24, G46
Santa Bag / Gift ~YG11, G24, G46

I also love love love the vertical 'Merry Christmas' sentiment! It was perfect for the sketch I used. If you're a member of the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group you may have already figured out which sketch I used. We had this one for our sketch challenge during the month of June. I thought the banners on the side would be perfect to incorporate the sentiment for this card. I did alter it a bit making a mini slimline card measuring 7 x 6-1/2"; scored at 3-1/2".

I paired up Cute Santa with the I Love Christmas 6 x 6" paper pad from Echo Park Paper Co. I die cut the candy cane striped paper with the Wonky Stitched Mini Slimline die from Gina Marie Designs. The enamel dots are from the Winterberry collection from My Mind's Eye.

Halloween is my second favorite holiday and honestly it's a very close second! I have so much fun making Halloween cards! I just had to use the adorable Witch Way stamp kit for this card. Love the super cute gnomes in this kit!

I had fun with the design for this one... no sketch but it may be turned into one! This adorable paper is no longer available - it was designed by my sweet friend, Teresa Russell, when she owned her crafty business named Scrapping for Less. She designs the most amazing papers! Anywho, I still have a bunch in my stash and I thought the cute candy papers worked well with the candy stamp included in the Witch Way stamps.

I also used a couple of dies from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Unity. The enamel dots were in my stash with no packaging so I'm really not sure where they came from. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up this image:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, E04
Hair ~ C00, C2, C3
Hat ~ YG01, YG11, YG23, YR21, YR15, YR68
Shoes ~ N0, N1, N3, N5
Cauldron ~ V000, V12, V15, V17, YR21, YR15, YR68
Broom ~ E53, E55, E57, E59
Candies ~ YR21, YR15, YR68, YG11, YG23, V12, V15, V17
Grounding ~ N0, N1, N3

Masked Ink Smooshing ~ Embrace the Change ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Since I got so many Christmas cards made last week for the Christmas in July {BYSHC} Linky Party, I decided to take a break from my weekly Christmas card posts and today I'm sharing a fun technique that I played with yesterday. I'm not sure if it's a new technique or an old one, but I don't think I've seen it. I've decided to call it Masked Ink Smooshing... if it's been around and has a name please let me know in the comments. Anywho, I had the lovely Embrace the Change stamp kit from Unity on my desk just waiting to be inked up and I thought this technique would be beautiful with these stamps.

And I have to admit I love all things Fall just about as much as I love Christmas, so playing with some Fall ink colors was just perfect for these stamps!

As you can see in the photo I used Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks for my cards. A favorite color combo for Fall cards!

There's a bit of texture in the Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor card stock - even on the back side which is what I used. So I stamped the leaves several times with Black Amalgam ink but you can still see some of the white in the texture.

I added a bit of {Black} May Arts Burlap string to cover up a little boo boo on my card. I think it adds a lovely touch to the card even though it's also a pretty fix.

This design could easily be changed up with different colors and different silhouette stamps. A lovely non-traditional Christmas combo of blue, purple and pink would be quite nice.

I trimmed this card front because some ink was on the outer right edge but I probably could have colored it over with a white gel pen. I added a few Sunflower Clear with Color enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs.

Such a fun technique to play with and it makes two cards pretty easily! I would love for you to check out my process video for these cards and please leave me a comment letting me know what you think of this technique... Masked Ink Smooshing | Embrace the Change | Unity Stamp Co.

Sadly, the big Warehouse Sale at Unity ended yesterday but I hope you'll check out this beautiful new stamp kit called Embrace the Change. {It looks like the sale hasn't been taken down just yet!! If you forgot to place your order, go do it now!} Sometimes, Unity keeps the new releases at their sale price for a few extra days after the sale. Maybe you can still snatch it up!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Two More Lemon-licious Cards ~ July 2022 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm sharing two more cards using the beautiful July 2022 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co. I've used two fun sketches that I've shared in my Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group for my cards today. I can't get enough of this gorgeous card kit!

My first card... isn't that pink paper with big lemon slices just beautiful! I paired it up with the green paper with lemon slices for a bit of contrast and also to add that green color into the palette for the card.
Here's a list of the Copic markers I used for this card:

Branch ~ E21, E25, E29
Leaves ~ G000, G00, G02
Lemons ~ Y06, Y15, Colorless Blender

I added a strip of the beautiful Sherbert Lemon glitter paper for a bit of sparkle. As far as the sketch, I've flipped it - so it's the mirror image - and it calls for a rectangle focal piece but I thought it would be fun to add some pretty vellum that I die cut with an oval die from the Pleated Oval die set from Gina Marie Designs. And then I added the die cut lemon branch over that.

Here's a look at the sketch that I used. I really like this one... especially for pretty pattern papers and being able to change up the focal piece gives endless possibilities!

I added a few of the dew drops from the Whit Kit and adhered the sentiment just over the lemon branch. I really love how this one turned out. I hope you like it too!

For my second card I used the sketch I've shared for this month in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group which is great for using a combination of different pattern papers. And it's great for scraps too which since I had made two cards already I was starting to get so this was the perfect sketch for a third card with the card kit.

I featured the beautiful lemon branch for the first two cards I shared using the card kit so I thought I'd ink up the other stamps in the Squeeze the Day stamp kit and use them for this card. I added a touch of  sparkle for this card too by die cutting the pretty Sherbert Lemon glitter paper with a small circle die from the X Stitched Circle dies from Gina Marie Designs.

Here's a look at the current sketch for August. This sketch is great for pattern papers but I think it would also be great for fun inky backgrounds... like a ink smooshed background, or maybe a ink blended background. A beautiful alcohol ink background would be awesome too! The possibilities are endless really!

I added a few dew drops to this card too and popped up the focal piece and sentiment with foam tape. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used for this card:

Lemon ~ Y11, Y06, Y15
Lime Slice & Wedge ~ G000, G00, G02

If you're interested, you can check out my process video for my second card here... Another Lemon-licious Card | July 2022 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.

Here's a look at the beautiful kit!
Unfortunately since I'm running behind the kit is no longer available BUT you can still get the beautiful Squeeze the Day stamp kit and the Squeeze the Day paper pack. If there are any leftovers from the kit - the pretty glitter card, dies and even the dew drops may become available at a later date. Squeeze the Day Lemon Card | July 2022 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm a bit behind on projects... so I'm just now sharing some cards using the gorgeous July 2022 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co! I adore this citrus filled kit! Such beautiful colors in the pattern paper and the detailed stamps are amazing! So easy to color up! I'm sharing one card today and hopefully a couple more over the next couple of days.

My first card using the beautiful kit! In person the yellow on the lemons isn't quite so bright but I think it turned out pretty nice. The yellow glitter paper is absolutely stunning in person... so luscious! I cut my yellow glitter paper to 3-7/8 x 5-1/8". The pink striped paper with lemons is 2 x 4-7/8". The lemon slices paper is 1-9/16" x 2-15/16" and the green paper is 1-9/16 x 1-13/16.

Here's the list of Copic markers I used for the lemon branch:

Branch ~ E21, E25, E29, G00, G02
Leaves ~ G000, G00, G02
Lemons ~ Y06, Y15, Colorless Blender

It's been awhile since I've shared a video and I have one for this card! I hope you'll check it out! If you like what you see please consider subscribing to my YouTube channel. Here's the video link... Squeeze the Day | July 2022 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.
