More Quick Holiday Cards ~ Frosted Lace ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing four super quick holiday cards that I made using the gorgeous new Frosted Lace stamps from Unity. Loving this big, beautiful snowflake!! So pretty!

So I filled a whole sheet of card stock with blue snowflakes. I just couldn't stop! I figured why not make four cards!

Once I had them all stamped, I die cut the sheet using the second largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} to die cut each of my panels for the cards.

I also die cut mats from white card stock using the largest die from the same die set. I adhered each of my panels together and then adhered them to white A2 top fold card bases.

I stamped the sentiments using the same blue ink and die cut them using dies from the Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies.

I popped up the sentiments on the four cards and BAM! Four cards for my holiday stash! Woohoo!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Inky hugs,
Crystal

Oh Hey, Hi, Hello ~ A Round of Hellos ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I love playing with circles!! The new A Round of Hellos from Unity is my new favorite kit of stamps!

This card so so super fast to make. I stamped each of the larger patterned circles and the sentiment on my card front in black ink.

And then I stamped the solid circles with Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet and Festive Berries Distress Ink.

I die cut the card front using the largest die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting dies. I adhered the panel to a black A2 top fold card base. And then I finished it off with a few black enamel dots from my stash. Love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal

Membership Wednesday ~ January 2024 Uniquely Unity You Can Do This ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a quick CAS card using the pretty stamps from the fantastic January 2024 Uniquely Unity membership from Unity called You Can Do This.

This is a pretty card design that is easy to make. I actually CASED one of my older cards only it was on white card stock. You can check that out here... Beautiful Things Change.

I wanted to see what this design would look like on kraft card stock. I do love my kraft!! I used Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink along with Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks.

I heat embossed a few leaves and the sentiment using Wow Clear Embossing ink with Penny Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe. I prepped my card stock with TE Anti Static Powder and melted the embossing powder with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool.

I mat the sentiment with a copper foil paper from Stampin' Up. In person it coordinates a whole lot better than it looks in the photo. I like how this one turned out but I think I like how this design pops on white card stock. What do you think?

Here's a quick look at the Uniquely Unity membership this month! So pretty! Well, that's it for me today! Next week I'll be sharing my Membership Wednesday card on my Instagram. If you don't want to miss it, follow me on my Instagram. Otherwise, I'll see you back here in two weeks for inspiration for the amazing February memberships! Have an ink-tastic day!

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 36 ~ Christmas Magic ~ Echo Park Paper Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm sharing one last Christmas card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 36 for the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. This month's sketch is really great for the paper packs that have cut-aparts in them. I made four pretty quick cards using the Echo Park Paper 6x6 Paper Pad called Christmas Magic.

I cut down two pattern papers to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" - for my first two cards that's the plaid and the green pattern papers. I cut them both again at the two inch mark and adhered them to two white A2 top fold card bases.

I then cut a couple little strips of pattern paper to adhere across the card base and trimmed off the excess. I adhered the cut apart directly on the card for the first card with the gifts. For the reindeer card I added foam tape to the back of this cut apart and popped it up on the card.

Just like the first two cards, I used two pattern papers for my last two cards. I cut them down to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" and then cut off 2" from both. I then adhered them to card bases.

And this time I adhered Santa directly to the card and the house cut-apart was popped up using a bunch of foam tape.

Four really quick cards!! I'll definitely be using this sketch again with the cut-aparts in my paper packs. Loving it!

Here's a look at {BYSHC} Sketch 36 for the month of August!
There's still a few days to play along with the sketch! The challenge ends on August 31st. I hope you'll join in the fun and start building your stash of holiday cards. Membership Wednesday ~ March 2023 Uniquely Unity ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a quick card using the lovely stamp from the wonderful March 2023 Uniquely Unity membership stamp from Unity. This lovely stamp set includes a sweet giraffe and a fun sentiment. Giraffes are my absolute favorite animal {after the owl, of course!}. Whenever my family visits a zoo we always visit the giraffe exhibits. I just love them... so majestic and beautiful.

I stamped the giraffe and sentiment with Black Amalgam ink on white card stock. And then I colored up the sweet giraffe with the following Copic markers:

Giraffe ~ YR000, YR21, YR15, YR24, YR27, E25
Daisy ~ V12, V15, V17, YR21, YR15, YR24
Outline ~ W00, W1

Once I was happy with my coloring, I die cut my card front using a die from the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges dies from My Favorite Things.

The outline around the giraffe helps to give him a bit of dimension but the black card front in the back also helps to make the black ink of the stamped images pop on the card. Such a simple and quick card but I just love how it turned out.

Here's a look at the beautiful Uniquely Unity stamps for March!! I adore him so much! This membership is available for only $16.99. That includes shipping! You also get a wonderful inspiration sheet with pictures and step-by-step instructions so you can easily recreate the cards yourself. That's it for me today! I'll be back next week with inspiration for the March 2023 Whit Kit!! Ohhh... have you seen this month's card kit! I can't wait to play!

Unity Stamp Company ~ Frankly Said ~ Watercolor Wash Birthday

Hello there! I'm dropping in with a super quick card... seriously, this is really quick! The most time-consuming part of this card was the dry time for the watercolor washed background.

I could have dried the background with my heat tool, but I decided to let it sit overnight so that I didn't re-heat the embossed sentiment from Unity's Frankly Said sentiment kit. So, to start I heat embossed the black sentiment onto the watercolor paper. Using painters tape, I taped down the watercolor panel to my board and wet the paper with a clean watercolor pen. I got the paper very wet... and funny note here... that's when the pizza delivery guy arrived with our dinner. LOL! So... after all that fun, I came back to my watercolor paper that was still a little wet and brushed more water on it. I scribbled my orange ZIG over my acrylic block and picked up the ink with my watercolor pen. I then brushed over the background. I went over it a couple of times to intensify the orange on the top, but I didn't want it too dark and I wanted to go with an ombre look... and the pizza was getting cold! LOL

The next day, I came back to my watercolored panel and I love how the background turned out. I die cut it with the Big and Little Chain Rectangle die by Gina Marie Designs. I die cut a piece of black card stock with the largest die in the set and then I adhered the black layer to a kraft card base. I popped up the watercolor panel using foam tape and that was it! I love the sassy sentiment on this card and I know the recipient will get a kick out of it!

Thank you friends for checking out my blog post!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs!
