Fun with Circles Holiday Card ~ Just for You Dear ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing one more holiday card for Unity's August release. This time I inked up the super cute and adorable Just for You Dear. This adorable stamp is also available in photopolymer... {Clearly Unity} Just for You Dear. I love that Unity offers some of their stamps in clear and rubber now!

I had a fun idea for layering circles in a card design and wanted to give it a try! I thought the deer from Just for You Dear would work perfectly with this design. I stamped the sweet deer and sentiment with Black Amalgam ink and colored up the deer with my Copic markers.

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used:
Deer: E51, E21, E23, E25, E29
Ears: R00, R20
Scarf: R20, R14, G24, G46

You can check out my Copic coloring video here... Copic Color with Me | Just for You Dear | Unity Stamp Co.

I die cut the sweet deer, a green mat from Garden Green card stock from Stampin' Up, and a bunch of circles from the wonderful Watercolor Winter {paper pack} using the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. I die cut the sentiment using a die from the Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies. I trimmed a mat from the same Garden Green card stock.

You can check out my process video for this card here... Fun with Circles Holiday Card | Just for You Dear | Unity Stamp Co.

The green striped pattern paper in the background measures 4 x 5-1/4". It's adhered to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" card front of Garden Green card stock and then I adhered the panel to a white A2 top fold card base. The adorable deer circles and the sentiment are popped up using foam tape. Such a fun card to make!
I hope you have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal

Winter Wonderland with Distress Crayons ~ A Wintry Hello ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with another holiday card for Unity's latest release. This time my card features two awesome new stamps from the August release. First is the beautiful A Wintry Hello which includes the gorgeous deer, a tree scene, some snowflakes, and four awesome sentiments. Love, love, love this amazing set of stamps! And I paired it with the absolutely beautiful Pines of Endearment that includes four lovely pine trees, a snowflake, a star, and three sentiments. This beautiful set of stamps is also available in photopolymer... {Clearly Unity} Pines of Endearment. I love that Unity offers some of their stamps in clear and rubber now!

I played a bit with my distress crayons again!! I colored a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" piece of white card stock with 3 distress crayons. I used Evergreen Bough, Twisted Citron, and Peacock Feathers. I used a baby wipe to blend the colors on my background. And then I ran it through my Big Shot with the Simple Snowflakes Embossing Folder from Tim Holtz. I lightly rubbed the raised snowflakes with a Sugar Cube White Pigment ink pad. I love the fun mix of colors and how the white pigment ink made the snowflakes on the background pop!

I stamped the beautiful deer and the tree scene from the A Wintry Hello using Black Amalgam ink. I also decided I wanted a couple more trees so I stamped a couple of pines from the Pines of Endearment. I colored them up with my Copic markers and then fussy cut them leaving a white border. I also stamped the sentiment and trimmed it up.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Deer: E51, E55, E57
Trees: E55
Pine Trees: YG67, YG99

I die cut a hill using the Stitched Hillside Borders die from Lawn Fawn. I also die cut a scalloped frame using the Frames - Scalloped Stitched Rectangles die from Gina Marie Designs. I adhered all the elements of my scene onto the distress crayon background. I splattered some white acrylic paint over the scene. And then I adhered the frame over top. I had to trim off a bit of the distress crayon background. And then I adhered the framed panel to a white A2 top fold card based turned on its side. This was such a fun card to make!
I hope you have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 40 ~ Joy of Baby Jesus ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm sharing one last Christmas card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 40 for the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. This month's sketch is really great for those larger stamped images so I was excited to play with the Joy of Baby Jesus stamp from Unity.

This beautiful stamp was one of many released during the Brown Thursday/Black Friday sales over at Unity and I just love it! So pretty and perfect for holiday cards.

I paired it up with the beautiful Star of Bethlehem paper pad from Hobby Lobby that I got a couple of months ago. I just love the blues and black in these pretty papers and thought they complimented the sweet stamped image so nicely.

I did alter the sketch for my design just a bit by using the second largest stitched rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} to die cut the panel. So it's larger than the sketch calls for and I omitted the mat. I also moved my sentiment and just added another strip of pattern paper to lay across the image in place of the sentiment strip. Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: N1
Clothes: E50, E51, B91, B93, B95, B97, E21, E23, E25
Outline: B0000
Ground: E23

Here's a look at {BYSHC} Sketch 40 for the month of December!
There's still a few days to play along with the sketch! The challenge ends on December 31st. I hope you'll join in the fun and start building your stash of holiday cards for 2024. If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration for this sketch, check out the amazing inspiration from the design team over on the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog!

Advent Calendar Day 22 ~ {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 40 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's Day 22 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I'm revealing the Advent Calendar stamp on my YouTube channel each day and also have a short blog post. I made a fun background using today's stamp with some ink smooshing and blending.

A fun snowflake stamp is the next Advent Calendar stamp! I stamped the snowflake several times with Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions over the Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink and added Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. Melted the embossing powder with a Wagner Precision heat tool. Then I did some ink smooshing and a bit of ink blending using TE Blender Brushes from Taylored Expressions with Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks.

Inspiration for today's card comes from the current {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 40. I omitted the background paper on the right side and left some white space instead. If you need another Christmas card or maybe you want to get ahead for next year, give the {BYSHC} Sketch 40 a try and enter your card in the challenge. The challenge ends December 31st. I hope you'll join in the fun! If you'd like to see some more inspiration for the sketch check out the {BYSHC} blog.

The sentiment for today's card is from a cut apart sentiment strip that was a freebie during Brown Thursday or Black Friday... not sure. I trimmed it up and adhered it directly to the card. No foam tape this time.

This one didn't turn out how I thought it would but I like it. What do you think? If you watch the video I'd love to know if you would have kept the other ink smooshed piece for the right side or if you would have gone with the white card base like I did.

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day 22 stamp and my process in making this card here... Advent Calendar Day 22 | Unity Stamp Co.

Looks like the Advent Calendars are out of stock... but there's some new goodies that were just released for the final release of 2023. I haven't had time to play with any of them yet, but soon I hope! I'll be back tomorrow for Day 23 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity! Have an ink-tastic day!

See ya next time.

Advent Calendar Day 20 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's Day 20 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I'm revealing the Advent Calendar stamp on my YouTube channel each day and also have a short blog post. I can't believe it's the 20th already... wasn't it just the first week of December yesterday? So crazy! Anywho, today's stamp is just too cute!

An adorable snowman stamp is the next Advent Calendar stamp! I stamped the sweet snowman using Black Amalgam ink on a die cut I had cut using the smallest circle die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. I colored up the sweet snowman using the following Copic markers: C00, C1, C3, BG70, BG72, BG75.

Inspiration for today's card comes from the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 31. I think the only change I made for this one was using the smaller circle die but all the measurements for the paper layers are what's in the sketch.

I paired today's Advent Calendar stamp with the pretty Brilliant Blizzard {paper pack} and the Getting Cozy {paper pack}... another duo paper pair up!!

I stamped the joy sentiment from the Winter Cheer and Deer stamps using the Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink. I fussy cut it and adhered it to the circle and then popped them both up using foam tape. {Please forgive the photos... not sure why the white looks so dingy.}

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day 20 stamp and my process in making this card here... Advent Calendar Day 20 | Unity Stamp Co.

I think there may be some Advent Calendars still available if you didn't order one yet. I'll be back tomorrow for Day 21 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity! Have an ink-tastic day!

Advent Calendar Day 18 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for Day 18 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity!! And it just so happens to be my birthday! I'm revealing the Advent Calendar stamp on my YouTube channel each day and also have a short blog post. I am just tickled pink about today's stamp!!

A sweet owl stamp is the next Advent Calendar stamp! It's so perfect for my birthday! I love owls! Yay! I stamped the cute owl with Vintage Photo Distress Ink on a circle die cut I cut from white card stock using a die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. I also die cut a mat circle from Garden Green card stock from Stampin' Up using the next largest circle die from the dies.

Inspiration for today's card comes from the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 38. Now, you may be thinking I'm nuts... but this sketch really inspired my card. I omitted the four panels and turned the sketch. I wasn't able to fit the sentiment across with the circle so I placed it under the circle. I just couldn't cover up these gorgeous papers with the four panels.

I paired today's Advent Calendar stamp with the gorgeous Festive Christmas {paper pack}. You're probably tired of hearing it but these are seriously another favorite holiday paper pack! Just stunning!

I heat embossed the sentiment using the TE Anti Static Powder tool and Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions. {I just realized I didn't wipe off the anti static powder so it looks a little dull - ooops!} I also used Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe. And melted the ep using a Wagner Precision Heat Tool.

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day 18 stamp and my process in making this card here... Advent Calendar Day 18 | Unity Stamp Co.

Pretty sure there's still some Advent Calendars available if you didn't order one yet. I can't help but enable, my friends! I'll be back tomorrow for Day 19 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity! Have an ink-tastic day!

Inky Paws Challenge #213 ~ Sketch Challenge Reminder

 Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #213 - Sketch Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, December 22nd to get your entries in for this fun challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

I am seriously loving this sketch! Have you given it a try?

When I was putting away my goodies from my card last week, I remembered that I have the Meowy Christmas 6x6 Paper Pad in my stash so I thought I'd play with these papers this time. I die cut the cute paw print papers using the largest scalloped die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. I used a scrap of the blue striped papers that I adhered to a piece of kraft card stock to help create a scene card.

I stamped the adorable pup and kitties and the sentiment from the Fireside Friends Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored them up with my Copic markers and fussy cut them with my scissors on the black line. I used a Memento Tuxdeo Black marker to color the edges which makes the fussy cutting look really nice.

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used:
Orange Kitty: YR0000, YR21, YR15, R00, R20
Grey Kitty: N0, N1, N3, N5, R00, R20
Pup: E51, E55, E57, E59
Rug: R20, R14, R46
Garland: YG11, G24, G46
Bow: R20, R14, R46
Fireplace: C00, C1, C3
Wood: E55, E57, E59
Fire: Y06, YR21, YR15, YR68

I die cut the sentiment using the smallest oval die from the Oval Frames Die Set. I adhered it to the bottom edge of the cozy trio and added foam tape to the back of both pieces and popped them up on the card.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Advent Calendar Day 17 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's Day 17 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I'm revealing the Advent Calendar stamp on my YouTube channel each day and also have a short blog post. I am loving today's stamp!

A beautiful Christmas seal stamp is the next Advent Calendar stamp! I stamped the seal using Speckled Egg and Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide inks onto a die cut circle I die cut from white card stock using the smallest die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}.

Inspiration for today's card comes from the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 36. My strips of paper are a bit wider than it calls for in the sketch so I pulled them down a bit more when I adhered them to the bottom layer.

I paired today's Advent Calendar stamp with the gorgeous Old Fashioned Holiday {paper pack}. I love these beautiful papers from last month's Whit Kit!! Good news... they are available separately now!!

I do like how the inks mixed on the stamped seal but I'm wondering now if I should have stamped it in red. What do you think? To finish off the card, I added a few glittery white enamel dots from the Holiday Glitter Enamel Dots from Gina Marie Designs.

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day 17 stamp and my process in making this card here... Advent Calendar Day 17 | Unity Stamp Co.

Looks like there's still some Advent Calendars available if you didn't order one yet. I'll be back tomorrow for Day 18 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity! Have an ink-tastic day!

Advent Calendar Day 16 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for Day 16 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I'm revealing the Advent Calendar stamp on my YouTube channel each day and also have a short blog post. Today's stamp is my absolute favorite!! Just saying!

An adorable snowman stamp is the next Advent Calendar stamp! I stamped the snowman on a circle die cut from white card stock using the smallest die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. I also die cut a slightly larger circle from Real Red card stock from Stampin' Up using the next largest die from the same die set. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers:

Snow: B0000, B000
Nose: YR21, YR15, YR68
Stick Arms: E55, E57
Buttons: N1, N3, N5
Scarf: R20, R14, R46

Inspiration for today's card comes from the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 26. I think the only change I made to this sketch was the size of the circle die cut. Not sure just how wide it is.

I paired today's Advent Calendar stamp with my favorite papers... the Watercolor Winter {paper pack}. Such beautiful papers and all the white really works with the white snowman.

I heat embossed the sentiment  from the Winter Cheer and Deer stamps using the TE Anti Static Powder tool and Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions. I also used Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe. And melted the ep using a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. All on a scrap of Real Red card stock from Stampin' Up.

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day16 stamp and my process in making this card here... Advent Calendar Day 16 | Unity Stamp Co.

Have you caved yet and bought the Advent Calendar? There's still some available. I'll be back tomorrow for Day 17 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity! Have an ink-tastic day!

Advent Calendar Day 15 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for Day 15 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I'm revealing the Advent Calendar stamp on my YouTube channel each day and also have a short blog post. I hope you're enjoying your new stamps so far. Today's stamp is so beautiful!

A beautiful gift stamp is the next Advent Calendar stamp! I stamped the gift using Black Amalgam ink onto a white circle die cut using the smallest die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. But then I also stamped the gift using Festive Berries Distress Ink on a scrap of white card stock and I colored it up with a handful of Copic markers: R81, R83, R85, G24, G46.

Inspiration for today's card comes from the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 35. I followed the sketch measurements for this one. I kinda wish I had added a mat to separate the pattern papers. I think it would have added a bit of contrast between the patterns in the papers.

I paired today's Advent Calendar stamp with the gorgeous Farmhouse Christmas {paper pack}. I love these papers! So beautiful!

I stamped the Advent Calendar Day 2 sentiment stamp using Festive Berries Distress Ink. I fussy cut it and then adhered it to the card. To finish off the card, I added a two black mirror foil enamel dots from the 9 Color Rainbow Mirror Foil Enamel Dots from Gina Marie Designs.

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day 15 stamp and my process in making this card here... Advent Calendar Day 15 | Unity Stamp Co.

Advent Calendars are still available if you didn't order one yet. I'll be back tomorrow for Day 16 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity! Just 9 stamp left! Have an ink-tastic day!

Advent Calendar Day 14 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's Day 14 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I'm revealing the Advent Calendar stamp on my YouTube channel each day and also have a short blog post. Do you have a favorite stamp yet from the 14 so far? I think the cute Santa, reindeer and dino are all my favorites!

But today's stamp is a close second! I love holly! Such a pretty stamp!

Inspiration for today's card comes from the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 34. I added a Gold Foil paper mat from Stampin' Up measuring 3-1/4 x 4-1/2" to the 3 x 4-1/4" focal piece.

No pattern papers for this card. I used Mossy Meadow card stock from Stampin' Up. I created my own pretty paper by stamping the holly a few times with Wow Clear Embossing ink and I added Ultra Fine Antique Gold Embossing Powder from Simon Says Stamp. I then melted the powder with my Wagner Precision Heat Tool. I did use the TE Anti Static Powder tool but still had some fly-away ep because I pressed too hard when I stamped the single holly and the powder stuck to the impressions left. So there's a few glittery spots of gold on the card stock, but it's ok. It's handmade!

I also heat embossed the sentiment using the Day 2 stamp from the Advent Calendar. This card gave me a bit of trouble {check out my video below to see the madness!}, but I do love how it turned out.

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day 14 stamp and my process in making this card here... Advent Calendar Day 14 | Unity Stamp Co.

Pretty sure there's still some Advent Calendars available if you didn't order one yet. Always happy to enable, crafty friends! LOL! I'll be back tomorrow for Day 15 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity! Have an ink-tastic day!

Advent Calendar Day 13 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's Day 13 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I'm revealing the Advent Calendar stamp on my YouTube channel each day and also have a short blog post. We're passed the halfway mark with the Advent Calendar... are you enjoying the stamps so far? I am loving them!

A super cute Santa hat stamp is the next Advent Calendar stamp! I stamped the hat with Black Amalgam ink and colored it up with my Copic markers for a fun pop of red on a neutral background of paper layers. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color the hat: C00, C1, C3, R20, R14, R46.

Inspiration for today's card comes from the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 33. I used the dimensions for the card front layer {4-1/4 x 5-1/2"} and the strip across the card {4-1/4 x 1"}. For the focal piece I used the two smallest dies from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies} and for the middle layer I used the two smallest dies from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}

I paired today's Advent Calendar stamp with the comfy Getting Cozy {paper pack}. Love all the textures in this paper pack!

I fussy cut the Santa hat and made the edges all nice and neat by coloring the edges with a Memento Tuxedo black marker. I added some foam tape to the back of the hat and popped it up on the card. The Advent Calendar Day 2 sentiment was stamped with Pumice Stone Distress Oxide ink. I fussy cut it and adhered it to the card. Easy peasy.

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day 13 stamp and my process in making this card here... Advent Calendar Day 13 | Unity Stamp Co.

Advent Calendars are still available if you didn't order one yet. Maybe Santa will bring you one for Christmas! I'll be back tomorrow for Day 13 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity! Have an ink-tastic day!

Salad Spinner Art ~ Technique Tuesday ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with another Technique Tuesday! Can you believe it's December already? Sadly, that means it's my final blog post of 2023. I hope that you've been inspired to get inky and maybe even played along with some of the techniques that I've shared. If you missed some and want to check them out, you can do that here.

I do love getting inky and the technique I'm sharing today is another fun inky technique called Salad Spinner Art. This technique is wonderful for making awesome backgrounds! Lots of fun for mixing up colors. And can be used with a whole bunch of mediums.

I made a couple fun holiday cards using two of the four backgrounds that I created using the Salad Spinner Art technique.

For the first background I used Sepia, Tangerine, and Alizarin Crimson Color Burst. I thought it was a fun mix of colors for a holiday card and I added a couple touches of gold by heat embossing the sentiment from Cute Santa using Gold Glory Embossing powder from Stampin' Up and adding some Gold Foil paper also from Stampin' Up.

I stamped Cute Santa with Black Amalgam ink and colored him with the following Copic markers:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E04
White: C00, C1, C3
Red: R20, R14, R46
Black: N1, N3, N5, N7
Holly & Berries: YG11, G24, G46, R59

I then fussy cut Cute Santa and cleaned up the edges by coloring them with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. The Spinner Art panel is adhered to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" card front of True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink that was adhered to a white A2 top fold card base. All the layers are nice and flat for easy mailing.

Card number two uses the last panel that I created with the Cosmic Shimmer pigments I got back in June at the Unity Lovers get together in Deepwater, MO at The Craft Lab. I've been anxious to play with them and boy, were they fun!

Continuing the copper color in the background which is very light, I decided to heat emboss the Blanket of Snow Background stamp. I used the Wow Clear Embossing ink and Penny Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe. And for a bit more copper... I heat embossed the season's greetings sentiment {minus the dot for the i... I lost it}.

I die cut the season's greetings from the Greetings of the Season {die set} from a scrap piece of white card stock. Pressed the sentiment into the clear embossing ink using my tweezers doing one side of the sentiment at a time so I had a place to hold the sentiment with my tweezers. Quick tip... be sure to let the melted embossing powder cool before touching! Not only does it hurt a smidge, but it can smudge up the pretty embossing. I speak from experience! LOL

I wasn't able to record my card making but you can check out my process in creating the backgrounds I used for my cards plus two more backgrounds that I didn't get to play with just yet. Check it out here... Salad Spinner Art | Technique Tuesday | Unity Stamp Co.

Two very different holiday cards using one fun technique! I've had a blast the last 12 months sharing some fun techniques with you all. I hope you've enjoyed them! If you give this fun technique a try, I'd love to see what you create so please share your cards in the Unity Show & Tell group and tag me. Have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal
