Spring into Christmas 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Nutty or Nice? ~ Lawn Fawn

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back again today to share my holiday card for day 4 of the Spring into Christmas 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party. I just adore the little scene card I created to share! The adorable squirrels and snowman come from the Nutty or Nice? Stamp Set that was a collaboration set from our wonderful sponsor Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp for the 2018 STAMPtember celebration.

I paired them up with the beautiful A Shabby Christmas 6x6 paper pad from our awesome sponsor Not 2 Shabby. I die cut the red glittery paper using the largest die from the Large Cross-Stitched Rectangle Stackables die from Lawn Fawn. I also die cut a little snowy hill for my inner layer using a die from the Stitched Hillside Borders dies from Lawn Fawn, as well.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up these cuties:

Snowman: C00, C1, C3
Hat: N0, N1, N3, N5, R00, R20
Scarf: R00, R20
Squirrels: E21, E23, E25
Squirrel Hat: R20, R14
Squirrel Scarf: YG11, G24
Carrot Nose: YR21, YR15

I stamped the sentiment and fussy cut two fishtails for both end, mat it with a scrap of the glitter paper, and adhered it to the card. All of my layers are adhered using iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from our wonderful Sponsor Therm O Web. I did add a couple scraps of card stock underneath the snowman's head so that it would lay flat on the card.

Inspiration for my card came from this month's {BYSHC} Sketch #44. I love the simplicity of this sketch but really the possibilities are endless!

I can't believe that we're halfway through the linky party already! Stop by the Spring into Christmas 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 43 ~ Christmas Confetti ~ Twiddler's Nook

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new sketch challenge over in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Today I'm sharing a sweet Christmas card featuring the cutest little snowflake clay bits I think I've ever seen! I used the Christmas Confetti Clay Embellishment Mix from this month's fabulous sponsor, Twiddler's Nook! Our monthly sketch challenges are now Sponsored by some of our favorite crafty companies!  Amanda from Twiddler's Nook has generously offered up a fun prize for {BYSHC} Sketch 43... Winner's Choice - either a $20 gift card to Twiddler's Nook OR a Christmas themed prize package curated by Amanda!! So amazing!! Thanks so much, Amanda!

Twiddler's Nook has an amazing assortment of clay embellishment mixes!! I have a whole bunch in my collection. Some people use them for shaker cards, but I really like to use some of the bits on my cards. I used just a handful of the white snowflakes in the Christmas Confetti Clay Embellishment mix for this card. There's also peppermints and a Christmas mix of sprinkles in this cute mix!

I paired up the cute snowflake clay bits with the adorable Snow Much Fun 6x6 Paper Pad from Doodlebug Designs. I love using paper pads when I'm working with so many layers! The papers are already made to coordinate. I just need to decide which papers I want where! For this card I used the snowflakes for my bottom layer because it has all the colors in it. I broke it up with the purple polka dot papers across the card and then I also used the blue (or is that periwinkle?) and mint papers for my other layers. I mat each of my paper layers with Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink.

I die cut the circles using the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from Unity. The adorable Snow Cute Doodle-Pop was just the perfect touch for this card! I also added the two snowflakes that came with the Doodle-Pop. Can't go wrong adding cute snowflakes! The sentiment is from the Snow Much Fun Chit Chat package. I just love how this card turned out and it was so easy just following along with the measurements from the sketch.

Here's a look at {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 43 for the month of March. Loving all the layers in this fun sketch! I can't wait to see what everyone does with it. I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch! {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 41 ~ A Gift Just for You ~ Angie Blom Digital Designs

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new sketch challenge over in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Today I'm sharing a sweet Christmas card featuring the adorable snowman from the A Gift Just For You Digital Stamp Set from Angie Blom Digital Designs! We're changing things up for 2024 and Angie Blom Digital Designs is Sponsoring our {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 41!! Angie has generously offered up two $15 e-gift certificates in Canadian currency for our Sketch 41 prizes! Woohoo! Thanks so much, Angie!

I started my card by combining and resizing the digital stamps in the A Gift Just For You digi set in a Word Document. I printed them off onto white card stock. Now, I did actually pick out my pattern papers before coloring my image... yay for remembering! But I didn't realize how bright the white focal piece would be with these papers. I think if I redid this one I'd use a Very Vanilla card stock from Stampin' Up or Vintage Cream card stock from Papertrey Ink to print of my digital stamps.

All of my paper layers are from the Authentique Snowfall Collection 6x6 paper pad. The red text pattern paper measures 5 x 3-3/4". The blue tree and snowman paper measures 3-1/8 x 1-1/4". The purple snowflakes paper measures 3-1/8 x 2-1/8". And the snowman paper measures 1-1/2 x 3-1/2". All my measurements are from the {BYSHC} Sketch 41... except the red text pattern paper. I went with a smaller piece than the sketch calls for.

Next I die cut the snowman using a die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. And then I colored it up with the following Copic markers:

Snowman: C00, C1, C3, YR21, YR15, R20, R14
Snow: C00, C1, C3
Hat: C00, C1, C3,
Scarf: BV0000, BV11, B21, B97, B99
Red Gift: R20, R14, YG11, G24
Green Gift: YG11, G24, R14
Blue Gift: B21, B97, B99, Y15, Y28
Banner: R20, R14

I added foam tape to the back of the die cut focal circle and popped it up on the card to finish it off.

Here's a look at {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 41 for the month of January. I am loving this sketch! So many possibilities depending on the papers you use. I'm excited to see what everyone does with it. I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch! If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration for this sketch, check out the amazing inspiration from the design team over on the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! You won't regret it! The design team had a blast with this one!

Advent Calendar Day 20 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's Day 20 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I'm revealing the Advent Calendar stamp on my YouTube channel each day and also have a short blog post. I can't believe it's the 20th already... wasn't it just the first week of December yesterday? So crazy! Anywho, today's stamp is just too cute!

An adorable snowman stamp is the next Advent Calendar stamp! I stamped the sweet snowman using Black Amalgam ink on a die cut I had cut using the smallest circle die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. I colored up the sweet snowman using the following Copic markers: C00, C1, C3, BG70, BG72, BG75.

Inspiration for today's card comes from the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 31. I think the only change I made for this one was using the smaller circle die but all the measurements for the paper layers are what's in the sketch.

I paired today's Advent Calendar stamp with the pretty Brilliant Blizzard {paper pack} and the Getting Cozy {paper pack}... another duo paper pair up!!

I stamped the joy sentiment from the Winter Cheer and Deer stamps using the Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink. I fussy cut it and adhered it to the circle and then popped them both up using foam tape. {Please forgive the photos... not sure why the white looks so dingy.}

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day 20 stamp and my process in making this card here... Advent Calendar Day 20 | Unity Stamp Co.

I think there may be some Advent Calendars still available if you didn't order one yet. I'll be back tomorrow for Day 21 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity! Have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Advent Calendar Day 16 ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for Day 16 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity!! I'm revealing the Advent Calendar stamp on my YouTube channel each day and also have a short blog post. Today's stamp is my absolute favorite!! Just saying!

An adorable snowman stamp is the next Advent Calendar stamp! I stamped the snowman on a circle die cut from white card stock using the smallest die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. I also die cut a slightly larger circle from Real Red card stock from Stampin' Up using the next largest die from the same die set. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers:

Snow: B0000, B000
Nose: YR21, YR15, YR68
Stick Arms: E55, E57
Buttons: N1, N3, N5
Scarf: R20, R14, R46

Inspiration for today's card comes from the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 26. I think the only change I made to this sketch was the size of the circle die cut. Not sure just how wide it is.

I paired today's Advent Calendar stamp with my favorite papers... the Watercolor Winter {paper pack}. Such beautiful papers and all the white really works with the white snowman.

I heat embossed the sentiment  from the Winter Cheer and Deer stamps using the TE Anti Static Powder tool and Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions. I also used Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe. And melted the ep using a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. All on a scrap of Real Red card stock from Stampin' Up.

You can check out my video revealing the Advent Calendar Day16 stamp and my process in making this card here... Advent Calendar Day 16 | Unity Stamp Co.

Have you caved yet and bought the Advent Calendar? There's still some available. I'll be back tomorrow for Day 17 of the 2023 Advent Calendar from Unity! Have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Friends Warm the Heart ~ Cozy Knit Stencil ~ A Colorful Life Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm so excited to share a fun Winter card as a guest designer for A Colorful Life Designs. Have you checked out the selection of stencils over at A Colorful Life Designs yet? All so AMAZING! There is literally something for every occasion!! Before we get to my card, please use code Crystal10 for 10% OFF your order over at A Colorful Life Designs and tell them Crystal sent you over!

Today I'm sharing a very simple Winter card featuring the Cozy Knit Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. It makes such a pretty background! I love, love, love this stencil! I blended Tumbled Glass and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks over the stencil leaving white space around the edges.

The adorable girl and snowman (and the bunny further down in the pictures) is from the STAMPtember stamp set collaboration from The Greeting Farm and Simon Says Stamp called Warm the Heart. This is an exclusive set that, unfortunately, is no longer available. I'm so glad I was able to get it and super excited that I could play with it already. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up these cute images:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E04, R00, R20
Hair: YR31, E43, E44
Hat: B000, B00, B02, B04, V000, V12, C00, C1, C3
Coat / Button: V000, V12, V15, V17, B000, B00, B02
Pants: B000, B00, B02, B04
Shoes: N0, N1, N3
Snowball: C00, C1, C3
Snowman: C00, C1, C3, YR21, YR15
Snowman Hat: B000, B00, B02, B04, N0, N1, N3, N5
Snowman Buttons: B000, B00, B02, B04
Bunny: W00, W1, W3, R00, R20 V000, V12, V15, C00, C1, C3

Since I did my ink blending directly on the front of my card base, all I had to do was adhere the cute die cut images to the card. I heat embossed the sentiment using Sugar Cube Pigment ink, Alabaster White embossing powder and my heat tool on True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink. I trimmed the sentiment and popped it up on the card using foam tape.

You can check out my process video here... Friends Warm the Heart | Cozy Knit Stencil | A Colorful Life Designs.
