Hug in a Mug ~ Christmas Quilt ~ A Colorful Life Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
I had started another card for my guest designing gig with A Colorful Life Designs last month, but time got away from me and I didn't get it completed until now. So today I'm sharing a fun Winter card featuring a lovely stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. Have you checked out the selection of stencils over at A Colorful Life Designs yet? All so AMAZING! AND they just released a crazy amount of new holiday stencils! OMG!! You have to go take a look!

I had a fun idea while playing with the Christmas Quilt Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs. I wondered how it would look if I shifted it using two different colors. I did it originally on a scrap of white card stock and I really liked it. So I decided for this card, I wanted to give it a go on Kraft card stock. I blended Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink over the stencil. I shifted the stencil so the design would overlap and I blended Rustic Wilderness over top. I love it!

These fun ladies are from an exclusive STAMPtember stamp set, a collaboration from Art Impressions and Simon Says Stamp called Hug in a Mug. This exclusive set from 2021 is no longer available, unfortunately. But I'm super happy that I finally inked it up! Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up these ladies:

Skin: E000, E00, E11, E04
Brown Hair: E51, E53, E55
Green Hat: YG11, G24, G46, E51, E53, E55, C00, C1, C3
Teal Hoodie: BG70, BG72, BG75
Jeans: B91, B95, B97
Black Boots: N0, N1, N3, N5, N7
Tan Glove: E53, E55, BG72, BG75
Red Mug: R20, R14, R46
Straw: G24, G46
White Hair: C00, C1, C3
Red Hat: C00, C1, C3, R20, R14, R46
Red Scarf: R20, R14, R46
Ivory Sweater: E81, E43
Black Pants: N0, N1, N3, N5, N7
Brown Boots: E51, E53, E55, E57, E59
Blue Gloves: BG70, BG72
Green Mug: YG11, G24, G46

I heat embossed the sentiment using Sugar Cube Pigment ink, Alabaster White embossing powder and my heat tool on Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink that I had die cut using the Land Border Die Set from Newton's Nook Designs. I trimmed the stenciled panel and adhered the sentiment. Trimmed off the excess and adhered the whole panel onto a white A2 top fold card base.

Coffee Loving Cardmakers ~ Good Coffee Good Friends

I am beyond excited to be a Guest Designer for Coffee Loving Cardmakers for the month of November! OMG! This is one happy... and overly caffeinated lady!!

The next best thing to a good cup of coffee is a good friend!
I just had to ink up this sweet set that I got during the STAMPtember event at Simon Says Stamp.  I stamped these fun gals with Memento tuxedo black ink on a 5-1/4 x 4" piece of white card stock. I did a mix of paper piecing and Copic coloring.

For the paper piecing I stamped the images on different pieces of patterned paper from the Echo Park Fall is in the Air 6 x 6 paper pad. I fussy cut the pieces and set them aside. I then colored in the images with the following Copic markers: E0000, E000, E00, E07, E08, E09, E31, E34, E40, E55, E57, E74, W00, W1, W3, C00, C1, C3, C5, R14, R20, R29, B0000, B000, BG000, BG13, BG32, Y28, YR15, YR16, YR27, YR68.

Once the images and the background were colored in, I adhered the patterned paper pieces and then set it aside. I grabbed another piece of white card stock that I ran through my Big Shot with the Stampin Up Woodland embossing folder. I then ran that through the Big Shot again with an oval die to cut out my 'frame'. I adhered the framed woodland piece to the image and then mat the entire piece on black card stock measuring 5-3/8 x 4-1/8". I then adhered that piece to a kraft card base.

The sentiment for this AI Pumpkin Spice set is rather large so I went searching through my stash to find a smaller sentiment that wouldn't cover up the focal image. I came across the Altenew Latte set and thought this was the perfect sentiment! I stamped it with black ink and die cut it with a banner die. I then trimmed it off on one edge. I thought it needed a little contrast of color so it would pop off the card so I also die cut a black banner. I adhered the pieces together and then adhered them to the card. My final touch was a bow... oh my goodness, this bow took some work! I tied and retied and then tied it again.... but I finally got a bow that I liked. I adhered the bow to the card with some pop dots. I just love how this card turned out... I sure hope you do too!

Thank you friends for checking out my blog post!
See ya next time.

CTS Challenge #275 ~ What's Shakin'?

A quick post tonight to share the card I just finished up for the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge #275.

I wanted to make a card with a summer feel but then I saw these cute salt and pepper shakers from Unity Stamp Company called What's Shakin'?... so it got me thinking, why not make a summer card with these shakers? I also wanted to make these shakers shake so I grabbed another mini action wobble and used that to make these shakers shake!

Here's a quick little video to show them shakin' it up!

Here's the products that I used:
Stamper's Select White card stock (Papertrey Ink)
Pretty in Pink card stock (Stampin' Up!)
Summer Mood Collection (Bo Bunny)
Standard Circle Large die (Spellbinders)
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (Tsukineko)
Copics - RV0000, RV02, Y02, YR02
Mini Action Wobble (Art Impressions)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

See ya next time.

Scrapping for Less ~ You're Gonna Need These!!

Hello! Today, I'm sharing a super fun birthday card using Art Impressions Sunny Shades stamp set. Isn't this a funny set?! I just love these fun ladies in this image!

I stamped the image using VersaMark watermark ink onto watercolor paper and then heat embossed some ultra fine black embossing powder. Since the image has some smaller detailed spots, I wanted to be sure that the watercolors would stay where I put them - so that's why I heat embossed the image. I also did it for the cake... all those candles were so much easier to watercolor with the raised image.

Once I had my images ready, I pulled out my ZIG Clean Color Real Brush watercolor brush pens and had a blast coloring. I did pick out my papers beforehand so that I could pull the colors from the papers to use on the images. Sometimes, I do the reverse and then panic trying to find the right paper so I wanted to avoid that.

I thought this sentiment was hilarious and I really designed the whole card based on it! Too funny! Not sure who will get this fun card, but I sure had a ton of fun making it! This fabulous stamp set is available in the shop... here!
