{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 16 ~ Sweet Treat Christmas ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing my last card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 16 in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. I used the super cute Sweet Treat Christmas stamp kit from Unity that recently released for their Brown Thursday sales {psst... there's just a couple more days to snatch up items for this awesome sale!!}!! I just adore the cute cookie stamps in this set!

I've really been enjoying playing with my Kraft card stock lately and couldn't help but color up the cute reindeer cookie with my Copics on Kraft!

The kraft and the coloring kinda felt vintage to me so I decided to go with some of my favorite vintage Christmas papers from The Paper Studio called Old World Winter.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the reindeer cookie:

Cookie Base ~ E30, E31
Reindeer Face / Neck ~ E30, E31, E35, RV13, R20
Antlers ~ E31, E35, E37
Nose ~ R14, R20, R27

I altered the sketch a bit in two ways for this card... first, I flipped the sketch and also I wanted to use a larger sentiment so I opted for the beautiful new Heart of Christmas Sentiment kit and coordinating dies. I distressed the edges just a bit with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink.

Well, I'm pretty happy with this one and my daughter said it's the cutest card ever so... that's that! LOL!

Here's a look at Sketch 16... there's just a few more days to play along with this challenge! Stop by the {BYSHC} blog to see even more sweet inspiration for this sketch.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 16 ~ Peppermint Kisses with Latte ~ Not 2 Shabby

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am back with one last card for the Fall | Winter 2021 Coffee Lovers Hop and, of course, I used Sketch 16 from the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! This was such a super quick card using fabulous papers and ephemera from hop Sponsor Not 2 Shabby!!

All kinds of yummy peppermint goodness in this card! I just can't get enough of these pretty papers and the mix of ephemera is amazing!

I mat the pretty papers with my hoarded Cool Caribbean card stock {retired Stampin' Up! from way back}... THE perfect blue card stock for these papers. I just love the mix of colors in these papers!

I die cut my top layer of Cool Caribbean card stock with the Pleated Lace Rectangles dies from Gina Marie Designs and adhered the ephemera to it.

The sentiment is from the Peppermint Mocha Season stamp set from Not 2 Shabby... perfect for this sweet card!! Pun intended! ;)

I pretty much kept to the sketch for this one... except for the slightly larger die cut rectangle and I did move the sentiment up.

Here's another look at the fun Sketch for the month of November! I'd love to invite you to play along with the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 16... head on over and join us in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group!

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 16 ~ Merry Christmas Treeline ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my weekly Christmas card... well, I've shared a few this week but it's my regular Friday Christmas card. Anywho, I made another card using the new {BYSHC} Sketch 16 and I just had to play with this beautiful new stamp that just happens to be a freebie during Unity's big Brown Thursday Sale called Merry Christmas Treeline from Unity Stamp Co. I adore this cute little stamp!

I wanted to use traditional colors for this card and the beautiful Pine St. Square papers from The Paper Studio came to mind right away. I love the mix of plaid, wood and the distressed look in these papers! I thought they would look really pretty with these cute trees.

I always like to change things up with sketches so I flipped it for this card. Since there's already a sentiment with the trees I opted to add some red and white twine in place of the sentiment in the sketch.

I used the following Copic markers for the cute trees:

Trees ~ G000, G24, G46
Trunks ~ E23, E25
Star ~ Y15, Y35

I'm so happy with how this one turned out!! Love this cute new stamp!

Here's another look at the {BYSHC} Sketch 16 for the month of November!

Kraft & Teal Merry Christmas Card ~ Ornamental Pines Bundle ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today the design teams of Unity Stamp Co and ThermoWeb are sharing inspiration with a fun Instagram Hop for the amazing Ornamental Pines Stamp & Stencil Bundle. I'm so excited!! This bundle is AMAZING!! Since I haven't found my phone stand yet in the many moving boxes, I thought in lieu of a video I'd share a little photo tutorial. But first let's check out my card...

So pretty! This was my first time actually using the Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo and oh my goodness... it's so easy!! I wish I had tried it before. I'd be foiling everything!!

I've been itching to use the gorgeous Background of the Month stamp from October... it's called The Christmas Tree. It's so pretty! And it made a lovely background for the Ornamental Pines!

I stamped The Christmas Tree background stamp on two kraft card fronts measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" with just Wow Clear Embossing ink. It gives a lovely watermark effect to the background.

I randomly inked up the Ornamental Pine stamp first with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and then Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink. Each time I spritzed the stamp with a bit of water and stamped the watermarked kraft card fronts. I stamped it one last time with Peacock Feathers spritzed with water to get the color variation I wanted.

I got distracted and didn't take a photo with the stencil, but all I did here was lay the stencil over the stamped trees and apply Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo over top. I couldn't find my Deco Foil Stencil Pal so I just used a Palette Knife. The gel applies white...

and then it's clear when it's dry!

It's also nice and tacky... ready for some foiling fun!

I used the beautiful Silver Glitter Deco Foil for this card. In this picture you can see the silver and the rainbow... GORGEOUS!!

I trimmed all of my layers and mat them with Bermuda Bay card stock. I wrapped my top layer with some {Natural} May Arts Burlap String. I added a few pieces of scrap card stock under the top layer on the right side so that it would lay flat on the card.

I die cut the beautiful Merry Christmas out of the Bermuda Bay card stock three times and then adhered them all together giving the sentiment dimension. There is an Ornamental Pines die that coordinates with the trees but I decided to fussy cut the tree since the water I used made the lines of the tree run a bit. To finish off the card, I popped up the tree with foam tape.

I used the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 16 for inspiration for my card. Join us in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group... we've been working on our stash of Holiday cards all year! I need to re-count my stash but I know I'm well over 100 so far.

Be sure to stop by the Unity Stamp Co website to snatch up your Ornamental Pine Stamp & Stencil Bundle before they are all gone!! You don't want to miss out on this amazing bundle!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 16 ~ Two Quick & Pretty Cards

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's the first of November and that means it's time for a new sketch challenge over at the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Today I'm sharing two super quick and easy cards using the new {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #16!!

I've had these beautiful Journal Cards from My Mind's Eye in my stash for awhile... a sweet gift from a crafty friend. I thought this sketch would be perfect to use a couple of these cards!

I chose two with sentiments on them to make it even easier. I was also lucky enough to find a coordinating paper pad to compliment the Journal Cards... I used the beautiful Deck the Halls paper pad from Echo Park Paper Co.

All the layers in both cards {minus the white mats} are from the Deck the Halls paper pad.

I added some pieces of scrap card stock underneath the Journal cards on the right side so that the top layer would lay flat.

I really love how quick these cards were and they turned out so pretty! Two more cards for my stash!

Here's a look at the fun {BYSHC} Sketch 16 for the month of November!
I hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch! If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration, check out the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! I'll be back on Friday with my weekly Christmas card!
