Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 20 ~ Pawsome Peepers ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a brand new sketch for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. Once again I had so much fun that I ended up making two cards to share! I veered away from using up my scraps because there weren't enough pieces to work with for this card design. But I'll be back with some 'scraps cards' soon! I did, however, use stamps that still hadn't seen ink!

My two cards for TOPII Sketch 20 featuring all of the adorable pup stamps from Pawsome Peepers from Unity Stamp Co. I just had to ink them all up! I thought these cuties would be perfect for this sketch all stacked up!

My first card featuring four of the adorable pups. I stamped them all using Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs. I colored them up with my Copic markers and fussy cut them out.

I paired the Pawsome Peepers pups with the Timeworn Paws Anthology {paper pack}. I used these beautiful papers for my daisy card that I shared awhile ago. I just love the gorgeous colors in these papers!

I die cut a circle from another pattern paper in the pack using a 1-1/4" circle die from the Nesting Circles Dies from Waffle Flower. I mat the pattern paper circle using a scrap circle in my stash. I'm not totally positive but I think it's a scrap from the Stitched Circle Plate Background dies from Gina Marie Designs that I used on a sweet gnome Halloween card last year.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up these pups:

Top: E50, E53, E21
Second: E000, E11, C00, C1
Third: N0, N1, N3, N5
Bottom: R00, R20, C00, C1

Here's a look at the fun new sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 20. Another great sketch for those larger leftover pieces. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I have a few fun ideas for this sketch and I hope to play some more with it during the next few weeks.

My second card featuring the other four pups from the Pawsome Peepers stamps.
Not only did I struggle to narrow down which pups to ink up for my card which resulted in my using all of them, I also couldn't decide on which papers I wanted to use. So I had to make two cards! All of my measurements are directly from the sketch. The only change I made was the black circle mat that's slightly larger at about 1-1/2".

The pups are adhered to a 2-3/8 x 4-1/8" piece of Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink. The circles are adhered to the focal panel and then I added a bunch of foam tape to the back of both pieces and popped them up on the cards. I finished off the cards using enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs. They weren't labeled so I'm not sure which set they came from... sorry!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the last four pups:

Top: E000, E41, E53, E55
Second: R00, R20, C00, C1
Third: E11, E13, E17, E09
Bottom: R00, R20, C00, C1

The sentiments are also from the Pawsome Peepers stamps from Unity Stamp Co. I trimmed them and mat them with True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink. The white of the paper was a little to bright for the card so I used a blending brush that I usually use for Vintage Photo Distress Ink and just blended over the sentiment without adding anymore ink. I'm so happy with how these cards turned out! I hope you're inspired to play along with the sketch... and maybe even ink up a stamp set that hasn't seen ink yet! Have a wonderful week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Paws Challenge #205 - Use Stripes Challenge
Such a fun challenge this time!! I'll admit I went a little rogue and my use of stripes in my card is a bit outside the box... definitely a loose interpretation of the challenge cue.

My stripes in my card are the beautiful birch trees all lined up in a row... like stripes. I love how this turned out! Just how I envisioned. The birch tree dies are from the Forest Scene Builder Die Set. I die cut three of each tree but only ended up using five trees for my background. The snowy hill was die cut using the stitched hill die from the Land Border Die Set

I created the background by ink smooshing Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks on a piece of Stampers Select White Card Stock from Papertrey Ink that was cut down to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" card front. I dried the background and added some white acrylic paint splatters. I die cut the background using the large postage stamp die from the Framework Die Set. I then blended some Black Soot Distress Oxide ink around the edges. Adhered the background to a white A2 card base and adhered the trees and the snowy hill to the background.

I stamped the sentiment on the snowy hill using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped the sweet snowman and pup from the Holiday Heights Stamp Set  using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored up the snowman and pup with some Copic Markers.  Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used:

Snowman ~ C00, C1, C3
Snowman's Nose ~ YR21, YR15, YR27
Snowman's Buttons ~ N0, N3, N5
Snowman's Hat ~ R20, R14, R27, N0, N1, N3, N5
Snowman's Scarf ~ YG11, G14, R20, R14, R27
Dog ~ E51, E55, E57
Dog's Scarf ~ B000, B91, B93, B97, B99
Birch Trees ~ N3

Once I was done coloring, I die cut the snowman and pup using the coordinating dies from the Holiday Heights Die Set. To finish off the card, I popped up the snowman and pup with lots of foam tape.

Love Puppies & Muddy Paws Background | Flap Fold Card | Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing a sweet card I made for the new release over at Unity Stamp Co.!! Eeep! I adore the sweet pups in the Love Puppies stamp set!! You have got to check them out! Anywho, I made a Flap Fold Card to feature this sweet pup in one of my favorite color combos... kraft, black, white and red!

Those cute little paws on the puppers inspired the Flap Fold for this card. I've been wanting to do one and it just seemed perfect when I saw this cutie! The card base is the same 4-1/4 x 11" size that I would typically use for an A2 card, but I've scored it at 1-3/4 and 7-1/4" to create the fold.

I die cut the Muddy Paw background that was stamped in Black Amalgam ink on the Kraft card stock with the stitched rectangle die from the Blueprints 15 dies from My Favorite Things. I then mat the layer with Real Red card stock measuring 3-3/4 x 5". The sweet pup was also stamped with Black Amalgam ink and then colored with the following Copic markers ~ N0, N1, N2, N3, N6, N10, E34, E37, R000, R14, R27. I fussy cut the pup and set it aside. I stamped the image two more times on scrap card stock and cut inside the lines... I then adhered all those layers together to make the pup a bit more sturdy on the card.

This is the card when it's setting open. Pretty stinking cute, if you ask me! lol
You can check out how I created this card here... Flap Fold Card | Love Puppies & Muddy Paws!

One more little look at this cutie pie before you go! I just adore this sweet stamp! Be sure to check out the new releases over at Unity!

Unity Stamp Company ~ Hailey's Puppy Mini

Hello there crafty friend!
I have a quick and sweet CAS card today to share with you using one of the cutest stamps... a new release at Unity called Hailey's Puppy Mini!! I just adore this sweet little puppy!

To start, I die cut a thin piece of white card stock with a heart die to use as my mask over the brand new Heart Confetti stencil ~ just released too! I am loving this stencil!! I blended some Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink over the masked stencil until I was happy with the blend. I then trimmed the Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8" and adhered it to a kraft card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I then adhered the panel to a white card base.

I die cut a smaller stitched heart using the same Outside In Stitched Heart Stackables by Lawn Fawn from Real Red card stock. I adhered that to the card and colored up the adorable puppy. I kept the coloring simple using the following copic markers ~ N0, N1, N3, R000, R14, E41, E43, C00, C1. I fussy cut the puppy leaving a bit of a border and then trimmed down the sentiment and adhered that to a kraft mat. I popped up the puppy and the sentiment on the card with foam tape. Too cute!
I just love how this turned out! I hope you like it too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
