Feeds My Soul ~ Soul Coffee ~ Polka Dot Orchard

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing another card for the Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers Hop using a fun sketchy new release that I illustrated for Polka Dot Orchard called Soul Coffee. Speaking of new releases, Polka Dot Orchard has a whole bunch of new awesome coffee themed digital stamps and even some amazing new coasters! If you have a minute you should definitely stop by the shop and check it out.

I started by resizing the Soul Coffee image and sentiment in a Word Document and printed them off. I really love this sentiment and it's SO true! LOL

I trimmed a piece of pattern paper from the My Favorite Fall paper pack by Echo Park Paper Co.  and adhered it to the bottom of a Kraft A2 top fold card base. I used a cute x stitch die from My Favorite Things called Basic Stitch Lines dies for the pretty stitched design above the paper.

I set the card aside and colored up the cup with the following Copic markers:

Coffee ~ E21, E23, E25
Steam ~ N0, N2, Colorless Blender
Cup ~ BG11, BG23, YR15, YR21, YR68
Saucer ~ YR15, YR21, YR68

I fussy cut the cup and trimmed the sentiment and adhered both to the card. A simple but pretty Fall inspired coffee card!

Have you checked out the Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers Hop? I'm loving all the amazing cards being shared! I hope you'll check it out and there's still time to play along. And be sure to stop by Polka Dot Orchard to see all the amazing new releases!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #8 ~ Oh What Fun ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

It's Friday and you know what that means... I'm back with another Christmas card for the week using the March sketch from the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers group! This is my 12th official week of making a Christmas card each week and I actually more than 12 cards in my stash so I'm really happy with my goal thus far!! This is also the last day of the Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop and it's a little fun to end it as I started... with a Christmas card! So let's get to it!

What do you think? I changed up the sketch just a tad by using die cut snowflakes in place of the circle for the girl but also added one under the sentiment. I really like how it turned out. I used the adorable Oh What Fun Sentiment kit from Unity Stamp Co. Isn't she just the cutest stamp?! There's 3 sweet girls in the whole set and a whole bunch of sentiments... you should go check it out!

I used the beautiful Deck the Halls papers from Echo Park papers and the snowflake die is the Sizzix Thinlits Flurry #2 die from Tim Holtz.

Here's a look at the March sketch.

I used the following Copic markers to color up this cutie:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ E21, E23, E29
Hat / Coat ~ C00, C2, G14, G19
Skirt ~ G14, G19, G29
Scarf / Mittens / Shoes ~ R21, R32, C00, C2

Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop ~ Good Morning Spring ~ Polka Dot Orchard

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I actually have a Spring themed coffee card to share for the Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop!! I used the beautiful Good Morning Spring digi set from Polka Dot Orchard along with a fun Coffee die from STAMPlorations!!

After making so many mini slimline cards, it was nice to switch back to an A2 sized card. I used one of my favorite dies... the Blueprints 20 dies from My Favorite Things for my base layers. The pretty Hello Easter papers are from Echo Park. I've mat them with Early Espresso card stock and die cut the Coffee die three times with the same card stock. I adhered the Coffee die cuts all together using liquid glue.

I combined the sentiment and cup from the Good Morning Spring digi stamp set in a Word document and print them off.

I used the following Copic markers to color the cup:

Lid ~ RV10, RV11
Cup ~ C00, C2
Sleeve ~ YG11, YG25
Flower ~ Y06, Y11, Y18, YR15
Outline/Grounding ~ BG0000, N0, N2

I added a few dots of white gel pen to the center of the flower and then mat the trimmed piece with Early Espresso card stock. I wrapped the plaid layer with some pretty white ribbon and adhered all the layers to a white A2 top fold card base. I then adhered the Coffee die using foam tape under the first three letters and liquid glue for the last three letters.

There's just a few more days to play along with the Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop! I hope you'll check it out and maybe even play along! Stop by Polka Dot Orchard and check out the fab sale going on right now... serious discounts on a whole lot of fabulous digi stamps!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop ~ Gnome Talkie Before Coffee ~ Polka Dot Orchard

 Hello there crafty friend!

I am so happy that the 2021 Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop is a non-specific themed hop because that means I can share another fabulous Christmas card... this time featuring the adorable gnome from Gnome Talkie Before Coffee from Super Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard!!

And I just HAD to make another mini slimline card!! Can't get enough of this card size!
My background papers are called Ho Ho Gnome craft papers from Polkadoodles. I embossed the fun papers with a snowflake embossing folder for a bit of texture and then trimmed them down to 5-3/4 x 3-1/4". I die cut a couple stitched hillsides using the Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders dies from Lawn Fawn. I layered them on the patterned paper and then trimmed them. I wrapped the layers with a silver cord and then tied a little bow. I then adhered the entire panel to a Coastal Cabana card front measuring 3-1/2 x 6" and adhered the card front to a white mini slimline card base measuring 7 x 6" that was scored at 3-1/2".

I combined the adorable gnome with the sentiment in a Word document and printed it off. I then colored the image with the following Copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, R11
Beard ~ C00, C2
Clothes ~ R000, R14, R27, YG03, YG25, C00, C2
Shoes ~ N3, N5, N10
Mug ~BG10, BG23
Coffee ~ E21, E27, E49, E51

Here's a look at the adorable digi stamp and check out all those sentiments!! All those fun sentiments fit just right in that mug! Can you believe this digi stamp set is only $3 right now!? Such an awesome price!!

Here's one more look at this fun card! I hope you like it!

I can't believe we're more than half way through the hop!! If you haven't had a chance yet, be sure to stop by the hop and check out all the amazing creations being shared!! And then stop by Polka Dot Orchard... there's a fabulous sale going on right now!!

Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop ~ Coffee Side by Side ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

It's me again with another mini slimline coffee card for the 2021 Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop!! I couldn't help but make another fun mini slimline card! These cards are addicting! This time I'm using two fun stamp sets from Super Sponsor Unity Stamp Co... Coffee Side by Side and Whit's Words!!

I stamped the Coffee Side by Side stamp a few times with Memento Tuxedo black ink on the mini slimline panel measuring 5-5/8 x 2-5/8". I then mat it on a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock measuring 5-3/4 x 2-3/4" and then adhered it to a mini slimline card front measuring 6 x 3" and adhered the entire panel on a 6 x 6" card base that I scored at 3".

I stamped the one cup one more time on a scrap piece of white card stock and then colored it up with the following Copic markers ~ BG11, BG34, E21, E23, R14, R27, C00, C2. I fussy cut the cup and adhered it to the card.

I stamped the 'You're my favorite' sentiment from Whit's Words with Sea Glass ink from Gina K. Designs and added a couple enamel hearts to finish off the card.

Have you checked out the fun Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop yet? I've done a little hopping and ohhh... there's some beautiful creations being shared! Always love this hop!

Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop ~ My Love Mug ~ Polka Dot Orchard

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm super excited to share a mini slimline card using the adorable freebie stamp that's available from Super Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard during the 2021 Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop called My Love Mug!!

How cute is that mug?! I love it! I'm a bit obsessed with the mini slimline cards right now! I'll be sharing a few during the hop. This particular mini slimline measures 3-1/2 x 6". I usually do 3 x 6" for my mini slimline cards, but when I print off this fun digi set I had originally planned to make a regular slimline so it's a little big.

I paired up this sweet digi stamp with some old Stampin' Up! papers from my stash called Stacked with Love. I wanted to keep with a love theme and the hearts in these papers were perfect!

I used the following Copic markers to color up this cute mug:

Mug ~ C00, C2, R000, R14, R27
Coffee ~ E21, E25, E49
Steam ~ C00, C1, C3, R000, R14, R27
Ground ~ N0, N2

To finish off the card, I added a couple scraps of the patterned paper that I fussy cut and stapled them to the focal piece. I then popped up the entire focal piece on the card with foam tape. I love the extra dimension that gives to this card.

Have you checked out the fabulous hop yet?! You really should... there's lots of inspiration, prizes and a lot of the Super Sponsors, including Polka Dot Orchard, are having sales right now!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Unity Stamp Company ~ December 2018 Layers of Life Revive ~ Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Hop

Hello there crafty friend!
Today, I'm sharing another card for the fabulous Spring | Summer 2020 Coffee Lovers Hop using one of my favorite kits from Unity Stamp Company called Revive... this is a Layers of Life kit from December 2018 and it is ABSOLUTELY amazing to use in a mixed media style card so, that's exactly what I did!!

I started by blending Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink over the right side of a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" piece of Kraft card stock. I then blended some Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink over the left side and into the middle. I blended with big wispy circles kind of giving a smoky feel to the blends. I then blended some Ground Espresso on the right side leaving some of the Vintage Photo. And to add a bit more contrast to the colors I added a tiny bit of Black Soot to the very edge on the left side.

I stamped the Revive stamp onto the dried background that I rubbed with my anti-static pouch with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and heat embossed a fine clear embossing powder. I then stamped another background stamp from the Vibes kit this time, but again with the Ground Espresso. I stamped that twice down the left side of the card. It gets lost in the darker portion of the card on the left side, but you can see some of the text in the center on the Vintage Photo blends. It needed more of something so I started looking through my stencils. I decided first to use the grid-like stencil from the Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 22. I used it on the upper right side and blended some Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink... it goes about two-thirds down the card. I then blended some Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink over the same stencil in the bottom right corner.

I set that stencil aside and started rummaging through my stencils again... that's when I found my coffee splatter stencil and knew I HAD to use it! This stencil is from the Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 3. I blended some Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink over the stencil on the left side of the card. It really pops on the darker blends on that side. Now I decided the coffee cup was getting lost in this background so I stamped it again but this time I used VersaFine Onyx Black ink and I heat embossed it with the fine clear embossing powder, as well. And then to color the coffee cup all I did was blend some of the Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink making sure to keep it light near the top of the cup. To ground the cup on the background, I blended some Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink just back and forth... I love how the stencil pops through the darker ink! I did a bit of water splatter and dabbed it up with a paper towel and then I added some black acrylic paint splatters. I fussy cut the cup and popped it up on the background. Now this fabulous sentiment which sums up my addiction to the wonderful caffeinated beverage that this whole hop is about is from another fantastic kit called Whit's Words. I blended a tiny bit of Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink on a scrap piece of white card stock and then stamped the Obsessed sentiment with Gina K.'s Black Amalgam ink.

To mat my background, I blended some Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink around the edges of a white card front trimmed down to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8". I trimmed down my background to 4 x 5-1/4" and adhered it to the mat. I then adhered the entire panel to a black card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" and adhered that to a kraft top-fold A2 card base.

Well... this was not a short post but I think I covered all the details of this card. If you have any questions on how I created this card, feel free to ask in the comments. Be sure to check out the Spring | Summer 2020 Coffee Lovers Hop... it's winding down tomorrow. I sure have had a blast creating and sharing during this hop... I hope to sit back and check out more of the creations soon!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
