Meowica ~ Purr-ade Crasher Pissy Kitty ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Who is ready for summer?! The latest pissy kitty is!! LOL! Or maybe not!! Hahaha... it's such a cute stamp! This cutie is called Purr-ade Crasher Pissy Kitty from Unity.

I just had to ink her up and color her with my Copic markers.

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:
Kitty: C0, C1, C2, R00, R20
Glasses: R20, R14, R27, Y11, Y15
Shirt: Y11, Y15, B000, B00, B02
Pants: R20, R14, R27
Sparkler: Y11, Y15, YR15

I die cut the kitty using a die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. I die cut one of the sentiments using a die from the Distressed Tickets {ticket dies} and then I ink smooshed it with Candied Apple and Lumberjack Plaid Distress Inks. I just trimmed up the 'meowica' sentiment. The sentiments are adhered to the circle and I popped them all up on the card.

The background was a scrap in my stash that I had run through my big shot with the Bricked embossing folder from Tim Holtz. It's not super easy to see the distressed bricks in the background in my photos but it's visible in person. I ink smooshed the background with Salty Ocean and Candied Apple Distress Inks. I die cut the background using the largest die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting dies. I adhered all of my layers to a white A2 top fold card base. And then I finished it off with some fun sequins from my stash. Love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal

Happy 4th of July ~ Patriotic Gnome ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
Sharing one more card for Unity's latest release. I just had to play with the awesome new Patriotic Gnome! How stinkin' cute is this guy?! And he was so fun to color up, too!

I've had these patriotic papers in my stash for awhile. Not sure where they came from but I really thought they would be fun to use with the awesome new Tab Fold {Fun Fold Die}. So I die cut the inside striped papers and the firecracker papers and then I didn't want to use either of those again for the tab and then I remembered Unity released a patriotic paper pack with an old Whit Kit. I went searching through my stash and found it! Actually, it wasn't much of a search it's called Americana Vibes {paper pack} so it was first in my Unity paper pack box since it's organized alphabetically. LOL

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used for Patriotic Gnome:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair / Mustache / Beard: C00, C1, C3
Hat / Clothes / Sneakers: B91, B93, B95, C00, C1, C3, R20, R14, R46
Flowers: C1, Y15, YG11, YG23, R14, R46
Grass: YG11, YG23

I didn't want the tab to cover up the gnome so I used a ruler and pencil to draw a line where I wanted to cut an opening. I laid my card open and flat on my mat and used a Fiskars Fingertip Control Craft Knife along my ruler to cut out the line. I ended up having to extend the cut a tiny bit on either end but it fits perfectly. Super easy too.

Here you can see the tab pulled out.
The sentiment was stamped with Black Amalgam ink and then die cut using the smallest die from the Postage Stamp {nesting dies}. I added foam tape to the back and popped it up on the card.

Here you can see the inside of the card. I think I may die cut a panel of white card stock to insert here. Maybe I'll use the Postage Stamp {nesting dies} to coordinate with the sentiment on the front of the card. Oh, and maybe I'll stamp another Patriotic Gnome and add him inside the card too.

So the firecracker papers were a little too busy... I didn't just want to adhere the Patriotic Gnome over top and him get lost in the firecrackers so I die cut a circle from vellum card stock using a die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. Such a fun card to make. Hope you have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal

Interactive Card ~ Gnome of the Brave ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I'm so excited to share a fun new release from Unity Stamp Co. called Gnome of the Brave. I paired this adorable gnome up with the Broad Stripes, Bright Stars stamp that was released last year! I thought it would be so fun to make an Interactive card by having the fun gnome ride his rocket across the flag! Ha... so fun!

I blended my background with Candied Apple and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks and even added some water splatter for texture. And then I stamped the big Broad Stripes, Bright Stars flag over top with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink. I love the distressed design of this flag!! I die cut the flag with the smallest of the dies from the Slide On Over Semicircles by Lawn Fawn. In retrospect, I should have die cut two of these semicircles to keep the gnome from spinning in circles but... it's also kind of fun that he's riding this rocket and you can make him turn in circles. Haha... so I don't know.

I colored up the cute gnome and rocket with the following copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Beard ~ C00, C2
Hat / Rocket ~ C00, C2, R14, R46, B12, B28, Y02, Y15, Y35
Shoes ~ N2, N4, N6
Flag ~ R000, R14, R46, B12, B28

I fussy cut the image leaving a white border around the edges. I made the image a bit more sturdy by stamping and fussy cutting a second image and adhering both layers together. I adhered him to the sliding mechanism that I created using two small circles with a mini stampin' dimensional in the middle. I stamped the sentiment, trimmed it and adhered it to the background.

Here's a quick video to show the cute gnome in action!

And one last look at the card! Isn't he just the cutest gnome!? I sure love how this turned out! I hope you do too! I'll be back tomorrow with another fun new release from Unity Stamp Co.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Polka Dot Orchard ~ America My Hero ~ Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July crafty friends!!!
I'm here to share a couple cards that I made for the 4th of July using the wonderful America My Hero digi set from Polka Dot Orchard ...created and designed by my crafty friend, Jeanie Hays!! This is a fabulous digi set and wonderful for your 4th of July cards! I also think it would be great to use for military cards!

I created and designed both of my cards at the same time. I started by printing off the star background that I had resized and printed off in a Word document. This was actually printed as a full sheet of digi images that I cut down to a half sheet. I then blended Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink over both star backgrounds... for some reason in the picture above it's really light but this is the finished blended backgrounds that I use in both of my cards.

My first card using the blue star background... see how different it is in this picture... so weird!
Anywho, I colored the wonderful jar and flag and the banner using B0000, B000, B24, B28, R000, R14, R27, E11, E35, E51, N0, N1, N3, and the Colorless Blender Copic Markers. I fussy cut the images and set them aside. I then die cut my blue star background with a large stitched rectangle die.

I die cut the sentiment that I combined with the fireworks images. I adhered that piece to the blue star background. I then popped up the jar image and adhered the banner with liquid glue. My red layer for this card actually came from the die cut negative of my second card. I adhered my entire panel to that piece and then adhered the entire card front to a white card base.

My second card focuses on the large sentiment... I blended Candied Apple around this sentiment and die cut it with a medium sized stitched rectangle die. I layered my blue star background onto a large scrap of white card stock and wrapped it several times with some red and white bakers twine. I then layered the entire panel onto a Real Red card base.

I popped up the sentiment with foam tape and finished off my card using white gel pen to color in a few stars. I'm loving how these cards turned out! I sure hope that you enjoy them, too!

I wish you and your family a very safe and wonderful 4th of July!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
See ya next time.
