Copic Coloring on Kraft ~ Happy and Cozy Mini Slimline ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
My Whit Kit has been delayed a bit so in lieu of a Membership Monday post, I have a mini slimline card using the adorable new release called Happy and Cozy. When I shared my card earlier this month with the awesome door from the May 2022 Kit of the Month, I had several people ask about my copic coloring on Kraft. I thought this cute stamp set would be perfect for sharing my technique.

I die cut the panel on Kraft card stock with the Scalloped Stitched Mini Slimline die from Gina Marie Designs. And then I got to coloring...

Here's a list of the Copic Markers I used:

Cabin ~ E55, E57, E59
Windows ~ Y11, Y06, Y15
Grass ~ YG13, YG93, YG95, YG97, YG99
Trees ~ E55, E57, YG13, YG93
Stars / Moon ~ Y11, Y06
Chimney / Smoke / Steps ~ N1, N3
Sky ~ BV0000, BV000, BV01, BV34, BV25, BV29

One little note when you color on Kraft card stock... the ink appears very dark at first, but it does lighten when it dries. It's also a bit muted in color... I really love the technique!

I added some white acrylic paint splatters and since the splatters messed up the nice clean edges I was wanting, I trimmed the panel just inside the stitching. I adhered the layers and wrapped some {Ivory} burlap string around the panel tying a pretty little bow. I popped up the panel with foam tape adhering it to a 3-1/8 x 6-1/8" piece of Midnight Muse card stock and then I adhered the card front to a 7 x 6-1/2" mini slimline card base that I scored at 3-1/2". Simple Sympathy Card with Sepia Coloring on Kraft ~ Compassionate Daisies ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a card that us cardmakers don't necessarily like to make but sadly they are necessary. So I thought the beautiful new Compassionate Daisies stamp from Unity's new release would be perfect for a very simple and quick sepia colored sympathy card.

I kept the layers very simple with a 4-1/8 x 5-1/8" piece of Kraft card stock with the beautiful daisies and sentiment from the Compassionate Daisies stamped in an alcohol ink friendly ink.

For my sepia coloring I just used four Copic markers ~ E50, E53, E55, and E59.

I adhered the daisies panel to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/4" piece of True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink. I adhered the panel to a 4-1/4 x 11" Kraft card base; scored at 5-1/2". I left a bit of Kraft peeking out of the top and bottom of the base.

Well that's it for me today! Do yourself a favor and go check out all the fab new releases at Unity for the second round of the Birthday Sale!! I'll be back tomorrow with my weekly Christmas card!

Funny Birthday Card ~ Full of Surprises ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
The fabulous Birthday Sale at Unity is still on!! Today I'm sharing a cute new release using the new Full of Surprises stamp kit. This bird cracks me up!! I love it so much! And the sentiments are perfect for a funny card!!

It's seemed like a no-brainer to pair this fun bird with the Birthday Party {paper pack} from Unity. I used colors from the papers to coordinate for my coloring.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Bird ~ RV10, RV95, RV34, with a hint of B000 in the feathers on the head
Beak ~ Y11, Y06, Y15
Eyes ~ C00, C2
Ground ~ C00, C3

I die cut the bird with the largest stitched rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Unity. I die cut the star pattern paper with the largest scalloped stitched die from the same nesting die set. I adhered those two layers together and then adhered them to a card front of Sweet Sugarplum card stock from Stampin' Up. I used a few scraps for my flags on the card. Adding a couple on both the top and the bottom... I think they're a fun touch to add to a card. And a great way to use those scraps of pattern paper!

Well that's it for me today! Go check out all the fab new releases at Unity for the second round of the Birthday Sale!! I'll be back tomorrow with a super quick and easy sympathy card using another new release from Unity!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Quick Birthday Card Set ~ 2-Step Wreath ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a quick set of birthday cards that I made using the new 2-Step Wreath from Unity Stamp Co. I've been in serious need of birthday cards lately and I thought this wonderful stamp set would be perfect for some quick cards... and I was SO right!

I thought about making them all the same but I wanted to play with some different colors and see what I liked more. I chose 4 green distress oxide inks along with a purple, a yellow, a pink, and a red.

For my first card I used Bundled Sage and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide inks. My card stock mat is Almost Amethyst from Stampin' Up.

For my second card I used Mowed Lawn and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide inks. My card stock mat is Dandelion Delight from Stampin' Up.

For my third card I used Twisted Citron and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks.
My card stock mat is Pretty in Pink from Stampin' Up.

For my last card I used Rustic Wilderness and Festive Berries Distress Oxide inks. My card stock mat is Real Red from Stampin' Up.

I stamped the leaves first with the green inks and then stamped the flowers with the other colors. I stamped the sentiment from the Hello Sweetheart Bouquet {May 2020 Sentiment Kit} with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Design. I trimmed the card fronts to 3-13/16 x 5-1/16" and then I mat them with coordinating colors of card stock measuring 4 x 5-1/4". I adhered the panels to white A2 top fold card bases. Super simple cards that could be jazzed up with ribbon, enamel dots, or rhinestones. But I think they turned out pretty just how they are.

You can check out my process video for these cards here... Quick Birthday Card Set | 2-Step Wreath | Unity Stamp Co.

Unity's huge Birthday Sale is still happening!! Head over to Unity and see all the fab new releases... including the 2-Step Wreath!! That's it for me today... I'll be back tomorrow with my weekly Christmas card.

Follow Your Dreams Gnome Matter What ~ Graduation Gnome ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
So super excited to share a cute graduation card with the latest gnome... the Graduation Gnome from Unity Stamp Co. This cutie was just released over at Unity for their big 14th Birthday Sale!! Woohoo! I love this time of year! The Unity Birthday sale is always so awesome!!

I started this card by stamping and coloring up the adorable Graduation Gnome. I then die cut him with the largest stitched scalloped die from the Make a Tag {die set} also from Unity. While I had the die out I also die cut a piece of True Black card stock. Since it was the largest die I wouldn't be able to die cut a tag for a mat but I could offset the same size die behind it which gives it some dimension.

For my background I die cut a piece of white card stock with the Falling Stars {background die} from Unity. My original plan was to actually use the die cut background as a stencil. I blended Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks in an ombre style blend over the makeshift stencil but I didn't like how bright the background was... there was too much white. It just wasn't right for the card. When I placed the tags on the yellow ink blended star background though... Bam! It popped! So I went with it and set the stenciled background aside for another day. I adhered the star background to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" True Black card front.

I used the following Copic markers to color up this adorable Graduation Gnome:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Beard ~ C00, C3
Graduation Cap ~ N1, N3, N6
Tassel ~ Y06, Y15
Shoes ~ N1, N3, N6
Diploma ~ C00, C3, R14, R27
Grounding ~ N1, N3

To tie in the white of the tag I stamped the sentiment on white card stock and cut it so it wasn't quite centered. I used a couple of the die cut stars as an accent. Since they were die cut before I did the ink blending I just dabbed them in the Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed ink pads to give them a little bit of color. I adhered the trimmed sentiment to a slightly larger strip of True Black card stock and then adhered it to the card front. I adhered the black tag to the back of the gnome tag at an offset angle and then I popped up both with lots of foam tape. So cute and I think this card could be made with any combination of school colors for the graduate in your life.

Have you stopped by Unity to check out the fab new releases and amazing Birthday sale? Oh my gosh... so many new goodies! I was able to get a few fun stamps that have been on my wishlist too!! Yay!
Well, that's it for me today... I'll see ya tomorrow with a fun card for Membership Monday.

Well, Hello There ~ Fall Out Hearts & Dashes and Frills Hearts Dies ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's May which means that Unity is having their big Birthday Sale celebrating 14 years and that means two things... first of all, that means they have a HUGE and Awesome sale!! Woohoo! Secondly, the new releases for the big Birthday sale are always extra AMAZING!!! I'm sharing a card today using THREE new amazing releases {one of which is a Freebie!!}... the Well Hello itty bitty stamp, the Fall Out Hearts {background die} & the Dashes and Frills Hearts {die set}!!!

I started by ink smooshing a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor card stock with Saltwater Taffy and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide inks. I like to leave some white when I do ink smooshing for some contrast and when my focal piece has white it also helps the background to pop!

I used the awesome Fall Out Hearts {background die} to die cut my ink smooshed background. I kept all those pretty hearts and set them aside. I cut a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" mat of Flirty Flamingo card stock from Stampin' Up that coordinates really nicely with these two colors of oxide inks. I trimmed my Fall Out Hearts background piece to 4 x 5-1/4" by trimming 1/16" off of each side. This way the hearts background is still centered. I wrapped the card front with Fresh Snow Luxe Satin ribbon from Papertrey Ink securing it with tear tape.

I colored up the beautiful Well Hello itty bitty stamp with the following Copic markers:

Leaves ~ YG11, YG23
Petals ~ R12, R22
Flower Centers ~ Y02, Y19

I die cut the pretty flowers with the third largest frills heart die with the tiny scallops from the Dashes and Frills Hearts {die set}. I seriously love the tiny scallops on this die... they are SO cute!! I also die cut a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock with the largest dashes heart die from the Dashes and Frills Hearts {die set}. I adhered the two hearts together and then added a couple of the tiny ink smooshed hearts that were die cut from my background. I adhered the heart to the card front and then popped up the trimmed sentiment with foam tape.

Head on over to Unity to see all the amazing new releases and the fabulous samples all the Design Team has shared!! You have to go look... seriously!! You won't be disappointed!
