{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 55 ~ Winter Cardinals Set 2 ~ Pink & Main

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with a little inspiration for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 55 hosted in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Today I'm sharing another sweet holiday card featuring an adorable stamp from our lovely Sponsor, Pink & Main!

This time I've inked up the cutest little cardinal from the Winter Cardinals Set 2. I absolutely adore cardinals and was tickled to see that there are two full sets of these adorable birds! Of course, I needed them both! I stamped the cute bird using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it up with Copic markers. I die cut the cardinal using the coordinating Winter Cardinals Set 2 Dies.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Red: R20, R14, R27
White: C00, C2
Beak / Feet: YR15
Scarf: YG11, G24, G46
Lantern: N0, N2, N4
Candle: Y11, Y15, Y17

I paired up this cutie with the same papers I used last time... the Santa Claus Lane 6x6 Paper Pad from Echo Park Paper Co. Only this time I die cut my background layer using the Cloudy Frames Dies. Unfortunately, it looks like those dies are retired. I went back and forth on my paper choices for that background layer and just decided to keep both pieces together. The light green layer behind the cardinal is also from this paper pad.

I stamped the sentiment also from the Winter Cardinals Set 2. And I was pleasantly surprised to see a coordinating die for the sentiment included in the Winter Cardinals Set 2 Dies. Yay! I adhered all of my layers to a black A2 top fold card base.

Here's a look at {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 55 for the month of March. If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration for this sketch, check out the amazing inspiration from the design team over on the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! The design team, as always, rocked this sketch!

Membership Wednesday ~ December 2023 Uniquely Unity Cardinal Comfort ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a sweet vintage style card using the lovely cardinal stamp from the fantastic December 2023 Uniquely Unity membership from Unity called Cardinal Comfort.

I stamped the pretty cardinal with Black Amalgam ink and colored it up with the following Copic markers:

Cardinal: R20, R14, R46, YR0000, YR15, YR09
Pine Needles: YG11, G24, G46
Snow: C00, C1, C3

I die cut the pretty cardinal using a die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies}. I also die cut the paper layers from the Yuletide Memories {paper pack} using the largest two dies from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}.

I adhered the pattern papers to a Kraft card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" and then I wrapped the panel three times with {Natural} May Arts Burlap String and tied a pretty bow. I added foam tape to the top and bottom portions of the cardinal panel and then popped it up on the card.

Here's a quick look at the Uniquely Unity membership this month! Isn't it just beautiful?! Well, that's it for me today! I'll be back next week with inspiration for the December 2023 Kit of the Month. Until then have an ink-tastic day!

Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Winter Cardinals ~ Pink & Main

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a sweet Christmas card for the Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party using an adorable stamp set called Winter Cardinals from our brand new Sponsor Pink & Main! I just adore this cute stamp set and couldn't wait to ink it up!

To create my background I used the Simple Stripes: Diagonal die from return Sponsor Lawn Fawn. This awesome die is great for those strips of scrap pattern papers. Keep in mind you do need a few long strips but I used mostly scraps for this one. I think the polka dot papers was the only one that was a full 6x6 sheet. I used my favorite paper pack for this card ~ the White Winter {paper pack} from Unity. I can't help but reach for it again and again! I love the pretty greens and especially that knit green background... I. Love. It!!

I stamped the adorable cardinal on white card stock with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K Designs. I colored up this cutie with the following Copic Markers:

Cardinal ~ R20, R14, R27, W00, W2, YR21, YR15
Scarf ~ YG11, G24, G46
Branch ~ C00, C2, C3, G24, G46

I die cut the cardinal with the third largest die from the brand new Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from Unity! I also die cut a piece of Vellum card stock with the second largest stitched circle die from the same die set. I adhered them together and then cut off the right edge. I stamped the sentiment and mat it on a scrap of pattern paper. Both the focal image and sentiment are just adhered to the card... no foam tape this time. I did add a scrap of card stock under the left side of the sentiment so it would lay flat.

My inspiration for my card design was past {BYSHC} Sketch 11 - I did omit the strip under the circle. If you enjoy fun sketches join us in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook groupWe host a fun sketch challenge each month to inspire our holiday cardmaking all year long. Scrapping for Less ~ October 2020 Flavor of the Month Card Kit ~ Sneak Peek

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing my sneak peek of the absolutely wonderful new October 2020 FOTM Card Kit called Christmas is Covered! Ohhh... the Christmas kit is always my favorite! So many beautiful papers and stamps! Let's get to my sneak...

I used the beautiful stamps and papers from Collection One. I adore cardinals for Christmas cards and this sweet cardinal with the holly and berries was just calling my name as soon as I saw it!

And the papers... wow! I'm always blown away by the beautiful papers Teresa includes in the kits! Now the tag that I used for the focal image is a part of the Banana Split subscription... a definite must for making holiday tags this Christmas!! I added a pretty bow and a couple of enamel dots to finish off this adorable card! You can check out my process video here...

And I have a separate video to share my coloring of the focal image. You can check that out here...

Be sure to head back to the SFL blog tonight at midnight for the reveal of the entire kit and the hop with the Design Team and guests! I'm so excited to see all the fabulous creations!! But don't wait... go snatch up your card kit to ensure you get one! You do not want to miss out on this one!

That's it for me this time. I'll see you in a couple of days with inspiration for the new November Sketch Challenge in the Scrapping for Less: Show & Share Facebook group!
