Thinking of You ~ December 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am excited for another fabulous year of Whit Kits from Unity Stamp Co. and I hope to be more consistent in sharing my cards using the kits. However, today I'm sharing a couple cards I created using the beautiful December 2021 Whit Kit called Trust in its Wings. December was such a busy month, I didn't get to play with this kit until now.

I couldn't help but color with my Copic Markers on Kraft card stock again... it's one of my most favorite techniques and it's so pretty for winter cards!

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used to color the image:

Leaves ~ G14, G46
Berries ~ R14, R20, R27, R37
Bird ~ E01, E11, E17, E07, YR24, YR27

I used the coordinating die to die cut the bird. The top layer of Kraft is die cut with the Double Roped Square die from Gina Marie Designs.

My bonus card using the kit!! This kit has another great pack of papers and the wood wreath and berries paper was perfect for a very quick and pretty birthday card using a sentiment from a sentiment kit.

I colored the image the very same way and with the very same Copic Markers on white card stock. It's neat how it's so different from the Copic coloring on Kraft.

You can check out my process video for my first card here... Thinking of You Card | December 2021 Whit Kit.

Even though the kit isn't available anymore, the stamps and papers are available separately at Unity Stamp Co. Be sure to check out the Whit Kit membership at Unity... the new January 2022 kit is perfect for New Year's cards! I can't wait to ink it up and share a bit of inspiration with you!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Membership Monday ~ October 2021 Whit Kit Fall Y'all ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am back with one last card using the beautiful October 2021 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co called Fall Y'all. For this one I got inky and sparkly... I really had fun! I also thought it was about time to bring back my Membership Monday blog posts... I hope to share inspiration from the wonderful Memberships available at Unity each week. I hope you'll stop and check them out!

I ink blended Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks on a white card front and then I splattered the background with some Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink that was spritzed with just a bit of water.

Once the background was dry, I stamped a bunch of leaves all over the background with Wow Clear Embossing ink and then I melted the Pearl Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter. I wish the photos picked up more of the pretty sparkle... in person this is really pretty!!

I wanted to contrast the bright leaves so I cut the dark brown pattern paper to 4 x 5-1/4". I stamped the sentiment with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and then used the fabulous dies to cut the sentiment.

All that was left was to adhere the leaves and sentiment to the dark brown pattern paper. I trimmed the leaves that hung over the edge of the pattern paper and then adhered those on some edges to fill the paper a bit more. I adhered the card front to a white A2 top fold card base to finish off the card. I just love how this one turned out!! So sparkly and pretty!

Even though the kit isn't available anymore, the stamps and papers are available separately at Unity Stamp Co. Be sure to check out the Whit Kit membership at Unity... the new November kit is amazing!! I can't wait to ink it up! I'm thinking I'll share some inspiration next week for Membership Monday!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Happy Fall Y'all ~ October 2021 Whit Kit Fall Y'all ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I'm back with my second card using the fabulous October 2021 Whit Kit called Fall Y'all from Unity Stamp Co. I am loving all the pretty papers in the kit and thought it would be fun to stamp the leaves on some of the papers and die cut them to use on my card.

I used a strip of the leaves paper that was already cut in my paper pack. I tried placing the leaves in different places on the card but nothing seemed quite right. I think it looks good though like a border on the card.

I kinda wish I had used a smaller piece of the leaf paper but I had already adhered it to the card. It didn't leave me with much space for the sentiment.

I stamped the sentiment with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and then die cut it. I temporarily placed the die cut sentiment on the card so I could figure out placement for the "Y'ALL" using my stamp platform. All that was left to finish up the card was to adhered the die cut sentiment. This was another pretty quick card using the kit.

Even though the kit isn't available anymore, the stamps and papers are available separately at Unity Stamp Co. I'll be back on Monday with one more pretty card using this fabulous card kit!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Autumn Blessings Card ~ October 2021 Whit Kit Fall Y'all ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I've been so focused on Christmas cards lately that I completely forgot about the gorgeous October 2021 Whit Kit called Fall Y'all from Unity Stamp Co. With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, I thought it would be a good time to play with this kit!

My first card is very simple... just how I like my cards! I cut the pretty leaf paper into a 4 x 4" square and then cut it diagonal. I cut a piece of white card stock to 4 x 5-1/4" and then I placed the leaf paper on top of the white card stock in my Stamp Platform.

I was then able to line up where I wanted the beautiful Autumn Blessings stamp from the Fall Y'all stamp kit. I stamped it with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink. And then I used my VersaMarker to add some clear watermark ink to the edges of the leaf paper.

I added a bit of the Wow Pearl Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter from the card kit to the watermark ink and melted it with my Mini Wagner heat tool. I just love the sparkly touch it gives to the card! I adhered the leaf papers to the white card front piece and then adhered the entire panel to a kraft A2 top fold card base. So pretty!

Unfortunately, this kit isn't available any longer, but you can purchase the stamps and papers separately at Unity Stamp Co. I'll be back on Sunday with another pretty card using this fabulous card kit!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Just Keep Swimming Card Set ~ August 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I'm back with a whole set of fun and quick cards using the beautiful August 2021 Whit Kit called Just Keep Swimming from Unity Stamp Co.!! The beautiful By the Sea {paper pack} inspired this quick set of cards with all the white space in the top portion... it screamed for a sentiment!

I trimmed four different papers from the By the Sea {paper pack} down to 4 x 5-1/4" and stamped each of them with one of the four sentiments included in the Just Keep Swimming stamp set.

I adhered each piece to a True Black card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" and then adhered the card fronts to white A2 top fold card bases.

I set those aside and stamped four turtles on scrap pieces of white card stock. I colored each of the turtles pretty quick with just 3 Copic markers ~ BG11, G24, G99.

I fussy cut each of the turtles and cleaned up the edges with a Memento Tuxedo black marker and then I adhered them to the cards. This whole set of cards maybe took me 30 minutes... I think the longest part was the fussy cutting. I'm sharing a quick video on my YouTube channel - showing all the fun goodies in the August 2021 Whit Kit and also how I quickly copic colored the turtles! You can check out that video here... August 2021 Whit Kit Reveal & Quick Copic Coloring of a Turtle.

Here's a quick look at the fun set of cards that I created! These would make a great gift for a friend!

And I used the same basic design only a bit bigger to make a 5 x 7" shaker card using the shaker pocket from the card kit.

Unfortunately the photos didn't turn out very well, but you get the main idea!

Here's another look at this month's fab Whit Kit... if you aren't signed up for this fun membership, you should really give it a go! The kits are so amazing each month!

That's it for me this time. I'll be back tomorrow with my weekly Christmas card!

Just Keep Swimming Shimmer Card ~ August 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing a pretty card using the beautiful August 2021 Whit Kit called Just Keep Swimming from Unity Stamp Co!! I decided to use the fun Nuvo Shimmer Powder from this Whit Kit and the two other shimmer powders from a past Whit Kit and make a fun background for some turtles to just keep swimming in!!

I created the background by tapping the bottom of each of the Shimmer Powder bottles over a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor card stock and spritzing the card stock with water.

I dried the background and then added some more Shimmer Powder and spritzed more water. I did this a couple of times until I was happy with the background. I let the background dry and then I stamped the cute turtle a few times and the sentiment on the background with Gina K. Amalgam black ink. I trimmed the background to 3-3/4 x 4-3/4" and mat it with a piece of True Black card stock measuring 3-7/8 x 4-7/8".

I added some Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue around the bottom edge and right corner and sprinkled it with the Seaside Sequin mix from the kit. I adhered a few more sequins around the turtles and then let the background dry again. I cut a card front of True Black card stock and then found a scrap piece of Aqua Mist card stock measuring 2-3/8 x 5". I adhered the background piece to the Aqua Mist scrap and than adhered the entire piece to the True Black card front and then a white A2 top fold card base. I just adore the shimmer in this background!! So pretty!

Here's a little look at the August 2021 Whit Kit... so much fun!
I'll be back tomorrow with a set of cards that I created with the kit!

Membership Monday ~ June 2021 WK Plant a Garden ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

So, I know I said that I would be sharing a CAS card using the beautiful new Uniquely Unity membership, but I needed to switch gears for this weeks Membership Monday post. My June 2021 Whit Kit took a crazy detour seeing all kinds of sights so I got it very late in the month, but I thought I'd go ahead and share a few cards that I made using this fabulous kit!

A CAS card for my first card... I tried out my ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers on the Handmade Wildflower Seed paper and well, using two colors kind of blended but when I used my water pen the pigment really didn't move. I still like how the watercolor turned out on this paper though!

I love the texture of this paper too! It was really fun to try something new with the June kit!

While I was working on my first card, I had an idea for this card... I love when I'm inspired while working on a card. It really gets the mojo juices flowing! Another simple card design, but I really like the mix of colors and the added texture with the Peach Sorbet Nuvo Jewel Drops that were also included in the kit.

You can see a bit of the texture in this picture. I used Scattered Straw, Crackling Campfire and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide inks to stamp the insects.

And my last card using some of the beautiful Plant a Garden papers from the kit along with the wheelbarrow stamp. I really love that sentiment... Keep Going. Keep Growing... so inspiring!

I adhered the sentiment to the bottom of the fussy cut wheelbarrow and then popped them both up with foam squares. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used for this card:

Wheelbarrow ~ E51, E55, E57, N3, N6
Plants ~ G43, G94, YR02, YR20, Y11, Y15
Background ~ B000

I hope you've been inspired to ink up your June 2021 Whit Kit... I'm so glad I finally got a chance to play with mine! This kit isn't available anymore, but you can still order the Plant a Garden stamp set and Plant a Garden paper pack separately at Unity Stamp Co. I'll see you next Monday with a CAS card using the beautiful July 2021 Uniquely Unity membership stamp... for realz this time!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

CAS Terrarium Card ~ February 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing the first card I created using the awesome February 2021 Whit Kit called Small Steps are Progress from Unity Stamp Co. Another fantastic card kit!! I have some fun ideas using this month's kit. I hope you'll stop by to check them out. First up is this CAS Terrarium card!

I used the terrarium stamp and stamped it twice, once on either edge of a white card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I then stamped the terrarium again on another card front. I stamped the different succulents using the ink cubes included in the card kit.

I blended a little Classic Kraft ink from Papertrey Ink on the bottom portion of the terrarium. I also blended a little Tumbled Glass Distress ink on the upper edges of the fussy cut terrarium. I stamped the sentiment with Wow Clear Embossing ink and then heat set the Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I die cut the background panel with a large stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a white A2 top-fold card base. I then popped up the focal piece with foam tape and adhered the sentiment with a bit of Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue in the center and a couple small pieces of foam tape on the ends of the sentiment.

I have a short video sharing my process for this card. You can check it out here... CAS Terrarium Card.

I'm so happy with how this CAS card turned out. I do love a good CAS card.
Hope you like it too!

Slimline Glittery Snow Scene Card ~ Dec. 2020 Whit Kit Winter Shake Up ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I'm excited to share a fun slimline card today! I had so much fun creating another card using the fantastic December 2020 Whit Kit called Winter Shake Up! And it's hard not to make a slimline when the ideas for this style of card are really endless!

I stamped the top portion of the white slimline card front with the snow stamp included in the Winter Shake Up stamp set several times with Sea Glass ink from Gina K. Designs. I also used a Nuvo glue pen to add some of the chunky glitter included in the card kit. I die cut a piece of the Silver Glitterstock and trimmed it so the A2 sized sheet of glitter paper would fit on the slimline card base. You can kind of see the line in between the silver glitter hills, but in real life it's hard to see with all the shine.

I used my Stamp Platform to ink up the car stamp because I wanted to use different inks for the tree and the car. I used Grass Green ink and Charcoal Brown ink, both from Gina K. Designs, for the tree, trunk and stand, and then Memento Tuxedo black ink for the car. I colored up the cute car stamp with the following Copic markers ~ R000, R14, R27, N0, N3, N5, B0000, E55, G46.

You can check out my process video here... Slimline Glittery Snow Scene | DEC 2020 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co. or you can click the video below.

I just can't get enough of this adorable car!! It just may be a new favorite! I have one more card to share using this fantastic card kit... I hope you'll come back tomorrow and check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Unity Stamp Company ~ May 2020 Whit Kit Have Courage ~ Enjoy the Little Things!

Hello there crafty friend!!
Today, I'm excited to share a couple of beautiful cards that I created using the stunning May 2020 Whit Kit called Have Courage!! Such a gorgeous kit!! It has fabulous watercolor papers, and glitter embossing powder AND these gorgeous flowers!!

Both of my cards are very similar in design, I just used different colors for the papers and for watercoloring the flowers.

How fun is this card design overlapping the patterned papers?! I just may use this design again and again... I love the contrast it gives to the card!

And those stunning flowers!! They were amazing to watercolor!

And my second card using purples... I even added a touch of pink to the tips of the flowers! Love how they turned out!

A little bummed that I messed up the placement for my sentiment, but sometimes you just gotta go with it... LOL!

Here's a closeup of these stunning flowers!
Now, if you are interested I made a video for these cards showing my process in making these cards but I'll warn you... there's a bit of a glare from my OTT light overhead. I almost deleted the video completely when I realized I goofed, but I thought someone might like to see it anyways so I'm still sharing it...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
