Hello Sunshine ~ Pool Hair Days ~ Polka Dot Orchard

 Hey there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a bit of sunshine with the fun Pool Hair Days digi stamp from Polka Dot Orchard! I am loving this beautiful summer inspired digi stamp set! Paired up with a fun summer color combo and it's perfect!! It doesn't hurt that the Mojo Monday sketch is a fun slimline sketch... I couldn't resist using it!

So fun & cheerful! It just makes me smile to look at it!
I started by preparing my background which is actually the piece I cut off of the full white sheet of card stock when I cut the slimline base of 7 x 8-1/2". I scored the base a 3-1/2" and set it aside. I was left with a 4 x 8-1/2" piece of white card stock to blend my background on.

I used the Cloud & Wave stencil from Unity Stamp Co. and blended Kitsch Flamingo, Squeezed Lemonade and Spiced Marmalade over the stencil that I had to reposition with each color to cover the whole background piece. The pattern in the waves is repetitive though so it was easy to line up the stencil and blend the next color. I started at the bottom and blended my way up to the top.

Once I was happy with my blending, I set the background aside to dry and print off my digi stamps to color. I combined and resized both images and the sentiment on one Word document. I knew the approximate measurements I wanted to work with since the sketch I used had dimensions listed on it.

All that was left was to color them up with the following Copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ E00, E13, E21
Bikini ~ YR12, YR15, YR20
Flip Flop Floatie ~ RV10, RV52, RV63, Y06, Y15, Y35
Pineapple Cup ~ Y06, Y15, Y35, E55
Umbrella ~ Y06, Y18, Y35, RV10, RV52, RV63, YR12, YR15, YR20
Grounding / Outline ~ E33, E37, B0000, B000

Here's a look at the fun Mojo Monday 560 Slimline Edition sketch that I used... isn't it fun?!

And one more look at the card in whole... doesn't it just make you smile?! I love it!

Scrapping for Less ~ A Couple Cute Christmas Cards

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a couple of cute Christmas cards using a mix of new and old Christmas products from Scrapping for Less! I used the new beautiful Red Christmas paper pad along with the Christmas Sentiments and Reindeer Games stamp sets.

A fabulous mix of pretty papers and adorable stamps along with a fun sketch makes for some adorable Christmas cards to add to my stash! Speaking of a fun sketch... I'm using the sweet sketch over at Poetic Artistry for the current Mojo Monday #544 sketch challenge.

The linky for this sketch challenge is open for just a couple more days... you can check it out here at Mojo Monday 544!!

Using a white card base for my first card helps the white in the patterned papers to pop on the card... really drawing your eye to all the pretty papers!

I just love this cute Reindeer kid from the stamp set... so fun to color!

I love the mix of kraft, red, and white in these papers... one of my favorite color combos AND perfect for Christmas cards!! I probably shouldn't have included the tree... it kinda messes with the color scheme but it's so cute!

I used the following Copic markers for both cards:

Reindeer Kid ~ R14, R20, R27, E000, E23, E25, E31, E34, E51, YR23, YR27
Christmas Tree ~ G24, G28, G29, Y06, Y17, R14, R20, R27, E55, E57, E59, B000, B01

Have you started on your Christmas cards yet? I have just over a dozen in my stash... I really need to get more done so I'm not freaking out around the holidays. Well, that's it for me this time.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

So... I've been on a bit of a Slimline kick! Lol... have you tried making one yet?! They are so fun!

I love that extra bit of space to create with! I used a fun sketch from over at the Poetic Artistry blog, the current Mojo Monday #540 sketch challenge. I did make my slimline card a little bigger than the one posted for the sketch... this one is the trendy size that measures 3-1/2 x 8-1/2".

Isn't she just the cutest?!
I had so much fun coloring her in this sweet little scene. I used the following Copic markers:

Skin / Glasses ~ E000, E01, E11, No, BV01, R00, R21
Hair ~ E34, E51, E97
Bikini / Hat ~ Y06, Y11, Y13, YG03, YG11, R14, R21, R32
Pineapple / Drink ~ Y06, E25, YG03, YG11, YG63, N0, R0000, R14, R21, R32, YR15, YR68

Sand / Water / Sky ~ E25, E33, BG000, BG01, B0000, B000

I wanted to jazz up the sentiment so I thought a copic colored sun would be fun! I used Y000, Y11, Y06, and Y15.

A sweet summer time slimline card! I hope you like it!

I have a little process video showing the assembling of this card. I hope you'll check it out!

Scrapping for Less ~ May 2020 Let's Encourage One Another ~ Little Lady Collection

Hello there crafty friend!
Today, I'm sharing a few more cards using the adorable Little Lady Collection of the Let's Encourage One Another card kit! I have a bunch of pictures to share and a video so I'm going to try to keep this short... Lol. 'Try' is the key word here!

I just have to say that the variety of color combinations in this collection are so versatile!! I created four cards, but each of them are so different! So I started with this fabulous black and white card... I did use black card stock from my stash to finish this card. I used the following Copic markers ~ N0, N1, N2, N4, N6, Colorless Blender.

I'm entering my first card into the wonderful Mojo Monday sketch challenge #538...

If you ever find yourself in need of a little mojo boost, check out the Mojo Monday sketches over at Poetic Artistry... Julee's sketches rock!!

I had another strip of that black with white polka dot paper and thought it would be a fun contrast to the red with black polka dots. It was easy to keep the polka dot theme going with the dots in the flower swag and ladybugs ephemera pieces. And to finish it off, I added a few more dots with the enamel dots included in the collection.

How fabulous is this big 'you GOT this' die from the Banana Split subscription!?! I had the striped papers on my desk and was trying to figure out what to do with them... and then I saw this die! It's actually two dies... I die cut the sentiment from the striped papers and white card stock. I adhered those together. And then I die cut the shadow image twice from black card stock (again, from my stash) and adhered those together. I adhered the sentiment onto the shadow image and totally got stuck!! Lol... I knew I wanted to use more of the fabulous ephemera pieces but the layout was not working. Anyhow, I remembered a card that Teresa had shared recently where the top of the card was cut short to show some patterned paper inside the card and Bam! I had my design!

My last card is a CAS card that I created with the embossing powder included in the Banana Split subscription. Be sure to check out my process video down below!!

Here's one last look at all four cards together... they are all so different! I love how they turned out!
Have you received your card kit? We'd love to see your creations in the Scrapping for Less Show & Share Facebook group. We even have a fun sketch challenge going on through the month of June... come check it out!

Unity Stamp Co. ~ Stick Together ~ Mojo Monday Sketch!

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm popping in here real quick to share a card that I created for the recent release over at Unity Stamp Co. using this gorgeous Stick Together stamp!

Such a beautiful stamp to watercolor! I've really been enjoying my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers! It's nice to play with a different medium sometimes.

I combined this beautiful stamp with some old Stampin' Up! papers called Festive Birthday from my stash... I'm sure that they are retired, it's been so long! But they really worked well with the colors that I used to watercolor this image.

I used this beautiful Mojo Monday sketch #538 for my card design... I did move the orange patterned paper over a bit more to work with my design, but otherwise I kept to the sketch. I am loving using black for my neutral color lately. I hope you're liking it, as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
