Scrapping for Less ~ Easy Peasy Collection ~ Squeeze the Day!

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with one more look at the May 2020 Let's Encourage One Another card kit! Today, I'm sharing more inspiration using the gorgeous Easy Peasy Collection! Let's get right to it!

My first card is my absolute favorite! I love the colors and the simple design... those beautiful lemon blossoms are just the right touch for such a delicate combination of papers!
I used the following Copic Markers to color the lemon blossoms ~ C00, C1, Y11, Y03, Y13, YR0000, YR01.

I have been itching to make one of these beautiful lemons into a lime and I just had to pair it with this gorgeous green patterned paper. The photo makes my coloring appear to be a bit brighter, but in person it coordinates very nicely. I used the following Copic Markers to color these images:

Lemon ~ Y000, Y11, Y13, YG0000, YG11, G82
Lime ~ YG0000, YG03, YG11, YG63, G82

My third and final card features one of the gorgeous lemon patterned papers in the collection... I love the colors in these papers!! It just screams summer to me! Again, the photo makes my coloring on this one also looks a bit bright, but in person it's toned down. I used the same Copic markers for this last card but I kept the leaves lighter. You may also see a similarity to the card I created for my sneak peek of the Let's Encourage One Another card kit... I flipped the stitched die cut card stock pieces for a different design. You can check out my sneak peek card here... Easy Peasy Sneak Peek card.

Here's a video sharing the coloring of the lemon from my second card and the finishing touches of assembling these cards. I hope you'll check it out!!

Scrapping for Less ~ May 2020 Let's Encourage One Another ~ Little Lady Collection

Hello there crafty friend!
Today, I'm sharing a few more cards using the adorable Little Lady Collection of the Let's Encourage One Another card kit! I have a bunch of pictures to share and a video so I'm going to try to keep this short... Lol. 'Try' is the key word here!

I just have to say that the variety of color combinations in this collection are so versatile!! I created four cards, but each of them are so different! So I started with this fabulous black and white card... I did use black card stock from my stash to finish this card. I used the following Copic markers ~ N0, N1, N2, N4, N6, Colorless Blender.

I'm entering my first card into the wonderful Mojo Monday sketch challenge #538...

If you ever find yourself in need of a little mojo boost, check out the Mojo Monday sketches over at Poetic Artistry... Julee's sketches rock!!

I had another strip of that black with white polka dot paper and thought it would be a fun contrast to the red with black polka dots. It was easy to keep the polka dot theme going with the dots in the flower swag and ladybugs ephemera pieces. And to finish it off, I added a few more dots with the enamel dots included in the collection.

How fabulous is this big 'you GOT this' die from the Banana Split subscription!?! I had the striped papers on my desk and was trying to figure out what to do with them... and then I saw this die! It's actually two dies... I die cut the sentiment from the striped papers and white card stock. I adhered those together. And then I die cut the shadow image twice from black card stock (again, from my stash) and adhered those together. I adhered the sentiment onto the shadow image and totally got stuck!! Lol... I knew I wanted to use more of the fabulous ephemera pieces but the layout was not working. Anyhow, I remembered a card that Teresa had shared recently where the top of the card was cut short to show some patterned paper inside the card and Bam! I had my design!

My last card is a CAS card that I created with the embossing powder included in the Banana Split subscription. Be sure to check out my process video down below!!

Here's one last look at all four cards together... they are all so different! I love how they turned out!
Have you received your card kit? We'd love to see your creations in the Scrapping for Less Show & Share Facebook group. We even have a fun sketch challenge going on through the month of June... come check it out!

Unity Stamp Co. ~ Stick Together ~ Mojo Monday Sketch!

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm popping in here real quick to share a card that I created for the recent release over at Unity Stamp Co. using this gorgeous Stick Together stamp!

Such a beautiful stamp to watercolor! I've really been enjoying my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers! It's nice to play with a different medium sometimes.

I combined this beautiful stamp with some old Stampin' Up! papers called Festive Birthday from my stash... I'm sure that they are retired, it's been so long! But they really worked well with the colors that I used to watercolor this image.

I used this beautiful Mojo Monday sketch #538 for my card design... I did move the orange patterned paper over a bit more to work with my design, but otherwise I kept to the sketch. I am loving using black for my neutral color lately. I hope you're liking it, as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

I'm a huge fan of kraft card stock combined with blues so when I saw the Nuvo Sparkle Dust in the kit, I just had to make a background on kraft card stock!!

~ Friends of Unity June 2020 Blog Hop ~

Hello there crafty friend!
Today is the day for the Friends of Unity Blog Hop and as always, I am super excited!! I love these hops! I can't wait to see the creations that my friends are sharing this month... so, let's get to it!

Our cue this month: Wings!! Such a fun cue with all kinds of possibilities!

My first card was totally inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches current sketch AND the paper scraps that were literally on my desk!! Love when this happens! Not only do I use up those scraps but I have a beautiful card to add to my stash! The glitter cardstock is from DCWV and it matches perfectly with the colors in the I Am Mom paper pad by Echo Park. I adhered the papers to a True Black card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2".

I then stamped the circle with type print from the 3 Times as Sweet kit and the butterfly from the June 2014 KOM called In Love with Love on white card stock with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I dried both images well with my Ranger Heat Tool. I knew I wanted to color the circle, but I didn't think it through... I just found some inks and got to coloring. I dabbed my Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink onto my glass mat and used my watercolor brush to color around the circle. I made sure to not use much water since I didn't use a water friendly black ink. This is where my fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants creating came in... lol! I wanted to add a slightly darker yellow so I searched through my Distress Markers and sadly, I only have Mustard Seed... a little darker than I had wanted but I colored the outer portion of the circle with that and then ended up going over the circle again with the Squeezed Lemonade to lighten it back up. Thankfully the black ink didn't bleed too much! And I really love how it turned out!

I colored the butterfly with the following Copic markers ~ RV10, RV11, R43, B000, B41, Y06, Y11. I stamped the sentiment from the Whit's Words kit with VersaFine Onyx black ink and then fussy cut the butterfly, the circle, and the sentiment. I adhered them all together {leaving the butterfly's wings free to fly} and then popped the circle up on the card with foam tape. Love it!

{You can click that photo to check out the challenge if you'd like!}

I'm playing along with the FMS438 sketch from the fabulous Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog!

I've been on a bit of a watercoloring kick with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I've really been having a lot of fun with them actually!!

I stamped the gorgeous dragonfly and sentiment from the Hope & Strength kit with VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto Canson XL 140lb watercolor paper and heat set it with my Ranger Heat Tool.

And then I got to watercoloring!! I even did some ink blending over a stencil! I had a blast making this card! I have a video to share of this one. I hope you'll check it out!

Now, a little surprise... I chose a random number from the comments of the May hop and I have a prize to send to the lucky winner!!!

Scrapping for Less ~ May 2020 Let's Encourage One Another ~ Weather Together Collection

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing some more inspiration using the sweet Weather Together Collection of the May 2020 Let's Encourage One Another card kit! I have created three more cards to share with you today and even have a video of the third card!

My first card features the sunburst rainbow paper for my background layer that is trimmed down to 3-7/8 x 5-1/8" and mat on a piece of Blu Raspberry card stock measuring 4 x 5-1/4". I die cut a stitched circle from white card stock and then masked off the edge with some scrap paper. I then stamped the rainbow from the Weather the Storm stamp set with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored it with Copic markers. I then die cut another slightly bigger circle from the Blu Raspberry card stock and mat the rainbow circle.

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white card stock, trimmed it and mat it with the same Blu Raspberry card stock. I popped up the circle rainbow and sentiment with foam squares. A simple and cute card!

I still had the rainbow stamp on my Stamp Platform and had adhered these pretty patterned papers together so... I got to thinking that this would be a cute idea for a second card. What do you think? It's another simple design. I wrapped the ribbon around the card front and secured it with Tear & Tape from Stampin' Up. Here's a similar tape that's available in the SFL Shop... Scor-Tape. I then tied a knot with the little piece of ribbon left over and trimmed the edges. I used a glue dot to adhere it to the card... a little cheat for those days you don't want to fuss with trying to tie a bow. I popped up the rainbow panel that I had mat with the Blu Raspberry card stock with foam squares.

I used the same Copic markers for my first two cards. Here's a list:

Red ~ R000, R14
Orange ~ YR0000, YR16
Yellow ~ Y000, Y13
Green ~ G000, G07
Blue ~ B000, B02
Purple ~ V0000, V06

And here is my third card... a Faux Shaker card.

A close up photo of the third card. I created a video for this card... you can check it out down below!

My trio of Weather Together cards! These were fun to create!
There's only 4 card kits left... Hurry and order yours before they are all gone! ---> Let's Encourage One Another card kit!
