Membership Monday ~ New Year's Card ~ January 2022 Whit Kit from Unity

 Hello there crafty friend!
I got inky one more time with the beautiful January 2022 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co. called Resolutions. I know... we're already in February and here I am sharing a New Year's card. LOL! It doesn't hurt to get ahead though and now I have a cute New Year's card in my stash!

It also helps that this card was super quick!!
I cut my layers from the Resolutions pattern papers in the card kit and mat them on True Black card stock.

I adhered all the layers and even added a 1/4" strip of a third pattern paper across the bottom layer just to break up the background on the bottom layer. I think it also brings the eye to my focal piece - the cute hat!

I stamped the hat with Gina K. Black Amalgam ink and then colored the band with a few Copic Markers to give it a gold shine. I used Y21, Y23, Y26, and Y28. I also used Y21 on the sentiment on the hat. I used the coordinating dies from the card kit to die cut the hat and popped it up on the card with foam tape. Easy peasy... and like I said, super quick!

Here's another look at the awesome January 2022 Whit Kit - Resolutions! Such a fun kit!  Unfortunately, this kit isn't available anymore but the stamps and Resolutions {paper pack} are available at Unity. I hope you've been inspired to pull out your Whit Kit and get inky with it! A couple of weeks ago I promised to share a fun gift idea using the January 2022 KOM but my family and myself all got sick and I wasn't able to get that done. I plan to finally share this fun idea next week for Membership Monday!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Membership Monday ~ Quick Birthday Card ~ January 2022 Whit Kit from Unity

 Hello there crafty friend!
I have a little inspiration to share today using the January 2022 Whit Kit called Resolutions!
I've been in need of some birthday cards for my stash and I remembered the cute balloon stamp in this kit so I got inky!

This card has a few layers but really the design is super CAS and easy to make!

I went with a pretty color combo with blue-greens, yellow and pink... I like how it turned out!

I used Cracked Pistachio, Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks along with the star banner and balloon stamps from the Resolutions stamp kit. The bottom layers are the recently released Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}, also from Unity.

I also have a quick video up on my YouTube channel... Reveal & Quick Birthday Card | Jan 2022 Whit Kit.

Here's a look at the awesome January 2022 Whit Kit - Resolutions! Such a fun kit!  I hope you've been inspired to pull out your Whit Kit and get inky with it! I'll see you next week with a fun gift idea using the January 2022 KOM for Membership Monday!

Membership Monday Part 3 ~ November 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back for Part 3 of my Membership Monday posts this week... I sure hope that you've enjoyed the cards I've shared so far using the gorgeous November 2021 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co called Thankful & Blessed Pumpkins. Today I used one of my most favorite techniques...
Copic coloring on Kraft!

I love using kraft card stock during the Fall and Winter seasons... it's just so perfect! And I love how the Copic colors look on Kraft! I stamped the pretty pumpkins floral image with Gina K. Black Amalgam ink and then stamped just the center flower on a scrap of kraft card stock.

While I was coloring up this beautiful stamp for my card yesterday, I got to thinking how those same Copic colors would work on Kraft so I pretty much used all the same colors. Here's the list of Copic markers that I used to color up this beautiful stamp:

Pumpkins ~ YR15, YR21, YR27, YR68, E21, E23, E25, E29
Leaves ~ Y26, YG91, YG93, E23, E25
Center Flower ~ R00, R14, R20, R37, R59, Y15, Y21, Y38, YR27
Lighter Flowers ~ YR000, YR65
Berries ~ R20, R37, R59, E25
Magnolia Twigs ~ YG93, Y15, Y21

I used the coordinating die from the kit to die cut the colored image and set it aside. I colored up the center flower again on my scrap of kraft card stock, fussy cut it along the line and cleaned up the edges with my Memento Tuxedo black marker.

I added a bit of foam tape to the three petals and popped them up on the die cut. Such pretty dimension it gives to the card!

The background was created with the Mix & Mat Plaid dies from Papertrey Ink. I die cut a piece of kraft with all 3 pieces in the die set and then die cut a piece of dark brown card stock with just the outer twig die. I trimmed the dark brown outer twig die cut and adhered it to the kraft die cut piece. I adhered the inner portion of the twig die behind the plaid die cut. I also blended a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink over the kraft die cut and around the edges of my Kraft A2 top fold card base.

I stamped just a portion of the 'thankful & blessed' sentiment with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink on Kraft card stock and distressed the edges just a tiny bit with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. I trimmed the sentiment and then popped it up on the card with foam tape.

I hope that you've enjoyed the cards I've shared using the fabulous November 2021 Whit Kit from Unity! If you've been inspired to ink up your kit, I hope you'll share your creations in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group. I'd love to see what you've created! There's a few days left to join this amazing membership at Unity!

Tomorrow I'll be sharing my last card for the Non-Traditional Christmas Color Challenge... I hope you'll stop by to check it out!

Membership Monday Part 2 ~ November 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with Membership Monday Part 2 and today I'm featuring the beautiful pumpkin floral stamp from the November 2021 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co called Thankful & Blessed Pumpkins. Have you signed up for this amazing kit yet?! Oh my gosh... I had so much fun coloring up this stamp!

It's been awhile since I've made a regular slimline card and since the sentiments in this kit are long, I thought this was the perfect time to make one! I started with a 8-1/4 x 3-1/4" piece of the Honey Gold Mirror card stock.

A fun trick for using 6 x 6" papers for a regular slimline sized card is to cover up where the two papers connect and the pumpkin floral stamp is just the right size for this trick!

I stamped the pumpkin floral image with Gina K. Black Amalgam ink, colored it up with Copics and then die cut it with the coordinated die included in the kit. Here's the list of Copic markers that I used to color up this beautiful stamp:

Pumpkins ~ YR15, YR21, YR27, YR68, E21, E23, E25, E29
Leaves ~ Y26, YG91, YG93, E23
Center Flower ~ R00, R14, R20, R37, R59, Y15, Y21, Y38, YR27
Lighter Flowers ~ YR000, YR65, R00
Berries ~ R20, R37, R59, E25
Magnolia Twigs ~ YG93, Y15, Y21

I stamped the sentiment, trimmed it down and then mat it with a dark brown card stock. I just love this font for sentiments!! So pretty!

Here's a look at the amazing November 2021 Whit Kit!! I have one more card to share with you using this gorgeous kit! I hope you'll drop by to check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Membership Monday Part 1 ~ November 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with another Membership Monday post but today is just Part 1! I had so much fun playing with the amazing November 2021 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co called Thankful & Blessed Pumpkins that I made a total of three cards!! I decided to share my cards over the next three days rather than overload the blog post today. I hope you'll stop by and check out my cards each day!

My first card really was inspired by the beautiful papers in the Thankful and Blessed Pumpkins {paper pack}... the colors are gorgeous and I literally could have made several cards using this basic design.

I used the Honey Gold Mirror card stock for my card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I trimmed the dark brown splattered paper to 4 x 3" and the floral paper to 4 x 2-1/4".

I adhered those to the Honey Gold Mirror card front and adhered a 1/8" piece of the Honey Gold Mirror card stock to cover where the two papers touched.

I stamped the 'happy thanksgiving' sentiment from the stamp kit with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and fussy cut around the sentiment. I adhered it to the card and decided I was done. I love the simplicity of the card... letting the pretty papers shine!

Here's a look at the amazing November 2021 Whit Kit!! My card for tomorrow features the gorgeous pumpkin stamp included in this kit! I hope you'll drop by to check it out!

Pretty One Layer Card~ July 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with a quick one layer card using the beautiful July 2021 Whit Kit called The Secret of Change from Unity Stamp Co. I got to thinking that the pretty ink cube colors would make a lovely background so I had to give it a try and I love how it turned out! I hope you do too!

This technique is fun when working with ink cubes... especially when they look so pretty together! I debated using white as my neutral color (and I still might) but I like the boldness of the black!

A little sparkly touch with the gorgeous glitter enamel dots included in the kit!
I have a quick process video for this card. You can check it out here... Pretty One Layer Card | July 2021 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.

Here's another look at The Secret of Change card kit from Unity Stamp Co. If you're not already a member of this fabulous kit, go check it out! I just love my kit every month!

Simple Sketch Cards ~ July 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I have four cards to share using the beautiful July 2021 Whit Kit called The Secret of Change from Unity Stamp Co. I am loving the beautiful butterflies in this kit!! And of course, the papers are dreamy! Another fab kit!

All of my cards today use the same simple sketch... first I chose a simple paper for my card front. For this card, that's the pink paper with white flowers. I chose a complimentary paper for my layer (3 x 4") and mat it on white card stock (3-1/8 x 4-1/8").

I adhered these layers together and then stamped my solid butterfly on a die cut circle of white card stock with the Panama Rose Nuvo Hybrid ink cube that's included in the kit. I then stamped the detailed butterfly with Wow Clear Embossing ink and heat embossed Alabaster White Embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I stamped the sentiment and then trimmed it a bit for this card. The sentiment is adhered directly on the top layer but the butterfly circle is popped up with foam squares.

For my second card, I used the mint paper with tiny colorful flowers and then paired it up with the butterfly paper that also has the tiny flowers. I think these two compliment each other nicely!

I used the Rubber Duck Nuvo Hybrid ink cube that's included in the kit with this card.

I was curious to see how the Lime Burst Nuvo Hybrid ink cube would look with the mint green paper... it doesn't match but in person it looks a whole lot nicer. Just saying!

So I tried again... with the Panama Rose Nuvo Hybrid ink cube. I think this looks much better. Again, I paired up a mint green paper with the leaves (or are they feathers...? Not totally sure.) with the cream butterfly papers.

This may just be my favorite card of the bunch!

I have a video showing my process with this fourth card. You can check it out here... Simple Sketch Card | July 2021 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.

Here's all three cards together... these would make a great gift for a friend!

I just love the beautiful colors in this month's kit!
I'll be back on Thursday with another card using the beautiful July 2021 Whit Kit!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Simple Dimension ~ May 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I have two more cards to share using the beautiful May 2021 Whit Kit called Beauty of Becoming from Unity Stamp Co. You may have noticed that all of my cards with this kit have had a similar sketch design but each of them have also been different depending on the products I've used. I hope you've been inspired to pull out your kit and play as well! I hope you'll share you're creations in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group if you do get a chance to play.

My first card today features the gorgeous flowers in the Beauty of Becoming stamp set. I really enjoyed coloring these! I used similar colors to the papers in the kit. The pretty patterned paper layer is die cut with a circle die from the Additional Circles Dies by Waffle Flower.

I colored the pretty flowers with the following Copic markers:

Petals ~ R05, R12, R22, Colorless Blender
Flower Centers ~ YR12, YR20, YR31
Leaves ~ G0000, G00, YG61, YG63

My second card features the lovely hummingbird!! I love this stamp! I used the same Copic colors to color this image. I fussy cut both the flowers and the hummingbird and adhered the tips of the images to the patterned paper.

I stamped the sentiments with VersaFine Onyx black ink and then heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing powder. I adhered the sentiments to the patterned paper as well and then popped up the entire top layer with foam tape... a bunch of it!

I love the dimension that the foam tape gives to the card, but also the dimension in the coloring!
You can check out my process video for this card here... Simple Dimension | May 2021 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.

Layered Stencils ~ May 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am back with another pretty card featuring the May 2021 Whit Kit called Beauty of Becoming. This time the card kind of had a mind of it's own and went in a totally different direction than I had planned. So funny how that can happen!

This card has a similar design as the first card with the circle focal piece... but I stamped the beautiful flower stamp repeatedly with Classic Kraft ink on Kraft card stock for a watermark look. I also used the gorgeous Glacier Paste included in the kit for the fun sparkly polka dot background on the circle die cut.

The beautiful hummingbird is stamped with Gina K. Design Amalgam black ink and then heat set with a Mini Wagner heat tool.

I watercolored the bird with Vintage Pastel watercolors from Prima Marketing. I added some more shading and dimension with Prismacolor Pencils. And finished the detail on the bird with a white gel pen... adding highlights to the eye and the centers of the flowers.

I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white card stock with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. I trimmed it and adhered it directly to the card. The hummingbird is popped up with a whole bunch of mini stampin' dimensionals. You can check out my video for this card here... Layered Stencils | May 2021 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.

No Coloring ~ May 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'll be sharing some fun inspiration using the new May 2021 Whit Kit this week. First up is a No Coloring card! I know that sometimes I just don't feel like coloring and the gorgeous stamps in the Beauty of Becoming set in the kit have SO much detail that you can absolutely get away without coloring them!!

Here's a very simple card featuring the beautiful hummingbird. I cut a piece of the patterned paper to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8" and adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base. I die cut the circle from another piece of the beautiful paper in the Simple Spring paper pack... absolutely gorgeous papers in this kit!!

Now, I wanted to make this one into a birthday card so I pulled out one of favorite sentiments from the Aging Gorgeously sentiment kit and stamped it directly on the bottom layer of pattern paper. Done! So easy... I have a little process video to share that also shows all the fun contents in the kit. You can check that out here... No Coloring | May 2021 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.

Here's a look at the contents of the May 2021 Whit Kit. This kit is  available at Unity Stamp Co.

I'll be back tomorrow with another card I created with the May 2021 Whit Kit.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
